We worked with Eddy Bobby as our wedding DJ and Victoria Lukehart as our day of coordinator.
Victoria did an amazing job and was worth every penny spent. She worked with us for the entire month of the wedding, despite only being contractually obligated for the day of. She made us feel at ease going over timelines and was more than willing to have some late night discussions to ensure everything would run smoothly. The day of she was incredible at executing our vision for the night and ensuring we could relax and enjoy our wedding.
Eddy was a fantastic DJ for the night. He kept the pace of the music just right and played all our favorite songs. The portal Black Tie uses to create the playlist was incredible. We highly recommend you do what we did and just add a few songs to the recommended category and let Eddy take it from there. He clearly showed he knew exactly the type of music we wanted to hear and kept people on the dance floor the whole night!
I highly recommend you book both Victoria and Eddy if you want an unforgettable night! -

Black Tie Entertainment was amazing from start to finish! They worked with our budget needs and matched us with our amazing DJ, Jason. He was so helpful throughout the entire planning process and, with only a few calls, he nailed everything we wanted for our wedding day. He truly understood our vision and brought it to life perfectly.
From the prelude to the grand exit, everything ran seamlessly throughout the entire night. Jason coordinated with our other vendors to ensure smooth transitions and kept everything running effortlessly. His professionalism, attention to detail, and ability to keep the night flowing allowed us to relax and enjoy every moment.

Jason was absolutely fantastic. With just a few calls before the big day, he totally got us and knew exactly what we wanted from our DJ.
He knew exactly when to go up beat or turn down the tempo a little bit, improvised with some perfect song choices, and helped keep the toasts, first dances, and cutting the cake on schedule.
If you’re getting married, run, don’t walk to book Black Tie Entertainment for your reception. And ask for Jason because he was great! -

We cannot recommend John Lukehart highly enough! From start to finish, he was absolutely incredible as both our DJ and MC, and he played a huge role in making our wedding everything we hoped it would be.
One of the things that meant the most to us was that John worked with us to create a custom edit of our first dance song. It was such a special and personal part of our wedding day, and he took the time to make it exactly what we envisioned. We will always appreciate the care and attention he put into making that moment perfect.
Before the wedding, I told John that my dream was to look around the dance floor and see everyone out there together—our friends, our parents, my 6- and 8-year-old nephews, and guests of all ages. He absolutely delivered. The dance floor was packed all night long, and it was amazing to see every generation having a blast together. The energy never dropped, and he did an outstanding job reading the crowd and keeping everyone engaged.
In fact, one of the most consistent compliments we've received since the wedding is how awesome our DJ was and how much fun people had on the dance floor. Multiple guests have told us it was the most fun they've ever had at a wedding, and we couldn't agree more.
If you're looking for a DJ who is professional, talented, responsive, and knows exactly how to create an unforgettable party, John is your guy. Thank you, John, for helping make our wedding such an incredible celebration! -

We were so lucky to have John as our DJ for our June 2026 wedding in Richmond. John was on top of it, thoughtful, meticulous, and intentional throughout the entire planning process and all the way through the very last song of the night. We had a few “secret” songs that were kept from the bride and he held them close, ensuring there was no slip until the perfect moment. We also asked for specific moments of the songs to be played, down to a few seconds and John delivered every single time. Finally, we also asked for a wide range of genres throughout the reception- from oldies, to modern day pop, to old school country. Once again, John killed it and we had guests coming up to us all night saying how amazing he was. I don’t think there was ever a single moment where folks weren’t up and dancing! On top of his talent, it was also upwards of 90 degrees and fully outdoors. Thank you Black Tie Entertainment and thank you, especially, to John! Our day was that much more memorable because of you! -

Black tie is a great DJ service that offers everything you might need! We worked with their DJ Anthony Powell and I cannot say enough wonderful things about him.
Anthony helped us make custom cuts to all of our special songs that played at reception and you'd have no idea that the song was trimmed down because of how well he did. Anthony went above and beyond on the day of our wedding to ensure everything was exactly how we wanted it. Also Anthony showed up in a sharp looking suit that completely fit in with the wedding colors!
We also got the iPad photo booth from Black Tie and that was a major hit! Easy to use and the pictures came out amazing!
I would highly recommend Black Tie for all your wedding needs and specially I would recommend Anthony Powell. -

