Sweet and amazing

It was an extraordinary celebration, leaving us and our guests in awe. Marvin truly exceeded our expectations with their creative vision and attention to detail. Throughout the day, Marvin and their team brought a sense of joy and fun to our photo session, making us feel comfortable and relaxed in front of the camera.

One aspect that pleasantly surprised us was their ability to capture candid moments effortlessly, adding a touch of authenticity to our wedding album. Despite a minor delay in receiving the final edited photos, the quality of the images was well worth the wait.

Moreover, their flexibility and communication skills stood out as they accommodated last-minute changes with professionalism and grace. They made sure to understand our vision and preferences, resulting in a collection of photos that truly reflected our personalities and the essence of our special day.

While there were a few logistical challenges on the day of the shoot, such as dealing with unexpected weather conditions, Marvin and their team remained composed and adapted quickly to ensure that we still got beautiful shots. Overall, we are grateful for the wonderful memories captured by Marvin Blue Photography and would highly recommend their services to future couples looking for a talented and dedicated photographer for their wedding day.

Very friendly and thorough!

Marvin was very friendly and extremely dedicated to getting every shot possible. He communicated well throughout the day and made sure everyone was comfortable throughout the process. Weddings are stressful and you don’t want to worry about your photographer not getting enough pictures! Marvin would show us photos as we went along and that made us feel good seeing how they were turning out. Would highly recommend (from a type-A bride)

Simply the Best!

Marvin and his team are THE BEST! Super professional, very flexible, great senses of humor, and AMAZING end product. I wish I would have contracted them before my photographer. Marvin and his team SAVED my sanity. The Saturday before my wedding my photographer asked me what hours of my wedding I didn't want photographed and she tried to rearrange my day so she got the shots she wanted for her portfolio. So I texted Marvin and he was able get me a photographer for my first look and the day went as planned. LADIES his my 1st look pictures are so much better in quality than my "main" photographer. Weddings are expensive and you can't redo the day so make sure have a team working for you and Marvin and his team are a right team. I will be using them again in the future for other projects.

Our experience with Marvin Blue photography and film; was very professional, personable, punctual and responsive. We hired Marvin and his team to capture our wedding on video and received much more than expected. During the entire process Marvin was available to answer our questions and help with anything we needed. Their team was so helpful throughout our wedding day, making us feel a 100% comfortable/relaxed as well as keeping us smiling and laughing non-stop! The quality of their service was above expectation and the value was perfect! We would definitely book them again! We would even pay double for the level of service we received from them!

Simply Amazing!!

When my Husband and I were looking for a photography company to record our wedding day, it was nothing but a challenge. Trying to find photographers that did video or trying to find the right pricing for the right services. However, after searching high and low we found Marvin Blue Photography . Marvin is very hands on.

Not only was he responsive, patient, understanding, and flexible, he really listened and kept us at ease. He was amazing and he worked with us during a quarantine wedding (COVID Wedding in Style). Marvin even found my missing earring before I went out to the ceremony (I didn't have to sacrifice my something old)! The other positive was his professionalism during this pandemic, Marvin and his team both wore masks and maintain the proper safety measures while at the wedding without sacrificing the shots and was able to reschedule our wedding day twice at the last minute! If I had to choose my favorite wedding vendor it would 100% be Marvin Blue Photography and I would use them again without question!

Saved the Day

Marvin's photography was absolutely beautiful. The whole experience with Marvin was excellent. Top Notch Photographer

He was so professional and kind during the whole process from engagement photos to the wedding day. He had the best sense of humor the whole time and is one of the few people that was able to get my husband to relax and have fun while any photos were taken. Nothing but outstanding

