From the very beginning, Bittersweet Farm exceeded every expectation. My fiancée and I had been growing increasingly frustrated with other venues—whether it was high prices, hidden fees, or a lack of flexibility in creating the wedding experience we really wanted. At one point, we were so discouraged that we almost gave up on choosing a traditional venue altogether.
Then, through word of mouth, we kept hearing about Bittersweet Farm. Friends and others we spoke with had nothing but amazing things to say about the venue, the food, and the staff—so we decided to check it out. From our very first conversation, we knew this was the place.
Alexis Ferland and her team were incredible to work with. They went above and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful and affordable experience, showing flexibility and genuine care every step of the way. When we visited for our initial meeting, we instantly fell in love with the atmosphere. The rustic barn perfectly matched our vision and décor, and the beautiful grounds made it easy to picture our cocktail hour and wedding photos.
The food deserves special mention—our tasting experience was outstanding. Both we and our parents were beyond impressed; everything exceeded our expectations. On the day of the wedding, the team executed everything flawlessly, including accommodating special requests and food allergies without any issues.
Our wedding day was truly unforgettable, and Alexis and her team worked tirelessly to ensure every detail was perfect.

The perfect place to say I do
Our wedding at Bittersweet Farm was absolutely everything we dreamed of and more. Abigail went above and beyond and answered any questions leading up to the wedding right away. She truly made us feel so supported, cared for, and stress free during such an important time in our lives.
The venue itself was absolutely beautiful, and everything came together even better than I pictured it. Abigail helped bring our vision to life in every way possible and made the entire experience feel smooth and seamless. She paid attention to every little detail and continuously checked in on us throughout the wedding day to make sure everything was going perfectly.
We truly could not have asked for a better place to celebrate such a special day. We are so grateful for all of Abigail’s hard work, kindness, and dedication that made our wedding day so unforgettable.

Our Perfect Wedding Day
Bittersweet is an absolutely stunning venue, and our entire wedding experience there was seamless from the start. We planned our wedding in just four months, and both the planning process and the day itself were smooth, beautiful, and completely stress-free. Our private ceremony in the loft and our reception on the main floor felt effortless, and a huge part of that was thanks to our incredible day-of coordinator, Alexis. She was organized, calm, and genuinely invested in making sure every detail reflected exactly what we envisioned. The whole night unfolded beautifully, and she’ll always hold a special place with us for helping create a wedding day we’ll never forget. A Beautiful Venue with Exceptional Staff – Bittersweet Farm Made Our Day!
We couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate our wedding than Bittersweet Farm in Westport. The venue itself is absolutely stunning, with such a cozy, rustic charm—but what truly made the experience incredible was the staff.
Alexis did an amazing job keeping everything on track, even when our timeline started to slip a bit. She handled it all with calm, professionalism, and grace, which made a huge difference in keeping us at ease. The entire staff was equally fantastic—so kind, attentive, and responsive to last-minute needs. They were quick to accommodate allergy changes and made sure there was always fresh bread on the table for us (a small thing, but it meant a lot on such a busy night!).

Amazing venue!

Bittersweet Farm is Phenomenal
I can’t rave enough about RJ and the team at Bittersweet Farm. My husband and I had our ceremony and reception at BSF on Oct. 1, 2023. Leading up to the big day, I felt so much relief every time I spoke to RJ. He was always quick to respond to my MANY questions and always made me feel at ease.
I COULD NOT believe how much RJ and the team did for us the day of the wedding. Setting up the center pieces, décor, party favors, and memorial table (making me a drink as I nervously wait for the TIME to come). It was all beyond my expectations, everything looked more than perfect. Even making note of my favorite type of cheese for the appetizer table and making sure there was PLENTY of my fav. As well as bringing the wedding party, husband, and myself appetizers and drinks while we were getting photos taken. And the late-night snacks were to die for!
I went to multiple other venues across the south and north shore of MA. NOTHING compared to the quality of the venue and food (we went to the tavern at BSF before booking our tour, phenomenal). And the price was more than affordable compared to any other venue we went to. I almost thought there was some sore of catch to the affordable price. There wasn’t, they are just that great.
My guests are still raving about the food, beauty of the venue, and the hospitality of the team there. Thank you all for making our day better than we could have imagined. Special thanks to RJ, you really exceeded my expectations and I’m so grateful for how much care you put into every detail. I will never forget it!

Best Day Ever - August Wedding
My husband and I had our wedding at Bittersweet Farm in August, and it was the absolute best experience! From the planning to the actual execution of the event, we could not have been happier with how everything went. RJ was the most amazing day of coordinator; he was so attentive to our needs throughout the evening, and he was always prompt with answering our (many!) questions via email leading up to the big day. We cannot recommend him enough! The venue itself is beautiful and so easy to navigate for guests. The ceremony space outside with the gazebo was picture-perfect and our guests loved how the indoor space had the main floor and the balcony for them to explore. The food was delicious and the staff made it so easy to accommodate different dietary restrictions. At the end of the night, the staff and RJ had already packed up our decorations, etc. so it was easy to for us to enjoy the dance floor and time with family and friends up to the last minute of the event. We will be recommending Bittersweet Farm to everyone we know! Thank you so much for the best day ever!

