they were great across the board; from the ceremony to the reception where they had the whole place dancing, they took our playlist and made our wedding a day no one will forget! Especially since their videography created amazing videos enabling us to relive each moment any time we want!

The Best!!

Blue Wave Band was crucial to achieving the wedding of our dreams. We wanted the dance floor to be alive and packed from the first song to the very last, and they delivered!! Not only were they A++ day of (with ceremony sound, MC during the dinner and toasts, and full band on the dance floor), they were incredibly professional and easy to work with leading up to the event. Wedding Band Review

I had my wedding at Waverley Country Club on Saturday, July 26, 2025 and we hired the Blue Wave Band for our wedding and they were phenomenal! To last song of the night, they were professional and incredibly talented. Marc worked closely with us to tailor the setlist to our tastes just for our big day. The music was flawless—everything from the romantic ceremony pieces with the strings to the upbeat reception dance hits that kept our guests entertained and on the dance floor. So many of our guests came up to us raving about the band and asking where we found them. Their energy, sound quality, and stage presence were top-notch. My wife and I hired Marc because he was recommended highly by The Knot website. We were very pleased by his performance and knowledge of music. He is very professional, dressed the part and our evening went off without a hitch, (pun definitely intended). Blue Wave Band: A Seamless and Stunning Musical Experience

From the very first consultation with Annie to the final note played at our Space Needle wedding, Blue Wave Band delivered an absolutely exceptional musical experience. Planning a wedding, especially at a unique venue like the Space Needle, can be daunting, but Annie and her team made the music aspect completely stress-free and utterly memorable.

Annie was incredibly helpful in designing the perfect musical lineup for our special day. She listened attentively to our vision and curated a selection of musicians that perfectly matched the vibe we were aiming for. The acoustic ceremony renditions of Jack Johnson's "Better Together" and Maggie Rogers' "Love You For A Long Time" were simply breathtaking. Their performance was heartfelt and beautifully executed, creating a truly magical atmosphere.

The transition to the trio (singer, bass, and guitar) for cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing was seamless. They provided the perfect blend of classy, timeless music with a touch of modern pop hits, ensuring everyone, from our youngest to our oldest guests, enjoyed themselves. The energy was fantastic, and the music flowed effortlessly throughout the evening.

What truly set Blue Wave Band apart was their professionalism and attention to detail. Annie’s thorough explanation of each step in the process was incredibly reassuring, and their ability to handle the logistical challenges of a Space Needle wedding was remarkable. 10/10 for Blue Wave Band!

Blue Wave Band was fantastic and really made our day special for everyone involved. We had been to a couple weddings where they had performed and so we knew we were getting quality music. But what was very helpful was the preparation process they have built out. We went to their showcase about 8 months before our wedding and got a great preview of their talent and songs they can play, and we had a great time listening to live music. Then when we gained access to their portal, they made it simple enough to share our likes and dislikes and they were able to play most of the songs we requested! Finally, the last call we had with David to firm up all the details was very reassuring. We utilized their band for the reception and dancing, and had their guitarist play as we walked down the aisle. They were prepared, timely, and set an incredible tone for the specific moments. We couldn't recommend them enough!

People are still talking about the band!

We're so happy to have chosen Blue Wave Band for our wedding music! The music was seamless as we switched between DJ at the ceremony, a jazz trio for cocktail hour, an incredible 7-piece band for most of the evening, and then finishing up the night with DJ again. They got everyone on the dance floor, played the most amazing horah, and kept the party going. All our guests agree they were amazing!

Knocked it out of the park!

The Blue Wave Band played at our wedding as both a jazz combo and a six piece band, and they knocked it out of the park. They are extremely talented and creative musicians that know how to start a party and keep the party going. Everyone got up to dance and sing together to crowd favorites, and many guests remarked on how uncanny the band’s cover renditions were of the originals – they put a lot of attention to detail.

Our point-person, RL, was very communicative and helpful throughout the planning process, and he was fantastic on guitar. The band was also super receptive to our music likes, dislikes, and special requests. I’m a musician myself, and asked the band if it would be possible to learn a song of mine to play together on stage, and they were happy to accommodate! I was blown away – we’d never played before at all, and I’d only sent along some sheet music and a reference recording, but they played it flawlessly.

