Amazing & Proffesional

Blanca, and her team did an AMAZING job. I previously did research for a cater for my wedding online, and she was at the wedding extravaganza. I saw their booth at the event, and tried her food and cakes, I knew I wanted her to cater and make my cake. I set up a meeting with her. I told her what we wanted for our weeding, we got exactly what we asked for. We had an open bar, the waiters and waitresses were going to the table to serve my gustes of the drinks they wanted without them having to get up for their drinks. She also did my decorations, us and our guests where very impressed. The cakes are delicious! I strongly believe that communication is the key to have a flawless wedding.

Amazing! A++

Blanca's cake made our BEAUTIFUL wedding cake, grooms cake and catered our wedding. She outdid herself and went above and beyond!! Our food and cake was the talk of the party and had soooo many compliments on how delicious the cake and food was! I would high recommend her if you are ever in the SA area!!

Our wedding cakes were beautiful and tasted so good! I showed her the picture I wanted for the grooms cake, and they made it happen! My husband loved it! We were so pleased and will be going back for our son's 5th birthday cake! Thanks Blanca's!

Blanca is just the best! She and her staff really went above and beyond, the cake and food was delicious! I definitely recommend Blanca's cake, they really made my wedding day perfect and stress free!

My cake was soooo epic!! I was so picky about who did my wedding and groom's cakes. Not only did they have to look great, it was important that it tasted great too. My guests were very impressed. Blanca is amazing!!!! She is so professional and willing to go the extra mile to get everything just right, just the way you want it! Her cakes are amazing and though I did not do catering through her (I had to get catering from our reception venue) I was able to try out her delicious food at my friend's wedding the weekend after mine. Blanca is so helpful and wants to please her customers no matter what you are looking for. I highly recommend her for all those looking for a caterer or cake. Her products are simply amazing!!

This cake shop was the first place that my daughter and I visited to do a cake test. My daughter is a fan of Red Velvet so when I made our appointment I asked specifically for that flavor. We went to our appointment and she had the Red Velvet along with other flavors (about 6). My daughter took a bite and said "this is what I want", and I said "you never know so let's try other places I have in mind". So we did, and NOTHING compared to what Blanca's cake tasted like. So we ordered the Red Velvet and we also ordered yellow cake with strawberry filling and butter cream frosting. The cake was set up on time and was displayed so beautifully. I received so many compliments on how beautiful it was and how flavorful both cakes were. I definitely recommend her cakes and I will most likely buy my cakes from here from now on.

The cake that Blanca made for my nephew's wedding was not only Beautiful but very good, they ordered 5 different flavors and they were all moist and delicious. The bride and groom were very particular about the type of style they wanted and they took a picture of what they wanted and made a few changes and Blanca made it just like they wanted. Everyone was extremely pleased.

We worked with Alex and his mother for our event. They were both very friendly and knowledgeable. They were patient as we took our time to decide the flavors, design and asked many questions. The day of the event the cake was delivered exactly at the time they said it would be. The cake was not only beautiful but was amazing. We received compliments all evening on how great the cake was. Thank you again for helping with the success of our event.

Blanca, let me just say OMG!!! Talk about Above and Beyond the call of duty!!! We had our marriage at Rockport TX. Not only that, she gave us a military discount. She drove out to Rockport, served my wife and I brisket and trimmings. The food was outstanding!!! So, before my wife and I got married, blanca started to decorate the chairs we had outside the pavilion. I asked her not to because I knew it was going to cost extra $$. But no!!! She did it out of good faith and decorated 30 chairs for wedding ceremony. I was just blown away from her service, professionlism, and her character. We had alot of extra food left over and she had extra trays and wrapped up all the food for us. she even left her linen there with us. Of course we dropped it off the following Monday, but she and her staff are just amazing! I will use her services again when my daughter has her sweet 16 this June! And for the price, she was a steal!!! Thank you Blanca!!! oh, and the wedding cake was just awesome!!!!!!

My husband and I have gone to Blanca to make all of our kids birthday cakes for the past 4 years. And everytime she has out did herself from the last cake. We went to her for our wedding, and as always we gave her a design and with no question: she said ok! And again, we were very happy with the cake. This cake was on a bigger scale, and was served to a lot more people, and she was up tp the challenge. Great job Blanca!

Blanca was amazing to work with. The cake was even better than I imagined. It was gorgeous! We received tons of compliments on the food. We served lasagna with a zucchini blend. We will definitely use Blanca's again for any cakes or catering in the future!

Everyone LOVED the cake! We had strawberry with strawberry filling for one layer and vanilla cake with cookies and cream filling for other layers. It was amazing and we had so many people rave about the cake! People even asked for leftovers. :)

I got a beautiful set of wedding cakes and grooms cake from Blanca's she made everything perfect and she really out did herself the cookies were an excellent touch to our candy bar and I loved them. Great prices, good people and really professional and quality was great. My husband actually picked her cake as being the best he had tried all day while at a bridal expo. I knew if he loved the cake our guest would to and they did.