The MOST Amazing Wedding Day!
Lauren and the staff at Bittersweet Farm provided my husband and myself the absolute best wedding day and experience ahead of the day itself! Lauren was incredibly helpful and flexible, answering our (many) questions during the planning process! All of the stress of planning a wedding was immediately alleviated upon Lauren coordinating our special day. The venue itself was beautifully landscaped and decorated exactly as we had envisioned. We could not have imagined a more perfect day to celebrate our love with our family and friends. Robert went above and beyond to ensure our day went as smooth as possible! He helped me every step of the way through planning the meals and seating arrangements, to holding my dress as I walk up to my ceremony, and checking on me through the night to make sure I ate, had a drink in hand, and stayed on schedule. How do you write a review that scores over a 10!
RJ at Bittersweet Farms was an outstanding wedding coordinator, the best family could ask for. From the first appointment, to the calls and emails, and days prior our wedding he was the most attentive guide throughout our event. On Friday night for our final walk through he helped us decide all those last-minute details that only the venue can help you with. RJ was informative, sensitive, and kind with every one of his suggestions. He even found a table cloth so the bride and groom could practice their first dance with the feeling of a gown on. So thoughtful! RJ even made an appearance at Merrill’s for the rehearsal dinner to check that all was going well. Day of the wedding, RJ knew just what to do and when to do it. From the moment we walked in to Bittersweet for our February 2023 wedding RJ, the staff, the bartenders, facility were spot on and things could not have been more perfect. Our set up and their set up looked amazing. Whenever I turned around RJ could be found being attentive to the wedding party and seeing that all our and our guests needs were being met. The appetizers and meals were delicious. As the evening wound down and the tired bridal party hopped on the busses everything was left behind and taken care of by the staff. On Sunday, RJ was there again helping us sort through or party supplies even as he prepared for an event that very same day. Enough said.

My husband & I have been fans of Bittersweet for a long time and decided to host our wedding reception here. We love the modern rustic atmosphere and all of the natural beauty surrounding the venue. Alexis and her colleagues were a pleasure to work with - very responsive and accommodating, even with last minute adjustments and requests, which made the experience stress free! We used both the grounds outside as well as the interior space. Everything was just as beautiful and perfect as we had hoped. And the food, beverages, and dessert were delicious! We chose Bittersweet Farm for the outside gazebo, the ambiance, and grounds. They did not disappoint. The owner even came out during our dinner to ensure everything was to pur liking. Beautiful wedding with great food
We had our daughters wedding reception in April 2022. We were concerned about it being crowded with 120 people. The staff at Bittersweet is amazing and so professional. We decided to add extra lighting and hired Lightworks Productions in New Bedford to wrap the beams in lights which added so much sparkle to the night. The place looked amazing and everyone still talks about how beautiful it was and how amazing the food was. Our coordinator Lauren came to me several times during the reception to see if we needed anything. She was so accommodating and eager to help with anything. We were so pleased with everything and would highly recommend Bittersweet Farm for the perfect romantic setting for a wedding reception.

Amazing Wedding Venue
I had an early ceremony on a Sunday morning and I am so glad I went with Bittersweet! First of all, the venue is absolutely beautiful with a rustic, barn-like appearance inside. I utilized the gazebo outside for my ceremony which worked wonderfully! Abby, the day of coordinator, was super helpful in making sure everything ran smoothly and looked perfect. She is super nice and easy to work with and truly cares about what you want! Due to my wedding being early in the day, she allowed me to arrive early and begin set up. There is also an option to drop belongings off if there is no event the night before which could be helpful! The food was delicious, the drinks were amazing, I don’t have anything I would have changed. Definitely would use this venue again and am so thankful all of the staff worked hard to made my big day so perfect!

Perfect rustic wedding
Bittersweet Farm was the first (and only) wedding venue I visited in person, and I immediately fell in love with it! I loved the rustic look of the barn and all of the wood beams & string lights upstairs - it’s so cute we barely needed any extra decor. Everyone was super helpful throughout the process, especially Lauren, our day-of coordinator. We decided at the very last minute (2:00 on the day of our wedding!) to do our ceremony outside, and she happily accommodated that. She set up all of our decor perfectly and made everything a breeze for us. Everything about my wedding here was so perfect - the food was great, drinks were amazing, and Lauren kept us on track and on schedule all night. Their wedding package pricing is also what swayed me - no other wedding venue that I researched came close to Bittersweet’s great prices! I highly recommend booking your wedding or event here :)

We Just loved Bittersweet Farms! Abby was the best making sure our day was just the way we wanted and a breeze. We were able to have the back up option of indoors due to rain the previous night and it took so much stress of. Because my husband and I were living overseas during the planning stages, she was so accessible via FaceTime. Our day was intimate, special, and a dream.

Perfect Night
Bittersweet Farm was such an amazing experience for us! We had a wedding of roughly 80 guests. Lauren was our coordinator and she was available for all of our needy questions. And she never was upset with us for having another one.
We got married on the hottest day of the summer. Bittersweet helped us to move our outdoor ceremony to the shade and recruited an arch and wine barrel for us as decoration for the alter. There was a golf cart available for our less physically able guests. The staff were so so accommodating. The bartenders were super friendly and skilled.
The food was phenomenal. The flow of the night was flawless. We had our dog in our ceremony and, as mentioned, it was super-hot. The staff walked her around and put out water bowls. They accommodated a very picky eater with a non-menu item. The little things that they did were quiet and small but added up to us having the perfect night.
The staff even joined us in a conga line by the end of the night. I would recommend this venue to anyone and everyone. We could not be happier.

