This band got the the day going.

I hired the Blue Breeze Band for my daughter's outdoor wedding in August 2021. It was a small intimate affair in Los Angeles for just the immediate family with about 22 invitees. I was fortunate to find the Blue Breeze Band and they were available for her wedding day and worked with us on the songs to play at special times during the day. They elevated the "party meter" with their music and their attention to how much fun we were having. We couldn't have the entire band, so we had 5 band members set up all the acoustics and play. They were fabulous. Everyone loved the music so much, that they felt like they were part of the wedding party. We never expected to have so much fun. We knew the event would be elegant and memorable, but everyone commented on how much fun the music added to the day's events. The played at the wedding ceremony while the Bride walked down the isle, when the maid of honor, best man and Mother of the Groom walked down the isle, at the cocktail hour and the reception. We were running late, and the wedding ceremony started late, but the band just rolled with everything. I wish we could hire them for another event. They were so memorable. And everyone in the band was so nice, friendly, and really committed to seeing that the music captured the Bride's wishes. They are fabulous performers, very talented entertainers, and just down to earth good people.

Blue Breeze Band is the best!

We absolutely loved Blue Breeze Band! Our guests were all on the dance floor. My only complaint about the wedding was that I wish we could have gone later so the band could keep playing. Harold was so kind and accommodating. Our wedding was May 2021 so guidelines were changing quickly and Blue Breeze band was so kind and flexible.

You definitely won't find a better wedding band!

I really can’t say enough great things about The Blue Breeze Band! All our guests kept telling us that it was the best music they had ever heard at a wedding and we happen to agree with them! The musicians themselves couldn’t have been more friendly and they all had incredible chemistry and stage presence. We wouldn’t have changed one song from their setlist and they kept us dancing for the full 90 minutes. We felt so honored to have them be part of our wedding and now we’re bummed we can’t see them perform more regularly. Thank you for making our reception absolutely perfect!

Harold and the band provided top flight entertainment for our wedding reception in Carlsbad overlooking the ocean. We wanted to have a great dance party and Blue Breeze Band delivered. I knew they would as I has seen them the previous year at an international tech conference. They not only got all the techies up and dancing, but they even got the Asians from around the globe to let their hair down - not an easy thing to accomplish.

We danced all night long and were absolutely pleased at how the standout singers and soloists worked the crowd. We had people in from all over the country and universally everyone raved at how great our party was.
We couldn't be more pleased with Harold and the band - consummate professionals and worth every penny.

Blue Breeze Band, and Harold specifically, was amazing to work with from when we picked them a year before our wedding to the day of! Harold is super responsive with emails and answered all of our questions quickly. They accommodated our special song requests, set up our ceremony sound for a reasonable fee, and made our reception an absolute blast. We got such great feedback from our wedding guests who danced the whole time. My only regret is that we couldn't have them play for longer!

Excellent band!!!! The dance floor was packed the entire night, their services was impeccable and the music selection was on point!!! Harold, the band manager is a delight to work with and answered every question promptly and kindly. I can't say enough amazing things about this band. We got more compliments about the band than any other part of our wedding. they seriously made the entire night so FUN!!! Well worth the money.... besides...you cannot put a price on perfection! Ive never seen or heard a better funk/soul band in my life.... and i have seen a heard a LOT of funk/soul bands. BEST BAND EVER!!

Hands down, the best wedding band on the West Coast. Probably one of the best bands on the West Coast, period. They had every single guest on the dance floor all night, and put on a great show. The first thing anyone mentions to us about the wedding is how phenomenal the band was - they truly made our night spectacular!

There aren't enough words to describe how much we LOVED having Blue Breeze play our wedding! They are incredible and truly made the night! Every single person at our wedding (including us) was blown away and had the best time! We live in New Orleans, are big music people and had such high hopes of finding a really great band. Blue Breeze was exactly what we had dreamed of! They were absolutely prefect on all fronts. The energy on the dance floor and in the air was off the charts. Our friends and family are still talking about how fabulous our band was. Blue Breeze is so talented, so much fun and so professional. Our wedding would not have been the same without them! Blue Breeze is absolutely fabulous!

