Big Spring Farm was the venue of our dreams! There are so many gorgeous locations here that everywhere you turn feels like the perfect spot. We had toured numerous venues in the area but immediately knew after our tour with BSF that we were going to book it for our wedding. The staff is so incredibly accommodating and friendly and remained that way throughout the entire year and a half long planning process. The owner, Buddy, met personally with us for our tour and our final walkthrough which goes a long way to see how passionate he is about the venue and personally connecting with the clients.

Big Spring Farm was the perfect venue for our wedding and the staff went above and beyond. Buddy, Emma, and Kaila checked in often, let us walk-through multiple times, and responded super fast to all of our questions. Buddy was there on the day of the event to help my husband setup and put everything in place. They are such an awesome family and are truly spectacular. Could not have been happier!!

Big Spring Farm is the perfect place to celebrate your wedding. Throughout the entire process, everyone we interacted with was extremely pleasant to work with and took care of all of our needs. They have an excellent and expanding inventory of available of stuff to use on your big day, which is included in the booking price unlike some of the other venues we looked at. The Blue Ridge views are unbeatable! Thank you Big Spring Farm.

When my daughter's husband called off the wedding, I was stuck with the sad task of handling all the aftermath. Buddy was kind enough to not add insult to injury here. He did his best to "make it right" and we are satisfied with the outcome.

Of all the decisions that we had to make while planning our wedding, booking Big Spring Farm was probably the easiest and best decision we made. We visited quite a few venues in Central Virginia, all were of course beautiful, but Big Spring Farm was different. It was magical. There was a certain feeling we got the moment we drove down the hydrangea-lined drive and then stepped foot on the ground. We were greeted by Buddy who is quite possibly the warmest, friendliest, most helpful, professional, and easy-going venue owner (and vendor) of all time. Buddy and his team are so helpful and accomodating. They answered all of our many questions with a smile. They were fun to work with. They were professional. Every time we visited the farm after booking for walkthroughs with planners, we got that special feeling. The farm itself is simply stunning. Most beautiful, magical place. A little slice of heaven. We booked the golf cart and bridal suite in addition and were so glad we did. The bridal suite is beautiful, spacious, comfortable, and convenient. The golf cart was incredibly helpful carting bridesmaids and stuff to the barn pre-ceremony and reception as well as being able to use it while taking photos later on. We held our ceremony on the peninsula, cocktail hour in front of the barn by the spring, and then our dinner and dancing were held under a tent. The entire day was beautiful, fun, and happy. I can't emphasize enough how wonderful everyone on the BSF team is. Do not hesitate to book this venue. It's incredibly special and the best investment.

This wedding venue is the whole package and more. The owners, Buddy and Jill, are so kind and helpful. We planned most our wedding ourselves and had a day-of coordinator (who was also amazing! - Em Eliz Events), so I had a million questions along the way. Their administrator, Kaila, was always prompt and thorough responding to my every concern. Buddy completed our walkthrough a month before the big day and put all my nerves at ease with his guidance and attention to detail. On our wedding morning, their team shuttled all of our cars to the parking lot and had their golf cart pick up every elderly guest at their cars. Their team was professional and it was all a well-oiled machine. We didn't have to worry about a thing. It's easy to find, minutes from the cute little town of Lexington, and near plenty of hotels/cabins. It is truly the most perfect wedding venue.

We loved having our wedding at Big Spring. They were helpful and responsive throughout the entire wedding process including the covid days. s/o Kaila & Buddy! Both the space and the staff at Big Spring Farm are peaceful, unique and intentional. Every part of the design in the beautiful barn/on the farm and every step in the client experience is thoughtfully done. We absolutely loved working with everyone and getting to host our wedding day here! HIGHLY recommend :)

I absolutely loved Big Spring Farm! Buddy and Kaila were so helpful during a time of uncertainty due to covid. They were flexible in allowing my makeup artist to arrive early for set up, and moved my whole ceremony set up on the day of my wedding due to rain. Everyone of my guests could not stop talking about how gorgeous this venue was. I would highly recommend Big Spring!