Long story short, booking BWB is absolutely the right call. But if you want to hear them for yourself, definitely go to one of their showcase performances! That’s where we first saw Paige (an awesome vocalist and frontwoman) and Cliff (an unstoppable sax player) and specifically requested them for the wedding. We really could not be happier with the band’s professionalism and performance, and can’t recommend them enough.

The absolue best!

Everything about the Blue Wave Band came off spectacularly at my Son’s wedding. It was exactly the live music experience that they hoped for to make the evening very special and memorable. There was nothing but high praise from all who attended, many who danced to the bitter end. The music was fantastic, with a stellar professional line-up. Absolutely amazing.

We worked with RL on the planning side. He was extremely helpful and accomodating. We had so many specific song requests that were not on their normal list. Amazing energy and so much fun!

We had the Blue Wave Band play at our July 2023 wedding, and it was honestly one of our favorite parts of the day! They brought so much energy and were great at reading the room. They really seemed to know how to get everybody dancing! They were also super easy to work with in the months leading up to our wedding and were able to play a couple of songs we specially requested. Versatile and talented group!

We opted for a 4-piece instrumental jazz band (guitar, keys, bass, and sax) for our reception and they were perfect! We wanted just acoustic guitar for the ceremony, which was seamless with the program, and the reception band was just what we hoped - great for dancing or mingling and a good fit for our backyard garden party vibe. The neighbors later said they came out to their deck to listen because the music was so good! When my husband and I showed up last at the reception, the band surprised us with "Isn't She Lovely", and really made our entrance. Dante was wonderful to work with in the planning stage, and they are very thorough. We loved having Blue Wave Band as part of our event!

This band MADE our reception

We almost didn't reach out to Blue Wave because after I heard their demos I assumed they would be out of our price range. I'm SO glad we did reach out, because what Blue Wave delivered was nothing short of amazing. I had multiple unsolicited questions from our guests asking how we had found such an amazing band for our wedding. The band was also very sensitive to the vibe of our wedding and leaned in to what we wanted without our even knowing what to ask for. I would recommend Blue Wave to anyone!

Blue Wave Band - The BEST

The Blue Wave Band just played at my daughter's wedding in Sunriver, OR. They exceeded my expectations in every way. Marc is very organized and detailed. He works with you ahead of time to get everything nailed down. They did the PA system for the outside ceremony and then used our playlist for the cocktail hour. Sarah MC'd the reception and was flawless. By the time the reception started, I know there planning was great but once they started playing, their musicianship blew us all away. They can play just about anything and play it well. I lost count of how many people told me they were "the best wedding band I've ever heard." If I had another wedding to plan I would not hesitate to book them - in fact I'd go as far as to check with them to make sure they are available before picking a date.

We hired them for our wedding on NYE - they were awesome. Super professional, right from booking, leading us through what they needed for the night etc. And everyone - including us - loved them! Incredible performers and lovely to work with!

Blue Wave Band was absolutely incredible at our wedding! They brought a very talented troupe to perform, and were great value for the wonderful performances they put on. We hired Blue Wave for the ceremony music, cocktail hour, and the reception - they executed flawlessly and so many of our guests shared how great they were.

During the reception, they kept the crowd energized and many of us danced until we had to leave, and we could tell they were having a great time performing for all of us too. We requested a few specific songs for our processional and recessional, and for our first dance - we really appreciated them being so flexible to our (somewhat obscure) song requests, and they did an amazing job for all of them.

During planning, they were very communicative and wonderful to work with - they were always quick to respond to the many questions we had, and were willing to discuss and provide feedback when we weren't certain on some of our details. We'd love to work with them again and recommend them for anyone planning a party in the Pacific Northwest!

Wedding Day: Blue Wave Band 10/10!

Marc and the Blue Wave Band were AMAZING! From the initial outreach all the way to the final song of the night, it was an incredible experience and they truly made our wedding day the best day ever. So easy to coordinate with and get on the same page for how we envisioned the event going... which for us was incredibly helpful because these guys are pros and know how to get the group dancing and grooving. The MC service was seamless, the music was awesome, and they played a wide array of hits from oldies to popular crowd-pleasers. Couldn't recommend enough to make sure you have the best wedding day possible! 10/10.

So impressively good!

The Blue Wave Band shaped the second half of our wedding celebration, and made it an absolute party. We had such a blast dancing and singing on the dance floor along to all of our favorite songs. The band is so much more than your typical wedding band. Both the instrumentalists (especially the saxophonist) and the vocalists absolutely crushed it. I would hire the band again in an instant!