When it came time to plan my own wedding and I knew I didn't want a DJ and the cheezy wedding band wouldn't do, I went searching through my vendor file and came across the Blue Breeze Band card. I knew this was it. Harold was so accommodating and easy to work with in the planning process. Their selection of music they play is vast and with them having such a wonderful genre coverage of music, there was something for everyone. The band was professional, entertaining, and full of talented musicians that really vibed off each other. It was almost like having a private jam session. I would recommend this band to anyone for any occasion. They are awesome!

The Blue Breeze Band absolutely rocked our wedding. Everyone loved them. They are everything you want in a wedding band--musically talented, great repertoire, fun attitude, and they totally catered to the crowd. Also, Harold was very flexible finding a way to work within our budget. I couldn't recommend them more highly. They were a highlight of the wedding celebration!

My wife and I couldn't be happier with Blue Breeze Band and how they performed at our wedding. Harold, the band manager, was extremely professional in making all the arrangements, and the band played lights out. Our guests couldn't stop raving about how much they enjoyed the music and dancing. I can't explain how awesome Harold and the Blue Breeze Band were at my wedding! Everyone from my 85 year old grandma to 21 year old friends were out on the dance floor all night. I got a million compliments from guests and would strongly recommend Blue Breeze Band to all my friends getting married!

I cannot say enough good things about the Blue Breeze Band. They are absolutely fabulous. Even the caterers were saying it was by far they best band they'd ever seen at a wedding. They're excellent musicians, the music they play is great and they're all just super-fun. Everyone will want to dance - even people who normally don't. People at our wedding had such a great time and liked them so much that some are going to see them when they play elsewhere. That's how much fun they are. So book away. Your guests will thank you for it and I guarantee you won't be sorry.

I can't recommend Harold and his band enough! They were amazing to work with leading up to the wedding - helped guide us through the song list, visited the venue to brainstorm about layout and options for music during dinner and for dancing. And then the day of, it was amazing. beautiful music, so much fun dancing...we could have stayed with them all night.
We decided to pay extra last minute to have a female vocalist and horn player...well worth the extra cost!
We would highly recommend them for any event where you are looking to have a great time with family, friends and/or colleagues.

Blue Breeze Band was unbelievable!!! They had everyone of our guests, of all ages, on the dance floor all night long. The entire band and singers were AMAZING, so much so that our guests are still raving about them and telling us that they were the highlight of the wedding! We all loved the music from beginning to end, every guest included. You were beyond entertaining, engaging, and absolutely stunned our audience. We have had over a week of reminiscent conversations with our friends and family and your music is what stood out at all times and continues to do so. I, Mario, am especially thankful for you taking the time to learn a new song for the mother and son dance; my mother was shedding tears as this is a very special song for us.

Put simply, the Blue Breeze Band is amazing!

Working with Harold and the entire band was so easy and enjoyable and they were so helpful and patient throughout the whole process. They were a huge reason why our guests thought our wedding was so wonderful and such a blast.

Harold and the band made our ceremony and first dance extra meaningful, and they really brought the funk for the reception -- the dance floor was packed all night long! Our wedding planner may have summed it up best when she told us: "I am not sure I have EVER seen that amount of energy on a dance floor, ever." All of our guests absolutely raved about the Blue Breeze Band and they're still talking about how much fun they had at our wedding.

My husband and I agree that our wedding weekend was the best weekend of our lives, and the Blue Breeze Band played such a large part in making it so special.

Harold and the Blue Breeze band were unbelievable. Hands down we picked the best band possible for our wedding.

Harold was energetic, skilled musician that plays with heart and soul, and brings the party with him and his band.

He was responsive to our particular requests, he played every song we asked for.

There were guitar and saxophone solos that really got and keep the party going.

I can't say enough about this band. You will not be disappointed if you hire the Blue Breeze Band. It's an easy choice.

I can't say enough about the Blue Breeze band - they were SO much fun! Not to mention extremely easy to work with, reliable and dependable. As the bride, I couldn't be happier.
One of the best parts about the Blue Breeze is that I only spoke with Harold one time on the phone to tell him what kind of an experience we were looking for...The group needed very little direction, and they completely nailed it. They kept the dance floor packed the entire time with really fun music. Our guests are constantly telling us how great the band was and that it was one of the most memorable aspects of our entire wedding!
I highly recommend Blue Breeze to anyone looking for a really fun event with amazing live music. Thank you Harold and Blue Breeze for making our wedding so special, fun and truly memorable!!

