  Beautiful Wedding Florals!

  Julie was an absolute pleasure to work with and I would highly recommend her for wedding florals. Julie took the time to meet with me a month before our wedding to finalize the vision and make last minute edits and then she prepared a full design doc with all the necessary details. I was blown away at the florals on our wedding day - it made the day even more special!

  Incredible wedding florals

  I absolutely loved working with Julie from Bittersweet Gardens. Not only is she incredibly kind and professional, it’s clear she is extremely passionate, knowledgeable, and dedicated to her craft. I know almost nothing about flowers and after a quick phone call and meeting at her studio, she created the most beautiful arrangements for my winter wedding. In addition to bouquets and centerpieces for both cocktail hour and reception, Julie created arrangements to decorate the large wooden staircase at our venue, The Red Lion Inn in Cohasset, MA. Our ceremony was held at the base of this staircase. The combination of florals and lanterns was the absolute perfect addition to this space. The next morning we used our centerpieces at our goodbye brunch. Our guests must have loved them just as much as we did because a few took them home! I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend!

  Incredible florist

  I reached out to Julie of Bittersweet Gardens after one of my favorite local flower farms recommended her. It was the best decision! Julie really knows her flowers, and I was attracted to working with her particularly because she sources most of her flowers from her own garden or other local farms. She was so receptive to my ideas and she shared her expertise when I had certain design questions. I gave her a color palette that I was hoping could be used for our wedding. About three weeks before my wedding during our final walkthrough, my mother and I identified several areas around the venue that needed more florals. Julie was very flexible in addressing these requests while remaining honest about what was and was not feasible. In a year when all vendors were struggling with staffing and resources, she and her team worked tirelessly to give me the florals of my dreams. She exceeded all my expectations in finding the most beautiful flowers, creating amazing arrangements, bouquets, and the most beautiful arbor. Even my photographer, who has attended many weddings, remarked several times at how beautiful my flowers were. I’m so thankful I had the chance to work with Julie for my wedding.

  Stunning look

  We had a wonderful experience working with Julie. She listened very thoughtfully and was quick to make suggestions that we ended up loving based on very vague descriptions. The flowers at the wedding looked gorgeous. And her farm!! It’s so great that she grows so many of her flowers. It makes everything feels more personal and special. Highly recommend!

  Julie did our flowers for our wedding on Cape Cod last month and I was so happy with every piece and every detail. When I was introduced to Julie and saw her beautiful studio I was immediately impressed! She listened to every detailed request I had for types of flowers, centerpieces, colors and she worked with me to make it all a beautiful reality. I appreciated that she took the time to really help me see what my options were and talk through the kinds of flowers that would be available, what would work, etc. I am a big Grateful Dead fan, and she even helped me find scarlet begonias for my bouquet! So special and everything turned out just as we had planned together. Highly recommend Julie at Bittersweet Gardens!

  Loved My Flowers & Working with Julie

  I was blown away by the flowers for our wedding. I had no vision when I first spoke to Julie. She took my very non-descript color palette and loose idea of what I had wanted and created the most wonderful vision board. Our in person meeting in her studio was incredibly helpful to narrow down how we wanted each piece to look. The bouquets were stunning and the clusters of flowers at each table were understated in size but very vibrant in color which is what we wanted. The burgundy and wine color of the dahlia's played so nicely off of our very classic all white accessories. Others have mentioned an "organic feel" and I 100% agree - the flowers did not look like the cookie-cutter bouquets you typically see, but you can tell each flower was carefully chosen to create a unique look. Julie was great about working with our budget and the flower delivery on the day-of went off without a hitch. Even almost a month later, I am still dreaming of those flowers and how they completed the design details of the day. Thank you Julie & team for everything, it was wonderful working with you!

  Julie was recommended by my wedding planner and I couldn't have been happier! We planned florals for a 150 person wedding, which quickly turned to 25 people amidst the pandemic. Julie was incredibly gracious and pivoted seamlessly, designing small but impactful pieces like two floral columns that were used for the ceremony and then repurposed for our sweetheart table. I am obsessed with my bouquet- it was exactly what I wanted, and Julie elevated my original idea to make it truly special. I am so glad we're working together again next year!