Big Spring Farm is an absolutely breathtaking venue. Every inch of it - from the barn and veranda to the peninsula and water to the bridal suite - is picture perfect. The beauty of it all is what initially drew my husband and I to it, but the kindness, thoughtfulness, and dedication of Buddy, Jill, and Kaila is what made our wedding day so incredible. They were all so, so helpful and responsive - both in normal wedding times and (even more importantly) when COVID hit. It was evident from the beginning that they truly care about their clients and ensuring that their weddings are exactly what they envision. We didn't have a single worry on our wedding day because of what a wonderful place Big Spring is to celebrate!

My husband and I immediately fell in love with this place the second we set foot on the property. We always knew we wanted to get married in a beautiful, rustic setting and this was everything we had ever wanted! Buddy (the venue owner) was incredibly professional and patient with us when it came to helping us lay out the plan for our big day. At times, our wedding was a bit of a logistical nightmare but Buddy and his team handled every bump in the road with grace and ease! I cannot recommend this venue and its team enough!

Buddy & his wife Jill started as wedding photographers and you can tell with all the exquisite detail that they've thought about their venue as a masterpiece to be pictured.
The bridal suite is charming and SO COZY! I honestly felt like I was getting ready in my house (that had been renovated and more upscale haha!). It had that warm feeling that made you completely comfortable.

We were fortunate enough to have great weather so we could get married on the peninsula under the weeping willows and a barn reception. Everything was amazing and I can't imagine getting married anywhere else.

We love Big Spring! My husband and I got married here in October and we couldn't have picked a more beautiful venue! We splurged a little on our venue, but it was definitely worth every penny! Buddy was very easy to work with and the staff at Big Spring was great! We received so many compliments and couldn't be happier!

My wife and I got married at Big Spring in September and had the most wonderful experience. Buddy, the owner, was incredibly accommodating and extremely communicative, and just so friendly all the time. We first did a virtual tour since we live out of state now, and he brought us all over the property on FaceTime. Then when we came in person, he was just as helpful and answered all of our questions, and made himself available at every turn. Buddy and, for that matter, every single person on the BSF team were absolutely lovely.

We had a small wedding of 24 people including ourselves and we really wanted a beautiful outdoor venue with a great indoor option as our weather backup plan. And the catch was we didn't want our little wedding to look ridiculously small in what's generally used for bigger weddings. You can't beat the Blue Ridge views at BSF and the barn was so charming, really nice inside, and no musty smell that you typically get inside barns. They did an incredible job renovating and up-keeping the barn and the entire grounds. Our guests are STILL raving about how gorgeous the venue and the mountain views were!

My wife and I stayed in Little Silver Cottage the night before and night of the wedding, and man it was worth it. It was such a stunning house with a breathtaking view, everything was comfortable, well-stocked, and clearly thought-out in terms of what anyone might need/want in a rental home. My wife stayed on the top floor and I stayed on the bottom on the morning of the wedding, which made it really easy for our hair/makeup crew to take care of us all while not seeing each other all day. And then we just got rides in our families' cars down to Big Spring, eliminating travel time. It made everything so stress free, and we were really living in luxury in that house! Several of our friends also opted to stay in Midland House up the road and all said it was beautiful, well maintained, and super convenient.

Our vendors all spoke highly of the communication with Buddy and other BSF staff both before and on the day of the wedding. Everything the day of went without a hitch, and they worked with our other vendors to make everything we planned come to life. We could not have been happier with our experience and we're so happy we made our memories at Big Spring. We can't wait to go back one day to relive them :)

Big Spring Farm has it all - stunning scenery, high quality lighting and event furnishings and a wonderful staff. Every single detail of this venue has been carefully planned and thought out. Buddy and his team are true professionals and have the experience planning and executing events that will allow each couple to be worry free about their big day. We received so many compliments of how beautiful the setting and venue was for our wedding day from our guests. Wedding packages include lighting, tables, chairs (for both ceremony and reception), bars and other accessories to help save on rental costs. We also added the bridal suite to our package which was a great choice. We highly recommend Big Spring Farm for your wedding or special event!