Marvin is not only a fantastic photographer, but now a lifelong friend. His dedication to capturing the most important moments of our lives is never to be overlooked as he goes above and beyond in every way. We have had Marvin shoot 3 “smaller” shoots, and then our wedding, and each and every time, he works diligently, gets our photos back to us in a seriously quick amount of time, and keeps us informed every step of the way. He is a GREAT communicator, and has NEVER let me go longer than 340 minutes without a response or acknowledgement. Marvin was hired by my family to shoot video at my wedding on January 5th 2020. He went above and beyond in every aspect. He was kind, funny, passionate, knowledgeable, and an all around great person to have videoing the most important day of your life. His attention to detail and love for what he does truly shines through. We received our video back within 3 weeks of the wedding and it captured the day so perfectly, I could not have imagined anything better. Highly Skilled

Marvin was amazing! He was very creative with his shots and very on top of everything the entire night, which was so nice to have when you're in the midst of everything! He was great interacting with guests and stayed until the very end of the night, right up on the dance floor getting all the best pictures! He's also not afraid to climb down creek banks and get down on the ground for some awesome shots. We loved working with him and highly recommend him to everyone!

Authentic and Warm

When choosing your wedding photographer, I encourage you to consider your desired style. The reason I make this seemingly obvious suggestion is because there are a lot of people who can take a nice picture, but everyone has a different photography style. Marvin is the definition of my desired photography style. I would describe his photos as warm, authentic, romantic. He truly cares deeply about capturing the emotion between people, and I appreciate that we were able to focus a lot of time photographing my husband and I. You can have complete confidence in Marvin to manage your time schedule well, and know that he is not going to miss a thing. Amazing and Fun

I had an AMAZING experience using Marvin as my engagement picture photographer and wedding photographer. His style is so romantic and beautiful and I am obsessed with it. I had friends and family tell me that the photographs looked like they could be in a magazine because he captured such unique pictures in such an artistic way. Even more, Marvin is an extremely sweet person and always made me feel comfortable, which isn't always easy to do when you're posing for photographs. Passionate Artist

We had a wonderful experience working with Marvin. We knew from our very first meeting with him that we wanted to book him. He obviously loves doing this and it shows in his personality. His pricing was very affordable for us, and it was great to have a package that included a free engagement photo shoot and that didn't require us to spend money on albums (a friend recommended that we save money by making our own, but his albums that he offers are gorgeous so we are saving for a big one). Leading up to the wedding, he was always available by phone or email if we had questions. And most importantly, he got some amazing shots of our wedding! We opted to add a second photographer and between the two of them there wasn't a moment missed during the wedding. For instance, there were many times during the reception that someone would take out their phone to snap a blurry dark picture, and one of them would always pop up out of seemingly nowhere to get an obviously much better higher-quality photo of the same. We were also happy with the turn-around time for the photos. We couldn't recommend Marvin more highly!

Professional and passionate

From the beginning we hit it off with Marvin. He's personable, funny and we felt very comfortable with him. He also took pictures for a friend's wedding and they said they loved his work, that helped with our decision. From the start, I felt comforted with the attention to detail he took. We went over all the family shots we wanted and told him all the family dynamics, which he worked around very well. The day of the wedding he showed up right on time, early to be honest, which is probably one of the more important things to ease your mind the day of. He was immediately watching and paying attention to my girls, my family and I getting ready in the bridal suite. He took some suggestions I had about pictures I wanted as well which I appreciated. Throughout the night he was everywhere, in all the most important spots and capturing the best moments. He captured the emotion from all my family members and us which was important to me. He took wonderful shots of us and gave us some direction which was helpful because we don't get photographed a lot. He stayed longer than he was supposed to to catch the whole reception beginning to end. When we got our pictures, we were even happier than we could have imagined. They were all beautiful and like I said, captured the most important, emotion filled parts of the day. I would recommend Marvin to anyone I know.