Julie was very responsive from the first conversation we had, making adjustments along the way to our plan, and I appreciated her initial quote and visual proposal that tracked very closely with what I was looking for. It made it very easy to discuss exactly what I liked and didn't. The arrangements Julie built onto the copper Chuppah we rented from her were beautiful, and she provided all the candles and other decorations we used. I looked at several other florists before going with Julie and am glad I did. Her prices were very reasonable, she grows most of her own flowers, and she didn't try to tell me I needed to do something a certain way. I highly recommend Julie and Bittersweet!

  I cannot say enough nice things about Julie. She is so friendly and welcoming that as soon as we had our first phone call I knew I wanted her to be our florist. Our guests could not stop raving about how beautiful everything was! We had specific vases (beakers and flasks) that we wanted in mind and she made them all work perfectly. Even our hair and makeup artist (who has worked many weddings) was commenting on how unique and beautiful the bouquets were. Loved everything about my experience working with Julie!

  We had so many beautiful flowers at our wedding thanks to Bittersweet Gardens! Julie was great and so easy to work with. Her style was exactly what I was looking for and I love that she grows her own flowers. My bouquet was so beautiful, and everyone loved our centerpieces. Julie was able to incorporate greenery in places we had asked for too, like the fireplace mantle at our venue, on the ceremony arch, and in the arrangements we had on the tables. I certainly recommend Bittersweet Gardens!

  Julie and her team at Bittersweet Gardens created florals for our wedding that were stunning and beyond our greatest expectations. Julie was so personable, kind, and easy to work with from the very start. After our first call, Julie provided us with a vision board, which was a great jumping-off point since we were fairly clueless regarding what we wanted. Bittersweet Gardens use of local and season-specific flowers was wonderful and I gasped when I first saw our bouquets. From our ceremony arbor to our centerpieces and the tablescape for farm tables that ran through the center of our reception room, Julie’s attention to detail shined and she and her team created exactly the casually elegant aesthetic we were looking for. Bittersweet gardens was definitely one of our most prized vendors and we would suggest them to anyone!

  How do you go about choosing florals and bouquets for a wedding? You have colors chosen and perhaps some flower preferences, but you are not the expert. So you have to trust someone / a professional who knows and can literally read your mind to produce and create something pleasing. Well, Julie from Bittersweet Gardens did just that........and her creations were breathtaking. From the first contact with Julie, she was like an old friend, trying to be helpful and available in any way possible. Her proposal was prompt and within our budget and she "tweaked" it so many times throughout the planning process. She traveled quite a distance to meet with us as the date drew nearer and made discrete suggestions based upon our conversations. We knew then she knew her business and would customize a masterpiece of florals to suit our tastes, colors and needs. The wedding was in Boston in the evening and the delivery process was quite challenging for her. She went out of her way to make drop offs to three different locations........braving traffic and congestion and the inability to even stop the car long enough to pass on the flowers. One vendor (a personal friend) declined to do our flowers when she realized the difficulty of navigating Boston on a weekend night. We couldn't have been more pleased with the final product, but just as important, we couldn't have been more comfortable with the process. Julie was available and instilled a sense of confidence in all of us through the whole process. Once we signed on with her, we knew she took pride in her artistry, went out of her way to please us, would provide personalized service, and would deliver an array of florals to make our wedding more than we'd imagined. I might add that my daughter's color scheme was different and challenging, but Julie made it happen and we are one happy bride, groom, and parents.

  I am beyond thrilled that we were able to work with Julie of Bittersweet Gardens for our wedding! I wish there were some event I'd do in the future where I would need to hire her again! From the first phone conference to the moment I saw the flowers at the ceremony and on the tables, she was a dream to work with. She was always pleasant, excited to hear my ideas, she was flexible, and even sought out specific vases that we were interested in. When she dropped off my bouquet at hotel, my mom and I could not be happier - it was BEAUTIFUL, and it captured everything I had described to her in our planning. I would have expected a much higher price for such incredible service and artistry! She is one of the best decisions I made for the wedding and I would happily hire her again!

  Julie was extremely professional and on-budget. She listened to my request and was responsive when I had to contact her with questions. I highly recommend Julie for flower arrangements, they came out very beautiful. I truly appreciate her detail-oriented arrangements!!!
