When my husband and I were planning our wedding I already knew who I wanted to DJ our special day. John had DJ'd two of my cousins weddings, and numerous birthdays for my family throughout my life, so there was no question. From the moment I called him he made it feel like my wedding was the most special day on his calendar, his enthusiasm alone is off the charts!

My parents and I met with him to go over the details of the wedding and from that point forward my entire wedding started to come together. John went through every single second of my wedding day and exactly how it would go which if it is your first wedding like it was mine (LOL) YOU NEED! I was so grateful because he had me thinking about things that I would have no thought of otherwise, from walking down the aisle, cocktail hour, reception and all the little details in between.

Because of John and his team my entire day was seamless and a night to remember. It was the best day of my life and I cannot thank him enough. The music, photo montage, the entry everything was perfect. My guests danced their butts off and are still talking about how much fun they had.

If I could give him more than five stars on all accounts I would. BOOK BIG JOHNS!!!!

Fun! Fun! Fun!

I have used Big Time John for my Wedding 24 years ago before there was Wedding Wire. I hired him again for my 40th Birthday Bash and love having this guy so much I special called him out to Long Island for my 50th birthday block party. It’s not a party unless Big Time John DJ and Entertainment is rocking the music. But it’s not just music, he always goes BIG TIME with fun, we had tug o war, water balloons, lights, fog machine, prizes but mostly FUN. Always know we are getting John’s all when he shows up to a party. He is the only guy to ROCK the house! Anyone who has been to an event thrown by me has always had the time of their life and John is the key to that! Your wedding will be BIG TIME!

Great music!

I just went to my cousin's wedding this past weekend 10/29/21 and did not sit down the whole time because the music was just great. A good DJ can make or break a wedding and I would highly recommend Big Time John. Best wedding I've been to in a long time. We danced the whole evening to all kinds of music and he knew how to get the crowd moving. I highly recommend.

Wow. John and his crew were absolutely fantastic. He is 100% dedicated to his craft.
The time and energy he took to make my daughters wedding special was phenomenal.
Every aspect from the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception music was out of this world. The dance floor was bouncing up and down. Everyone was dancing and having a great time.
He is truly a master of his art. I will recommend him to everyone. You will not be disappointed. You will be amazed.

Nothing was overlooked

We were married on the beach in Long Beach NY in 1999. My wife and I just celebrated our 20th anniversary together.
John set up on the beach and provided the music for our wedding ceremony. When the service was concluded, we went to our reception where John and his team were all set up and ready to go! The transition was seamless. John MC'd our wedding and did a masterful job. We had some unusual song requests that he was able to fulfill .(This was before the internet so it was no easy task!)
People danced all night and still tell us, after all these years, what a great time they had at our wedding. Thanks John!

Amazing and Professional DJ

John was a perfect DJ for my and my wife's wedding. We had a day wedding which is usually a little more difficult for getting people on the dance floor, but this challenge was something John easily overcame. He managed to get everyone on the dance floor and keep them there.
In addition, he was very organized from the moment we met him. When we told him the time frame of our wedding, he began walking us through how the entire wedding would go regarding things such as leaving the church, the introduction of us at the reception, our first dance, and the cake cutting. He made the process very easy and was very easy to speak with; throughout the process, he became our friend and was always there to help us anytime.
John was an amazing DJ who put his heart and soul into our wedding, and we wouldn't have picked anyone else as our DJ. Thank you very much, John.

Amazing Experience

John and his DJ crew always deliver the fun and great entertainment. He does knows his audience with the kids as young as 4 to big kids as young as 70. My family has seen his skills in many events like Cub Scout events. He knows how to interact with his clients and makes them feel like the party goes on the whole night. It’s always fun with Big Time John!

Would never use any other DJ service.

John has hosted a number of mine and my family members parties. He doesn't rest until everyone is having a good time. You can tell he knows what he's doing and it's not just him. If one of his employees DJ's, you receive the same treatment as if he were there doing it himself. Plenty of giveaways, special effects and fun. Would never use anyone else to DJ any party I host and always recommend him to anyone that needs DJ services.

