A dream come true!
Christol was an absolute dream to work with! Her calmness and kindest made for a very enjoyable experience. The whole wedding party loved their hair, and I LOVED my hair and makeup. She really brought everyone’s vision to life. Christol was very professional and welcoming, and I couldn’t be happier with our experience together! -

I hired Christol with Bliss Salon & Beauty Bar for my mother, mother in law and my bridesmaids' hair & makeup. She was so friendly and did a wonderful job. All of my bridesmaids looked so beautiful. My mom said it was the best hair style she had ever had. I was nervous just from booking online, but from researching her work and reviews I chose Christol and I'm so glad I did. She was so great to work with. -

An amazing makeup artist and hair stylist!
Christol was amazing! Not only did she do a great job with our hair and makeup, but she even helped us sew up my bridesmaids dress! She went above and beyond and I could not have asked for a better person to do our wedding. -

I am so happy with how beautiful our hair & makeup turned out. Christol was so easy to work with, she did amazing on my trial and didn’t blink an eye when I asked to change my lipstick for my wedding day. Her assistant was just as great and they were both so sweet, they helped us relax and all feel so beautiful. Couldn’t have been happier. 💕 -

Meredith Sent on 11/16/2017The girls at Bliss were so awesome! I tried a trial run with a different place before Bliss and I was very unhappy. I went into this trial explaining what I wanted and Christol delivered! She listened to my specific style while also making it look like I was a bride and not just everyday makeup. She made me feel so beautiful. Christol and her assistant were able to do all 6 of my bridesmaids, myself, and the two moms all on the same day within 2 1/2 hours. It was perfect. We had plenty of time the day of to take pictures with all the hair and makeup done. She was very reasonable for airbrush makeup and travels for free as long as you have at least 4 people. I recommended her to a friend and now she is doing her wedding too! I am in that one and I am so thankful to be able to work with Christol again. Highly recommend!

They were ready to do my bridesmaids' hair & make up, and even though they had another wedding party to fix up that same day, they never rushed us. Even my hair & make up trial was comfortable, I brought in pictures and we both worked together to get the perfect look. Christol is very nice & very honest. -

SCAM. after paying her a lump sum when she responded via email within minutes, for almost over a week I received no response about scheduling hair and makeup. Obviously after paying $1,075 I became very uncomfortable. I looked at reviews to see if she was still providing a good service and all the recent reviews for well over 6 months were horrible. I grew more uncomfortable and tried calling the salon only to find it was not in service. I then went down to the establishment and it was completely vacant. At this point I still received no contact. For months I was trying to get my money back and even involved the police to which she lied to them telling them that I was the one who wasn't responding to her. lol Long story short she had no cosmetology license, no real business, and had scammed someone else before in the past. She was taken to court which is public record by the city of BG for theft of deception. I eventually got my money back from her. To this day have not received a word from her -

BEWARE - do NOT even consider hiring Bliss Salon & Beauty Bar, specifically Christol Kratzer, for hair/makeup services. Trusting Christol Kratzer is a mistake you do not want to make. Christol/Bliss Salon & Beauty Bar neglected to show up to perform hair and makeup services, which I had paid for, on my wedding day - October 18th, 2024. I received zero communication from Christol or the salon - I did not receive any updates, an explanation or even an apology. Of course I requested the money I paid for hair/makeup services that Christol failed to provide be refunded. I was told twice that I would receive that refund but Christol continuously broke her promises and went back on her word. I was forced to take Christol to SMALL CLAIMS COURT. The judge determined that Christol legally owes me a refund of the money I paid her. However, she sadly met my severely low expectations of her and did not show up to court, but this is just the beginning and I’m confident that things will be made right, eventually. The bottom line is, Christol Kratzer is nothing but DELUSIONAL, UNPROFESSIONAL, UNRELIABLE, UNACCOUNTABLE and PATHETIC. Not to mention, Christol DOES NOT HAVE HER ESTHETICIAN LICENSE any more, making it ILLEGAL for her to perform hair and makeup services out of her salon - Bliss Salon & Beauty Bar. I have also had the pleasure of speaking with former employees and clients of Christol’s - everyone has the same thing to say: Christol is a manipulator, undependable, unreliable and constantly makes excuses for her unacceptable behavior. It sounds like she has a long history of taking money from clients yet failing to deliver what she promised. Anyways, if you do not want to be involved with a LOW QUALITY, UNETHICAL, INCOMPETENT, UNTRUSTWORTHY “professional” and business owner, STAY AWAY from Christol Kratzer and Bliss Salon & Beauty Bar. Tell anyone and everyone you know to avoid Christol Kratzer like the plague. -

I’m writing this in hopes that things change, I unfortunately will never recommend Bliss Salon to anyone. While Christol did good on my hair and makeup, I’m very upset with her. When getting the timeline set she had stated that she could everyone’s hair and makeup done by 1:45. She didn’t show up till after 11:30 and then didn’t even start my hair or makeup till 2pm!!! She got done with me at 3:15. My ceremony was to start at 3 pm. Sadly Christol ruined so much of my day. Why was mine and my girls’ hair and makeup not important? Why did the other bride she had squeezed in that morning get a slot so close to my time? Why did Christol show up so late? If you want your wedding day to go smoothly, avoid this salon.