We had Jason Paige with Black Tie Entertainment as our wedding DJ and he was truly the best! The entire process leading up to the wedding was clear and easy to navigate. We got to choose our "must play" songs, provide info about our music preferences, input our special song requests, and speak with our DJ twice leading up to the wedding to talk through all the music details. We had a few special/odd requests for music throughout the night and Jason absolutely nailed them all! He was a huge part of making the evening so fun and high energy. From start to finish/planning to execution, our experience with Black Tie Entertainment for our wedding in April 2026 was exceptional. As a company, they are incredibly professional, punctual, detail-oriented, thoughtful, transparent, and kind. We technically only hired Black Tie Entertainment for their DJ and PhotoBooth services, but in retrospect I wish we had also hired them for coordination and planning services because they really were that phenomenal in all they did and even from just their DJ/master of ceremonies perspectives alone were a huge guiding force in us figuring out our timeline and flow.
Our experience with our personal DJ (Rick Pfamatter) and Photobooth lead (Sandra Pfamatter) were really extraordinarily special. Rick made us feel deeply cared for, seen, and clearly prioritized/valued ensuring our day reflected us. Not only did he honor our ‘Must Play’, ‘Maybe Play’, and ‘Do Not Play’ lists, but his transitions between songs kept all of our guests engaged and on the dance floor the ENTIRE night. Sandra ran the photobooth with precision and made sure copies were made for our guestbook so we would have memories of all our loved ones for years to come.
We’ve been told by many guests that our wedding was the best they have ever been to, and I think Black Tie Entertainment had a great hand in that. I’d recommend them and Rick and Sandra specifically, to anyone -

Working with Black Tie is a seamless and effective process! We started off connecting with John who helped us narrow down which DJ would be the best option for us. Following receiving the profiles we knew Angelica was the perfect fit for us. She was prompt for meetings and day of wedding, her personality is vibrant and fit for the entertainment level we wanted! She worked well with the venue and our personal officiant to make sure everything went off well. We had an amazing experience working with John Lukehart from Black Tie Entertainment for our wedding. John is extremely personable and made the entire process feel easy, straightforward, and stress-free. We didn’t want the typical cheesy, overly involved DJ, and my wife and I weren’t sure how to broach the subject during our first call. Before we even had to bring it up, John asked us many detailed questions to get our vision, one of which was how involved with our guests we would prefer him to be. Needless to say, we were super impressed upon first meeting and even more so after our wedding!
John did the music for our ceremony and reception and lights during the reception, all of which exceeded our expectations. He really understood the vibe we were going for during each part of the wedding.
We also appreciate how willing and excited he was to go with the flow. Toward the end of the reception, he played a Cher song that my wife loves. She asked John if she could do karaoke, and he immediately handed her the mic and made it happen. It turned into one of the most fun and memorable moments of the wedding.
John is friendly, professional, and incredibly easy to work with. If you want a DJ who will truly lead you through the process and make it fun every step of the way, John Lukehart is your guy. We couldn’t recommend him more highly! -

Eddy of Black Tie Entertainment did an absolutely fantastic job at our wedding. He met with us in advance a few times to go over logistics and discuss music preferences with us. Eddy took extensive notes on our musical tastes, and we were both impressed at the follow up meeting with how accurately he took down everything that we cared about. During the wedding day itself, Eddy was phenomenal; he coordinated well with the venue and wedding planner and was a calming presence throughout the day. At one point, our officiant called an audible that conflicted with the run of show (there was singing instead of a song being played). Eddy IMMEDIATELY recognized what was happening, killed the music until singing was over, and then restarted it from the beginning. Truly we could not have asked for a better DJ, we would recommend him 10/10 for sure!!!