Never Want To Leave The Dance Floor 💃

Cub Scout Fun

We are a local cub scouting pack - John has DJ'd for the kids Christmas and Blue and Gold parties for the past 5 years. John volunteers his time, keeps the kids dancing and engaged - they have a blast every time. Couldn't ask for a nicer guy or a more standup DJ who can be relied on to come through.

A night I'll never forget

Big Time John made my sweet 16 so special and memorable. There was not one person seated, everybody was up dancing with hats, glasses, glow sticks, and more props. It was the talk of the town and I've never been to another sweet 16 like it. He and his crew have such talent I highly recommend him for your next event.

I cannot say enough about Big time John and his team. My big issue was I wanted a DJ that did not just play music and read a script I gave them. I wanted someone to get the folks out of their chairs, get them on the dance floor and become part of the party. John did all that and more. I think he might be in more of my wedding pictures than I was (lol) He was up and in the crowd when I needed. To this day, people I meet tell us what a ball they had at the wedding and it WAS because of John. I would never use anyone else. The props, the lights, the sound was outstanding. This was our DJ 15 years ago.. December 27, 2002! (The calendar would not let me put in the exact date.) He was amazing - great music and lots of dancing for all ages!!! He even had two Santa hats for us - that are now a part of our family Christmas tradition! Thank you Big Time John!

We were married last month and I just want to say that Big Time John was phenomenal! My guests say that it was the best wedding they ever went to and could I have a party like that at least once a year. We were blown away, with the ambience, the timing, he had meeting to discuss songs and phone calls. I could write pages about how impressed and lucky we were. We had been to other weddings where he was the DJ and were absolutely blown away. I had guests ranging from teens to my 90 year old grandmother and he had everyone on the floor, his energy was contagious we did not want the night to end!!

Big Time John was the DJ for both of my son's weddings and also for one of my nieces and he was wonderful!! He had everyone up on the dance floor and it was so much fun every guest still raves about it!! I highly recommend using Big Time John's Professional DJ service for your wedding! My husband and i had an incredible wedding reception complete with music from several generational backgrounds. DJ John helped us plan exactly what kind of party we wanted to have and was very knowledgeable and precise in explaining the best way to keep people dancing the entire time. Our friends and relatives still tell us years later that our wedding was the most fun wedding they've ever been to! Younger guests and older guests all had an amazing time!

Let's face i, the DJ can make or break an event. My husband recommended John, having been at events where he had been the DJ and this was in fact, a great decision! It has been a few years since we married and every year when we post our wedding picture on social media, we do not get the expected result of "Happy Anniversary." Instead, everyone who attended raves that it was the best wedding ever. John exceeded our expectations and there was no one in their seat when the music began. My two pieces of advise are to hire him immediately and to listen to him when he makes recommendations as he really is an expert in getting a party going! MM (Scarsdale, NY)

John ( Big Time) came out to Long Island several times to choose the best set up location and layout designs . Every time my daughter met John she became mr ore and more enthusiastic towards her wedding. A confident that she picked the right DJ for her wedding. John and my daughter scope many times on the phone going over the music content. Perfect. As at every event no matter what the nature, there are always snags. There were none as far as " Big Time " s production , but John took it upon himself to fend off any potential bumps from others with no one even knowing anything. He made the wedding of my only daughter PERFECT and I will never forget that .

John not only was a wonderful DJ he actually assisted us in making our wedding truly special. He spoke with the restaurant and spent time helping us create a playlist that was both upbeat and emotional. Our families and friends said he was the best DJ at a wedding they had ever experienced!! To top it all he took his own pictures of the wedding and sent us two cd's with the photos set to music.
Getting married can be stressful. Let John ease that burden????

My daughter's friends have NOT STOPPED talking about what a great time they had at her Sweet 16 party DJ'd by Big Time John. He took a lot of time with our family planning the event, he played all her songs, intro's, candle court people's individual songs and we all danced all night. They rocked and we had the most memorable event. I can't thank them enough. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED!