It was an absolute joy working with the Blue Breeze Band. They were extremely helpful and very quick to respond or get back to us during the planning process. Another thing that stood out to us while planning with the band was that they were very personable and a complete joy to work with! They were very professional, but also knew how to may the event a blast for everyone in attendance! The sound quality of the band was amazing, and their interaction with the crowd was enjoyed by everyone. Blue Breeze Band had our wedding guests dancing and having a good time. Music is so important at a wedding, and the right type. We didn't want thuggish rt clubbish type music at our wedding, so we hired blue Breeze Band. There's nothing like having live music rather than a DJ, it was like a bringing a concert to the wedding and making it so much fun. Harold knows how to read the crowd and adjust the music to make people dance, he really rocked our wedding in a good fun way. Thank you so much for making our wedding a great and memorable experience.

The Blue Breeze Band were absolutely superb at our wedding. Their set was full of energy and fun. We had lots of big music fans in our party and they all loved it and were dancing from the first song to the last. Highlights included when the saxophone player weaved through the dancefloor to serenade the bride and the final song – an extended version of Shout that had everyone bouncing. They were integral to making our reception in Palm Springs full of laughs and dancing. Harold is a nice chap and great to deal with too.

The Blue Breeze Band is absolutely amazing. We had a big barn wedding outside San Luis Obispo and decided we wanted a band that would bring the house down. People were so bummed when it was time for them to stop, and everybody danced all night long! Harold was especially lovely to work with. You won't be disappointed.

When we began planning our wedding we knew we wanted great music. We both love old soul music...Motown, Stax, etc... and The Blue Breeze band completely fit the bill.

Harold, the band leader, was nothing but professional in the months leading up to the wedding and was a pleasure doing business with.

They were fantastic at the wedding! From the quiet background music during dinner, to the first dance songs (which they learned specifically for our wedding) to a 10+ minute version of the Isley Brothers classic "Shout" to end the evening. It was a perfect day made even more perfect by The Blue Breeze Band.

OMG!!!! If you are having an special event or party and want to make it a HUGE SUCCESS.....You need to hire the BLUE BREEZE BAND! I have never had so much fun dancing the night away with the most awesome band EVER!!! Can't tell you how many people are calling and writing me to say how awesome the band was!! These Gentlemen are Professional at its finest! A complete pleasure to deal with before during and after! Harold did exactly what he said he would do and more! You just don't get the extra touch from people anymore but you do from all of these guys!!!! They show up on time and gave 110%! Harold and the Blue Breeze Band were exactly what we had in mind when we decided that we wanted a live band that could perform an entire Motown-style set. Having spent a good amount of time searching for such a band, I honestly believe they are the only one in the San Diego area that has this capability. We had not seen them perform in person ahead of time, but we were not disappointed. Their performance was of great quality, and they even learned multiple songs (not on their playlist) per our request (with which they did a great job). Harold was eager and willing to work with us and accommodated many special requests. The band was on time and looked great for the event and all of our guests had an amazing time. In addition, our wedding coordinator says that Harold was very polite and easy to work with from her end. I highly recommend the Blue Breeze Band and my only regret was that our reception was not longer (to have more time on the dance floor).

They were super, excellent musicianship and professionalism. Set up all the audio for the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner as well. Definitely one of the best decisions we made on the wedding.

The Blue Breeze Band was absolutely incredible. They MC'd the initial part of the reception and played great music through the night. Everyone was on point. All the instruments and all the vocals were top class, and together they rocked the house and had everyone dancing until the owner of the property kicked them off stage because we went past the noise curfew for the city.

