Stunning Fall Wedding in VT
Heather blew us away with her floral designs and decorations for our wedding. She perfectly captured the essence of our fall camp theme and transformed a room that doesn't have a ton of character into a stunning, fairytale like space complete with live trees! I think the photos speak for themselves. We gave Heather full creative license over the final decorations based on examples of her other work. We knew the final product would be beautiful but we still can't get over just how stunning her work is. We cannot recommend Birds of a Flower enough and if you have the chance to work with Heather you should jump on the opportunity. -

Gorgeous and personal florals
I've had the incredible privilege of working alongside Heather for nearly a decade, and it was an absolute honor to have her and the talented Birds of a Flower team craft the most stunning floral arrangements for our wedding!! Having been a part of the Birds of a Flower family for years, I had been dreaming of having them do my own wedding. So, when the time came, there was no doubt in my mind about who could bring our wedding vision to life.
What truly left a lasting impression were the personals and my bouquet! Heather created a floral masterpiece of an ombre peony explosion that was nothing short of awe-inspiring. Every bloom and color was carefully chosen (with a gorgeous yellow peony peaking out too!), resulting in a bouquet that was truly a work of art. Heather also worked her magic on my husband’s bout. by crafting a unique and stylish floral lapel for him. It was a truly unique touch that was perfect for him and added a distinct and personal element to his outfit, and it perfectly complemented the grandeur of my bouquet! Birds of a Flower so excels in providing a personal touch. They don't just arrange flowers; they tell love stories with each petal, and it's evident in every creation. Heather edited the decor plan to include my and my husband's love of education, our time spent in Italy, and so many other personal elements. Also, what makes Bird’s service even more remarkable is their ability to navigate unpredictable weather. Our wedding day was a testament to their dedication, as they seamlessly adapted to the challenges posed by iffy weather. From taking a gondola to the mountaintop venue (with a strict timeline!) to creating stunning arrangements that could withstand the elements, Birds of a Flower went above and beyond to ensure our day was perfect. On our wedding day, the floral wonders they conjured transformed our mountaintop venue into a romantic paradise. Despite the weather's unpredictability, Heather and the Birds ensured our day was nothing short of magical. -

Oh my god. I had no words when I walked into our reception space and when I saw our ceremony arch, and our bouquets, floral crowns, boutonnieres, floral dog leash, and other pieces were no less stunning. I had quite the vision for my wedding and Heather was so patient with me and worked to bring my dreams, and more, to life. She has an incredible eye for design, and made everything look like a fairytale. We had planned a "small" ceremony arch, and she delivered the most stunning arch adorned with babies breath and roses that I have EVER seen. The details were impeccable and she had the most thoughtful touches and ideas. Our guests were in awe just like we were. Florals are pricey overall, but it was worth every penny. Heather is a magician! -

Heather/Birds of a Flower is THE BEST
Having Birds of a Flower as our florist was truly the best decision we made for our wedding. Heather went above and beyond what we could have imagined! We have had friends and acquaintances asking us nonstop about who did our flowers and how they could hire her to do theirs. Heather is patient, thoughtful, and has such an eye for design and decor. She is really well-connected with other Vermont vendors which made planning so much smoother. I really can't say enough good things about Birds of a Flower. They are THE BEST!! -

Heather and the Birds of a Flower team are absolutely phenomenal! I had a loose idea of what I wanted my wedding day to look like and Heather was able to make it so much more than I even could have imagined. Every detail was tended to and created such a cohesive and appealing visual. My bouquet was stunning, the bridesmaids were obsessed with their bouquets, and every guest was in awe when they walked into the reception space. There are not enough adjectives to described how amazing everything looked! -

Heather and her Birds of a Flower team did an EXTRAORDINARY job on creating an enchanted woodland forest vibe for our winter wedding! From our first conversation, it was so easy to tell that Heather was passionate about her work, so friendly and easy to talk to, and had great ideas around our concept. Since our wedding was November 16th in Vermont, we knew it would either be a late fall or early winter wedding. We were envisioning dark, moody jewel tones and had personal accents that we wanted to incorporate into the tablescapes and bride bouquet.
Heather was so responsive during the planning process, worked within our budget, and even provided a proposal that outlined each component of our order line by line. This was so helpful as we were able to determine if we wanted to save on some items or add additional budget to others.
During our wedding weekend, the team completely outdid themselves. They made special deliveries the day before the wedding, incorporated our own pieces into the tablescape designs (antique German Shepherd figurines to honor our dogs, antlers, and wooden centerpieces), and even helped place an antique cameo pin on the bride bouquet in the bridal suite. Our guests were SO blown away by the detail of work and intricacies of the ceremonial arch decorations, the lush tablescapes, greenery above the ceiling, and the incorporation of berries, leaves, and seasonal flowers in the bouquets. She also surprised us with some elements that completely fit in the theme of the wedding (we couldn't believe the beauty of the gunmetal votives and a deerskin decoration on the guestbook table.)
No matter your budget, Heather and her team can make your day amazing with their thoughtful, beautiful arrangements. My husband and I absolutely recommend Birds of a Flower to EVERYONE getting married in the area! Thank You, Birds of a Flower! -

