My one recommendation for a future bride is to without a doubt work with Blue Dahlia. Kate and her team are truly amazing and all of my vendors were so happy I was working with them. The entire team goes above and beyond to alleviate all the wedding planning stress. The team is extremely communicative and proactive which makes you feel so calm about all aspects of the wedding. Kate and her team truly feels like a group of super heros that can do it all - from seamless coordination leading up to the wedding, to helping your emotional Dad put on his tux buttons, and making sure everyone had a smile on their face throughout it all. It’s been 2 weeks since the wedding and I truly miss working and chatting with Kate and her team. It’s a wonderful group of human beings and wish I could do it all over again! -

Every phase of the planning process was easy and fun thanks to the team at Blue Dahlia. From day one, Kate and her team went above and beyond to ensure that every detail of our wedding celebration was considered, making helpful suggestions and connections along the way. All correspondence was prompt and friendly. Their willingness to share ideas and advice to make sure that we had the most enjoyable and efficient day possible was so helpful. My stress was alleviated knowing that Blue Dahlia was crafting a timeline for the day, confirming all of our vendors, and ensuring that they had all of the necessary information for the event. This truly took so much stress off of my plate in the days and weeks leading up to our wedding. It allowed me to fully enjoy the experience, knowing that Blue Dahlia would take care of all the little details. I highly recommend Blue Dahlia for wedding coordination services! They truly went above and beyond to ensure that we had the wedding of our dreams. -

Blue Dahlia is everything and more for wedding planning!
Kate and her assistant were absolutely fantastic. They felt immediately like an extension of our family when met in our first meeting and we slept easier knowing we had her support and eyes on final details. We really felt she went above and beyond what was asked for and we are so grateful to her for that. We truly enjoyed our experience with Blue Dahlia and wish we had events we regularly could plan with her. We couldn’t recommend anyone better to trust and coordinate a wedding! We love Kate and team! -

Kate, Erica and Geri were SO wonderful to work with! We are both (bride and groom) bordering on being control freaks, and were very proud of all of the work we put into planning the perfect wedding, but were so pleasantly surprised at how much additional detail the Blue Dahlia team made us think through during our wedding prep in the final 2 weeks, along with just being so helpful with our vendors behind the scenes on our wedding day. We would recommend them to anyone! -

I spent a lot of time looking for a planner for our wedding. A good friend referred me to one, however they would not do a six
week out plan because they said our venue was too complicated to not work from the very beginning. This led me to keep looking
and I found Blue Dahlia. From our first details meeting I knew I was in good hands. We worked with Melissa who we cannot
compliment enough. She is dedicated, detailed, organized, supportive, everything you want from a wedding planner. I felt like I
was her only bride! My husband and I know our day wouldn't have come close to what it was without Melissa and the Blue
Dahlia Team. We are giving them 100 stars and highly recommend them to any couple looking for help planning their wedding. I
promise, you will not be disappointed! -

As soon as we had our first meeting with Blue Dahlia we felt relieved and more relaxed leading up to our wedding. We opted for the 6 week package for that very reason and we do not regret it! We knew we were in great hands and could finally stop stressing and start feeling excited about our wedding. Kate & Jenna were so on top of everything and asked us all the right questions, including stuff we had never thought about before. Kate & Jenna are not only experienced and super-capable, but also fun and relaxed which helped us feel like any little issue that came up was no big deal, easy to work around, etc. I always tell people it's a huge success when you think your wedding day goes perfectly (which we did!) because it means your coordination team (Jenna & Sarah) navigated any hiccup without pulling you into it. Cannot recommend BDE enough! -

Kate from Blue Dahlia was phenomenal to work with. She is SO organized and on top of it, and knows exactly what needs to be done leading up to a wedding. As someone with zero experience planning a wedding, I truly don't know what I would have done without her in the 2-months leading up to the big day! There are SO many little details to keep track of, last minute changes, etc. and Kate handled everything perfectly. It was such a life saver having her there on the actual wedding day as well - she kept everything on schedule and worked with all our vendors so that my husband and I could just enjoy the day. I am so SO thankful we decided to bring Kate on as our planner and would highly recommend her to anyone! -