The Blue Breeze Band made our wedding not only the best day of our lives, but the "best wedding I've evvvvverrr been to," according to so many of our guests. From the first time we met with them, Harold and the band members were professional, enthusiastic, and so very kind. We spoke with them several times throughout our months of planning, and they were so patient with our indecisive habits when it came to choosing our special songs...they even taught themselves a new song to accommodate our first dance, and played a beautiful version of Michael Buble's "Everything." Once the party got started, it simply did not stop. We had over 300 guests at our wedding, and over 300 people on the dance floor throughout the entire night...nobody left until Blue Breeze Band was done for the night. Their songs were recognized by our friends and family of all generations, but it was their contagious energy and dynamic stage presence that truly captured all of us. We have had so much fun since the wedding remembering the nonstop dancing and hearing from all of our guests that our band was out of this world. The best decision we made on our wedding day was to marry each other, but a close second was to hire Blue Breeze Band!

We stumbled onto the Blue Breeze Band by searching online for a motown band in Southern California and we hit the jackpot! Harold, the band leader, is a pleasure to work with. He is responsive, personable, and accommodating.

The Blue Breeze Band's music is top notch - classy, cross-generational, and fun - and was a huge hit at our wedding. The saxophone player came and serenaded my wife and I on the dance floor during our first dance, which was a wonderful experience. Harold did a great job reading the audience and selected music that got folks excited and to the dance floor quickly and in large numbers (even those who I never thought would dance!). By the end, we were sweaty and exhausted from dancing the night away!

In addition, we asked the band to play Hava Nagila and the version they came up with was original and very special. One of our friends said that the band should record it and make it available to others it was so good. He said it was such a refreshing change from the usual.

From beginning to end, working with the Blue Breeze Band was a pleasure. I couldn't recommend them more highly. Thanks again to Harold and his team for making our reception a very memorable, joyous event.

The Blue Breeze Band was amazing. They truly took the magic of the evening to a different level. During our first dance, all my wife and I could talk about was how tight the band was.

Wedding guests in LA are going to their shows because they are so good.

If you want a true Motown/Funk/Fun band for your wedding, book these guys. They are worth every cent. Truly an A+ experience.

Hi everyone! We hired the Blue Breeze Band after desperately searching for a non-cheesy group to play at our wedding. We wanted a band that would have its own style it excelled at (not one that would play everything from Van Morrison to Journey to Bon Jovi to Beyonce, though we love all those guys) and were searching in the Motown/R&B/Soul genre which we love. We came across the BBB and one review in particular, from a groom whose sole wedding-related duty was to find the band - and after too many whiskeys and renditions of Wonderful Tonight he happened to find these guys. He said to "do yourself a solid" and hire the BBB, so we did! Just read these guys' bios on their website. Impressive! They have lots of clips too, but I have to say they sound even better in person. Perfect in fact. They even learned Cee Lo's "Forget" You for our wedding and even that, not part of their standard repertoire, was perfect. We had so much fun. They could really read the crowd and play the right thing for getting people going. Our guests were out there on the dance floor all night, even people we never would've expected to dance! At the end of the night they got literally every last person on the floor for "Shout" which is my husband's favorite song for a wedding :)

As far as the business side of things goes, it was easy to communicate with Harold Wherry, the band leader, and he proactively asked lots of questions to make sure we were prepared and that everything would go smoothly on the day. Which it did. The band's fees are also very reasonable compared to other wedding bands, which in my opinion aren't nearly as talented or as fun.

Harold and The Blue Breeze Band turned our reception into a rocking party!!! They were so flexible and able to play many different genres of music (from motown to reggae to funk, something for everybody!!!) to ensure people were on their feet and dancing the entire night! They also provided MC services for us, and everything was smooth and professional. The BBB was excellent. We found them through our wedding coordinator and they were extremely flexible in helping us decide on how large of a band we wanted and were willing to learn new songs per our request. They were wonderful at our reception - impressive musicians who kept the guests happy and bopping to the music all night long.
The BBB has been one of the things that our guests remember most from our wedding, and we were very pleased with their courtesy, music style, emcee-ing, ability to communicate with us/our wedding coordinator, and energy at our reception.
We highly recommend this band for your reception and encourage you to dance the night away to their music. They definitely made the reception and were courteous and easy to work with.

If you are looking for the funk and soul sound of the 60s 70s and up until today, this is your band. Harold and the guys definitely know how to put on a good party, and they bring the funk in a very real way. I've seen a lot of funk and soul bands on the east coast, chicago and west coast, and The Blue Breeze closed out set 2 with 'I Wish' and it was exactly what I had wished for. Stevie Wonder, Isley Brothers, Sly Stone, Otis, and a few tunes from today as well, they nailed every single one of them.