Pandemic wedding planning was not for the faint of heart, but Lauren and the staff at Bittersweet Farm made this the best, easiest, least stressful event experience possible! Our guests are still messaging about how great everything was! We had to plan most of the wedding while living overseas and Kayla was very accommodating and exceptionally helpful throughout the process. In the end we couldn't have asked for a better day and all our guests are still raving about the venue and the incredible good. So happy we chose to get married here 🥰

Amazing venue and coordinator!
I had my wedding recently on September 29th and had the BEST experience! Krystol Gilbert was my day of coordinator and throughout my whole wedding planning process she was there every single step of the way! This girl really knows what she is doing! She made the entire venue gorgeous with all of our decorations and my entire day ran so smoothly! She’s very personable and caring and truly made me feel relaxed and comfortable on my big day! Bittersweet Farm is a gorgeous venue and the food and staff are amazing! We received so many compliments from our guests. I highly, highly recommend bittersweet farm for your wedding!

The most incredible day
Krystol... where do I even begin. Krystol and her team at bittersweet have given me and my husband the greatest gift. Planning a wedding from across the country was difficult. We live in Colorado so trying to arrange everything was a task, but Krystol went above and beyond to make me feel confident and secure in all my decisions, especially working with my mother who lives in Westport. This venue didn’t need much, it’s the perfect spot. I loved it so much I want To do it again! See you around Christmas Bittersweet!

Our coordinator Carla went above and beyond on our wedding day. I was able to arrive earlier then scheduled to be able to get ready onsite. She made sure all my D.I.Y items were in place and excluded the day beautiful. The venue looked beautiful all vendors were in place.

Where do I begin? Our wedding reception was what all our dreams were made of and more. The team at Bittersweet was excellent – responsive, precise, professional, accommodating and down to earth. One thing that is absolutely fantastic about Bittersweet Farm is how clear and seamless their process is once you choose them. We had looked at a few other venues but nothing compared to how transparent Bittersweet Farm was/is – their packages are easy to understand, reasonable and not to mention the food is absolutely delicious. Our guests still rave about the raw bar and their main courses. Also, Carla made sure my husband and I as well as our bridal party had appetizers and drinks throughout the cocktail hour as we were taking photos. She checked on my husband and I as well as our families frequently throughout the evening which is something you often don’t find with venues from what I’ve seen and heard.
Carla did wonderful assisting us throughout the process and she worked so well with my wedding planner maintaining contact with her without me ever needing to initiate (as well as our other vendors). I had a very specific vision for our wedding and the team at Bittersweet Farm did not flinch throughout the planning process. I am also somewhat of a perfectionist and I can honestly say Carla made me feel heard and at ease – I loved being able to text her with any questions or concerns at any hour. They worked so well with the vendors to bring my vision to life - I was speechless when I walked into the reception for the first time.
In terms of the atmosphere, the grounds at Bittersweet are beautifully maintained. The reception was one hell of a party (I specifically love that they offer 6 hours for reception – most venues are 5 hours with extra costs if you want your wedding to be longer). The team was with us right up until the end of the wedding and beyond midnight. I cannot say enough about how fantastic our wedding day was and we have absolutely no complaints – they exceeded our expectations. We are so thankful that we had such a beautiful wedding day thanks to Bittersweet Farm.

A must use!
I highly recommend using Bittersweet Farms. We dealt with two coordinators through the entire process. Kayla, who we talked to for our initial tour, was extremely nice and personable. Krystol was our main contact for basically everything else. She was a pleasure to work with. A huge help from beginning to end with absolutely anything we threw at her. The times when there was overlap between the two, it was always seamless.
The venue itself is fantastic. They have recently had the floors redone and put in new lighting. It is very clean and well maintained. The bar being located on the upstairs balcony gives your guests a fun viewing location for the festivities. The food is also delicious!!
The support staff are also rockstars. They were very professional, timely, and polite.
Again, I highly recommended using this venue for your big day!!

Bittersweet Farms was incredible. The wedding was beautiful with tons of great places for pictures, not to mention the gorgeous inside. The food is delicious! I have gotten endless compliments on the venue. Our day-of coordinator was Kayla and she was fantastic. I didn't have my own wedding coordinator and Kayla made sure everything went smoothly on the day and even before, she helped make me feel comfortable that everything was on track. I had an amazing time and am so glad we booked here!

From the moment we stepped into Bittersweet Farm, we knew this was the wedding venue for us. The venue itself is gorgeous inside and out. We had our wedding here this past Friday and had the pleasure of working with Kayla and her staff. Kayla was amazing throughout the entire wedding planning process! I had a million and two questions and Kayla always took the time to get back to me. She listened to all of the fine details that we wanted and everything was beautiful! Kayla made sure that champagne and appetizers were brought out to the wedding party during cocktail hour as we shot pictures outside in the field. Our family and friends couldn’t stop saying how gorgeous the place was and how wonderful everything turned out. We chose the baked scrod and Emma’s chicken for dinner entrees and they were both delicious! I would highly recommend this venue and working with Kayla!

Our wedding was perfect. Our coordinator, Carla was very helpful. The venue is absolutely beautiful. The ceremony was at the gazebo followed by cocktail hour on the patio. The reception was amazing. The lighting on the main floor is magical and romantic. All of the guests raved about the food and of course we enjoyed it as well. We would highly recommend Bittersweet Farm to anyone looking for a simple, romantic venue. Their all inclusive packages make it very easy to plan your night and the food was so delicious, we can't wait to go back for dinner!