John was awesome! I heard about John from my sister in-law. John met Daniel and I at our apartment one night a year before our wedding, and wanted to get to know us and our taste in music. After meeting him i knew that he was our DJ! He was genuinely interested in making this the best night and a the perfect night! Our wedding was amazing! John was so organized, professional and kept everyone out on the dance floor! After our wedding, all our guests young and old told us it was the best time and how they loved the music and that the DJ was amazing! I have recommended John to anyone who is having a wedding or who asks for advice on what DJ to use! John thank you!

I hired Big Time John's Professional DJ Entertainment for my parents 25th wedding anniversary party since they never had a wedding reception before, this October and I don't think I could of found a better DJ. John was very helpful throughout the whole setup process from music selection through the timeline setup. He has great musical timing and great crowd control. John really made sure that my party had a great flow to it. He is also very professional during his announcements.

Ultimate Perfection, the only way to describe the service we received at our wedding from Big Time Johns. Upon meeting John for the first time we were welcomed with a cup of coffee as he sat down with us and asked us questions about us. We quickly learned these questions were so John could gain an idea as to what our tastes were so that he could help us envision our wedding reception. Within an hour anyone would have sworn we were old buddies planning a get together. Within a few hours John had prepared a unique event which tied in all aspects of the wedding into one GREAT EVENT. Not once during the whole process did we feel left out of the loop or pressured. Even with the other pressures of a wedding, we constantly felt reassured that everything would be ok on John’s end. This was a welcomed surprise because my wife and I walked in uncertain as we had a very diverse crowd and we needed a DJ to make all of our guests feel included. The day of the wedding John and his staff showed up early in well dressed Tuxedos and they were all happy and polite. In this day and age where companies place profits over people John is still in that time where "People" and memories come first. He places a great emphasis on the fact that he wants you and your guests to have the time of their lives at your event. For our Anniversary John surprised my wife and I with a CD with the music that was played at our wedding along with additional footage from our photo Montage. Can you imagine a DJ who still remembers you a year AFTER your wedding? If you are planning an event please do yourself and your guests a favor and sit down with john in his office and you will see everything I wrote in this review is true. After the wedding we received (and still continue to receive) many compliments on our wedding and I can assure you that without John and his staff those compliments would not exist. Thank you John for making our Wedding the most memorable event of the beginning of our lives.

Myself and my husband were at a wedding where John had played, he was fantastic! From the moment we got there, he had people dancing on the floor the whole night, there and then we decided he was the right guy to hire for our wedding the following year. From our first appointment to the last he was very professional and courteous. I was an expectant mother and had basically baby brain, I couldn't remember much of what I wanted for my big day and john was great, let me take my time and went over every detail with me until I was happy. I would recommend him to anybody getting married. Out of all the vendors I had to deal with in planning our wedding, he was the most professional and the best. Without a doubt he gave us the best day we could ever have hoped for. Thank you john for everything.

I have known John for many years and he has never disappointed me. He is a detail oriented man who goes above and beyond your greatest expectations. I recommended him for my son’s wedding I knew John would make sure my son and daughter-in-law would be his priority. In fact there were times when I think John was as excited about this wedding as I was. I knew they were in good hands with John at the helm. At their initial meeting when John talked about counting floor tiles as a guide for setting up his equipment I knew they were sold! I was given the task of putting together the pictures for the photo montage he was preparing for the cocktail hour. John knew how difficult this was for me. My son lost his father at an early age and my parents passed many years ago so he knew that finding pictures for the most important day of their lives was going to be extremely difficult for me. The end result was beyond my wildest dreams. He created a visual memory for two families being joined together that will be carried down for generations. I heard a song I wanted him to play for my boys (He's Not Heavy He's My Brother). I called him, his concern was that it would bring everyone down, “I’ll come up with something” was his response. I knew he would. He surprised me by calling me and my sons up and played the theme to the TV show “My 3 Sons” (I have 3 sons). What DJ would take the time to think of something that would be so appropriate for me and my boys….It was absolutely perfect! Everyone loved it! I was told by many of my family members and friends that this was the best wedding that they have ever been to. He had everyone up dancing from the minute the reception started and it didn’t’ stop until the very end. John made sure that Anthony and Meaghan’s wedding was memorable and fun. He is the ultimate professional and very entertaining. He’s a man who takes his job very seriously and wants to make sure that you “Have the Time of Your Life”…and WE DID!!!!

