The Best Journey
When we started planning our wedding, we knew that we wanted the ceremony to be the focal point, intentional, deeply meaningful, and reflective of our values and personalities. Many elements of traditional ceremonies didn’t really resonate with us so we were looking for additional support beyond that of an officiant. We went to Bill for his services both as a consultant in designing an original, bespoke ceremony and as our officiant.
Bill has a great process in place that includes a series of regular meetings, thoughtful prompts, and writing exercises. His insights into existing traditions helped distill what was meaningful to us and his recommendations proved invaluable as we searched for texts and rituals to complement our ceremony. We felt like Bill truly understood our vision; he designed a layout in the round that both accommodated our unique processional and allowed us to feel surrounded by our loved ones. We felt supported and encouraged throughout our preparations and had peace of mind that we could fully rely on Bill’s experience and expertise. From the ceremony design to his organization and professionalism as officiant, we appreciated Bill’s amicable approach, his intentionality, and attention to detail.
In the end, our ceremony was everything we had hoped for and more thanks to Bill’s expert guidance and consultation. He was a joy to work with and we’re so grateful for his role in our journey into marriage.

Bill was fantastic! He helped us craft a beautiful and unique wedding ceremony that reflected our values. Thanks to you, we created one of the most unique and special ceremonies, that transcends all barriers, which is exactly what we always wanted. Thanks to your questionnaires, and your definition of what a real vow is, we were able to create narrative vows that were very poetic, as well as eternally meaningful.

When we were looking for someone to officiate our wedding we weren’t sure what to expect. Bill was very responsive which helped get everything off to a great start. He listened to us, our ideas, our assumptions, and helped us form them into a ceremony that we will remember forever. We were impressed with Bill’s thoughtful approach to getting the ceremony organized and how flexible he was to our feedback. He even adapted to our schedule which helped make the whole process that much less stressful! During one of the pre-planning meetings we had with him, he even shared examples of vows and other writings to help refine what we wanted to say, it was unexpected and quite helpful. After the ceremony he presented us with a home baked treat, what a nice personal touch! -

I can't overstate how perfect our wedding was for us, and how important Bill's contribution was to that outcome. He's incredibly friendly and invites couples to shape their ceremony to match who they are (as novel or traditional as you want), and he uses his incredible depth of knowledge of history to offer excellent guidance and suggestions if you need them. Beyond that he was super responsive, and met with us more than any other vendor. In a lot of ways he helped us visualize and plan our wedding more than any other single person. On the day of our wedding he impressed everyone, including the other vendors. If you get Bill you'll be so glad you did, because he makes everything so much easier and so much better. Our wedding was perfect, even better than we hoped. Bill is very open and very flexible, but he'll genuinely help you out big time if you need more structure or help with your vision. Definitely the single best investment for our wedding was hiring Bill.

Masterful Ceremony Creator and Officiant
We started working with Bill 6 months before our wedding and we did the vows workshop with him. Bill was so supportive and helpful throughout the process! My spouse and I decided to create a custom ceremony that blended our different religious backgrounds into something that represented us; in our case, this blend was non-religious and Catholic. We worked on creating religious undertones but making sure the language fit us in the present. It took some back and forth as well as navigating pressure and emotions from our families. However, we were in good hands because Bill is masterful at this! On our wedding day, he did an expert job at creating the right atmosphere. He made us so comfortable standing up there in front of everyone. My husband was nervous about this, since he's very introverted. Bill put him at ease and directed the energy in the room to join us rather than watch us. Our wedding would not have been the same without him, the ceremony is still our favorite part to remember. -

Warm, Professional and Kind
We couldn't have asked for a better officiant for our wedding. Bill was not only kind and well-prepared but also incredibly patient. Despite our friends being late, he waited in cold without a hint of complaint, showing remarkable understanding and support. Bill was an incredible person to work with as we planned our wedding ceremony. My husband and I certainly gave him a challenge, too, with just under two months between the time we hired him to the wedding date! Through a few virtual meetings and email chains, we were able to design a ceremony that truly expressed our relationship and commitment to each other. Throughout the process, we also learned more about the historical context of wedding traditions, and were able to make informed decisions about what we wanted to include in our ceremony. Overall, we had an excellent experience working with Bill and would highly recommend him as an officiant to other couples! -