I honestly do not even know where to start!! This was the first and ONLY venue we looked at and immediately fell in LOVE! I was looking for a rustic summer wedding and this was the PERFECT venue for us, We received so many compliments just on the venue alone. Carla was our wedding coordinator and she was by far the best!! I honestly felt like she was one of my best friends. She is so sweet, easy-going and go with the flow type of person who puts the bride and groom first and makes sure your day is exactly how you want it. Our ceremony was supposed to be outside, however mother nature did not allow for that. During the day of the wedding Carla kept in constant contact with me in regards to the weather and assured me no decision needed to be made until the very last minute. Unfortunately the rain never let up, so the ceremony was inside but Carla walked us all through the revised plan and she even lined the aisle with décor from Bittersweet (what we had planned outside we could not use inside). I provided her with everything we wanted at our reception as far as décor, ad she brought my vision to life- better than I had imagine. Carla truly went above and beyond for us and I could never thank her enough for all she did. As for the food- THE BEST!! Our guests raved about all the food- the raw bar was a hit! The bacon wrapped filet was cooked to perfection for all those who ordered it. The late night menu was a huge hit and our guest all left stuffed! Having delicious food and full bellies was very important to us.

We truly could not have chosen a better venue for our wedding. Not only was the look and feel very "us", it was also incredibly warm and cozy and intimate, while also accommodating our guests (about 90). The food was incredible, and so many of our guests found us later to tell us how wonderful the day had been and how much they had enjoyed the venue. Kayla, our day-of coordinator, was spectacular and made every step of what is, inevitably, an involved day, absolutely seamless. Thank you to the entire team at Bittersweet - you guys are truly awesome, and I could not recommend you more highly!

Guests remember location, food and drinks – and our guests raved about all of it at Bittersweet Farm.
We had the privilege to work with Carla. From the first phone call with her, we immediately connected. She loves what she does and truly excited to make a couple’s day special. Day of coordinator is underestimate of what Carla’s role was in the day. We could not have imagined the day without her. She worked with us on every detail. And I could not have dreamt of a more perfect setting.
The venue is a gorgeous farm with a large open field. We utilized the venue for ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. Guests were wowed by the venue. The farm is truly the total package and providing a unique picture-perfect setting.
And the food – phenomenal. No one left hungry that night. The guests could not say enough great things about the food. That is thanks to Carla! She worked with us to create that rave worthy menu while even providing suggestions to adapt to guest food allergies. Steve & I were genuinely excited for the food!
Carla and her team are first class. They watched over Steve and I throughout the night making sure we were all set. They treated us like family and we look forward to seeing them again when visiting the Tavern!
I never expect perfect but wow – it was sincerely a perfect day! There is nothing that I would have changed. Bittersweet Farm is a perfect location for a wedding or any other celebration. We are so lucky to have found it and found Carla! XOXOXO

We had our reception at Bittersweet Farm and were so happy with how everything turned out. We started by working with Michelle and then had Tina as our coordinator towards the end of the process. The day of or wedding we working with Tina and Carla who were absolutely amazing! They made me laugh and made me comfortable that everything would run smoothly. They set up all of my decorations and made it look better than I could have ever dreamed. We had so many guests who said they loved the venue. It was great to have access to all of the facility, the outside, the patio, and the upstairs loft because it have our guests different areas to visit throughout the reception. The food was delicious and the entire team so nice and accommodating. We couldn't have chose a better venue for our "Rustic Chic" wedding. It was classy but also relaxed and made for a great party to celebrate our marriage. I would recommend Bittersweet to anyone looking for this style for their reception and am so grateful that we had this beautiful barn with the amazing team to host our special day!

We had Carla as our coordinator, and definitely hit the jackpot with her! She was amazing in every way possible. She was always responsive, accommodating, and very sweet. We had our wedding ceremony and reception at Bittersweet on June 17, 2017. Everything was absolutely perfect. We worked with Michelle, one the the event sales managers and she was fantastic. I fell in love with Bittersweet Farm through pictures online; we only saw one other venue because Bittersweet was just too perfect. The food was delicious. The staff is amazing. Michelle helped us every step of the way, from giving us ideas for decorating, to changing the table set up, to adding two last minute RSVPs. She was always available to answer any questions and our day wouldn't have been the same without her! She set up all of our decorations/signs, put our seating tags out, checked on my husband and I throughout the night to see if we needed a drink or anything at all. 5 stars isn't high enough for this place. So happy we got married at Bittersweet!

My fiancé and I absolutely LOVED Bittersweet Farms in Westport, MA! I am familiar with the restaurant portion (the Tavern) as my family and I have eaten here many times. It's quaint, rustic, and beautiful - exactly what I was looking for! They advised that the max number of guests was 150 which is what I have on my guest list, hoping for less but I really didn't want to take a chance. It is a little bit small for the size of my wedding, unfortunately. The packages were definitely affordable and the venue is just absolutely gorgeous. If you are having a wedding with 130 guests or less, you should definitely have enough room. Any more than that I would be a bit nervous! Tina was AMAZING - so informative, professional; she 100% knew what she was doing. There is a lot included in the wedding packages compared to other vendors so please take that into consideration. If I had a smaller guest list, I would be getting married here!!!!!

