Bijou's created an amazing gluten-free cake for our more than 200 wedding guests. It tasted so good nobody knew it was gluten free and it was incredibly beautiful as well. -

The cake was beautiful, delicious and exactly what we had envisioned. It was wonderful working with Amy. The service was fantastic! The cake was properly packed and secured and the entire transaction to pick up the cake was easy! We loved it and highly recommend this place. -

The Cake of Our Dreams
Bijou's Sweet Treats is pure artistry. My husband and I asked for a cake resembling a stack of our favorite spooky books to celebrate our marriage, and the cake we received was a masterpiece. It was mistaken for an actual stack of books more than once! Amy was an absolute pleasure to work with from the beginning of this order to the very end. She sent us a cake sketch for our approval and periodically kept us up to date on the process. I was so happy that she still made the cake even though COVID-19 loomed large over all our lives (we were even able to pick it up from her when delivery was no longer an option). On top of the beautiful design and outstanding service, the cake was delicious (chocolate with raspberry filling). I highly recommend Bijou's Sweet Treats to any couple looking for an unforgettable cake. -

Absolutly Amazing!
We got married on 11/14/2020 and Amy and Bijou Sweet Treats has been amazing!! When I first talked to Amy and told her my vision I never could have imagined how amazing it woukd turn out! First off the cake flavors were AMAZING! Second, Amy was always there to answer questions, give her recommendations and keep me up to saye on how they are now doing things due to COVID. I was absolutely blown away by out cupcakes, small cake and the grooms cake! I woukd highly recommend Amy and Bijou Sweet Treats! -

We asked Amy to create a geode wedding cake and she delivered more than what we could have imagined! The cake was amazing (almond cake with raspberry filling and lemon frosting) and the cupcakes (chocolate with cream cheese filling and buttercream; vanilla with buttercream, lemon with lemon curd and lemon butter cream, and our wedding cake flavor) were a hit all night! We purposely over ordered so we could let people try each flavor and we had guests begging to let us take them home. Amy, you are a dessert wizard and we enjoyed your works of art so much!! -

We worked with Amy during our planning process and she was so friendly and professional. She set up a tasting session with us and prepared different flavors of cake and fillings for us. Due to COVID-19, we had to downsize our guest list to only close friends and family. Amy was very help and flexible during this process. We went with a buttercream filled cake and had mini cheesecakes at our reception but all of our desserts tasted amazing! We wish we could have all of them there for our guests to enjoy. Our cake turned out beautiful and we received so many compliments on not only the presentation but about the taste as well. -

Bijou's made the desserts and cake for our wedding in Luray, VA. Their desserts were the most beautiful and most delicious desserts we've ever had! You have to book with them really early and it's so worth it. Everything is customizable from the cake flavoring to the icing flavoring and decorative toppings. Some of our favorite items were the french toast bread pudding cupcakes topped with candied bacon, sparkle nuts, white chocolate panna cottas with raspberry gelee, and our apple cinnamon geode wedding cake! Every dessert we ordered was incredible. Our guests are still talking about them a year later! -

Best cake ever!
Bijou Sweets is amazing! They made our wedding cake for nov 9, 2019 despite me reaching out very short notice! Not only that I changed the design of the cake to make it more personalized last minute too but they delivered exactly what I wanted! Super professional, accommodating and affordable! The cake not only looked amazing, it tasted great too! Highly recommend them! -

Bijou's Sweet Treats made a beautiful white cake with lemon buttercream and an assortment of cupcakes for a wedding I photographed this year. The cakes had clean finishes and looked incredible from the moment they arrived to the moment they were eaten. They were simple, elegant, and complemented the rest of the wedding perfectly. Amazingly done! -

Art Deco Perfection!
I am so happy we found Amy! She was such a delight to work with and exceeded all of our expectations. We had a hard time choosing from all of the flavors we tasted, so we ultimately went with two flavors, peach champagne and lemon with raspberry curd. She designed our wedding cake from the lace in my dress and it was GORGEOUS! -

Simple and Sweet Wedding Cake!
Amy exceeded our vision for our wedding day! After meeting with her earlier this spring, we knew our day was in incredible hands. She made the most darling two tiered carrot cake with buttercream frosting and additional sheet cake for our guests. To top it off, we had wedding favor cookies in the shape of our home states for our guests. We were blown away by Amy’s dedication and talent. We absolutely loved it! -