I cannot say enough good things about John with Black Tie entertainment!! A good or bad DJ can totally make or break the vibe at a wedding and he 1000% nailed it! John was so thorough in getting to know us as a couple and what our vision was for our wedding. He went through each part of the wedding (ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, dancing) to make sure that he had the right selection of music and we felt that it was truly perfect! He even went into "must play" and " do not play" lists to make sure we had exactly the songs we wanted to hear or would most definitely not want to hear at our wedding. He is very talented and was able to coordinate pre-recorded vocals with our live strings and to work with a sax during our reception. He had a great gauge on what degree of "liveliness" we wanted at each part of the wedding and read the room so well. We have had many people from different ages tell us how amazing our DJ was! I would also like to mention that this was a black tie wedding and his equipment was so sleek and totally fit the venue. John was amazing and we would choose him again and again for any DJ needs! -

It was a true pleasure working with John and I would recommend him as a DJ to anyone looking for an upbeat and friendly DJ.
We last minute needed a day of coordinator and John set us up with his wife, Victoria. We truly couldn’t have done it without her. Our DJ, Eddy Bobby with Black Tie Entertainment, was fantastic from start to finish. Leading up to the event, he was very available, organized, and full of helpful suggestions. He made planning easy and stress-free, and on the wedding day he actually arrived early with everything ready to go — there was never a moment where we worried about reliability.
We did run into a timeline issue during planning, and even though it wasn’t their responsibility, Black Tie Entertainment stepped in and took it upon themselves to help resolve it. That level of initiative and professionalism really stood out and made a huge difference for us.
We also booked the photo booth through them, and that was a huge hit. Everyone at Black Tie Entertainment was incredibly accommodating, helpful, and easy to work with throughout the entire process.
One thing that really stood out was how much Eddy went above and beyond. He took photos and videos throughout both the ceremony and reception, including some shots of the setup before guests arrived, which was such a nice surprise. Since we didn’t have a videographer, it meant a lot that he captured moments like our first dance and everyone enjoying the dance floor. He caught some really memorable, funny, and behind-the-scenes moments that we’ll truly treasure.
He was professional, genuinely kind, and easy to work with the entire time. Everything leading up to the wedding was great, but the execution truly exceeded our expectations. We feel incredibly positive about our experience with Black Tie Entertainment and would absolutely use Eddy Bobby and their team again. -

First I will tell about our experience with black tie, and then our DJ, Mike.
Black tie was very accommodating from the start. On the initial call, they wanted to know us and have a little background in addition to the typical budget, music, set up questions. Them prioritizing knowing us as individuals and as a couple made going with black tie as easy decision. They will work within any requests, budget, or other things you wish to include to make your day special.
After the initial call we met with three DJs and all were very impressive with a wealth of experience. While we truly believed we couldn’t go wrong with any of them, one in particular stood out—Mike Interdonato.
We connected with Mike on a personal level right away. Again, he took the time to get to know us as people and our interests. Mike showed a true genuine desire to go above and beyond his duty to serve as our DJ by befriending us and being apart of the celebration. I think this made a world of difference when it came to music selection and keeping the party lively. Mike was able to effortlessly capture the vibe and atmosphere we wanted from pre-ceremony music, to the cocktail hour, to dinner music, to the reception/dance time.
Mike’s talent is in his understanding of music, live event planning and most importantly people. Mike balances these three pillars of a wedding all at the requests made by the couple and makes sure that their vision is not only met but enhanced. His music and event knowledge is evident right away as we agreed with the vast majority of his suggestions to keep the flow of the wedding smooth. What really makes him stand out as a DJ and puts him in a league of his own is his priority was always us, not the music, or the guests, etc. he wanted to make sure we had the unforgettable day all couples deserve.
To combat this review just looking like a happy groom who connected with his DJ. Constantly throughout the night I was given compliments on how good the DJ was and what they liked most, be it a song that was played pre-ceremony, the transitions from song to song, etc. several people said it was the best DJ they have ever experienced at a wedding.
Our wedding was a very special day where we felt the love and joy of all our family and friends. Mike was an integral part to make it as special as it was. We will strongly recommend black tie services to anyone that is looking for an event DJ, especially Mike Interdonato.
We plan to keep in touch with Mike and if we ever need an MC we know who we are calling.