John not only played our favorite music the entire night but he made the night run so smooth. He was extremely organized and had every event down to the minute (first dance, toast, etc). We had Irish dancers and he told our photographers what time they were coming on and to be ready. He also takes his own photos with his own camera. He had everyone on the dance floor and I mean EVERYONE! All 200 guests were on the dance floor. He is not only a DJ, he is an entertainer and by far, the best I have seen. He is prepared and you can tell he loves what he does. He created a wonderful slideshow that was shown during the cocktail hour. The guests loved the old photos. He also found a few rare song requests and played them during the reception. He went above and beyond and DJ. I still have people telling me it was the best wedding they have ever been to. Do yourself a favor and book John now. You won't regret it!

During my wedding planning process I met every kind of DJ there is out there, but no one was more professional and down to earth than John. I have been to 7 weddings this summer, including my own and I am being totally honest and candid when I say John was the best DJ I have ever seen perform at a wedding. John was recommended by my father and his friends who have seen John perform in front of crowds of thousands of people. He regularly attends conventions and performs at them and that was really all my family had to say to me. I was beyond impressed when John came to see me and my now husband when we explained to him our vision for our wedding day. He carefully listened to us and jotted down notes as we talked to him about our day. He is a great listener and takes great pride in his work and it truly showed throughout our planning process and on our wedding day. We had 180 guests at our wedding in the Hudson Valley and John was extra early to set-up and take a full walk-through of our venue. He called all of our vendors a week before the wedding day to ensure that everyone was in touch with each other. All of these extra steps that John took are a full reflection of the kind of DJ and person he is. He goes above and beyond his job requirements to ensure that you have the most spectacular day ever. And we truly did. Our guests are still raving about the music at our wedding. John and his assistants never left the DJ Booth and even snapped candid photos of our guests on the dance floor! If you want someone who will exceed your expectations go with John.

I hired Big Time John's Professional DJ Entertainment for my parents 25th wedding anniversary this October and I don't think I could of found a better DJ. John was very helpful throughout the whole setup process from music selection through the timeline setup. He has great musical timing and great crowd control. John really made sure that my party had a great flow to it. He is also very professional during his announcements.

I came across Big Time John's because my father recommended them. I know what you are thinking, how could a dad recommend a great DJ company? Let me tell you, I went to my initial consultation with John very skeptically. As soon as I arrived he greeted me with open arms and treated me like I was his own daughter getting married! He greeted myself and my soon to be husband like we were part of his family. My husband is Dominican and we were looking for a DJ that knew more about Spanish music then Santana and Enrique Iglesias. I explained to John that we wanted to make sure that we had enough Spanish music to allow my soon to be husband’s side of the family the ability to dance and enjoy themselves. John reassured me that he would show us what he had and if there were any additional songs we requested he would make sure to have them for our wedding. I also explained that I was having trouble coming up with song ideas for different parts of the wedding. John told me not to worry; he then opened up his computer and started playing different songs ideas. Throughout the entire wedding process John was easy to get in touch with and always returned my emails or phone calls within a timely manner. After my wedding, my guests came up to me and told me that my DJ was amazing! He was professional, up beat and made sure the entire day went off without a hitch. I was very impressed with the attention to detail that was put into my wedding. I thought that DJ’s were only in charge of music, well John went above and beyond that. He made sure all of my vendors were working together to allow me to have a carefree amazing wedding day! John even took pictures at my wedding and provided me with my slideshow that his company had created after the wedding. It was just another great touch that I can cherish forever from my wedding day. I cannot say enough great things about John and this company. My family is still raving about my DJ almost a year later, which is always a good sign!