When I first talked to Heather on the phone a year before our wedding, I knew I would go with her and Birds of a Flower. She was so easy to talk to and was understanding everything I had said. She had done many weddings at the Woodstock Inn and we both agreed the ballroom left more to be desired. She transformed the ballroom into such a cool, homey yet elegant vibe. It felt like we were in a different room. My husband was even blown away by the transformation (and when we started wedding planning he thought we didn't need flowers hah). I still can't get over how perfect it was. She even put on the boutonnieres on the groomsmen and made some extra boutonnieres on the day of because more people wanted them. It was incredible.
Heather and her team is so much more than florists, but architects for the wedding theme and vibe. In the planning process, I sent Heather a bunch of photos and explained the vibe we wanted that night. The only specifics I really gave here were winter greenery, white flowers, and a warm, welcoming vibe in the ballroom. She brought my vision to life and I really didn't even know what it was. Allowing Heather and her team to use their creativity made the flowers and installations wayyyy better than something I could have imagined.
She also is very cognizant of your budget and will help you decide which things to cut and keep to keep the vibe what you want. Her prices are so affordable for the amount of work you get. I almost want to have another wedding so I can see more of what Heather and her team can do! If you are getting married, you have to go with Birds of a Flower. -

Heather and the Birds of a Flower team have an unbelievable talent that is truly unmatched! I was referred to Birds of a Flower by a friend who had been married last year. I recall absolutely loving the greenery and florals throughout her venue and was so excited when the team was available to work with us for our wedding! We had a smaller budget and Heather was SO CREATIVE with our vision. I received so many compliments from guests on the effortless beauty of the greenery and florals throughout the venue. She decorated our ceremony arbor with gorgeous greens that were exactly what I had envisioned! Mine and the bridesmaids' bouquets were STUNNING. My favorite feature about Birds of a Flower is that they give you access to the use of antique bottles and a vast and eclectic collection of pottery and vases, making the flowers really stand out, even on a budget. The team was also creative with repurposing our florals (bouquets were placed on the mantle in our reception hall with greenery after the ceremony concluded) and not a single detail was missed. Do yourself a favor and book Birds of a Flower for your special day. Heather and her team are true artists and I hope to have an occasion to work with them again in the future! -

We used Birds of a Flower for our wedding on July 20 in Woodstock, Vermont on a private farm. It's hard to put into words how fun it was to work with Birds of a Flower and Heather Brown. The creativity and skill is like nothing you have ever seen at a wedding before. She works with you to create an overall design for your wedding that goes so far beyond just flowers. She helped transform our farm into something truly magical and breathtaking. There were people gushing about the flowers and overall design that never notice or comment on flowers. She was also INCREDIBLY easy and fun to work with. She caters to whatever it is your heart wants to do and works with you to develop your vision... She helped the baker decorate our cake, ordered exquisite tablecloths, created totally unique and different flower crowns for 13 bridesmaids + flower girls, decorated all the trees with lanterns, brought in Simon Pearce + Farmhouse pottery table decorations... It was honestly incredible.
If you are having your wedding somewhere that needs toilets brought in, use Heather's husband's luxury wash cabins. It is 10000% worth the extra money - I have never heard so many people compliment bathrooms in my life. Most people said the bathrooms in the portable wash cabins were nicer than the bathrooms at the Woodstock Inn. -

Best Floral Designer in Vermont
Heather is a creative genius. She is friendly and highly professional. She designed amazing floral arrangements that created the perfect scene for the whole wedding. I received one million compliments on the flowers and I loved them myself! She was flexible with my budget and I appreciated the conversation we had about what works best for me and how she could bring everything to life for the big day. Seriously gorgeous results, could not have dreamed of anything better. -

absolutely stunning flower arrangements
Heather and her team at birds of a flower truly surpassed ALL of my expectations!!! I couldnt have asked for more beautiful flowers. It really set the tone for the event. Heather is very sweet and professional, and has a beautiful vision for unique and gorgeous flowers and floral arrangements. She was able to work within my budget and made sure to re-purpose arrangements wherever she could. I did end up purchasing my own vases and votives on my own so I could have the exact look I wanted and that guests could take the centerpieces home with them, which worked out beautifully. Heather is very creative and at times we had different visions for the look of the event, but she was very easy to talk to and if I did not like something or had a different idea about the style she had no problems in changing things to make it look exactly how I wanted. She had some great ideas for floral jewelry for the bridal party instead of corsages, which looked amazing, and the bouquets were perfect. I was over the moon happy with everything they did for me that day and would highly highly recommend Heather and her team for your event!! -