I chose this bakery for my wedding cake because I had a friend use them for her wedding and the work was beautiful, not to mention the cake was fresh and very tasty. When the time came for my wedding I knew exactly where to go. When I walked in for a consult, I spoke with Blanca herself and she assured me she could give me just what I wanted compared to a picture I had found online. The day before my wedding, one of her associates called me to tell me they could not locate the picture of my cake and asked me to send it again because they were about to start baking my cake. I was more than happy to send them the picture again and very grateful they called me and did not just go off of a description. That also assured me that I was getting a fresh cake. I was not disappointed on my wedding day. The cake was beautiful and tasted amazing!

We planned our wedding within four months and came across Blanca's. They are so nice and understanding. Even with it only being four months away they never tried to push us out the door. She makes great cakes in no time! Thanks again Blanca!

Awesome catering service. Used full service with plenty of waiters and professional service. Many complements on great Italian food. Also used their table decoration/linen/plates. Place look great and very classy - This vendor not only knows its business, it goes above and beyond. My Number 1 vendor from now on.

OMG I can't say enough about Blanca and Jorge at Blanca's Cakes on Cullebra. They are not only wonderful people, but their cakes are to die for delicious!.. We had a multi tier, multi flavor wedding cake that we are still talking about. Our fave cake is red velvet, and her red velvet is the bomb! The grooms cake was vanilla with rasberry filling and was also delicious. Her prices are extremely reasonable! I would recommend Blancas for anyone who needs a special occasion cake or anytime you are craving something sweet look in their display case!

Blanca provided food, tables/linens, cake and coffee for our wedding. We also paid her extra to set up the table decorations. She was willing to do it all and took care of everything! The food was pretty good but the cake was a favorite. Several guests mentioned how tasty the italian cake was and that they got seconds. We also offered tres leches (that was my favorite from the night).

Blanca's strengths are that she is willing to work with you, offer deals and extras when you bundle services as we did and she is easy to reach at any time. She can be a little unorganized sometimes though - she called me the day before the wedding to ask what flavor cake I had ordered. Also she threw in the cake stand for free but on the day of seemed to have forgotten to bring it. These things were minor though and overall I was very impressed with the quality of food and the service of her staff. They were awesome! Very attentive staff that went above and beyond. I am very happy that we chose Blanca's and would recommend them to anyone.

EVERYONE LOVED THE CAKE!! Blanca made the cake for my daughters Sweet 16. I shopped around because I wanted a great tasting cake at a reasonable price and Blanca definitely delivered that!! The RED VELVET cake was AMAZING....not to mention the CHOCOLATE CAKE which was also just as amazing. MY Daughter, our friends and family loved it!! The ONLY complaint that I have is that it was NOT the exact cake design that we had chosen. She changed it on me without notice. The design was close to but NOT what we chose. The FACT that the cake was so GOOD and everyone enjoyed it made it easy to NOT get upset that it happened. I just wish she would have told me or explained why she changed it. NO big deal for us but keep that in mind if you are going to book her. Overall...GREAT CAKE AT A GREAT PRICE. Definitely would recommend to anyone. Thank you Blanca for the delicious cake!!!!!!!

I had them bake my wedding cake and it was delicious! She was very nice and accomadating, considering that I called to book her one month before our wedding. At the tasting she did not have the cake I wanted but the following day she showed up at my bridal shower with samples. This gesture made me feel secure and showed that she was there to make my decision easier. I took her pictures of cakes that I liked and she compiled all the details I wanted into "My Wedding Cake". Definately would recomend her cakes and services.

Had to update my review, the original is below...I really wanted to give this place 5 stars, the service before the wedding was perfect and the people who served at the wedding were great, the food was amazing. Only problem was they made the wrong cake! :( I had changed the look of my cake months in advance, pretty much a week after booking with them, I even emailed them a picture of what I wanted. When we confirmed a week before the wedding everything sounded great but then I waked out to see the wrong cake set up at our wedding. I almost started crying. The people there couldn't address the problem. I said I was going to call but never got around to it after the honeymoon and feel it's too late now. I would still use for catering.

Blanca has been wonderful! So far we have had a cake tasting and food tasting and we instantly put down the deposit for both because our experiance was so great! Her cakes are beautiful and tasty and the food was very yummy! I changed the look of my cake a week after first choosing and she was so helpful! The price is hard to beat. My fiance was unable to make it because he works a lot but Blanca sent me home with a plate for him to try. I am looking forward to thier services on the day of our wedding!! :) I will update once I'm a married lady.

Ok so the food and cake were great! No complaints there. But they were late to my reception. No cake or food to be seen, no answer when we called the store, had family members drive to their place to see where they were but then they finally showed up at the hall so we started serving 15 minutes late. They were supposed to leave wrap my cake to save for our one year but they didn't, nor did they save the leftover food for us. Blanca was able to give us some money back for the trouble, but I literally wanted to cry when I arrived to my reception and there was no cake displayed. Thankfully we had family members provide fruit appetizers for my guests to hold them over. But the food was delicious.