So Accomodating

My husband and I chose to have Marvin photograph our wedding for several reasons, and I have to say, it was one of the best choices we made with regards to our wedding. He is wonderful, kind and really help to not only capture the moments, but to make sure your day runs smoothly. Marvin is very thorough in making sure he knows ahead of time what the bride and groom would like to have captured, and he is fantastic at bringing those shots to life. His team go above and beyond to create the perfect (while still authentic) photos, both posed and candid. They made my entire bridal party/family feel right at home in front of the camera, and you can tell they really love doing what they are doing. The finished photos I have seen are beautiful; I am so thrilled, and very excited to book him again! Marvin offer a fantastic wedding package--one of their key highlights for me was that they stay with you for 8 hours. They showed up to my photo sites early to scope the areas out, and they continually set up the perfect shots throughout the entire evening. I would recommend them to anyone without hesitation--they are wonderful, and their photos are gorgeous.

Amazing and Timeless

My wife & I discovered Marvin Blue Photography after asking friends for recommendations and we were not disappointed!! We had a phenomenal experience with both Marvin and team from the initial inquiry going back and forth via email, engagement session, wedding prep, wedding day/night and post-wedding! They're not only amazing photographers but they're also wonderful human beings. They made us feel super comfortable and confident throughout the whole process (including in front of the camera!). We absolutely love all of the pictures from the engagement session and wedding. Honestly, the hardest part is narrowing down pictures to print and frame! We've also received many compliments from the family & friends that have seen the pictures. A quote from my wife's email response to the wedding pics: "Wow. I'm floored with the pictures. Very Talented

Where do I even start? Marvin was phenomenal to work with!! My husband and I really are not photogenic, but Marvin and his team made us feel so comfortable. The whole day we laughed and had genuine smiles on our faces! There was never a stressful moment of being overwhelmed with photos. Marvin photographed “the moments” of the day instead of just posed shots. I loved this. Every time I look through my album, it is like reliving my wedding day all over again. We got our photos back 3 weeks after our wedding and it was PERFECT!! We were so excited to show all of our friends and family. The pictures were beautiful. I am still obsessed months later. HIGHLY recommend!! If you are considering him for a wedding, book him!! I promise you won’t be anything but happy about your decision.

I met Marvin at my best friend's wedding as he did their engagement pictures and wedding pictures and fell in love his work! My now fiance and I were talking about getting pictures done and he was the first and only person that came to mind. Marvin is fun and easy to work with and kept our interest at heart. The photos turned out amazing and he was even in on the surprise engagement that happened to me during those pictures. Marvin is fantastic. Looking for a photographer was hard and took a long time. We met with a few and we were not satisfied with any of them. I came upon Marvin as he photographed a friend’s wedding and we liked the photos. Marvin is easy to work with, affordable, and provides high quality photographs that really capture the emotion. My husband and I used Blue Scope Photography for our November wedding in Dallas and he was wonderful! He was really easy to work with during the planning and always responded quickly to emails and phone calls.

He got all the shots we wanted on our wedding day without being overbearing or obtrusive and was really easy to work with. My husband and I don't like having our picture taken very much and weren't eager to take too many photos. Marvin was conscious of that and worked quickly with us to make sure we got lots of beautiful shots without having to stand around for too long.

All the pictures turned out beautifully! We could not be happier with our decision to work with Marvin.

We met up with him the following week and it was all over! He was the one and only photographer we spoke to, and hired him right away back in September 2016. We felt so comfortable with him. We had the "typical" shots but he also knew how to capture our unique style as well and get those "fun" photos in. As an additional service, we had Marvin prepare some "getting ready" photos to be displayed at our slideshow at dinner and the guests loved it. They said they had never seen it done before! We had another reception a month after the wedding, and Nathan amazingly prepared about 100 photos ready for us to use for that as well. The rest of the photos we got back in a very timely manner. There were NO bad photos!! He has such great attention to detail! The little things... made such an impression on me. You can tell he loves his job, and it shows in his photos. I cannot say enough good things about Marvin... he is talented, professional, creative, fun, and easy to talk to and work with! He was worth every penny. Your wedding only happens once... your photos will last a lifetime, Blue Scope Photography should be the one to capture it all. You will not regret hiring him!