BWB is the best!

We had a wonderful experience working with the Blue Wave Band from start to finish! Leading up to our big day, they helped guide us every step of the way to curate and create the exact vibe we were going for, and I felt so confident that they understood what we wanted. We started with a string quartet for the ceremony and we were able to proceed into the ceremony to some of our favorite songs played on the string instruments. They played great music for the cocktail hour and dinner, and played our requested songs for our first dances. Then it was time for them to shine during dancing. The dance party was absolutely epic and we had the best time ever. They struck the perfect balance between playing the classics and more recent hits. They also did a great job MCing throughout the evening and that made for a smooth run of show from beginning to end. Thank you Blue Wave Band!

Get on the dance floor and stay there!

The Blue Wave Band was fantastic- the 7-piece ensemble got everyone out on the dance floor and kept them there! While they get very busy over the wedding season, they always responded to my communications, met our song/style requests, and also allowed me to step in and play my saxophone with them for one song, which made me feel like a rockstar. Exceptional

Best decision we made for the whole day, and it was a magical day! This team was communicative and easy to work with from day one. The reason we decided on a band was to create an atmosphere for all of the generations attending, and I am not exaggerating when I say that the dance floor was PACKED from start to finish! Amazing Band!

AMAZING! If you are looking for a band for your wedding/event, these are the people! Marc was so helpful along the way and the group that came out to play for both the ceremony (live guitar) and reception (4 piece band including vocal) were phenomenal and incredibly sweet! This band was the best part of our wedding!

I learned about this band through a friend, and went to their local showcase and knew we had to hire them. It was great to have an option for how many members to hire. The band coordinator was super helpful and kind guiding me during the planning, and the music the day of was amazing!
It was the most raved about part of the whole event, people mostly commented about the band and what fun it was. Definitely go to their showcases and hire them if you can!!

Blue Wave Band is amazing!

Blue Wave Band is the best! The planning process went smoothly with our producer/coordinator Marc. He was quick with responding to emails and was able to answer all of our questions. Our guests and us absolutely adored the band. They did such a great job with all sorts of genres (funk, slow songs, jazz, pop music). Our guests were up dancing for most of the night and raved about the band to the bride and groom. We definitely recommend Blue Wave Band for anyone's wedding that wants a strong music group!

The BEST Seattle Wedding Band!

We cannot recommend Blue Wave Band enough! Leading up to the wedding, David was very communicative, accommodating, organized, flexible, and professional. We had our wedding at a private residence so there were a lot of unknowns and pre-planning that needed to happen. David always made us feel at ease and was available to chat on the phone whenever we needed. The band played everything we requested and read the room to always match the energy of the crowd. All of the musicians were extremely talented (we had an eight-piece) and sounded very tight playing together. Annie, the lead singer, was a knockout! The entire night went off without a hitch and we couldn't have been happier with our experience.

9 Piece Wedding Band

The Blue Wave Band truly made our wedding day. We had said from the beginning the thing we were both most excited for was the band, and they did not disappoint. From start to finish, Marc and the crew were amazing to work with. They were extremely accommodating and focused on making their structure and style work for you. We had the best freakin time and so did all of our guests—from great grand children to getting my great grandma out on the dance floor. They loved it. So glad we hired Blue Wave!

The Blue Wave Band was exactly what we were hoping for when we booked live music for our outdoor wedding at Skamania Lodge. We were looking for a live jazzy/bluesy feel for the night, and they hit it out of the park, with drums, sax, bass, and keyboard. They allowed us to swap in additional instrumentation as we got closer to the wedding, and offered MC service + mics for the ceremony itself. We had 2 calls with them beforehand, and were also able to provide custom ceremony entrance and exit music. They were a blast during the reception, and everyone was talking about how great the music was throughout (and well after) the event. It was worth the splurge to have Blue Wave Band join us, and honestly, it wasn't even as costly as I thought live music might be. If you're looking for live music, I highly recommend their group.

Best Band Ever!

Blue Wave did an absolutely outstanding job at our wedding! My family, friends, and I absolutely love dancing and live music, and these guys are GOOD! Every artist was so talented and friendly, and the songs were perfect selections for our group. My only regret is that we couldn't have kept dancing for many more hours!! The emcee did a fantastic job of introducing people and guiding the reception events, and was flexible to impromptu changes in the timeline.