Amy did all the desserts for our wedding, and OMG they were AMAZING. We did pie instead of cake, and Amy made individual mini pies: dutch apple, dutch peach, and chocolate pecan. As the bride, I made sure I tried all three! The best pie I've ever had (especially the pecan!) We also did a chocolate cupcake with peanut butter buttercream (for the groom). But the biggest hit of the night were mini Espresso Panna Cotta with mini biscotti! Everyone at the wedding loved those, and I even had people asking me for a recipe. Haha! Highly recommend Bijou's Sweet Treats! -

Amy is AMAZING. It is pretty clear just by looking at her gorgeous creations, but then when you taste...wow!!! Not to mention she is so sweet and friendly! Both being teachers, my husband and I did our tasting very early - a whole year out (taking advantage of all the planning we could do in the summer months!). Throughout the following year of planning, we had some ideas come and go, and some other details change as well. Amy was super helpful and flexible with all of it. For our wedding, we did a small cutting cake and then a dessert table spread of cookies, cupcakes, cake pops, and mini pies. She helped us think through numbers and we had the perfect amount of everything! We got SO many compliments about how beautiful our display looked and how delicious everything was! We couldn't agree with those comments more. We are so happy Bijou's took care of our sweets!!! -

Seriously, I love cake, and this was some of the best I've ever had. Amy Chan was also awesome to work with, and didn't ever seem to mind my patchy responsiveness (although book with them early). We had our wedding at Shenandoah National Park, and they even coordinated with SNP to send up samples for the day of our food tasting!
Everything was perfect with the cake, including changes to the decorations I'd requested 2 weeks before the date, and it was set up with no hassle to us.

You guys blew us away!!! The dessert table you setup for my daughter's wedding was fantastic!!! From all the cookies to the mini cakes and pies, the guests could not get enough....the wedding cake was stunning, it really was. It also tasted so good!

Amy was so fantastic to work with! Our desserts were so much fun and so delicious! We wanted something simple, but beautiful and it was absolute perfection! We can't wait to order anniversary desserts from Amy next year! Of all of our vendors, Amy was the most prompt in all of her responses and so thorough in explaining the process of delivery. She was also very flexible when we needed adjustment to our quantities, designs, etc. Overall, we would highly recommend based on fantastic quality, prompt and neat delivery, and excellent communication! -

All four were delicious it was difficult to choose! She was willing to accommodate two flavors within the four tiered cake we decided on and it was amazing! We had a good amount of leftovers that guests were asking if they could have seconds! My husband and I both enjoy lightly frosted cakes over highly covered cakes with fondant and Amy did an excellent job. I loved that she was reasonably priced too! We had looked into other cake vendors but none could offer what Amy did and we’re so pleased with her work! I would return again for personal smaller cakes even! Also, even if you don’t plan to have a carrot cake wedding cake, make sure to try hers! It was the best carrot cake I’ve ever had. -

Very down to earth and definitely has inventive ideas, in terms of and flavors and looks, for the sugary goodness she makes. Not only are her cakes gorgeous, but they are absolutely delicious! So many of our wedding guests commented on the yummy flavor of the cakes and cookie favors she made for us. We settled on three cake flavors. Devil's Food Cake, Red Velvet (for our cutting cake) and a Blueberry Lavender Cake (exotic for sure, but it received so many positive comments!). In addition, I loved how our cutting cake looked, which she came up with based on the themes we had in our wedding. She had created a rendering for us so we could get an idea of how it would look and it came out simply perfect! You won't go wrong with hiring Bijou's Sweet Treats to make yummy cakes and cookies (or anything else I am sure) for your wedding reception. I HIGHLY recommend them to couples shopping for a sweet treat vendor. -

Amanda Sent on 11/19/2017We ordered individual pumpkin and apple pies instead of a traditional wedding cake, and they were fantastic - adorable-looking and tasted great! Bijou lent us a few cake stands to help create levels for displaying them - all we had to do was return them the next morning. They dropped the pies off and our caterers set them up. Super easy to work with and the pies were great.

