I couldn't be happier with the Miller Park Pavilion as a venue, and the service provided by Bloomington Parks & Recreation.

Tables and chairs are included with the building rental. They did all the table and chair setup for us, based on notes I gave them, and everything was exactly where we wanted it when we arrived to decorate the morning of the wedding. We had access to the building all day.

When we realized that some of our chair covers were smaller than the others, a group of Parks & Rec employees rushed us over some narrower chairs for those tables.

It rained unexpectedly and was freezing cold the entire day, so having access to the wide porches and the beautiful interior allowed us to get great wedding photos even though we couldn't use the park. If you want to see them, click here: http://www.romineweddingsblog.com/?p=2158

Beautiful venue for a reasonable cost

We absolutely loved having our wedding at the Miller Park Pavilion! It was a little harder to communicate with people because it's run through the Parks & Rec. department, so finding a contact was a bit difficult, but the space itself is so beautiful and well worth the reasonable cost!

The people in the Parks and Rec office were really helpful and the facilities people who set up the day of were SO accommodating. They worked with me to adjust the tables to exactly what I wanted. The only frustrating part was the price. It's $700 for the whole day. It just seems like a steep price for what you get -- the space is beautiful and so is the view, but all they are doing is setting up the tables and chairs for you. I wouldn't have traded it for a different venue, just wish the price was better!

This is a great venue for their price! It's a beautiful location for your wedding. However, they were a tad rude and difficult to work with when wanting to get in the night before. They charged almost double to use the night before and made some weird stipulations that were nonexistent on the original forms they gave us. For example, we were told they would have the chairs and tables set up and ready to go for Saturday. But, then when we asked about renting out the place for Friday night, they said we could rent one floor for a cheaper cost (which we decided to do). Then, they told us that they would not have the other floor set up for us. We also got different information from different people. We were told at one point we could get in as early as we needed to on Saturday, and then we were told we couldn't get in until 8am (which is the reason we then inquired about coming in on Friday night).