Wow. Bittersweet was PERFECT from the moment we first toured the venue, to our cocktail hour, amazing dinner, dancing all night long...it was flawless. Carla was amazing to work with- I sent her loads of stressed out bride emails and she never wavered and always calmed my nerves... all of our guests commented on how it was the best food they have ever had at a wedding. We served Prime Rib and Chicken Madeira as entree choices, which everyone really liked. The appetizers were great too- stuffed mushrooms, mini grilled cheeses with tomato soup, coconut chicken, cheese platters and scallops wrapped in bacon. I cannot recommend this venue enough- it was worth every penny!

It is so easy to work with the staff at Bittersweet, they are all so nice and accommodating. We booked Bittersweet Farm for our daughter's wedding reception and on our daughter's wedding day everything went so smoothly. The wedding planner decorated the facility so beautifully with the decorations we dropped off and she worked seamlessly with our DJ to keep the celebration moving. Every time I had a question, I got an email back so quickly, and I honestly never felt like I was asking too many questions, or that my event was not important or a priority. Throughout our entire rehersal and wedding night, Carla took care of every little detail, I honestly did not worry about anything. Everything looked exactly like I wanted it too, and it could not have been more perfect. Even little details on our wedding day, like making sure we had a drink, and actually got to eat some of the food at cocktail hour, Carla was just so accommodating and really on top of everything. Even though the day was such a blur, we got such great feedback about our wedding and we will be sure to recommend Bittersweet to our family and friends :)

Bittersweet Farm is a wonderful option for those who want a wedding that feels less stuffy, more intimate and comfortable than your standard banquet hall wedding. We fell in love with the character of the venue (outdoor space with a lovely stone wall/gazebo area and beautiful, rustic grounds with converted barn for the meal) and were even more pleased to know their food is delicious. We recently celebrated our wedding at Bittersweet and had such an amazing time with everything going off without a hitch. I worked with Lindsay throughout the process and found her to be open to ideas, extremely informative, responsive and helpful. She was also very sweet and it was a comfort to know she would be the last one with me, fluffing my dress before I walked down the "aisle" (or grass path) toward my awaiting groom. She checked in with me over the course of the night and I felt like she had everything under control - and would have been right on top of something had there been an issue or problem.
Guests have told me what a wonderful time they had - enjoying the venue and the flexible options we were able to offer. We had a photo booth (such a hit!) and had rented lounge furniture for the Great Loft, and were happy to have an additional space outside of the main room to allow for movement and relaxation throughout the night. For warmer weather weddings, the patio is also a great location for those who want a break from the music of the main area.
I found the pricing to be fair and competitive and we were able to give a great experience to people without the hefty price tag of a Boston wedding. They were flexible with how we wanted to run the bar as well, which gave us the ability to host up to a certain dollar amount.
I really can't say enough wonderful things about our venue selection and how thrilled we are with how everything occurred. We will remember our special day forever, and Bittersweet was such an integral part of our positive experience.

We had looked at many places (12!) before we found Bittersweet Farm. It was the last venue we looked at and my husband and I absolutely fell in love. It is such a beautiful and unique, venue. It was the perfect intimate setting we were looking for. Amanda was our wedding coordinator and she was amazing!! She was always on top of everything, was very attentive, and helped make our day just perfect. We also worked with Lindsay sometimes when Amanda was off and she was also great, felt nice to know that there is amazing staff to help each other out and keep things going without missing a beat. Amanda was perfect with swapping out appetizers we liked for others we did not, and offered to make us a specialty drink for when we got off the limo!! The week of our wedding, we dropped off everything and then grabbed an appetizer downstairs in the Tavern (all of Bittersweet's food is AMAZING, another great plus of having a venue at a restaurant :) ), and I asked if they could make my specialty drink for the wedding so I could try it (we were going to offer it as a specialty cocktail to all the guests). Little did I know, Amanda came down and saw us, and told us our specialty wedding drinks were on the house! She brought tears to my eyes, and that is just an example of how caring everyone at Bittersweet was. Amanda made our wedding day go flawless, she was out with drinks and apps for the bridal party during pictures, and kept everything running smoothly. By the end of the night, I was worrying about how to clean everything up and so was my mother-in-law, but before we knew it after we said good-bye to everyone, the place was all cleaned up and all our stuff packed neatly!! Amanda even set aside some cake, popcorn and sliders for my husband and I for the night/morning. Having our wedding at Bittersweet was the best decision we ever made, people are still talking about how amazing our wedding was :)

We had our wedding at Bittersweet Farm on 8/29/15 and could not have asked for a better wedding venue. We had a wedding of 120 and Bittersweet was the perfect size. We had so many complements regarding the charm of the wedding venue. Carla was our wedding planner, and she was nothing but a pleasure to work with. She changed over to being our wedding planner close to our wedding date but she had no problem jumping in and she was so easy to communicate with. The week before the wedding, she would respond to emails and phone calls very quickly. The food was fantastic, everyone complimented stating how the prime rib and chicken were delicious and came out hot. We had a snag in our wedding day when an outdoor vendor who I had rented a great deal of wedding decorations failed to show up on my wedding day. Carla was pulling out decorations from closets and back rooms and really came through with trying to decorate our reception and ceremony space. They were also also with communicating with other vendors. I would absolutely recommend this venue to any bride
We had our wedding ceremony and reception at Bittersweet Farm. We wanted a summer wedding with air conditioning, unique character, a beverage package, plenty of parking and a plan b for rain. Bittersweet Farm was able to check all of the boxes. It was actually the first venue we visited, and after several other venue visits my fiancé-now-husband kept on comparing the venues to Bittersweet Farm. He is picky, so I knew it was meant to be at Bittersweet Farm. The venue itself takes care of the décor, from the wood beams, balcony and the floor to ceiling windows. The pricing was reasonable and straight-forward compared to other venues in RI and southern MA. Amanda, our planner, made sure to go above and beyond for us. She coordinated everything, even our rehearsal. She asked us if we wanted any special extras too (extra spread of appetizers and drinks in the loft as we waited for guests to be seated, special beer selections for our guests, a pizza for my husband at the end of the night, etc.) Bittersweet Farm made planning a wedding less of a nightmare by being all-inclusive and taking care of all of the set-up and teardown. We took our honeymoon right after the wedding and we were so pleased to see a thank you note and giftcard from Amanda in our mail when we returned! I definitely recommend Bittersweet Farm to any couple looking for a venue full of character and that will take care of everything for you!

