Yum, yum, YUM!
Absolutely delicious! Yum yum yum!! Blue Crab creates the best cakes and cupcakes around. We requested a traditionally decorated two-tier wedding cake, and they completely knocked it out of the park — it was beautiful and tasted incredible! The mini cupcakes were a huge hit with our guests. The lemon blueberry flavor is a fan favorite! We couldn’t have been happier with how everything turned out and highly recommend them to anyone looking for amazing wedding desserts. 🍰✨ -

We used Blue Crab Cupcakes for our wedding on May 17, 2025, and we are so happy we did! From the very beginning, they made the process easy and enjoyable. We stopped by their storefront to pick up tasting boxes, which were such a fun way to try different cake and icing combinations at home and decide on our favorites.
We ended up choosing mini cupcakes for our reception, and the team was incredibly helpful in guiding us on how many to order for our guest count and how many flavors to include. We also worked with them on a small cutting cake, and they provided a quote based on our design inspiration and the size we needed.
On our wedding day, they set up a beautiful cupcake display and incorporated our custom cake topper perfectly. The setup looked amazing, but the real standout was the taste. The cupcakes were SO delicious, and our guests couldn’t stop raving about them. The mini size was such a hit and everyone loved being able to try multiple flavors easily.
We were thrilled with both the presentation and the flavor of both our mini cupcakes and our cutting cake. If you're looking for a vendor who delivers both beauty and taste, we definitely recommend Blue Crab Cupcakes! -

Exceptional Service and Delicious Treats!
We had an amazing experience with Blue Crab Cupcakes for our wedding! The mini cupcakes were packed with flavor and were the perfect sweet bites for our guests. The cake was also delicious. They were effortless to work with and set everything up beautifully. We are so grateful for their kindness and flexibility, especially after they offered to come and pick up the rented cake stands the next day due to a major motor vehicle accident hindering our ability to return them before closing. Highly recommend them! -

A Sweet Delight from Blue Crab Cupcakes!
We couldn’t have been happier with our wedding cake from Blue Crab Cupcakes! They created a stunning three-tier cake that was not only beautiful but also delicious. We chose a lemon cake with lemon cream filling and a yellow cake with raspberry preserves, and both flavors were a hit!
The elegance of the cake added the perfect touch to our celebration, and guests couldn’t stop complimenting how beautiful it was. We also served chocolate fudge and snickerdoodle mini cupcakes, which were absolutely divine! Everyone raved about how delicious the desserts were.

Best Wedding Cake Ever
Our wedding cake was so good that everyone was looking for seconds and thirds. We didn't even have any leftover to bring home. We had a beautiful 3 tier chocolate cake with 8 dozen mini cupcakes of assorted flavors. We arranged our wedding cake from Blue Crab Cupcakes and it was hands down one of the most spectacular parts of our wedding. After trying the mini cupcake sampler, we settled on the lemon blueberry flavor with a buttercream frosting. Not only was it beautiful, but everyone was blown away by how delicious it was. Our guests were still talking about it weeks later! The team at Blue Crab Cupcakes was absolutely lovely to work with. We plan to recommend them to everyone we know. We can't say it enough, it was absolutely the most delicious cake (and that feels rare for wedding cakes!) we had ever had. Thank you!!!

They made us a vegan cake as I have several food allergies, and I was told by several people that they couldn't tell it was vegan/it was the best vegan cake they'd ever had. We cannot recommend Blue Crab Cupcakes enough! They made the most delicious cakes for our wedding. We decided to go with a two tier GF cake for us and then a sheet cake to serve our guests. The GF cake had one layer that was vanilla/vanilla and the other was vanilla with a strawberry filling. Our sheet cakes were lemon blueberry and white almond with raspberry filling. Each flavor was absolutely delicious!! We couldn't even tell the tiered cake was gluten free--it was so good! Our guests have been talking nonstop about the cake! Additionally, Blue Crab was super easy to work with and were able to set up the cake table and provide a variety of stand options that matched our decor. I can't say enough good things about Blue Crab Cupcakes! -

Delicious strawberry shortcake

Amazing Cupcakes!
Blue Crab Cupcakes did the cake and cupcakes for our wedding and they were amazing! I can't even count how many of our guests told us they were the best cupcakes they ever had. People who I know don't really eat dessert were going back for seconds. We did an assortment of cupcake flavors and then small red velvet cake to cut (which was my personal favorite, the icing is to die for!). -

We had a two tiered gluten free chocolate wedding cake that was so, so pretty. Classic with little golf leaf details :) we got a bunch of their regular mini cupcakes for the guests and they were a huge hit! Everyone (who could pull themselves away from the dance floor) LOVED them. The next day we brought the few leftover cupcakes to my in-law's brunch and they were gone in mere minutes.