First of all, Black Tie Entertainment was extremely easy to work with. From the initial call to our final meeting to day of details, I did not have to worry about anything! Chris was THE BEST MC I have ever seen. He did such an amazing job picking songs that kept the party going. I was told by our entire 20 person wedding party and countless guests that it was the most fun wedding they have ever been to. I cannot recommend BTE or Chris enough! He even did a great job managing drunk guest’s song requests with professionalism and in a way that aligned with what my husband and I wanted. The dance floor was packed all night. He kicked off the party by asking everyone to grab someone they loved to dance with—a sweet, personal touch that immediately set the tone for the night. Anthony was amazing from our very first meetings leading up to the wedding all the way through the wedding day. He was professional, easy to communicate with, and truly understood the vibe we wanted. We received so many compliments from our guests about the DJ and the energy he brought to our celebration—we truly couldn’t have asked for a better DJ.
The photobooth was also a huge hit! The attendant was fantastic and made sure everything ran smoothly throughout the night. We especially loved the option to custom-create a logo for the photobooth strips—it was such a fun, personal touch and made the keepsakes even more special.
Overall, the entire experience exceeded our expectations. -

From the very beginning, Mike was fantastic from a planning perspective, offering thoughtful recommendations on the flow of the night and helping us shape a timeline that met our vision and felt stress-free. He truly listened to our preferences and took the time to understand the vibe we wanted for the day.
Throughout the night, Mike did an incredible job incorporating our music choices, adjusting in real time based on feedback, and seamlessly managing all of our requests. As an MC, he was confident, polished, and kept everything flowing smoothly, which allowed us to fully enjoy the evening without worrying about what was coming next.
What really stood out was how well Mike read the room—especially toward the end of the night. He absolutely nailed the close-out, keeping the energy high and the dance floor packed until the very last song!

We used Black Tie Entertainment for their DJ and photo booth services at our wedding in November, and if we could give 10 stars, we would!
DJ Mike was absolutely phenomenal. He was so responsive, personable, friendly and FUN. He guided us every step of the way, truly listened to what we wanted, and brought our vision to life. DJ Mike also worked closely with our saxophonist to seamlessly incorporate him into the wedding day entertainment. We felt incredibly lucky to have DJ Mike! Our dance floor was always full, and several of our family and friends asked for our playlist after the wedding.
The photo booth was equally incredible. The attendant was professional and kind, and we loved that it offered both photo strips and a video feature. It was such a fun addition for our guests.
Our day truly wouldn’t have been the same without Black Tie Entertainment and DJ Mike. We highly recommend and we are so grateful!

Black Tie Entertainment was fantastic. Very clear booking and details for what the DJ would provide and be responsible for during our Wedding. Our DJ Chris was phenomenal. I had the BEST experience with Black Tie Entertainment working with Matt and Chris. Right away, Matt was so responsive in wanting to meet and hear about what we were looking for in DJ services. He was extremely thorough, organized, and detail oriented every time we met, and continued to be responsive throughout our entire planning experience. If I had any questions, he emailed back right away offering to jump on a call to help. Additionally, he went out of his way to purchase a fog machine and operate it himself for our wedding! It's so clear that he genuinely cares about his clients and will go above and beyond!
When Matt introduced me to Chris, I knew right away he was going to be the best. He is so friendly and relaxed, yet thorough and extremely professional. We met several times in detail to confirm the timeline and songs, and he was so helpful to bounce ideas off of. He truly made that part of the planning process so much fun and made me so excited as I knew we were in good hands. He absolutely crushed it on our wedding day - from the songs and transitions to instructing the guests, he captivated the whole crowd with his energy - everyone was on the dance floor the ENTIRE time!!
Lastly, their online planning tool was such a life saver for someone who is detail oriented. It was so nice to see every song we had lined up with our timeline from the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner and reception - it was so easy to use and organized - truly took such a weight off!

We are so happy we went with Black Tie Entertainment for both our DJ and Coordinator services. John (DJ) and Victoria (coordinator) worked as a team and made sure that the night progressed smoothly and that the dancefloor stayed full and lively. We had multiple meetings with both of them in the lead up to our big day, and they were both extremely responsive and understood our vision for the music and the reception vibe. The Black Tie online portal was also extremely useful in planning the music and creating a day-of timeline.
John was super helpful with his suggestions for music and recommendations on how we should structure the flow and energy for different parts of the day (pre-ceremony, ceremony, cocktail, dinner, dancing). Victoria joined us for our venue walkthrough and our rehearsal and coordinated with all our vendors which took so much stress off of our backs. She made sure our reception space looked beautiful and was there from the setup and meeting vendors to the very end of the night with packing up our guestbook and cards to make sure they made it home with the correct person. She also made sure our guests with different needs (breastfeeding mothers, dietary restrictions, needing to take meals in different locations) were appropriately accommodated throughout the night.
They were both professional and ready throughout the day for anything (including keeping calm during a fire alarm and venue evacuation!), and our day was perfect. I would highly recommend both of them and Black Tie Entertainment. -