We absolutely LOVED our venue. Amanda B was so helpful any time I emailed her in a panic (god bless her), and was SO on top of everything the day of, I didn't have to worry about a thing! We were married at Bittersweet Farms on June 26, 2015. The wedding was PERFECT and went off without a hitch thanks to Lindsay Bernard's help (who is one of the event coordinators at the venue.) Lindsay answered my every question and was cheerful, professional and friendly; she immediately put me at ease.
The day of the wedding everything was perfect. I had guests telling me that they had never been to a wedding so well put together or fun before! Guests are still raving about the food and how delicious it was (even my picky and hard to please guests!) Both bartenders were wonderful and interacting with the guests as well as catering to what we needed.
I would highly recommend Bittersweet Farms as your wedding venue if you are looking for a rustic chic vibe. I am so happy with our decision!

Tremendous location for a wedding. I cannot think of a better place to have had a wedding.
Venue: As mentioned, beautiful. For the ceremony, we had a few options. We could have had it either at the gazebo, the hanging trees, or the stone wall. We chose to go with the stone wall and it was perfect. The weather was beautiful and with the band playing in the gazebo nearby, 120+ people were able to watch us say our "I do's". After the ceremony, we had cocktail hour on the patio, a wonderful spot to mingle on a nice night. The reception took place inside the beautifully-lit, two-level barn. It was just right for our guests, who could see everything no matter where they were seated.
Food: WOW! Numerous people during the night came up to us to tell us just how great the food was throughout the night. The band went out of their way to let us know that it was "one of the best meals they have ever had at a wedding". For hor d'oeuvres, there was coconut chicken, bacon-wrapped scallops, and stuffed mushrooms. The dinner featured bread followed by a fresh Caesar salad, and a choice of one from: prime rib, salmon, and mushroom ravioli.
Entertainment: We had a band and when they (East Coast Soul, look them up!) started playing live, nobody wanted to leave the dance floor. Music came in great inside and the dance floor was spacious.
Service: Lindsay helped make this day as perfect as it was. She was AMAZING!!! My fiance and I have one wedding worth of experience...combined, so we really had no idea what to expect or what it would be like. Lindsay sat down with us a couple of weeks prior to the event and went over logistics, was responsive thru email, took us through the entire rehearsal, and was right by our side every step of the way on the day of the wedding. She is excellent at her job and even better at making you feel comfortable on the big day!
Overall, what a night and what a place. There is nowhere else we would rather get married!!!

We had chosen a day wedding. By far the BEST IDEA EVER! We had a brunch wedding ! Everyone loved the fact that they were able to have breakfast for lunch ! Who doesn't love that?! We cannot say enough about how wonderful Bittersweet Farms was! The venue is absolutely gorgeous and was the perfect spot for our rustic wedding. Amanda is a truly amazing coordinator for the venue and was so incredibly helpful throughout the entire process. We planned our wedding from out of state which made it a bit difficult at times, but she helped make the process as seamless as possible. She did an amazing job with everything and was a huge help the day of. The day went off without a hitch and we owe a great deal of that to her and the incredible staff at Bittersweet. Such a truly wonderful place to get married!

We had a wonderful wedding at Bittersweet Farm this summer. Everyone was so helpful with the planning and I didn't have to worry about anything on the big day. They were able to coordinate all the details with my vendors and everything went very smoothly. We had our ceremony and reception at Bittersweet and everything was perfect. The venue is beautiful with lots of character. The food was amazing - I get compliments from guests about it all the time. Bittersweet was very reasonably priced and was an excellent value in comparison to other venues I had talked to early on in the wedding planning. We were able to book hotel blocks at two nearby hotels for guests and having the complimentary shuttle from the Hampton Inn was a huge help and allowed our guests to have a great time and not have to worry about driving back! A huge thank you to Justin and everyone else at Bittersweet Farm who made our day so special!

We were pleasantly surprised with how Bittersweet handled our wedding throughout the whole process. Using advice given to us by others, we went into the process expecting some setbacks & hiccups along the way. However we didn't experience any. Brenden was available whenever we needed him and he really helped us on things we had no experience/references on doing. Courtney stepped in and made sure everything had gone as planned on our big day. Aside from a great venue, fantastic food, beautiful settings, the one thing that really stuck out in our minds was the service. Whether it was Brenden, Courtney, the servers or the Chef, they all portrayed a level of service that I can only compare to 5 Star establishments. It was comforting and was extremely important on our nervous big day.
The feedback from Friends & Family has all been extremely positive and we know we made the right decision having our wedding here. We are excited to have introduced Bittersweet Farms to the ones we love. Many guests have already told us they will be visiting Bittersweet again in the near future.