We hired Blue Crab Cupcakes for our wedding on 10/23/21 in Stevensville, MD. We ordered a small cake for us to cut and mini cupcakes for our guests. Blue Crab was so easy to work with and all of their flavors are absolutely AMAZING. We hadn’t even cut the cake yet and had several guests come up to us saying we better get cupcakes soon because they were almost gone. We watched people walk away from the cake table with handfuls of cupcakes saying how delicious they all were! (Luckily, our venue hadn’t put them all out, so there were actually still plenty left for everyone.) The cake they created was exactly what we asked for and so beautiful. We visited several times leading up to the wedding to try out different flavors, as well as other desserts besides cupcakes, and every single thing we’ve tried is amazing! We highly recommend Blue Crab Cupcakes! -

Delicious and beautiful! You will have a tough time deciding which flavors to pick for your cake or cupcakes because they are all that good! From the initial taste testing I knew we had to have Blue Crab dessert at our wedding it was just figuring how much to have to make sure we still got to selfishly take some home! Carrie and her team blew every other bakery we visited out of the water in both taste and presentation and our friends still talk about how good the mini cupcakes were and how many they had when they were there…people who never eat wedding cake tried every flavor and went back for more!
I tell all my friends to get their cakes and cupcakes not just for weddings but for every family event and you should too! Don’t hesitate in choosing Blue Crab they will surpass your expectations!

Carrie and her team were incredibly responsive and accommodating. Our cake and mini cupcakes turned out beautifully and Carrie took special time to make sure we had exactly what we wanted. In the midst of covid Blue Crab Cupcakes offered us an at-home tasting where we could sample all their amazing flavors from a safe distance. The 2-tier strawberry cake was delicious and the cupcakes were a hit! Delivery and set-up on the day of the wedding were seamless and they have tons of displays to choose from. We got a 3-tier cannoli cake from Blue Crab & it was phenomenal! As a bride who taste-tested & visited about 5-6 bakeries in the area to decide on cake, I can tell you GO WITH BLUE CRAB! They are so responsive & were accommodating when we downsized our guest list during Covid, & always answered any questions and concerns quickly. My fiance and I didn't want to do a traditional cake that you cut and shove into each other's mouths at our wedding. We wanted gourmet, pop one in your mouth and get back to the dancefloor mini cupcakes. And that's exactly what Blue Crab Cupcakes gave us. First of all - let me start by saying that I was totally blown away by the fact that they let you do a complimentary tasting of all of the different cupcake flavors / styles in their little back room of their bakery. I honestly think I ate 100 cupcakes in that tasting along with my fiance and father-in-law. It was such a nice touch and really shows how much they care about the couple making their decision. The cupcakes are SO. GOOD. They have so many different flavors and they are all designed so cute. People at our wedding RAVED about them. I also loved that people could easily pop them into their mouth and keep partying vs. having to sit down and eat a full dessert meal. Also, Blue Crab Cupcakes lets you use unlimited set-up rentals for their cupcakes as well for a small flat-fee. They will set it up if you'd like for a fee too! Blue Crab Cupcakes made us an exceptional cake for a great price and zero stress. They were beyond helpful on the day of the wedding because I had forgotten to send a picture of how I wanted the cake florals to look on the cake and they were extremely flexible and our cake looked absolutely gorgeous! Our cake was delivered on time, looked stunning, and tasted delicious. We made the best choice going with Blue Crab Cupcakes for our wedding cake needs. Great Cupcakes
We live nearby the bakery and visited just for the cupcakes and when we realized how great they were we decided on them for our wedding! When we went for our tasting we tried pretty much very flavor in a mini cupcake and it was hard to decide on just a couple flavors for our selection. We went with a little cake to cut and just under 100 regular size cupcakes. We did just one 1 per guest and had about less than a dozen left over. And their rental materials and arrangement looked great! -