Even though these bass lines are down and dirty, the band is as professional, courteous, and accommodating as could possibly be. I literally gave them a basic schedule and they did their thing with minimal direction needed. I will mention that the band's price is very fair, definitely worth every penny. Do not hesitate to book this group of funk masters, their youtubes do not do them justice.

Absolutely fantastic band ... everyone at the wedding was saying how great they were.

Harold and the Band put in alot of effort to make the party happen and before we knew it everyone was up and dancing on the dancefloor.

Music selection was so good My Bride and I were the last to leave the party at 2.30am !!

I should start by saying that this is the groom writing the review. I'm not disclosing this because I believe that complete transparency is required here, but because I'm extremely proud that I BOOKED THIS BAND FOR OUR WEDDING. ME. I was trusted with only one major job for this thing and man did I deliver. Okay, so it was actually The Blue Breeze Band that delivered, but I'm taking a small sliver of credit here because there are literally thousands of wedding bands in the LA area and it was a painful, difficult search. Much whiskey was consumed and many, many awful renditions of "Wonderful Tonight" were endured. But I digress...

Harold was immediately responsive to emails and phone calls leading up to the event and was receptive to special requests pertaining to the set list and schedule. The band allowed us to use their sound equipment to play background music through our iPod during the cocktail hour, and then again for our first dance immediately after our arrival at the reception. Then, it was on like Donkey Kong. The poor dance floor never got a break; I was afraid it would actually burst into flames (and also kind of hoping it would cause that would be awesome). More than one incredibly sweaty and out-of-breath person told me that they "usually don't even dance at weddings!" Clearly, the band read the crowd perfectly. They also took care of announcing all of the necessary things: our arrival, the father/daughter and mother/son dances, the cake cutting, the toasts, and also the fact that it was time to take us to Funky Town.

In summary, do yourself a solid and put and end to your search for a wedding band. Hire the Blue Breeze Band.

Harold Wherry and The Blue Breeze Band were helpful and easy to work with. Harold was patient with our questions regarding some points in the contract (we wanted to clarify the provisions in case the band cancelled, since that had happened with the previous band we thought we had lined up - of course we never needed these with the BBB), and he drove across town on a weekday to check out the venue well in advance of the gig, just to be sure that everything would go smoothly. On the night of the wedding the band sounded great and got people dancing. Afterwards many of our guests mentioned how much they liked the band. Highly recommended.

The Blue Breeze Band played at our wedding reception on July 24 2010. Harold and the Band were great to work with and very professional and accommodating. They play a wide variety of well chosen music from jazz to r@b and oldies rock and roll. We asked if they knew " The Way You Look Tonight" to play for our "First Dance" a few days before the event. Harold said they did not know the song but that he would see what he could do. They learned the song and played it beautifully for us on our "First Dance". We saw them play an outdoors concert in La Jolla a couple of weeks before our wedding and I have never seen so many people up and dancing at an outdoor concert before. They have a lot of fun playing and are very talented musicians. I highly recommend the Blue Breeze Band!

This band is awesome! The music was great and I was surprised how good the singing was. All our friends were impressed with the band. They arrived on time and worked with me on the flow of the event. My wedding was an Asian wedding and so it's quite different than regular wedding receptions. They were great with accommodating me with my requests. I would love to have them again for a future event - maybe a wedding anniversary some day. What I also loved was having the saxophone guy play next to us while we were dancing. We weren't expecting that and it was a nice surprise. Pretty much we had a bad ass band! You will be very happy with going with these guys.

My husband and I love live music and R&B/Blues so when we heard the Blue Breeze Band in Los Angeles we loved the music, but wondered if they would be able to get people on the dance floor on the big day. We were so pleased that the dance floor was PACKED the entire reception. At some weddings you start to lose people at the end of the night, but Harold and the other members of the band kept every guest there till the end. Everyone was disappointed that it was over! Everyone I spoke to raved about the band, and said they were the best part of the entire evening. Their music really appeals to every demographic- our twenty-something friends were living it up with our seventy year old grandparents! Harold was so professional during the entire process, and kept in contact with me during the year of planning. It was so important to us to have a band, and although typically that would have been a bit out of our budget, the Blue Breeze Band is surprisingly affordable. Contact Harold and he will send you a video of their performances. We couldn't be happier with our choice and highly recommend the Blue Breeze Band for your wedding!