The planning process was incredibly smooth and thorough; Marc was very responsive, organized and detailed and took to heart all of my requests and preferences.

Overall, couldn't be happier with our choice to book Blue Wave Band!! If you want to guarantee a packed dance floor with your favorite tunes, I recommend booking them too!

#1 best vendor, absolutely perfect, no complaints. I even had a special request that Marc accommodated generously and without a hitch - above and beyond. I'll paraphrase a review I read before reaching out to Blue Wave - stop looking and just book Blue Wave! They're the one!!

Professional and Entertaining...Every Time!

As a wedding planner I have been hiring musicians for my couple's weddings for over twelve years and I only works with the best, most professional and most talented there is! Whether it is the entire a band or a solo artist, The Blue Wave Band always arrives early, is professional and never fails to perform to perfection! The Force is strong with this one.

Blue Wave Band did such a great job at our wedding. We hired a string quartet for the ceremony and a 6 piece band for the reception and the ambiance throughout the night took things to the next level.

As a nerdy couple, they helped make our night really unique with music from the Avengers and Star Wars in addition to all the classics one would expect. We received several compliments from friends and family about them and they kept the party going all night!

Would definitely recommend!

Highlight of the Evening!

Let’s just say Blue Wave had everyone on the dance floor! So many of my guests approached me about how impressed they were with the band, one of the waitstaff even said she wants them for her upcoming wedding after hearing them play. Working with David and the band was professional, streamlined and fun. They had plenty recommendations and accommodated my special requests such as including a saxophone player in the 4-piece and incorporating Latin songs into the setlist. You can really tell they enjoy what they do and are extremely talented musicians and entertainers. You will not be disappointed!

Highlight of the party!

We hired blue wave for our big day and I couldn’t have more than amazing things to say about them. We went with the 8 piece band and they truly blew all of our expectations out of the water. They flowed perfectly from song to song covering all of the hits including the Jewish Hora for our chair celebration. Every inch of the dance floor was full the entire reception! 6 weeks later and we are still getting compliments about how amazing the band was and how much fun they brought to the party. Don’t hesitate, hire them!

Amazing experience from start to finish

After initially hearing Blue Wave Band play at a showcase in 2019, we were hooked. We went with a 7 piece band, ceremony music, and a DJ for the final hour of our reception (due to noise restrictions), and couldn't have been happier. All the musicians are incredibly talented, and kept even those guests who don't normally dance, on the dance floor the entire time. Emily, as our emcee, absolutely crushed it - her energy was contagious. The lead-up to the event was so smooth as well. We had a challenging private estate venue on an island, but David and his team worked magic behind the scenes to ensure all the details were worked out and that we did not need to stress about anything! Clear dates and information needed were provided throughout the process through a very helpful dashboard. Furthermore, when we had to postpone our 2020 wedding to 2021, David made the entire process seamless! You cant go wrong with hiring Blue Wave Band!

Talented musicians, well organized, tons of fun

Our wedding planner connected us with Blue Wave Band after the band we had originally booked had to cancel last minute. In a matter of 72 hours, they were able to take in the extensive plan that we’d worked on for months with the other band. Communication over this short period was clear and organized, and it allowed us to relax and trust that they would do a great job.

We really lucked out that they had a crew available that close to our wedding. Having high quality live music was something we were really looking forward to and the Blue Wave Band came through in a big way. The musicians were all very talented, the sound quality was well-engineered, and their overall production was well organized. They played acoustic songs during our ceremony, played a few songs during cocktail hour, and then played the reception for nearly 3 hours. They played a wide spectrum of music from classic rock, to 80’s & 90’s pop, to some modern hits as well, but I have no doubt they could execute on just about any genre. Everyone was dancing and enjoying the music – including our friends in their late 20’s to mid 30’s, and our younger and older relatives. They even ripped a few well-placed solos that were a ton of fun. Afterwards we received a lot of positive feedback on how good the band was and how much fun our friends and family had dancing and enjoying the music.

We boogied all night long

Blue Wave Band was absolutely fantastic! We had DJ service at our ceremony and a 6-piece band and MC for our reception. Live music was a priority in our budget and BWB delivered on every penny we spent. David, the producer, was very professional, clear, and helpful throughout the entire process. The online portal with the band planning page was incredibly straight forward and very detailed. We listed our music preferences, but only chose specific songs for the formal dances. We trusted the rest of the music to be chosen by the band, and they were phenomenal! We had so much fun, and our guests loved the experience of live music. We would highly recommend BWB for any event!