When it comes to vendors, they all play an important part. The most important, though, are the photographs, as they are the ones that last for years to come. I was picky when it came to photography style and quality, and I wasn't going to skimp on the photographer. I know someone who had someone grant her a "favor" and to this day, her wedding photos are still a source of contention between her and her husband. I decided to meet up with Marvin after I read his Weddingwire reviews and had some professional photographer friends and family members evaluate his work. Once I got the nod of approval, I went to meet with him. Marvin was genuinely friendly, energetic, and helpful in tailoring his packages to suit my needs. On the day of the wedding, the other members of my wedding team had nothing but good things to say about Marvin and the second photographer, Christy. They worked flawlessly together and with my videographers and coordinators. I couldn't have asked for a better outcome. Marvin was always exceptional in his communication in both reasonable response time and quality of response. If you like his photography style (check out his portfolio), I wouldn't hesitate to ask for a consultation. Should I ever need a professional photographer again, I know who I'm going to.

Marvin is an amazing photographer in every way - he's creative, talented, professional, responsive, responsible, friendly, and funny. Really, I can't ask for anything more. Marvin did our engagement photo session in March 2017 and our wedding photos in July 2017. When I started this whole wedding planning thing, one piece of advice I received early on was - make sure you hire a photographer that you feel comfortable with, because he's going to be everywhere you are on your wedding day, and if you don't like this person around all the time then it'll show in your photos! So we looked at 6-7 different photographers and narrowed down to 2 finalists - Marvin and someone else. We ended up going with Marvin because from the second we met him, we already felt so comfortable with him like we've known each other for a long time. Marvin was always SUPER responsive to emails - I'm talking a response within an hour most of the time. And my goodness, he's just so talented. He's definitely an artist. When we got our engagement photos back we were more than pleased with the result. And when got our wedding photos back, MY GOD they are amazing. We love every single photo he took, and the way he tells a story with his photos... it's pure genius. I know he's always challenging himself too to get better, which I appreciate because I wouldn't want to hire someone who is complacent. I'd definitely say Marvin has more of a dramatic and documentary style and not so much the boring posed photography. That's why he's able to capture some awesome shots because he's kinda just always there to make sure all the memorable moments are recorded. My husband and I often call him a ninja because on our wedding day, we honestly didn't know where Marvin was half the time because he wasn't in our face trying to take photos. And yet when the photos came back, they proved that he was everywhere we were!! Anyway. If you're looking to hire a photographer, definitely go with Marvin.

I can't say enough nice things about marvin. He is a consummate professional and a skilled photographer. He photographed my wedding in September 2016 and shot our engagement photos as well. Marvin responds to you almost instantly if you have an inquiry, and has a creative eye for photography. I merely had to give him some basic guidelines for what I was looking for, and he took care of the rest. Of all the things I stressed about while planning my wedding, the photos definitely weren't one of them! We had such a great experience using Marvin as our photographer! He was professional, timely, and really took the time to find out how to make my partner and I happy.
His creativity and playfulness with his images is what really sold us on his work. He is a great value, and gives 100% to his work and his clients.
The photographs he delivered to us at the end were breathtaking! We chose a package where we received a book and a large canvas print, which we were very happy with in the end. The extra small fee for this option was definitely worth every penny!!

His photography has a natural, soulful quality that looks real in the moment, human and not like fake posed photography that I did not want.