Harold and the rest of the Blue Breeze Band are true professionals. They recently played our wedding ceremony and reception in La Jolla. Their ability to switch between genres (classical and jazz for the ceremony and blues, soul, rock, r and b for the reception) makes them flexible for any event. The set the perfect mellow mood for the ceremony on the beach and then shook the whole house down for the reception. Everyone at the wedding had a great time dancing the night away - old and young. I would highly, highly recommend their services to anyone planning a wedding or special celebration. Harold will go out of his way to create a song list for you and really make you feel special.

We were so lucky to have found this band. The band leader Harold is incredibly professional and will respond immediately with any questions. The made our ceremony and reception so much fun, people who never dance were dancing and everyone partied right until the last dance. We loved them so much that we have booked them for another organizations' event that are are a part of and can't wait to see them again.

The Blue Breeze Band was the PERFECT band for our event. They showed up 4 hours before the event just to make sure we were comfortable and everything was setup correctly. The band all wore tuxedos and looked sharp! Their music was incredible, they played both slow music and fast and upbeat. There could not have been a better band for out event. My husband and I were delighted to have Blue Breeze perform at our
sons wedding. The bands professionalism helped to make the wedding and reception flow smoothly. The band members drove over 70 miles one way to get to the wedding location. They all arrived ahead of schedule and were set up in no time at all. My brother referred the Blue Breeze Band to us after he heard them play at his friend's wedding. He told me they were awesome and that everyone was dancing the whole night. Based on my brother's recommendation and additional research, we hired the Blue Breeze band to play at our wedding. It was important for us to have a talented band that would get everyone on the dance floor, and the band definitely delivered. Harold and the rest of the Blue Breeze band were professional, responsive, and easy going throughout the whole wedding planning process. They did an amazing job playing our requested first dance, father/daughter, and mother/son songs, and read the crowd the rest of the night to play music that got EVERYONE on the dance floor. Well after the wedding, guests are still telling me that they were the best band they have heard at a wedding. I highly recommend hiring the Blue Breeze Band and would definitely use them again!

Harold and the Blue Breeze Band were a dream to work with! The Band were a referral from a family friend who had gotten married a few months earlier and loved the Band's performance. We had to change venues about 3 months before the wedding and Harold made sure that our new space would work for his team. In addition he was professional, patient, understanding and responsive with all of our requests. Our guests loved the music! We danced the night away! I could not imagine our wedding without Harold and team.

The only thing I would have changed is piping in the Daughter Father and Son Mother dance music. I chose country music that was meant for a 16 piece orchestra so understandably it sounded quite different. I wish they had pushed back a bit more to pipe in the music.

I also want to share that we were all really pleasantly surprised at how much more music the band played than we were expecting. Towards the end of the night they busted out a few current pop hits as well as other party favorites.

We highly recommend The Blue Breeze Band!!

Harold and the Blue Breeze Band were the utmost of professionals, and sought to make our wedding the most special day possible. Their mix of music was just right and kept all groups excited and dancing throughout the night; needless to say, they are all very talented. Stand out moments were the crowd-mingling sax player, Harold's spot on guitar solos, and their ability to match our unrehearsed, spontaneous dance-offs throughout the night. Harold has a great demeanor, invests himself in getting to know you before the wedding (even providing calming advice for the ceremony in the days leading up to the big day), and all-in-all cares about the product he delivers. The reason we chose Blue Breeze was because we did NOT want a "Don't Stop Believing" cover band at our wedding- we wanted an actual band dedicated to good music that keeps your feet a-tappin.' We found just that in the Blue Breeze Band.

Our only constructive feedback would be making sure to coordinate well with the band beforehand regarding transitions (ie. first dance, speeches, cake cutting), to make sure they are all seamless.

We happily and enthusiastically recommend going with the Blue Breeze Band! Cheers.
