Black Tie Entertainment is an excellent choice if you want great DJ services for your wedding. They have an online portal where you can choose all the songs or types of songs you want (or don't want played). Your DJ also helps you figure out your timeline and they know exactly how to time things to keep the day flowing perfectly. We chose Gene Griffin as our DJ and he was excellent! We are not huge dancers and were looking for someone we could rely on to watch the crowd and figure out the best songs to play and he did just that! Guests were enthusiastically on the dance floor all night! Gene has a great personality too, he always came across as excited to talk to us during the planning to help us choose the best songs for our key moments! And on the day of, he was super nice and professional. His DJ expertise made our day very stress free and so enjoyable. Thank you again Gene! -

Andrew Nelson was our DJ and he made the night go easier for us than I could have ever imagined. He worked flawlessly with our coordinator and brought a presence to the wedding that was exactly what we were looking for. He played great music and kept energy high. We never once had to wonder why he hadn't done something or when he would do something. He executed perfectly. I saw more people dancing at our wedding than any I had been to and the dance floor was populated all night. -

DJ Matt Johnson was our DJ from Black Tie and we could not be happier with how the night went! DJ Matt was efficient, extremely knowledgeable (about music and weddings in general), and easy to work with. During our reception he could quickly read the room and adjust to fit the overall vibe and keep the night running smoothly. At our wedding in particular, dinner went much faster than expected and he asked our permission to open the dance floor early. We trusted his judgement so much and let him have a lot of leeway from our end, but really appreciated that he always checked with us first before making any changes. There was not a moment the dance floor was empty --he played fantastic music all night! He cares very much about his work which was shown through his attention to detail (we very much appreciated how concerned he was with pronouncing everyone's names correctly)! After the wedding, our guests would not stop talking about how great the DJ was! During our wedding planning all we really wanted was "good food, good drinks, and good music" and DJ Matt gave us fantastic music! It was so fun working with him, he is an awesome guy, and I would recommend him to anyone! -

It’s hard to overstate how much of a pleasure it was working with Black Tie and our DJ. With all of the predictable challenges that come with planning a wedding, it felt like a relief to work with a company is on top of what they do and pays attention to the finer details. Some big topline things to start: very reasonably priced wedding packages, ability to set up music in multiple spots throughout a venue, user friendly self-service portal that allows you to pick out all of your requested/ceremony related songs, and the option to add on one of their own in-house day of coordinators (shout out to Becca, she was amazing!).
Working specifically with Chris as our DJ was a great and effortless experience, and from all the options there are in the area, I feel like we really lucked out with him. Throughout the whole process he was very professional and communicative, but also very easy to get along with, and it felt that he was as invested in the success of the event as we were. He was very detailed oriented. Every meeting we had with him, he would always take the time to methodically review the timeline of our wedding details hour by hour to make sure that we had every necessary detail throughout the day accounted for. The reception was a real high point. After smoothly MC’ing through all of the wedding party intros, ceremonial dances, and speeches, I just remembered Chris put on Dancing Queen to start the dancing and became an absolute vibe magician throughout the rest of the night. That dance floor never went empty the rest of the night, and he deserves an immense amount of credit for making that happen. If you’re still looking for a DJ, look no further!

Black Tie Entertainment was essential in making our wedding day perfect! Our DJ, John Lukehart, was fantastic to work with and made sure our guests were on the dance floor as soon as it opened until the end of the night. He was an amazing master of ceremonies and worked with us to make sure that the music throughout the day was exactly how we envisioned it to be! -

Everyone always says their DJ was great, but Black Tie - specifically Rick! - takes that to a whole other level. My husband and I had some pretty specific ideas about music and wanted our wedding to cover multiple genres throughout the night (from a classical ceremony to a jazzy cocktail hour to an EDM reception). Rick was extremely accommodating to our requests, and the tool that Black Tie uses kept us really organized. We definitely felt involved and well-informed the entire time, and knew that there wouldn't be any surprises come the big day! Lastly, Rick is an awesome human being and we loved working with him SO much. We cannot recommend him enough!! -