Samantha Sent on 10/24/2017Amy is wonderful, and her desserts are out of this world. She was our first tasting, and we didn't even bother to have a second (crazy, right?!). She's that good. We did an all-vegan dessert spread: 2-tiered cake, cupcakes, and mini-pies. They were fabulous, and the only extras we had were my husband's "Groom Pies" which we specifically set aside for him to have after the wedding; he loved them that much. I can't wait until our anniversary to order another cake from Amy! -

We had unique and delicious cupcakes and cake that everyone was raving about. From the very beginning Amy was really responsive, and worked with every time I changed my mind (which was often). Somewhat last minute (about two months out from my wedding) I changed my entire order and requested a lavender honey blueberry cake I saw on pinterest. IT WAS AMAZING. We loved it. The cake and cupcakes were set up beautifully and were decorated to perfection. We loved working with Amy and would recommend her to anyone. She made our dessert dreams come true and you can truly tell she puts her heart into her work. Thank you Amy!!

We met halfway at a public place between her and me for the tasting, and still she made the presentation so cute with the golden forks and pink napkins. Amy can do whatever you want really, and she was good at narrowing down all the options to deliver what I really wanted for my wedding. She does great things with buttercream - flawless presentation. She also completed a customized cookie order for a separate event for me and they were probably the best sugar cookies I've ever had... perfect icing! -

Luckily we had an awesome wedding planner who recommended we meet them because otherwise, we probably would not have known to check them out, but we are so glad we did! We were so impressed by the quality of the cakes and desserts as well as their attention to detail. We chose the dessert bar option for our wedding so we were able to showcase a little bit of everything they are able to do which included the wedding cake, cupcakes, macarons, drop cookies, cake pops, and more. Our venue had a bonfire so we also chose to have a s'mores station which came with homemade marshmallows and cookies / graham crackers and chocolates in our choice of flavors. Even if you don't go with the s'mores station, the marshmallows are good enough to be served on their own! Everything was so delicious and beautiful and we are still getting comments from our wedding guests about how much they enjoyed the desserts. If you have a crazy / unique idea you want to see come to life on a cake, chances are Bijou's will be able to pull it off. My wedding planner had the idea of using my unique wedding dress as inspiration for the design of our wedding cake and all I can say is WOW, because they nailed it. If you want to see our cake and many of the other beautiful creations they have made, check out any of their social media pages. Trust me, it is worth the follow. They also incorporated details from the cake on every other piece of dessert as well. It truly was art and it almost looked too good to eat. Overall, if you want a unique and delicious cake / dessert experience for you and your guests, then Bijou's Sweet Treats is for you. -

Bijou Sweet Treats made us a small two-tiered wedding cake to cut into and over 200 multi-flavored cake pops for our guests. Beforehand, we worked with Amy and she was so sweet and helpful during our taste test, and then everything on our wedding day was really delicious and beautifully designed. I would recommend Amy for your wedding or really any special event! -

Bijou Sweet Treats made us the most beautiful, natural looking "birch" cake with almond cake, raspberry filling, and vanilla buttercream frosting. We'd decided on the flavors two years ago when we booked Amy and her service and completed a tasting (priced at around $25 but very generous with the various cakes - in cupcake form -- fillings and frostings to choose from) where we confirmed almond was the cake for us.
Amy offered to put sugar flowers on our cake, which looked gorgeous in pictures, but we opted for real flowers. Her linework to create the faux birch tree look (which fit our cabin, rustic vibe) was exquisite. Truly one of the most beautiful cakes I had ever seen and she provided sheet cakes to serve our guests. Our other vendors confirmed that while her price is higher than others in the area, she pays off in exquisite work.
The only note I would make to potential purchasers is that Amy does not deliver her cakes, even for an added fee. We had a highly DIY wedding and our family and bridal party were strapped despite our best planning. Our coordinator urged us to please get our cake delivered, but ultimately we did have to pick it up due to COVID-19. We are appreciative that Amy takes safety seriously, and we didn't have any issues as the cake was well packed, but prepare to have someone available to retrieve the cake. -

I never leave negative reviews, but I truly feel it's necessary with this vendor. I was completely drawn to this vendors gorgeous looking cakes. Although, I couldn't even get to the point of a cake tasting, let alone purchasing a cake because both my wedding planner and I have contacted this vendor several times asking for either an in-person tasting or the ability to pick up a tasting box and they've either blown us off and told us they are too busy to provide one for us while I'm in town for 10 days in August or have just not responded at all. Their treatment has been rude and unhelpful. I would've loved to consider working with this vendor, but if purchasing a cake from them is anything like the initial contact we've had I'm completely uninterested. Keep this in mind when contacting them.