Bittersweet Farms was the perfect choice. I am the father of the Bride and my heart was so happy for my little girl. She had the perfect storybook wedding.
The place was absolutely wonderful. The grounds were incredible for the ceremony at the gazebo and the field & stonewalls made for the perfect backdrop for the pictures after the ceremony.
I am grateful for Corrie (the event planner), She was an absolute delight as she tended to us and helped with the many details. Her professionalism and genuine thoughtfulness was so wonderful that she felt like a part of the party. We didn't have to worry about any of the procedures and formalities because she made us feel as though everything was under control.
The Barn was decorated just the way the happy couple wanted and added so much of that "Country New England Charm". We opted for the Brunch. That was such a good idea, and the guests were excited for the unique wedding meal and they were not disappointed. The omelet station made it a custom meal which satisfied everyone. Not an easy task for a wedding party of 100 people.
Everyone who attended that day discovered what we already knew and that is that Bittersweet Farms is a Gem here in Southern Massachusetts.
Bittersweet Farms was the best choice for my daughter's wedding.

Bittersweet Farm was the perfect spot for our ceremony and reception. It provided the rustic feel we were looking for and it definitely fit into our budget. Our guests were raving about the food at the wedding, going as far as comparing the dinner to a 5 star restaurant in Boston. Corrie, the venue coordinator, was fabulous. She was attentive, informative and answered any and all questions. She went so far as providing me with her cell phone number the night before the wedding just in case anything came up and I needed to get in touch with her. She was 110% focused and ready to go the day of the wedding. The staff that worked the wedding was just as fabulous. I had a blast at my wedding, because the crew at Bittersweet made sure I didn't have a care in the world and everything went off like clockwork. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone.

Had our wedding on 5/12/12 at Bittersweet! I cannot say enough positive things about the staff/service/food! It was all fantastic ! Corrie was great to deal with and sooo helpful in everyway! All the servers and staff were fantastic and great to all our guests! The food is delish all of our guests complimented on the meal. We have 2 small children and they worked with us in everyway to accomidate our family and help the kids feel welcome. I highly recommend Bittersweet. The place itself is great, go in for dinner, try it out and see for yourself..that's what we did. The cozy atmosphere, the beautiful lawn & cool loft all made for great pics and a Fantastic night!

I had my wedding at Bittersweet 3 weeks ago and everything was perfect! We had an amazing evening. The whole night flowed smoothly. Corrie and Greg were great to work with! The setting is beautiful. We had the ceremony outside facing the stone wall. The restaurant looks like a renovated barn - very rustic. The food was delicious and I received so many compliments from my guests on not only the surroundings and the food, but also how friendly and attentive the staff were.

I can't praise the staff at Bittersweet enough. They took care of everything. I didn't need to worry about a thing the day of the wedding. Everything leading up to it was handled so well. My questions were always answered. The food is amazing. Every guest had a HOT meal. It was well prepared, fresh and hot. I could not have found a better place. The venue and the grounds are both equally beautiful. It is spacious and warm feeling. The staff always goes above and beyond. The even coordinators Brendan and Corrie both are very helpful. Brendan was my day of coordinator and he simply made the day the best it could be for us. He handled every issue before it became an issue. (these were issues from family and general wedding hiccups not related to Bittersweet Farm). If I have another big event, no matter what it is, the first place I will consider is Bittersweet Farm. Mainly because Brendan pulls everything together so effortlessly and makes you feel like all you have to do is enjoy your day.

I was looking for a rustic, barn-like venue that wouldn't cost an arm and a leg to have my ceremony and reception - Bittersweet Farm fit the bill perfectly. The grounds are amazing, and the feel and decor of the restaurant was perfect. Susan was really great to work with and the food was excellent. Bittersweet Farm is definitely not a typical wedding factory - they take the time to make everything personal and unique, and they don't charge exorbitant prices. I would HIGHLY recommend it as a wedding venue.

We want to let you know of the great work done by Alexis the wedding coordinator in support of our daughter's wedding in May. She is very professional and handled getting information late and some last minute changes with ease. It was a pleasure working with her and the other staff that day.
In addition we received many compliments on the venue and food from the appetizers to the main course to the late night snack, we heard nothing but praise on how delicious everything was. In particular we liked that appetizers, drinks and a server were sent to the wedding party while pictures were taken. Overall it was a most pleasurable experience including the rehearsal dinner at Merrills on Friday night