An Unforgettable Party!

Hiring Blue Wave Band for our wedding was the easiest and best decision we made! We went with an 11-piece band for our reception as well as audio assistance during our wedding ceremony and their emcee service throughout to keep things rolling. Planning with Dave was easy: he is responsive, professional, and thorough. We had peace of mind prior to our big day that everything would go smoothly, and it did! The 11-piece band we hired for the cocktail hour and reception was phenomenal to say the least. They really know how to get the party going and keep people on the dance floor! Our guests loved it and I still get comments from friends and family about how great the band was at our wedding. You won’t regret hiring this group for an unforgettable night and party!

Perfect Party Band

Look No Further—This is the BEST band ever!!

Blue Wave Band played at my daughter’s wedding reception and were phenomenal! I can’t say enough great things about them—amazing musicians, great music choices and super fun. We and our guests were blown away by their talent. In addition they handled the announcements beautifully and helped keep us on schedule. Book Blue Wave Band!

There is a reason Blue Wave Band is rated so highly on every single wedding planning site. The energy the band brought to my July 2021 wedding was amazing, and the proportion of our guests on the dance floor was way higher than other weddings I've attended. They played a wide range of music that appealed to all of our guests, and the talent of the entire band was superb. Every guests' jaw dropped when the lyrics to No Diggity were rapped to perfection! One guest told us Blue Wave Band was the best live band they've ever heard, and I overheard another guest ask if they'd travel to Florida for their own wedding! I honestly wish they had regular shows, because I'd totally go and hear them again! I'd highly recommend their MC service as it helped us stick to our timeline and made the event flow nicely. They also helped so much with the planning process before the big day, and I really appreciated the time the band's manager, David, put into checking all the details of our event. If you are trying to decide whether to book them for your own event, just do it. It'll be worth every penny!

Best dance party ever!

The best band I've met!

I am a Seattle-based wedding planner who recently worked with Blue Wave Band for the first time. I was BLOWN AWAY. We hired the band for a combination of DJ services and live band entertainment. They were incredibly organized during the planning process and have a client portal to help couples organize all the musical details for their day. They were flexible to add on band members and an MC as rules adjusted coming out of the pandemic. Their musicians actively read the crowd and adjusted their set list based on what guests responded positively to. Their MC was charismatic, their musicians energetic, and they really set the celebratory vibes for everyone present. In 2022, they are going to be my FIRST CALL for my five year anniversary party. Need I say more? If you're looking to hire incredible talent for your wedding or party, look no further.

Blue Wave Band is Amazing!

The Blue Wave Band was absolutely fantastic! They are gifted, talented, professional musicians that know how to make an event an awesome experience for the guests. The band's performance created an atmosphere that truly made our New Year's Eve Wedding Reception a huge success. The dance floor was full from the beginning to the very end and everyone had a blast (an amazing band is the ONLY thing that keeps the dance floor packed all night long). The comment we heard over and over from our guests was "That band is so amazing!" The variety of music they performed was impressive. We started the evening with cocktails and hors d'oeuvres while the band played instrumental background music as guests mingled and visited and then later the band got the party rockin' for the rest of the night with great dance music. I feel it is important to mention how much I value and appreciate the level of professionalism I experienced throughout the entire process. From the very first contact to book the band, prompt replies to all communications prior to the event, punctuality on the day of, appropriate dress and appearance of the band members, as well as their fun personalities and obvious enthusiasm and love of what they do, all made the whole experience stress-free, positive, and memorable. I give my highest recommendation for the Blue Wave Band to perform for anyone wanting to have first-class, live music performed at their event.

Blue Wave totally rocks!

We couldn't recommend Blue Wave more highly - they made our wedding reception a total dancefest. We attended three showcases and saw a number of band members rotate through different songs - definitely recommend this to get voices to suit the musical style you want. The showcases were good but a bit low energy - but they absolutely blew us away the day-of. Huge range of songs and they kept people going all night. Thanks so much!