I was so thrilled with Blue Scope Photography's professionalism and flexibility! I am a school teacher, so my life can get pretty busy within seconds. We worked with Marvin and he was accommodating to all of my needs and changes, and he made myself and our wedding party feel very comfortable you can tell he knew what he was doing and this was not his first rodeo. I don't know where to start!! Marvin is absolutely the best. He was a referral from one of my really good friends who had him photograph her engagement/ wedding. Marvin is even doing my sisters wedding in January! I have done engagement, boudoir, and wedding photos with him and they are absolutely amazing. We spoke with several photographers before deciding to go with Marvin Blue and Blue Scope Photography, and I am so glad we did! Marvin was a true professional from our first meeting. He always asked for our input on what we wanted but was more than willing to give his opinion, for which I was grateful, his knowledge and expertise was beneficial. My husband and I were both nervous about pictures, mostly because neither of us likes being the center of attention! However, after speaking and emailing with Marvin, I knew we were in good hands. When most girls plan their dream wedding they go to pinterest and create boards for their ideas for their big day. Well I can honestly say that Marvin made me delete my pinterest after he photographed my wedding because my dream wedding came to life and I have the pictures to prove it thanks to Blue Scope Photography. Marvin was truly wonderful from the beginning to the end. He kept me form losing my head during the wedding when things went wrong and reassured me every step of the way. My pictures still make me feel so beautiful and I love my album. Marvin is a true artist, he took the time to ensure the quality of everything we wanted exceeded out expectation. The best part was when we returned from our honeymoon he informed us that he was done editing our wedding, he asked for 8 weeks and was complete in a little over 2 weeks. My husband still was amazed that even though Marvin met his contract obligation for 8 hours of coverage he stayed past the time and said "Just get me some chipotle and we will call it even." That showed us that he had a generous heart and wasn't trying to get every penny out of us. His staff at Blue Scope Photography was just as amazing and they complimented Marvin so well. Blue Scope Photography has become apart of our family and all of our future photography needs.

Marvin did an incredible job on our wedding photos! We also enjoyed hanging out with him throughout the day. He truly added so much to our entire experience. Great photographer, great prices. Marvin provided top quality work. He went above and beyond to make sure our wedding was captured perfectly. I just viewed my previews and I am excited to see the rest. He was very flexible with the schedule because we started late and even offered to shoot the wedding portrait again when the wedding planner cut our time by half. He was still able to hustle and put together a great portrait considering the time restraints that was given to him. We had a small ceremony at our church and we chose Blue Scope Photography. Marvin did a stellar job, even though our ceremony was small Marvin captured it as if it were big. Okay so my sister Tina just got married and the guy that was suppose to take the picture totally bails because it was 4th of July and Dani the Mad of Honor suggest Marvin Blue of Blue Scope Photography. This guy is amazing. Not only did he take the wedding with just a few days notice, he pulled off a miracle. He was so sweet and nice, he made us all feel good on the day of the wedding and was a constant professional. He made that wedding so stress free for my sister and I know she appreciates it. His picture were top notch, our entire family is in tears from the images. My favorite one s the picture of me and my sister slow dancing with our dad like we used to do when we were kids. I know he appreciated that picture so much because he talked about how he never had a picture of that memory and now he does and it is so beautiful. Marvin is an angel. He made us a promise when we booked him. He said that if we are not blown away by his work he would give us our money back. I held him to his word. When we did our show today he set up the desk with everything we wanted and as we looked at all the work and effort he put into our wedding I was brought to tears, because I could not have imagined how beautiful our wedding was until I saw the pictures. They took my breath away. When he gave me the check for what we spent on our wedding and said remember the promise I made I immediately ripped it and the only money spent will be the money we spend on getting more prints and canvas because the pictures were beyond amazing. I love love love my album and pictures. Marvin took the time and care to create something beautiful for us. He truly cared about my wedding and was so helpful during the entire process from when we met him at Applebees and he offered to do an engagement session for free. He said if you don't like what I do then you can keep the pictures and not hire me. Our engagement pictures were so gorgeous and we immediately booked him for our wedding. That was a great decision because he was so supportive leading up to the wedding. He would call and see how we were doing as we were planning everything, he even helped with choosing a florist for my bouquet and she gave us a discount because of Marvin. So he saved us some money as well. When we met for our first meeting he said to me that booking him would be one of the easiest things we do our entire wedding and I have to admit that he was 100% correct.

Prompt to arrive at the wedding, then the photographers were arguing with each other. Some rude comments made to a few of the attendants. During the wedding ceremony literally ran back and forth in the front of parents to the point of distraction and it completely ruined the video.
12 weeks to see the pictures after many times being told they would be ready the next week, next week, and so on. 5 months to get the digital photos delivered, they are okay.