Blue Crab Cupcakes were the best idea we had for the wedding. It allowed us to have gluten free options for our guests, and ease for clean up. The mini cupcakes were perfect because it allowed the guests to have 2-3 different flavors. We had 6 different flavors, plus our wedding cake. The cake was perfect. We were able to customize the flavor to lemon with a raspberry filling that was so delicious!!! We did have left overs which we were fine with because that allowed us to enjoy the yummy cupcakes and re-live our reception and share with family and friend days, weeks after the wedding. The initial consultation and tasting was great! We tried so many flavors it made it hard to choose! :) We had everything delivered which allowed us to not worry about picking up and transporting everything. We had the option of renting cupcake stands, but we did not since my father created some for us. But it was great to see that if you did rent them it was a flat one fee for as many stands as you needed. Thank you Blue Crab Cupcakes for producing a delicious yummy dessert that we and all our guests enjoyed! I recommend them for any occasion you have coming up! -

I found Blue Crab Cupcakes online and was able to attend their VIP tasting event in Annapolis in the spring. My daughter and my MOH and her daughter went as well and we fell in love with these amazing cupcakes. These are "filled" cupcakes so they're unique and the variety of flavors were endless.Communication was excellent leading up to my event and the set up was beautiful. I even had a special jumbo cupcake for my sister because her birthday was on our wedding day! The cupcakes were fresh and absolutely delicious.

This is one thing our guests cannot stop raving about. They LOVED the cupcakes! So much so, I just found out one of my husband’s good friends and one of my mother’s good friends realized they were both after the last mini cupcake of a particular flavor and agreed to split it (aka a tiny bite each), neither having met the other prior! These are so good they turn strangers into best friends! The team displayed them wonderfully, the cupcakes stayed fresh in the fridge for over a week and the customer service is just great. If you’re looking for a baker in the Annapolis area and beyond, look no further. -

Vegan Cake & Cupcakes
Our guests LOVED the vegan cupcakes that Blue Crab provided for our wedding. In fact, most of them had no clue that the delicious treats they were eating were even vegan! Blue Crab took amazing care of us from start to finish, and I was so grateful that I got to enjoy the fun of a cupcake tasting as a vegan bride. (They made tons of flavors just for me and my mom to try!) We ended up selecting Lemon Blueberry, Snickerdoodle, Mounds (coconut & chocolate), and Chocolate Peanutbutter cupcakes along with a cutting cake. All of the flavors were fabulous, but I especially love the Chocolate Peanut Butter and the Lemon Blueberry. Whether you're vegan or not, Blue Crab is a great local, woman-owned company that you can feel good about supporting -- and they'll take amazing care of you! -

One of the biggest hits of the whole wedding! We were on the upper end of what was recommended in terms of cupcake order (4 dozen large, 8 dozen mini), but nearly ran out because they were so popular. There was a small plate that made it to the bartenders after the reception, but that was it in terms of leftovers.
Communication was strong throughout the process; we realized we were running up to the end of the timeline and called them just before they were going to call us.
Honestly, this was the only cupcakery we actually looked at. We had Georgetown in mind as another option, but given the proximity of Blue Crab to us, they made more sense. Also we were blown away by the flavors they offered, including lemon blueberry (which was one of my childhood favorite dessert combinations!), salted caramel, key lime, and snickerdoodle. Everything was good enough that we even took a risk on cannoli as a large cupcake flavor and our cutting cake without trying it - we meant to but kept forgetting to go by.
The size of the cutting cake took us aback a little bit, because it was about twice as tall as I think we were expecting, but once we got it cut it was delicious.
Order more than you think you need because they’re so good! -

Gabrielle Sent on 09/20/2018They were amazing! They were a hit with my guests. When you buy their amazingly delicious cupcakes, you're not just getting the cupcakes. We're getting the whole package. They offered so many cute platter varieties, a sign for the flavors, came early to set up and truly care about the presentation. They took leftover flower petals and bits to decorate the dessert table. It was amazing. They even brought platters for my cake which I I got from another vendor. They even left empty packages for all the leftovers. They were a great day after treat/souvenirs. Super accommodating!