Best vendor of the wedding

Blue Wave was hands down, the best vendor from our wedding. They were easy to work with ahead of time- clear and communicative with an event planning page so you can easily update any changes. Closer to the wedding, they helped sort out all details with the venue and made sure we had exactly what we needed. On wedding day the entire band was incredible! Everyone was very talented and they had the perfect set list. We were unfortunately having a lot of problems with our caterer at the reception but Blue Wave Band was so fun that we forgot all about it. We last minute splurged and added two more band members (sax and trombone) and were so glad we did. Our guests couldn't stop talking about the band and people were on the dance floor all night. Blue Wave was worth every penny and we would absolutely recommend them!

Beyond our Expectations!

Blue Wave assembled an amazing group of musicians for our outdoor fall wedding in Hood River. The vocalists were superb - Horn, keyboard, guitar, & drummer all outstanding... They were well beyond a typical wedding cover band! (Per our initial requests, we even got some jam sessions & solos throughout the evening - which did not disappoint!)

The band performed flawlessly throughout our dinner, (never too loud but always just right), and then took it to another level during the dance reception afterward. (Want to add one special shout-out to the vocalist Michel Angela - who sang a rendition of Nora Jone's "Don't Know Why" during dinner that was so perfectly performed & left us in awe :)

The playlist was spot-on, pacing exactly right, and execution at the highest level. The band members also showed up looking great as well! Prior to the event, we really enjoyed working with Marc, who patiently answered all our questions - promptly & thoroughly. We certainly “Won’t stop believin” anytime soon...

Best Band in Portland - period.

Blue Wave Band were amazing from start to finish. We saw them at one of the monthly showcases they put on and they just blew us away. Marc was amazing to work with and he was really friendly and helpful, and detailed in his responses. He was also very responsive to our questions during the process. The two singers that we got, Josh and Michal were amazing and blew everyone away! Especially Josh with his rendition of Baker Street! The band as a whole was amazing, and every musician in the band are top notch musicians. We would definitely hire Blue Wave Band for ANY events that we may have in the future.

Awesome wedding band with great energy!

Had a really excellent experience with Blue Wave Band - the communication leading up to the wedding was super helpful, they were detail oriented, but also able to take the lead where needed - very professional and easy/fun to work with. A Perfect Experience

I sang in college and high school so have a fairly high standard for music. That being said, the band was absolutely tremendous. Everyone at our wedding was very impressed with how talented and fun the live band was (6 piece band). The band members were all incredibly nice and congratulatory on the day of the wedding, and the band manager David was so helpful, organized, professional, and patient in the organization leading up to the wedding. They were one of the many highlights from a perfect day - I would not have changed a thing.

Hire these guys!!! My mother and brother scouted Blue Wave Band for us, and after they saw them live begged us to pick them for our reception. We couldn’t have made a better choice. Our dance floor was packed during every one of their sets. Many, many guests came up to us raving about the band and asking to know how we had found them. My cousin has worked over 200 weddings and said they were hands down the best wedding band he had EVER heard. Blue Wave was also great to work with ahead of time - Marc, their producer, was quick to respond by email to all of our questions, provided us with a detailed event page to collect all of our information, and had a thorough call with us the week beforehand to make sure everyone was on the same page. We would strongly suggest hiring them - they are worth every penny!

Choose this band!

The blue wave band was absolutely wonderful! The music was awesome and our guests really enjoyed listening to them play! They take the time beforehand to get to know your musical taste so they play songs you enjoy at the wedding! They were all very friendly and talented! If you want your reception to be poppin I would choose this band!

Outstanding band!

Blue Wave Band absolutely made our wedding reception!! And we had it in the most unbelievable spot, gorgeous view, day of weather, great food, etc. .
Blue Wave is truly exceptional at bringing the life to the party!! We hired them for our wedding (92 guests size) and a 7 piece band, after seeing them play at a friend's wedding in Portland the summer before (10 or 12 pc band). The band did not disappoint! If you have any doubts attend one of their monthly open houses. Good luck not feeling the good music vibes :)

Exceptional Talent

Blue Wave Band elevated our reception from nice to exceptional. Our guests continue to say how much fun they had dancing thanks to the amazing talent of this band. We sent a list of our favorite songs and they played exactly the style we love. They were professional, fun, and kind, and turned the evening into such a party! From young children to my parent's friends- no one needed to be asked to dance- people couldn't help themselves! (This is just what we wanted.) Thank you so much to David for coordinating this for us and to the entire band- you are so talented and you helped made our evening so special!