Seamlessly run wedding
My family and I worked with Bittersweet Farm and LaFrance Hospitality for my sister's wedding and reception last weekend. It was a wonderful event and the staff deserves tremendous recognition for making it happen. I was the wedding planner but was unable to visit the venue in-person until the week of the wedding due to being from out of town. The venue's responsiveness was not the best in the months leading up to the event, my sister had multiple emails go unanswered, but once we were assigned Alexis Ferland as our Day-Of Coordinator a few weeks before the big day everything went smoothly. It was one of the best run weddings I've seen during my time in the industry.
Alexis and her crew were efficient, unflappable, and worked nonstop throughout the event. When there was something I had forgotten to do, they were already one step ahead of me. Given the tight turnaround time between events (only two hours to set up after another wedding concluded), I am so grateful to all the staff who made it happen with a smile. I truly could not have done it without all of them. They were really outstanding and were always available to answer questions or handle special requests or concerns.
The venue is absolutely beautiful even without additional decorations, from the lush green lawn and gazebo where we held the ceremony to the rustic barn with twinkle lights on the ceiling beams. The only slight downside of the venue is that the full bar is up a set of steep stairs on the second floor, so folks with mobility issues had to rely on others to get drinks for them. Thankfully there were no mishaps even when people came down the steps with two cocktails in hand!
We were very pleased with all the food throughout the night; you can tell Bittersweet is a restaurant as well as event venue. We selected mini crabcakes, Beef Wellington, spanikopita, and fish and chips for the passed hors d'oeuvres during cocktail hour, and while I didn't get to try them the guests said they were great. Alexis also brought a tray with three or four of everything to the bride and groom while they took post-ceremony photos so they wouldn't miss out! Dinner was plated and a choice of salmon, prime rib, or vegetable skewers and it was excellent. I loved that that the entrees were dairy and nut free and Kosher-friendly for guests with dietary restrictions. We opted for a late-night snack of sliders and fries which were a big hit, and the staff cut and served the cake we provided. They also boxed the top tier of the cake for the newly weds even through I completely forgot to ask for it!
We absolutely recommend Bittersweet Farm and Alexis for a special event.

Amazing Atmosphere
This venue is beautiful especially for a December wedding! The lighting brings out the rustic feel that I’ve always wanted at my wedding. The food and service was great and quickly fixed any concerns we may have had. I was very pleased to have worked with a few of the girls during the planning process but Kayla Botelho was especially amazing as our day of coordinator. Kayla paid close attention to every detail and decorated exactly as I asked. She checked in whenever should could on the night of to make sure everything was going well, and even made sure we had our own appetizers while we waited hidden away during cocktail hour. I am so pleased with the way the the entire night went. Our families are still raving about it all. I would recommend 10/10 times! Thank you again!

My daughter just had her wedding at BSF. It could not have been more perfect. The staff
was so accommodating - they hovered, they were flexible, no one had to wait for everything.
They really made us feel like her wedding was the only one they ever did. The reception
venue was lovely, the food service prompt and professional and the food was delicious.
The manager made sure everyone had what they needed and they never made us feel
like we had to rush to leave. It was 5 stars all the way and I can heartily recommend
this venue for anyone's wedding It's beautiful.

Bittersweet Farm was the perfect venue for the rustic barn wedding we were looking for. They did an amazing job putting it together on the day of and everyone was commenting on how beautiful it looked. We booked there over a year and a half in advance and my only complaint was that over that time period, I didn't have one individual I was working with - I feel like I got tossed around a little bit. However when it got closer, Michelle became my contact and she did an awesome job. On the day of she had the room set up even more beautiful than I had imagined and she took care of everything so I was able to just relax and enjoy myself. I would definitely recommend!

I booked my wedding through Bittersweet Farm well before the date of my wedding. After weeks and weeks of venue shopping, my husband and I took a look at Bittersweet and said “this is the one.” The venue has a rustic, but elegant feel and amazing food, and offered far more value than any other venue we could find. From there, helpful staff answered any and all questions we had along the way. Then, we hit a snag. My husband joined the air force and received a ship date far sooner than we could have guessed. We had to move the wedding up by 5 months. The staff and Bittersweet was amazing with helping us to not only book a date only 8 weeks away, but pull together an entire wedding in that time.
Lindsay, the coordinator for our wedding, was extremely helpful at every turn, and ensured that our event went perfectly. We got so many compliments on both the space and the food. We were so happy with our wedding at Bittersweet!

I got married at Bittersweet Farm in September. I dealt with Brenden, and I can not even begin to tell you how AWESOME my wedding was because of him. From booking the venue, to the reception, Brenden was there. He listened and remembered everything that I wanted and followed through with everything. He actually executed it better than I even imagined. My guests can't say enough about our wedding. The food was so good, and everything ran so smoothly (or at least I thought it did as the bride) and I think the main reason why everything did go so well was because of Brenden. Thank you Brenden! I would HIGHLY recommend getting married at Bittersweet farm. If you want a rustic, cozy and FUN wedding...have it here!

We were looking for a rustic, beautiful, and comfortable spot for our wedding. Bittersweet Farm is all those things and more! The owner and staff were lovely throughout the entire process, including menu tastings and lots and lots of emails filled with questions. Corrie Martin, one of Bittersweet's event coordinators, was especially fantastic. She was calm and informative, helping to make everyone feel comfortable and taken care of during the rehearsal and wedding day. We looked at a few other renovated barn venues and the value at Bittersweet was by far the best.
We had a great wedding and hope you do too!!

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at Bittersweet Farm and overall it was an excellent experience . Greg and Kori were very flexible and helpful in allowing us to create the vision we had for our wedding. The beautiful open wood beam interior space and expansive outside grounds were the perfect setting for our rustic wedding. We couldn't have been happier with our big day at Bittersweet Farm!

The Bittersweet Farm is a great venue for a wedding if you're looking to save some money. My husband and I really didn't want something this rustic, but we couldn't complain about the price. The wedding planners, Susan and Greg, are easy to work with. The site is flexible. It rained on my wedding day, so we planned at the last minute to have the ceremony inside instead of outside. I don't like the kind of food served here, and you can't use an outside caterer. Request a complimentary tasting before you book the site.
