  Wonderful service!

  Amazing service! Noe and his team are great. The food was delicious and all of our guest really enjoyed it. From our appetizers, to dinner, everything tasted so good! The food they served at our wedding was very fresh and authentic it definitely exceeded our expectations. The way they presented the food and decorated the buffet tables was very detailed. Definitely recommend them for any event, big or small!

  We used BTA for a birthday party and planned a month in advance. They were very helpful throughout the whole process sending us menus and printed out proposals for our own records. They showed up on time and prepared setting up quickly and professionally. We ordered appetizers and a full prime rib dinner with smoked turkey for the entree. It was amazing! There wasn't one unhappy person out of 60-70 people. They had the food ready at the planned times and were very professional. The layout was beautiful and they set everything up perfectly. After the dinner was over they collected all of the trash and didn't leave a single piece. It was such a great party and couldn't have done it without their service. I highly recommend using black tie affair for your next event. I know I will be using them again!

  If you want delicious food and great service, hire Black Tie as your caterer! Our guests raved about the great selection of food and how tasty everything was. My husband and I are glad we hired them because of the variety of food they served and how much they served; no one left hungry. The staff was very flexible and accommodating to what we wanted; vegetarian options for some guests, and even though the corn-on-the-cob bar they planned was great, we decided it was too messy. They easily changed it to a mashed potato bar, original and sweet potato with all the toppings. They even paid attention to the finer details. We not only paid for the food and servers, but also plates, silverware, table linens, bartenders, and cocktail tables.

  I'm sorry the other review had such a bad experience.
  Mine with Black Tie Affair was wonderful.
  My mom and I met with Roger several times and he is without a doubt my favorite vendor from my wedding.
  We were able to choose our plates, silverware, linens and more all at reasonable rental prices.
  We chose to do a buffet dinner to give our guests a choice.
  Both the Appetizers at the cocktail hour and the food at dinner got rave reviews from our guests.

  Black Tie Affair's food was fabulous, service was great, and they couldn't have been more professional.
  
  As a bride on a budget, I got several quotes from vendors in the San Antonio/Spring Branch area. Most of the caterers exceeded my maximum budget (one went over by $18,000!) without bringing much to the plate. I decided to go with Black Tie because the menu looked delicious and they were able to fit everything I wanted within my budget.
  
  My menu consisted of a full array of appetizers (pulled pork tacos, shrimp diablo, homemade guacamole, and chips with queso and salsa). For the dinner portion, Black Tie served cheese enchiladas, beef and chicken fajitas, tamales, fruit, and salad. Everything was delicious!
  
  My guests were still calling weeks after the wedding asking who the caterer was, noting especially the pulled pork tacos and enchiladas. I wish I hadn't gone on my honeymoon the day after because I would've really enjoyed the leftovers!
  
  All in all, I was more than satisfied with my experience with this caterer and would definitely recommend them to my friends and family members.

  Awful! Just awful! After getting frustrated with the continuous increase in the price per person I was asked how much I wanted to spend per person. I told them between $25-30 and they came back with a quote at $34/person. And this was just for three stations, not a sit down meal. I had sushi rolls and sent a list of kinds I liked, was told the price would go up and that I would have an assortment of rolls. They served vegetarian rolls and California rolls. What was worse was that they set up at 5:30 and guests did not leave the ceremony until 7:30! And they had the sushi out in the Texas June heat the entire time! The rice was not fully cooked on the outside of the rolls and was crunchy! They offered wasabi and soy but no dishes to put it in so that you could dip your rolls. They had no chopsticks. The smoked meats station had condiments that were congealed on top from sitting out and not being either replaced or stirred. Everything was hot that should have been cold, there were no ice beds beneath anything. When my Mom told them about the rice not being cooked and thus the rolls being inedible unless you only ate the center out of them they THANKED her for her feedback and offered no apology or compensation/refund! Overpriced GARBAGE!

  We booked 1 year in advance for a trip to Port A for 4 days/3 nights with this company. When i called to verify our reservations in Sep we were told too bad - someone else booked after us - owner's family - and they would not honor our dates. They gave us the option to reserve for next year but i have to wonder if they will honor that either. This was supposed to be a 60th birthday gift. What a let down for a company who is in the service business.

  Our experience with this caterer was a nightmare-they advertise themselves as making cuisine to fit every budget and 'the success of your event is our main concern.' This is untrue. BTA is mismanaged, food is unsatisfactory and overpriced. We met and went over our vision, menu (simple, fresh, Italian) and talked about budget-were told it was no problem to meet our expectations. We set a menu and we put down a deposit based on the proposal. The food at our wedding was bad to say the least-tortellini so overcooked it was falling apart and the sauce was not what we had been given as a tasting sample a few weeks prior. It tasted like chef boyardee, watery and flavorless. On our menu was seared, balsamic glazed salmon. What they served was baked, dry salmon with a thick sauce that had a hint of barbecue. Lastly, the caprese salad was wrong-they served us a platter of mealy tomatoes, mozzarella and shredded, wilted basil. There was no olive oil or balsamic vinegar & when we asked for this, the cook drenched the platter in salad dressing. This plate is pictured on their website, a blatant misrepresentation of their food quality. These 3 errors were especially disappointing considering the amount of money we paid, the time we spent discussing the specific yet simple details of our menu. The bartender did not serve all the beer, telling people she ran out. Our dads had to drag out the extra cases during the reception because she didn't restock the bar. We paid for cake cutting services that were not performed. I called the company the next day to express my disappointment and requested to speak with the owner. No one returned my calls, though we were refunded for cake cutting. I have waited for the company to make things right before writing this review, but they have not.