Where do I begin! We initially reached out to the Birds a little over a year before our wedding. From the very first phone call, Heather was so helpful. She took our ideas for ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception and completely brought them to life. The most amazing part of the whole process was how Heather kept our budget in mind the whole time. In an industry where budgets tend to go over by 2 or 3 times the original amount, it was refreshing to have Heather’s expertise in making our dream a reality while fitting our budget. I would recommended Birds of a Flower over and over again to anyone getting married in Vermont or beyond. A truly amazing company run by even more amazing people! -

We feel so fortunate that we are able to work with Heather and her team to bring our dream wedding to fruition! She is so sweet, easy to work with and helped from start to finish bringing our vision of a rustic chic wedding to vibrant life. She has great taste and meticulous attention to detail. At points where we felt a bit lost, she came in with recommendations that aided tremendously. We felt so comfortable calling her at any time to chat through all our ideas.
The bouquets, the boutonnieres, the flower girl crowns, THE TRUCK and the entire wedding venue ambiance this team created has us wishing we could relive the day over and over. We cannot begin to express how perfect it was- in part because of Heather and Piper's talent. They took my vision to the next level and made our day complete perfection. Honestly, it was better then I could have ever imagined. I was overwhelmed with how flawless and gorgeous everything was while still feeling so warm and welcoming. The personal touches everywhere (hidden blueberries in my bouquet!) were stunning and truly felt in line with our style as a couple. Our guests and even folks that didn't make the wedding cannot stop raving about the flowers and how gorgeous the overall decor was from the ceremony to the reception. It is an honor to recommend them and they helped give me the wedding of my dreams! <3

Heather far exceeded any expectations that we had. I insisted on having succulents in our floral arrangements and man did they deliver! Besides the beauty of the arrangements, Heather and her team were on time, professional, and paid attention to my every request. I would book Birds of a Flower again in a heart beat!

Katie Sent on 07/25/2018We are still in awe of what Heather and her team accomplished at our wedding. When we first met with Heather, we had a LOT of ideas that we wanted to incorporate. Heather was flexible, creative and responsive to our vision for our wedding. She tailored our ideas when needed and made amazing suggestions like having individual bouquets to match each of the bridesmaids personalities. Heather and the birds are incredibly resourceful and hardworking. Heather seamlessly took our desire for colorful and celebratory and classic and elegant and made it all work. What we were most impressed by was Heather and the Birds' willingness to go above and beyond: On a 90+ degree day, the team was all hands on deck to re-purpose all of our ceremony flowers (down to the pew decor) and bring it to the tent for the reception-- all within 45 minutes. Oh, and finally, my bouquet was the most gorgeous thing I have ever seen, but it was LIGHT and easy to carry around. Heather you are a magician and truly talented. I would recommend Heather to anyone and everyone- you would be lucky to get to work with such an amazing florist and event designer.

They looked through many pinterest examples and allowed my husband to design his own wooden centerpieces! The final product we PERFECT & we have so many succulents around our house still today! Heather and her team are absolute pros in every way. We needed a floral AND design team for our winter wedding, and from our very first phone call, I could tell Heather was a perfect fit for us. Not only is she so incredibly sweet, kind, and talented, but she understood my vision for the wedding RIGHT away and was able to execute it beyond my wildest dreams and expectations. I loved all of her ideas that she brought to the table and she was also very respectful of our budgetary needs. I was so incredibly blown away when I saw everything come together the day of the wedding, I am still thinking about and reveling in the feeling it gave me to see how every detail was beyond what I ever envisioned. Heather was so patient and responsive when I would have questions, concerns, worries about timeline, etc., and totally kept my nerves at bay! She is a true ARTIST and I am so in awe of what her and her team are able to accomplish for all of their weddings. She was even generous enough to gift us a few items for our big day, which was just so above and beyond. I cannot recommend Birds of a Flower enough for your wedding or any important event you are planning. You will not be sorry that you hired this incredibly talented vendor!!! -