Blue Wave Band is so fun and GREAT to work with!

Blue Wave Band performed at a corporate holiday event for Amazon for a group of about 250. They were phenomenal to work with, extremely friendly, and one of the most talented live bands I've seen. If you are looking for a band for your wedding or party, I cannot recommend them enough!

Amazing Band, Killed it!

We used blue wave for our wedding on Orcas Island in August. They were amazing. We used them to mic the ceremony, for cocktail hour with an acoustic set, and then of course for the reception dancing. I submitted a playlist to them and they played most of the songs, and played them very well! In between sets they played recorded music and they MC’d the whole night. For the dances (first dance, mother-groom, father-bride) they did suggest a recorded song and we agreed because we wanted the originals, but they are happy to play any of the dances if you want. This band is originally based out of Seattle, Portland, and Vancouver I believe. They have live performances locally where you can go check them out and even request specific performers. If they are traveling out of town to your wedding be prepared to provide their lodging – and they may be picky about where they stay which can run up the price. Their performances were seriously amazing, and despite the fact that it was kind of hot towards the end of the night in our reception hall, everyone was occupying the dance floor and cutting up a rug. They even came out for an encoure. The musicians are seriously talented and can play anything. Thanks Blue wave!

Great music, lots of options

We went with Blue Wave because they have a number of different ways to "customize" the band for your wedding. An acoustic guitarist played for the ceremony, and we had a four-piece for the reception. Blue Wave was responsive and easy to work with. Having live music at the wedding was fantastic! Highly recommend.

Blue Wave Band kept the dance floor packed!

Trent was super fast responding to emails which made us feel well taken care of, and we were able to go to a showcase to see the caliber of musicians. The band portal page was easy to use, and having a pre-wedding phone call to nail down all of the details was great.

The band was awesome! They were so talented, and the dance floor was packed for the entire reception. We especially liked that they paid close attention to our song preferences. They basically played everything on our list.

The band really went above and beyond. They lent us a guitar for a friend to play during our ceremony, they asked if they could play through a scheduled break to keep the dance party going, and they played an extra song after 10pm when our guests chanted for "one more song"!

We've been recommending them to everyone we know!

We had an AMAZING experience with Blue Wave Band. We came across them on this very website and based on the reviews...we booked them immieidately! Boy are we glad that we did. We booked Blue Wave after my MIL went to hear them play live. We were planning our Portland wedding while living in another state. I'm a control freak, so as the day got closer, I became increasingly nervous that I had never heard the band play live. They were AMAZING! They kept people on the dance floor all night long. We received so many compliments on them, everyone had a blast. You can't go wrong! I couldn't be happier with our choice. They may seem a little pricey, but you absolutely get what you pay for. Book them, you won't regret it!

If you are reading this review and contemplating whether or not to have a band at your wedding and if it's worth the cost, take my word for it and BOOK THEM. My (now) husband and I were wavering and almost went with a DJ due to the cost of a live band. Luckily we took a moment to revisit our vision and how WE wanted to be represented on our big day. We bit the bullet and booked the Blue Wave Band. Other than marrying my husband, this was the best decision we made when it came to our wedding (hands down). Our guests didn't sit the entire night. A song would end and everyone would turn to get a drink, grab a piece of cake or sit down and the next song would come on and you couldn't not stay and dance. Moreover, I talked with the band manager a few times leading up to the wedding. I told him what my first dance song was and to play music people loved to dance to. That was it. By far the easier planning/prep when it came to my wedding. After our wedding, every person we talked to, first and foremost, commented on the band (before the food, venue, my dress, the weather, etc.).

If you can afford them, book them. If you can't, cut corners somewhere else and book them.

The best of the best! If you are looking for a great band for your wedding, this is it. We have worked with Blue Wave Band for multiple weddings as the coordinator and are always impressed. They can get anyone out on the dance floor - parents, grandparents, everyone - and will keep the festivities going. They are professional, well organized and great to work with!

Trent was so wonderful to work with- he let me choose who I wanted to be the lead singer, and he put together a perfectly complimentary band that everyone was just raving about! We all had so much fun, and I would absolutely recommend Blue Wave!
They were an eclectic mix- and people just loved them. They played good songs, and they're not the typical country club rotation bands that you always hear at events in Portland. People kept coming up to us, and complimenting the band and their song choices. Trent went above and beyond to make sure they knew the songs I wanted for the special moments, and they hit it out of the park through the night.