We loved Blanca's Cakes and Catering when we first met them. The dish we chose tasted fantastic at the tasting, some of the best food I've ever tried. We asked many questions before the wedding to make sure we had our facts straight, but many promises that were made went unfulfilled. The food was not hot or fresh at the wedding but it tasted alright. The cakes were gorgeous and tasted excellent, but Most of it got thrown away even though we asked for it to packed up to-go. We also asked for the left over food to be packed up and it either got thrown away or the staff took it home. Blanca didn't show up to our wedding even though she said she'd be there which ended up being a problem because the catering staff wanted to leave early and they were providing our liability insurance -yet another agreement that was made that went unfulfilled. My husband had to spend an hour trying to contact Blanca and get the mess sorted out which should not happen on someone's wedding day. When we went to discuss this with Blanca after returning from our honeymoon, she made excuses for her staff and didn't compensate us for the things we paid for that her staff threw away. We are disappointed because we really thought this vendor was going to be great. Boy were the cakes beautiful, though!

The day before my wedding I had issues with my cake order...the size and dimensions were wrong..The owners son and husband were not very helpful.After 45 minutes of hassle I finally got my order straight with them. The cake arrived on time which was a plus...After the cake cutting...I realized one of the cake fillings was wrong...the frosting was good and the cake looked pretty...the red velvet cake orderly was dry but the other flavors were good...overall...It turned out ok but I would have gone with somebody else...

I would not recommend Blanca's cakes. The price a quality of the cakes is great but the customer service and professionalism was very poor. On the day of the wedding Blanca did not arrive early as scheduled. When contacted by the venue she informed them she had the wrong date and had no one available to deliver the cake. She was able to arrange for delivery and told us it would be delivered by 630pm. When the ceremony began at 8pm they still had not arrived. During this time Blanca's cell phone was directing call directly to voice mail and would not return our calls. The cake arrived and was set up during the recepetion. We were having a cake and punch reception so guest had to wait. Two weeks after the the wedding I (groom) went to speak to Blanca. She blamed the daughter for getting lost. I did not ask for any refund I simply asked that she please call my wife and apologize and explain the situation as she was still very upset. Blanca and her daughter both agreed that would be no problem and would gladly call her. They wrote the number down again and told me they would call the next day when they had time to call. No call was received and no honest answer was given. I would recomend Blanca for their ready made cakes for pick it up but can not recommend them for and important events.

Disappointed

I wouldn't recommend Blanca's Cakes unless you're in a pinch or the event is not very important. The cake taste is okay, but honestly, even HEB's cake is better. My husband and I ordered our wedding cake from them. They delivered the cake on time and the flavors were correct, so that was good. However, the design was wrong. Before receiving the cake, I told the bakery four times that I can't stand fondant and absolutely did not want fondant on our wedding cake. Not only did my husband and I tell them this, but I also wrote it on the order form and a photo of the design we requested. They made ALL of the designs out of fondant, despite the contract specifically stating that the design was to be pipped with frosting. The fondant was a big letdown. When I reached out to them to let them know that they did not perform as required by the contract, they "ghosted" me. They completely disappeared and never responded to my email. I would not use their services again and would not recommend them.

Sat down and discussed all cake and linen options with Blanca, and was awaiting a written contract with all the discussed details, but she never contacted me. Three attempts to call her on the phone, and she apologized for being busy, but then still never sent the contract. Poor responsiveness and difficult to contact. We decided to go with another cake and linen vendor after we did not hear from her. Yet, she has the audacity to contact me 3 days before the wedding to ask me if I am still interested! No thanks to poor service and unprofessionalism!

Blanca's... Wow. Where do I even begin? The prices were incredible, the cake tasted wonderful, the catering menu was affordable and sounded delicious. We contracted with them to do our cake, catering, linens, centerpieces, flowers, pillars for the sweetheart table... Basically everything outside of entertainment and location. We set up an initial tasting for only cake. We showed up on time with our best man and maid of honor. No one even acknowledged us for a good 20 minutes. Then Blanca finally came out and looked confused. She had completely forgotten about us. She said if we wanted to wait an hour, she would have everything ready. Decided to wait, tried the cake, it was great so we contracted with her to make our wedding cake, and we scheduled a second tasting try a few things off of the catering menu as well. We picked colors for the linens and flowers, we picked the china and the lighting we wanted. She promised us everything would be set up the next time. So we showed up for the new tasting, and I could see walking in that our decor was not set up. No one acknowledged us this time for over half an hour. Blanca came out, again, looking confused. She had forgotten us again. She looked through her appointments, and looked really embarrassed that she had forgotten such a potential $4000 order. Needless to say, after reading multiple reviews of her not having cakes and food ready or delivered and completely forgetting people on their wedding days, we canceled our contract with her for the cake, and obviously did not contract with her for catering. If she managed to fudge two tastings with us in a 10 day period of time, how can we ever trust her not to screw up our wedding day? My advice to anyone who does decide to contract with her, is that you call and call and call every day leading up to your tasting and leading up to your event. I just wouldn't trust her with my special day. Not in a million years. Just, No. Don't. Look elsewhere.