Both my husband and I agree that deciding to use Blue Dahlia was the best decision we made (other than deciding to marry each
other!) during the wedding process. Kate was a dream; down-to-earth, friendly, professional, easy to talk to, decisive, responsive,
and extremely helpful. She seemed to always be there when you needed her and acted quickly when things started to go sideways.
For example:
- The day of our wedding a huge storm unexpectedly appeared. Kate and her colleague Sarah constantly monitored the situation and helped us make the
game time decision to move the ceremony from the garden to the tented reception area. She somehow arranged chairs to make the
space feel more "like a ceremony" in a small space in record time.
- During the ceremony the wind literally picked the tent up off the ground and Kate GRABBED THE TENT POLES and held
them, in the rain, for the remainder of the ceremony. I mean, c'mon...that is true dedication and we can't thank her enough.
- Anytime we needed Kate or Sarah they was there, quickly moving things along and solving problems (for example, bringing ginger ale for
upset stomachs, providing hair ties for a sweaty dance floor). She was everywhere and always helpful.
- Throughout the process Kate was incredibly responsive. She gave us her personal cell phone and texted back immediately
whenever contacted.
- Kate was friendly and positive, but also decisive & direct. She gave honest advice that was incredibly helpful, such as: how and
when to tip vendors, recommended layouts for the ceremony, order of reception events, and many other big and tiny details.
Finally, we would just like to say that we could not have pulled off this wedding without Blue Dahlia. Despite the fact that both of us are
organized planners, there is no way we could have remembered all the critical details and kept things moving smoothly without
her. And our wedding day experience would have been much more chaotic, and far less romantic had we tried. In short, we
cannot recommend Blue Dahlia enough! -

My husband and I are still talking about how thankful we are we decided to book blue dahlia events. We really were reluctant to even go with a coordinator in the beginning. But with me having anxiety, we decided it would just help and hopefully be worth it. Boy, was that an understatement. We could not have pulled our day off without blue dahlia. If you’re having hesitations about booking, DONT! We booked the “2 week out” coordination where I basically handed everything over to Kate who mapped everything out perfectly. She coordinated with the vendors that I was having trouble reaching. She was extremely easy to communicate with and willing to go the extra mile. She assigned me a “day of” coordinator named Katie. And I thought, cool! That will be nice to have some one there the day of to help out. Another understatement. Katie ran the day and all of the behind the scene stuff like a SCIENCE. She was ALWAYS one step ahead of me. When I would come up with a worry, before I could even finish my sentence, she would reassure me she had already taken care of it. It was honestly incredible. I have 0 problems the day of my wedding, because whatever problem there probably was, Katie smoothed it over. On top of that she was always close by making sure Garrett and I had a drink at the reception. We still are talking about how thankful we are that we had Katie the day of our wedding. I can’t say enough. If you’re hesitating, don’t. You won’t regret booking with blue dahlia events - they will make your wedding the most carefree day - the way it’s supposed to be! -

I would HIGHLY recommend using Blue Dahlia as your wedding planner. They will allow you to enjoy your wedding day without having to worry about a thing. The day goes by so fast, and they took the stress off of me so I could truly enjoy each moment. From running the ceremony to little details like refilling the batteries to our Polaroid camera, Blue Dahlia was on top of it all. Any time I needed anything, they were right there to help. Blue Dahlia helped bring the vision I had for my wedding to life, and they made it stress-free. -

Blue Dahlia is amazing. We've worked together as professional wedding coordinators for years so it was a no brainer to hire them for my own wedding. Leading up to the big day, they allowed me to manage the details like I wanted and then seamlessly stepped in when I needed to hand things off. I ended up falling under the weather for part of the wedding and Melissa was the first to step in and take care of me! She and Kelsea keep the reception going while making sure I was comfortable away from the action. I'm so thankful for the way they stepped up and handled every detail throughout the day. If you want kind, selfless, boss-women-in-charge, hire Blue Dahlia! -

My company, JM Entertainment worked with Blue Dahlia on NYE & they were a real treat to work with!
Halfway through our first toast the bride got terribly ill & we had to put a hold on things for almost an hour. Melissa & her crew regularly checked up on me with updates & worked professionally to make sure the night went off without a hitch even with an almost hour delay.
I look forward to working with them in the future!

"I'm a pretty organized person and not a high-maintenance bride, why do a need a wedding coordinator?" I asked myself. A few good friends told me that the actual execution of the wedding day is challenging and suggested I considered a coordinator. THANKFULLY I listened to them, as I can't imagine my rehearsal dinner and wedding day without Blue Dahlia. They are professional, kind, and friendly. They help you make a timeline for your wedding day but aren't militant in forcing you to stay on a minute-by-minute schedule. I chose their "two weeks to go" package, as I had most of my big stuff done; this meant they got heavily involved two weeks out and sent my the most detailed questionnaire I've ever seen about the wedding day. This level of detail was CRUCIAL in the smooth execution of my wedding day. Everything went amazing, in large part to Blue Dahlia's role. Unexpected things -- like the person who learned how to bustle my dress was MIA but Melissa with Blue Dahlia thankfully knew how to bustle a gown; a guest bringing another guest without RSVPing for her -- were handled in stride. I highly recommend Blue Dahlia; and if you're on the fence about getting a wedding coordinator, it was one of the best things we spent money for the wedding.