An incredible experience from the day we selected them to the night they performed at our daughter's wedding in Mt Hood, Oregon. Very professional, extremely organized from the contract to the very unique band planning page - nothing was left to chance. We received plenty of advice and were given lots of flexibility (the groom's friend played for all 3 first dances using the band's sound equipment). The MC kept the night flowing and the music kept our guests dancing until the last note. If we lived on the west coast, we wouldn't hesitate to use them again. There isn't a music genre that they cannot play and they can provide up to 12 musicians if needed. Their talent is only surpassed by their ability to take care of the whole process - we never had any questions, because everything was presented from the beginning - timeline, contact info, schedule of songs...if it pertained to a wedding, they had it covered. I did all the research, so you don't have to - book Blue Wave Band and enjoy your wedding without a worry!

Blue Wave Band is comprised of a group of very talented and professional musicians. They turned in a polished performance at our wedding that simply CRUSHED. The playlist was ambitious, covering songs across decades and genres of music. The musicianship and vocal performances were stunning throughout. We received comments from many people who attended the event that the band elevated what already was a great wedding, and took it over the top.

The band's managing member, David Dawda, was wonderful to work with. He listened carefully to requests, stayed on top of details, and delivered exactly what was promised. This is a very talented group of professionals, and they all are well deserving of our unqualified and enthusiastic endorsement and recommendation.

They were amazing!! We searched online for a band for our wedding and came across the Blue Wave Band. We were impressed from the get go. They had a great website, were very responsive to our emails and questions, they invite people to come in and watch them before and after booking so you can hear them live first and they are incredibly easy to work with. We decided to have a piano player for the wedding ceremony, a trio for cocktail hour and the 8 piece band for the reception as well as having them MC. I can't express enough how wonderful they were and so talented. Each one of our guests raved about not only the music choices, but the quality. They are absolutely worth every penny!!!

The band was phenomenal. Their pre-wedding prep was minimal (I was in charge of all band stuff for my wedding, so I was the only person working with them) but sufficient, their forms for making the music and night perfect were handy and easy to fill out, their day-of needs were really easy and quick, and then their energy throughout the night was really perfect, and made our event that much better. I really don't have anything but glowingly positive things to say about the band, from booking to prep to performance, it was far less stress and far more reward than I was expecting.

Blue Wave Band played our wedding reception and were absolutely terrific. They are a talented group of musicians that were able to read the room and keep the room dancing all night long. People were cheering for an encore when the venue shut the wedding down. We requested a mix of funk, jazz, folk, swing and some pop...and they nailed it all. Beyond being great musicians, they were easy to work with, professional, timely and communicative. Highly recommended!!

An absolutely incredible band and must have at your wedding! First and foremost, they are incredible musicians! They are truly talented. Even better, they were able to read the crowd and keep the energy and mood just right all night. Our guests were literally chanting "one more song!" at the end of the evening, dancing the night away gleefully. Everyone in the band was professional, easy to work with, adaptable to our tastes, flexible and timely (and did I mention talented?!). All of my friends are still talking about how great they were. We had a phenomenal time with the Blue Wave Band for our reception! We love that they have so many different instrument combinations! For us, trumpet was key and we ended up with a six piece band. The web portal they have is great! It allowed us to add in timelines, locations, and genres to play (and not play!), all of which made for an easy experience the day of. We received so many compliments on the range and quality of the band, and we loved every minute of it! We knew from the beginning of wedding planning that we wanted a live band, and we couldn't be happier with our choice! Thanks!!

These guys were awesome! We got so many compliments from our guests that they were the best band they'd ever heard! The dance party was epic and the booking process was very easy start to finish. I'd thoroughly recommend them for any event.

Kevin and The Blue Wave band are amazing!!!! We hired them for our wedding after seeing one of their demo shows in Seattle last spring. The whole experience of working with them, from the pre wedding phone call meetings, to the their website to collect wedding details, and the actual day of performance were superlative. Kevin is extremely professional and responsive, even to overzealous brides :) The lead singers, Andrew & Kelly, made our wedding on the day!!! Kelly in particular, was so sweet and fun, all of the guests loved singing along with her! I would highly recommend them for any event!

It was wonderful to be able to see them play at their showcase in downtown Seattle prior to booking them so we could get a sense of their style and which artists could play/sing what.