Our experience working with DJ Eddy Bobby (and Black Tie Entertainment) for our wedding was extremely smooth and easy. From the first booking call, I knew Black Tie would be the company for us - they were thorough, affordable, and fun! We are so grateful that we got Eddy as our DJ. He is full of knowledge, stories, and experience and we were always confident we were in good hands. Eddy was very professional and thoroughly gauged our interests in his level of involvement, technical needs, and what kinds of music we liked. Even when we under-prepared for a meeting with him, in a few quick questions it seemed he knew our music preferences better than we did. During the wedding, Eddy was punctual and prepared, and several of our guests let us know how they loved him. We learned after the wedding that at one point, one of the guests tried to use a microphone to make some sort of announcement and Eddy was quick to intervene and stop the guest. After the wedding, he even sent us a google drive folder full of photos/videos he took during the wedding, which was a nice surprise! I couldn’t recommend Black Tie or DJ Eddy Bobby more. You will be in good hands!

My wife and I hired Eddy as the DJ for our wedding and it was such a phenomenal experience. If you are looking for a wedding DJ who is thoughtful, easy going, and also knows how to host a PARTY – he is your guy.
The Planning Process: It was just so easy. In the planning process, he asked all the right questions to get to know our taste better – what we like, what we don’t, what kind of vibes we are going for at the wedding. We met multiple times and we just felt like we were well taken care of all the way leading up to wedding day. We especially appreciated how much care Eddy had. He took the time to both understand and clarify what we meant on certain things given that we were not from the U.S. and Eddy wanted to make sure there were absolutely no misunderstandings in terms of what we were going for. We have members of the wedding party with Chinese names and he took multiple efforts practicing with us (both in planning and then again on day of wedding) to make sure he knew how to pronounce them accurately – something you don’t really see much anymore from people.
The Wedding Day: Day of also couldn’t have gone more smoothly – from both the audio equipment perspective and also how he managed the flow of the reception as the MC. Having recently been an officiant at another wedding, it was night and day in terms of Eddy’s level of preparedness. As the officiant at another wedding, I was chasing down the DJ for my lapel mic and making sure we tested audio in time before the ceremony, whereas at my own wedding Eddy had it all thought out and ready for my officiant at the exact right time. Audio was clear throughout the day and there were absolutely no technical glitches during the ceremony and after. Lastly, Eddy had a great balance in terms of energy and professionalism being our MC at the ceremony. We loved his vibe.
The Party: IT WAS SO MUCH FUN. Eddy was great balancing our playlist and also reading the room throughout the night. The dance floor was packed the whole time. It was awesome how Eddy was able to smoothly start off the night a little easier so the parents and older guests could partake in the dancing coming right after the couple and parents dances, before eventually building up to a full-blown party for us and our friends.
Eddy was such an integral part of our wedding and would recommend him to anyone who is looking for an awesome DJ to be a part of their wedding day! -

We are so grateful we chose Rick Pfamatter from Black Tie Entertainment as our wedding DJ. From the very beginning, Rick stood out as someone who truly understands the wedding industry and how music, timing, and flow can make your wedding vision come alive. He listened closely to what we wanted, never judged any of our choices, and immediately “got” the vibe we were hoping to create. It also helped that he had family members who had gotten married at our venue, the Boathouse at Sunday Park, and had DJ’d there many times before.
Rick was incredibly accommodating throughout the planning process, including multiple meetings so he could connect directly with our wedding coordinator. His preparation showed, and we were amazed at how seamless and effortless everything felt from a Master of Ceremony point of view.
On the wedding day, Rick was phenomenal. Even with our small wedding of 70 guests, he kept the dance floor full all night. Several guests came up to us unprompted to say he was the best DJ they’d ever heard at a wedding. His song transitions and fades were “legendary,” as one of our guests said.
What really set Rick apart, though, was his respect for our wishes. At one point, our families asked him to change the order of speeches and add a surprise acapella performance. Rick came straight to us to confirm before making any changes, staying flexible while still prioritizing what we wanted.
Choosing Rick was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding planning team. He is talented, professional, FUN, and genuinely invested in making your day feel like your day. We can’t recommend him highly enough.