Bill is the best!
We could not have asked for a better officiant for our wedding. We were looking to have a unique ritual style wedding, and Bill brought that vision to life. We had requested a small list of things we wanted to incorporate in our ceremony and things we wanted to exclude, and not only did he do that for us but he was able to seamlessly add elements that tied everything together perfectly. He was extremely professional, warm, and helped guide us through what we needed to do from beginning to end. Thank you so much Bill! 10/10 -

Amazing Officiant
If you’re looking for an officiant to make your wedding day meaningful, well thought out, and celebratory, I highly recommend working with Bill. As a person who finds a lot of meaning in words, especially finding importance in crafting vows, Bill has a wonderful selection of examples and references to cater your day to showcasing the most important part: the love you have with your partner. Bill read a beautiful passage that really illustrated that for me and my partner. His work and presence added so much meaning and dimension to our big day. It’s the moment of getting married you look back on as one of the biggest milestones in your life, so having Bill by our side as such a wonderful representative to express that made the moment all the more special. He is not just an officiant that only cares about pleasing a crowd, he’s one that will care for you and your partners’ needs and plan around that—he’ll work hard to make sure your day is about you and your partner. I’d recommend him to everyone I know. -

Bill worked with us for months leading up to the wedding. He helped us stay on track and make sure that our ceremony really felt like it represented us and the commitment we were making to each other. Bill was a wealth of ideas and education about wedding traditions.
On the weekend of the wedding, our coordination team remarked on how well the rehearsal was handled, and we heard from so many guests how impressed they were with Bill's handling of the ceremony.
When planning a wedding, so much of the focus can be on the reception and event planning details. We are so grateful to Bill for helping us prioritize the important part--the vows & ceremony--and at the end of the day, the ceremony was my favorite part of the weekend. -

My husband and I made the decision to elope on a rather tight timeline, and choosing an officiant who we trusted and felt comfortable with proved pretty difficult...until we found Bill! Bill has a magnetically peaceful and warm energy about him; we were immediately at ease from the moment we had our first Zoom call. In just over a month, he crafted our ceremony and vows into something truly beautiful- even though it was going to be just us and our witnesses, he treated our wedding with so much care and detail, and not once made our elopement feel small or diminished. He met with us over Zoom about once a week leading up to the ceremony and was incredibly helpful and receptive to us and our ideas. Bill even (unwittingly, perhaps) provided some counseling to us in our planning! The thoughtful and caring questions he asked to help write our vows led to some deep and wonderful conversations between my husband and I. On top of all of the design work he did for our ceremony, his work as an officiant on the day of was outstanding: that same peaceful, warm energy was an absolute godsend for our wedding jitters, and he had us and our witnesses laughing and joyous throughout. It's been a few weeks since our wedding, and my husband and I are still over-the-moon about every aspect of that day- and we owe so much of that to Bill. We are forever grateful to him for making such an important day in our lives so magical and would enthusiastically recommend him to anyone and everyone. Thank you so much, Bill! -

If you are looking for an officiant who will ACTUALLY officiate your wedding, Bill is not the person for you. On 12/23/2023, we locked him in for our ceremony on 6/15/2024. He appeared to be organized, professional, and meshed well with what we were looking for in an officiant, so I picked him over 3 other choices. A few hours before my wedding I received a text from Bill saying he was unable to make it – he was feeling sick. No Plan B, no one to cover for him, nothing. I would expect that the most integral part of a wedding, required to make the marriage legally binding, would have a backup plan in place in case of emergencies. We had family traveling from FL to WA for our wedding and we (the bride and groom) were left to figure out what to do 3 hours before our ceremony. Bill was very blasé in his text to us, stating “anyone” could use the script he had provided and “officiate” the wedding, Really? So why was I paying him $700 to do it? A word of advice – if you want to actually get married and not undergo a world of stress and have your special day ruined, DO NOT hire Bill!