All I will say is, our event went down without a single bump in the road and the DJ was spot on adding some fun and comic relief when needed and acted professional and approachable at all times. Love Black Tie Entertainment and their whole platform! My husband and I were continuously impressed by how organized this group is and how helpful their online portal was that allows you to pick out your music, edit your timeline, etc. They met with us multiple times to help guide us through the process.
Now DJ Rick Pfamatter was just the best choice for our wedding—he was so friendly and helpful guiding us through the process in our meetings beforehand, and on the day of, he made our wedding day SO much fun and just run smoothly. It gave us great confidence that he was so committed to providing the wedding day we wanted, and he delivered!
These guys are at the top of their game, worth every penny! -

We worked with DJ Eric and he was our favorite vendor to work with. We really valued Black Tie Entertainment's organization and processes. We trusted the value they would provide, and Eric really got to know us as a couple and what we wanted our wedding to be like. Music choices were 10/10 and our guests and we had so much fun!! -

Chris from Black Tie was the perfect DJ at our wedding! Every song he played got a great reaction from all of our guests and the dance floor was packed the whole night long. We were matched with Rick as our DJ and he was amazing! He had a great sense of music, very friendly, and can take command of the room when needed. He listened to all of our special requests and was flexible with our timeline. It rained on our day and the live violinists we had planned on for the ceremony could not play due to their instruments getting wet so DJ Rick took the initiative to set up his equipment in the rain as a back up. Although we ended up doing our ceremony inside, I still really appreciated his efforts. Would highly recommend! -

We worked with DJ Mike from Black Tie Entertainment and I genuinely couldn't imagine someone else providing the entertainment for our cocktail hour and reception. From the beginning, he was attentive, fun, professional, and really cared about what we were looking for. I did not have a planner to recommend entertainment so I went off reviews and what I felt in my gut. I knew from the first phone call Mike would deliver and was the guy for us. He knew exactly how to read the room and dance floor and it was truly filled the entire night. I wanted to make sure there was a mix in genres that all ages could dance too/have heard since we had a mixed group, and he provided exactly that!! I had multiple guests come up to me and say the music is incredible. You will not regret booking with DJ Mike! He is a fantastic DJ and wonderful person all around!!! -

I would highly, highly highly recommend James from Black Tie Entertainment. He was incredibly professional, prompt and organized. We had multiple meetings over zoom before the big day and he coordinated with the venue completely independently. During the evening, he didn't miss a beat. The energy and timing was perfect the whole night through. He was even able to manage some tricky quiet hours restrictions from our venue without anyone even noticing. We had an incredible time thanks to James and I can't thank him enough. -

Eddy was the DJ for our ceremony and reception. He did everything we asked for and more. At each point of the event, he managed to keep the volume EXACTLY where we wanted it, and kept the dance floor going until the very end. In the days leading up to the wedding, he was reachable and really LISTENED to everything we said! Highly Recommend! -

John and Angelica's communication through our entire wedding procesws was off the charts!
Angelica was such a wonderful DJ, and helped Zach and I plan our perfect day! She was very kind, professional, and was willing to be flexible when we had a couple of changes during our wedding day!

Black Tie entertainment was a company we saw at several of our friends' weddings over the last two years. They came highly recommended to us from those couples. We got to meet Mike, the DJ for those weddings, at another event and clicked quickly. He's professional, clear with his vision, and flexible. Cost is a major consideration for any wedding, and Black Tie was very open to working with us and helping pick and choose services to make the wedding exactly what we wanted. Prior to speaking with Mike, we were still unsure of our timeline and how we would cram everything in, but after one meeting with him we suddenly felt much more confident and secure. Outside of just cost, he was also interested in our wedding's vibe, and worked hand in hand with us to craft the "feeling" of the wedding. We didn't want to just have club music, and he helped put together playlists and signals for major events of the wedding. We got hit with a heatwave in the week leading up to the wedding and had to adjust a lot of plans very quickly, and he was quick to adapt to changing circumstances, and worked hand in hand with our coordinators and other vendors to ensure everything went smoothly. He was a great MC, he helped keep things on track the entire night, and he didn't miss a single cue or have anything run late. He checked in with us prior to and during the ceremony, and overall was instrumental in making the wedding work. Could not recommend him and Black Tie enough, absolutely made our wedding a success and kept the dance floor packed despite the weather. -

This company was very professional and did amazing at our wedding in June. There were multiple DJs to choose from. Once we chose our DJ there were multiple meetings prior to the event and the DJ was very helpful in planning the music etc for our wedding. Unfortunately prior to our event our DJ got sick, and Black Tie was very responsive and immediately provided a back up DJ that also did an amazing job. Very responsive to crowd, and knowledgeable.