Big Spring Farm was an absolute dream during our June 2022 wedding. We toured it in March of 2020 and knew right away that it would be the perfect place to get married. Buddy and Jill have a beautiful venue that is well maintained. Kaila was a huge help during the wedding process. All our guests were stunned at how beautiful the venue was and it will always hold very special memories for us! We really loved the peninsula for the ceremony, and the mountain views for the photos. When our daughter got engaged and they told us they wanted to get married in Lexington, VA, I was concerned about managing a "destination" wedding because they live in southwest Virginia and we live in Hampton Roads. We didn't need to worry! During the planning process, Buddy welcomed us to visit Big Spring Farm as often as we wanted to get a vision of what they wanted for the rehearsal and wedding. He was open to my daughter and (now) son-in-law's ideas, and made suggestions to fit with their ideas. Kaila was great to work with -- she answered our questions and facilitated everything leading up to the wedding. The site itself cannot be beat! The spring is picturesque, the barn is beautiful, and the entire area made beautiful pictures. It's like Buddy and his team have thought of everything. Our daughter's ceremony was on the peninsula, dinner was in the tent and dancing was in the barn. Planning an outdoor wedding can be nerve-wracking, but because we had the barn as a backup ceremony site in case of rain, we didn't have to worry (and it didn't rain!) In addition to the setting and customer service provided by Buddy, Kaila, and the staff, it was such a pleasure to hear great things about Big Spring Farm from all of the vendors. They all seemed thrilled to work with Buddy and the staff at Big Spring Farm. Our wedding planner specifically mentioned how rare it is to work with a venue that serves its vendor so well. We could not have been more pleased with everything provided by Big Spring -- We had the rehearsal dinner at Big Spring, and we added the Bridal House and golf cart to our contract -- and we were so happy we did. We all highly recommend Big Spring Farm for your event -- whether it is big or small, you will be well taken care of!

This venue is beautiful & so are the people who run it! Family owned - really gets the wedding business. Great communication throughout the whole process, our wedding day ran very smooth with their on-site staff, who are very friendly! Very professional, yet fun staff. Accommodates with you on any special requests, within reason. It's also right outside the cutest little town - Downtown Lexington

What words can I use to capture the dream that is Big Spring Farm? We visited just one venue and fell in love with it. When our guests asked why we picked Lexington, we told them to wait until they saw Big Spring Farm, and during the wedding they told me they understood. If you are looking for a natural oasis encircled by mountains and that includes a gorgeous barn that is the perfect balance of rustic and elegant, a beautiful large body of water, delicate willow trees, a fire pit, and acres and acres of lush green beauty-- don't look any further. Buddy and his team also provide for rent a GORGEOUS house on site for the bridal suite, as well as a breathtaking Airbnb they own 2 mins from the Farm-- I mean, it's the WHOLE package and it made my wedding the perfect day. Buddy and his team are kind, generous, flexible, and extremely communicative. They made us feel like family. We had a fusion Bangladeshi-Western wedding and he went out of his way to accommodate special arrangements to make the day our own. I will never forget that. Big Spring Farm is what dreams are made of, and Buddy and his team are the kindest, warmest, most wonderful team you could ask for. Trust me-- snag this gem up!!!

Big Spring is an absolutely amazing venue! Buddy and Jill were super helpful and communicative and went out of their way to make our day special and run smoothly. The venue is gorgeous, even with rain like on our day. And a climatised barn is a plus in the summer heat. The location is A+, close to major roads for out of town guests and very easy to find. We loved the beautiful setting in the mountains and were just thrilled with everything about Big Spring! I highly recommend it to anyone who wants an classy, elegant outdoor or rustic wedding.