All of my guests loved them, they were reasonably priced and they were legit some of the best cupcakes I've ever had. I made sure our coordinator put some in our hotel room for the next morning and I'm so happy we did because it was the best treat. My husband and I will be getting them for all of our anniversaries moving forward! -

We worked with Carrie for almost a year and a half before our big day and she was supportive and patient through the whole process, not to mention her amazing cupcakes. These cupcakes are not your typical wedding cupcakes as each cupcake has its own unique flavor and filling! You will not be dissappointed!

The cupcake tower was gorgeous and our guests were raving about how delicious they were- they said they went up for thirds and fourths because they couldn't get enough of them! Carrie was so easy to work with, very responsive, and made sure to pay attention to all the details to make sure the display was everything I wanted and more. I would definitely recommend!

We were able to pick our favorites and we picked the stand and how our display would look. As we got closer she answered any questions we had and even called me the day before to talk through set up and little details that she wanted to be prepared for. I love this business and it’s owner and employees. I have been in before and after our wedding and they have gained a customer for life.

She is so responsive and very helpful through the entire process. The best part - her cupcakes are the most delicious desserts I've ever had! My fiance and I requested a special flavor and at our tasting she surprised us with a perfected a recipe for a pistachio cupcake! We loved it!
These cupcakes are addicting! We made sure to order too many so that we got to take a couple dozen home with us after our wedding. And for anyone that needs to freeze these cupcakes, I can tell you that they hold up and are just as good once defrosted! -

Not only were the cupcakes so delicious, but Carrie was an absolute joy to work with from the personalized tasting to the professionalism and early set up on the big day! We selected an assortment of fruity and chocolatey flavors in regular and mini size, which was the perfect recommendation by Carrie to meet a wide variety of guest preferences. She assured us if we changed our mind closer to the date we could just let her know, which was nice to know since wedding details are planned so far in advance. Wedding cakes are beautiful, but their cupcakes were affordable, delicious and allowed for more variety. We just used a small cake from Whole Foods to cut and were so happy with our choice. We used Blue Crab Cupcakes for the engagement party and bridal shower as well and will never use anyone else! They are simply the best hands down!

Plus, her prices are fair and the quality is outstanding. Everyone asked me after the wedding where the cupcakes were from. We chose 4 different flavors and a mix between regular and mini cupcakes for our wedding. They were a huge hit, everyone loved them, there were no leftovers( shocking) and all of our guests kept asking where they were from. Carrie is seriously the best to work with. She is laid back, organized, helpful, extremely responsive and so easy to work with. Once I booked my cupcakes with her I didn’t worry about a thing. I was able to rent a stand from her and she came to my venue and set up my cupcakes beautifully. At the tasting we were able to taste a ton of flavors and she explained everything to us. She was extremely accommodating to any changes we wanted to make. We made the best decision choosing Blue Crab Cupcakes and now recommend them to everyone we know. Book them for your wedding and you won’t regret it!!

We decided to add a mini cake (bought at local bakery) so we could still do the whole “cutting of the cake” part!
Carrie was super helpful and responsive throughout the process.

Carrie was a joy to work with throughout the whole process!! I can't compliment her cupcakes enough! They were absolutely beautiful and tasted unreal! I have to say snickerdoodle is my favorite with Red Velvet in close 2nd. You can't go wrong with any of her flavors, they are all yummy!! She did a tasting for us and we had the hardest time deciding. From the first time I met Carrie to the night of my wedding, I was always so impressed with the level of professionalism and the amazing quality of her product. My guests couldn't get enough of the cupcakes. I think we actually ran out earlier than expected as my guests were becoming greedy with them, hehehe (we left some to go containers - maybe not the best idea for future brides haha). Carrie was so accommodating throughout the entire process. We got a combination of Large and Mini cupcakes of different flavors and they were a huge hit. I definitely did NOT miss having a wedding cake and that was my one concern about going with cupcakes. Carrie set up a beautiful tier for us and its was just stunning. Thank you to Carrie and Blue Crab CupCakes for taking care of one of the sweetest parts of our wedding (pun intended :)!
