  April at Bluebird was fantastic at my brother's wedding in '06 and I knew from that day on I wanted her to photograph my wedding. The pictures are beyond my expectations and I am in love with everyone of them. Any idea you have for a pictures she will listen to and then run with it and make it even more fantastic than your vision. She is always available for questions and very helpful in the planning/timeline making process. Highly recommend as a photographer!

  We looked online and asked around for photographer referrals when planning our wedding. April's website was impressive and lots people agreed she would be a fantastic choice. Our wedding was at the Art Museum in Cincinnati, but we lived in Washington, DC at the time. April was very accommodating. We talked on the phone and met in person when we were in town. From the very beginning, she listened to what we wanted and truly honored our requests. We wanted a photographer who would capture moments of our day without invading everyone's space and worrying about striking the perfect pose. April was totally flexible and worked with us to make sure everything went smoothly. The finished prints are absolutely gorgeous! She provided memories for us that will last the rest of our lives. Everyone who looks through our album is amazed at the quality of the photos. I highly recommend trusting April with your photographic needs.

  April was great to work with! She always responded quickly to questions and concerns. She was always professional and worked with us to get us the shots that we wanted. She was prompt and well organized. She went above and beyond to make sure the spirit of our wedding day was captured. When it came to putting the album together she worked with us right down to the last detail. The result is amazing! We are so thrilled with all of our pictures. I know we'll use April again in the future!

  My husband and I got married in April and when planning for our wedding we knew we wanted professional, beautiful, creative, and fun photographs to remember our special day. When we met with April, we instantly knew she was "the one" with her fun, upbeat, and relaxed personality, that clicked with ours, and we felt like old friends. We had viewed her work on her website and thought she may have the point of view we were looking for. We didn't want the standard "stand and pose" look for our photographs and wanted to capture as much true, spontaneous emotion that we could, while having artistically creative pictures at the same time. After leaving, my husband commented that April was his favorite wedding vendor of all that we had hired. He knew she "got it" and was excited for her to be with us on our big day. April went out of her way to meet with me in Lexington to go over the last minute details and took extensive notes of those "necessary shots". She was easy to talk to and very easy to work with, complying with any request (whether large or small) that we had. She shot our engagement pics and we had a blast and I was stunned at how great the pictures turned out and how quickly she worked, even with our dogs! The day of the wedding April arrived early and with plenty of help and all of our notes in hand. She blended into the background without being noticed all the while getting great shots of us pre-wedding. Her presence, confidence, and demeanor were comforting and relaxing all at the same time. She was extremely efficient. The photographs were fabulous and we received SO many great compliments on them. We were so glad April and her team were a part of our day and grateful to have such awesome photographs to remember it with. I highly recommend April's expert and professional services to anyone searching for a fantastic photographer for any occasion!

  April is absolutely FANTASTIC!! She took specific photos that I wanted taken, but she also took some photographs that were absolutely amazing and unexpected. I love how none of her photos look staged, they are all completedly relaxed. You come to find that some of the best photos taken are the photos that you didn't know about, she just snapped a photo while you were walking away. She captures moments that are simply but mean the most.

  April traveled to Lexington, Ky. for our October wedding and we had a wonderful time with her as our photographer! She was friendly, creative, flexible!, agreeable, and above all extremely professional! She instantly put everyone at ease and proceeded to work her magic.   April was our photographer at our wedding in Cincinnati last September. She was the only photographer I interviewed - I saw her photos on Style Me Pretty blog and after I met with her I was sold! She is so friendly and bubbly, but also laid back and made the entire experience simple and easy. She has great taste (very similar to mine) - and totally understand the bold, modern, urban style I was going for. The day was amazing, and she really captured it all in the photos. I can't thank her enough and would recommend her to anyone who is out there searching for their photographer for their big day.

  Our family LOVES April!!! This year April did our engagement photos and photographed our wedding day...which turned out AMAZING. April also photographed my brother's wedding, my sister-in-law's pregnancy, and our twin newphew's first birthday...our family keeps coming back for more because April is just that damn good!! Not only is she a skilled photographer but a really fun person to work with. I would definitely recommend her to anyone!

April is truly gifted at connecting with her clients and subjects and makes you feel right at home in front of her camera. She did have to travel to Columbus for our event but she arrived early and had even done some scouting out of a few locations for pictures. While April is very personable, she also gets down to business-which was very important with our ornery wedding party (and some family). She managed to take flawless pictures, while still having a good time with all of us. I would HIGHLY recommend her to anyone looking to have beautiful photos to remember their wedding day. Just take a look at her website- the photographs speak for themselves. Our wedding day was absolutely perfect and so much fun, and April was a big part of making that day fantastic.

  From the moment Ryan and I walked into April's studio, we felt welcome and invited! April was not only a true professional but she cared to get to know us as people and not just future clients. Before even discussing prices or packages, she asked us about how we met and our love story. No one else had done that and it definitely set her apart from the pack! When we started discussing packages, etc. I couldn't help but be in awe of her organization and attention to detail. The packet of information she gave to us (before we had even picked her) was so well put together it quickly became evident to us that April was to be our wedding photographer.
  
  From the moment we booked her, she was there for us whenever we had a quick question or needed some advice. She was quick in her responses and her organizational skills continued throughout the planning process to ensure our day ran smoothly. She even was flexible the morning of the wedding when us girls were running behind (what a surprise!). She truly made the day a completely relaxing and enjoyable experience.
  
  My favorite quality about April is her ability to capture the truly meaningful moments without being obtrusive and getting in the way of your day. She was an absolute joy to work with and everyone at our wedding couldn't stop singing her praises!

My husband was living out of town at the time, and even during the spring, which is a busy wedding season, she was accommodating in helping us set up an engagement photo session. Furthermore, she captured so many great moments during our wedding day that we may otherwise have forgotten, if not for her! We also loved the fact that she took control of things on our wedding day. The posed pictures went by quickly, and she directed us where we needed to be and when. We can't say enough great things about April, and she continued to exceed our expectations in helping us create an AMAZING wedding album! We will be able to relive our wedding through the beautiful images she captured for us and are very grateful!

After several nightmare attempts to interview two other “highly recommended” photographers, and a “sneak peak” at the stunning photographs on her website, I met April. Two hours and many stories and laughs later, I knew that I had found the perfect person to capture and preserve the memories of our special day.
  
  Above all, April is a very talented artist whose vision and creativity allow her to take and produce extraordinary photographs. She is also the consummate professional. But, perhaps most important, April is a personality. From the moment she stepped into the getting ready chaos, to the last photograph of the memorial dance for my husband's brother, April made our day (and never missed a beat or a photograph). Along the way, she made everyone comfortable and capture everyone’s unique personalities – from my photo-shy husband, to my audacious stepson (be sure and ask her what about her he liked most), to my Autistic nephew.   Working with April was the BEST money we spent on our wedding. I have so many friends that have used "high quality/well known" photographers in Cincinnati and still end up disappointed with their pictures. I LOVE my pictures and continually get raving compliments from others.

  April was fantastic, she is creative and fun to work with. Very organized and prepared. She works very hard to get the best pictures she can and caputre moments you would not have seen otherwise.

But what you can't see is all the details behind the pictures...the way she caught every moment of the day but you never really noticed her, her ability to get even the most un-photogenic people look amazing, her help throught the day on non-photo-related things (where did that cake knife go again?) and her follow-up afterward. 100% recommended

I can't say enough good things about her. She's easy to work with, professional, creative, and has a great eye for detail.

  I cannot imagine having a more perfect wedding photographer. April was so easy to work with and made me and my camera shy husband very comfortable. She was not only our photographer, but she also doubled as a semi-wedding planner. She helped me to map out my day and did tons over and above her job (holding my crying nephew, fixing the aisle runner when my brothers couldn't!). The pictures look like they came from a magazine even though we were working on a budget. If you are looking into photographers for your wedding, make sure you check Bluebird out, you won't regret it!

  We have used April for many, MANY events in our life over the last three years!   April was the best choice I made throughout all of my wedding planning. Her sense of humor kept us all relaxed, and her eye for beautiful shots is amazing! She was professional even in the face of my father-in-law, who loves to tease. Most importantly, I had beautiful pictures to remind me of the wedding.

  Bluebird's work truly speak for itself. April is amazing at what she does and has a wonderful personality. I am so glad she was available to shoot our wedding because there is no other photographer we wanted!
