Pete is without a doubt the best DJ I’ve ever seen. From the moment we booked him, we knew he genuinely cared to make our wedding as special as he possibly could. The online planning tools were super easy to use and he made sure that we were on the same page with all the little details before our wedding. Not only did he do an amazing job of MCing the evening, he got the dance floor PACKED!! He incorporated a lot of our song selections and also added his own touch. It’s been over 3 weeks and people are still talking about how much fun they had. We are so grateful that we got to work with Pete and Big Sand Productions. Amazing Wedding DJ!
Big Sand Productions was amazing! Pete was our first contact and he gave us great suggestions and thoroughly explained everything! Lanise was fantastic and was able to answer all of our questions throughout the process and was extremely helpful with prepping for the wedding! DJ Ty did a great job at our wedding and was super flexible and lively throughout the night! We danced the entire reception since the lineup kept bringing people out to the dance door! Everything about the DJ experience was professional and seamless. Communication was excellent both before the wedding and on the big day itself. Ty, our DJ, was amazing — he made sure every detail from our notes was executed perfectly and kept the energy just right all night. It's overwhelming when you're searching for the best vendors for your wedding day. I came across Big Sand Productions on The Knot. I read through their reviews and saw nothing but great things. Couples raved about how awesome they were to work with! I messaged them and received a reply back promptly from Pete letting me know that our wedding date was available. He also included more information on what they offer and pricing. I was impressed with the packages they offered and how affordable they were. Booking was simple! The personal portal was easy to navigate. We were able to complete the checklists on the portal with all the little details for our day. This saves so much time and stress! We received email updates and things as we got closer to our wedding day. Great communication! Our DJ, Justin, called a few days before the wedding to go over any questions for our day. He was super nice! The day of the wedding, Justin was the best! He did everything we wanted him to without any mistakes or issues. He took song requests, let the matron of honor karaoke, and even played a very special audio message from a loved one. Justin played all the best songs and kept everyone on the dance floor all night long. Our guests had nothing but good things to say about him. We had the best experience with this company. I was able to describe our vision, and have it executed flawlessly. Their payment and organization systems were straightforward and easy to use(which helps to decrease a bride's overall workload). Our DJ, Mason, was kind, professional, and very quickly read the vibe of the room and adjusted to our family's chaos. We added the photo booth and it was a hit! DJ Mason was AMAZING! We quite literally have not stopped hearing from friends and family about our wedding that was nearly a month ago about how great the DJ was at our wedding. He kept the party going, mixing songs perfectly and there was never a dull moment.

Hiring Big Sand Productions for our wedding was a definite win! We had a great experience with the DJ that was sent to us on our wedding day. This company is very professional and handled everything from start to finish, all we had to do was tell them what we wanted. Big Sand is efficient and organized. They provided a webpage for us to log all of our wedding details and requests for our special day. We received a phone call from our DJ to go over everything the week before the wedding. Our DJ was at the venue setting up and ready to go before we even arrived. Working with Pete and Lanise for our Dj was one of the best decisions we did. Lanise was our DJ and she made the whole process so easy and seamless! If I needed to talk things out, she would hop on a zoom call and we would chat. She also was really helpful because we had my Brother-in-Law and Best Friend sing our first dance and she really guided us on getting the write guitar cord, step up, and have a trail run before the wedding. Everyone loved the dancing! 10/10!

DJ Mason with Big Sands was incredible. Took our playlist and filled in the gaps so we had a full night of music that was just our vibe. He's amazing at live mixing, so you don't have to listen to all 3-4 minutes of a song, he smoothly gets you into the good part of a song and then onto the next song. At brunch the next morning, people couldn't stop talking about how good the DJ was. Planning from top to bottom through Big Sands was so easy, they take such good care of their couples and DJs. They honestly made our wedding such a party and the dance floor was full til last call at midnight. 10/10.Big Sand Productions's reply:

If I could give them more than 5 stars I would! Big Sand Productions were truly amazing and cannot recommend enough. Pete was so incredibly kind and helpful from beginning to end and was even our DJ the day of. He was so good at his job I really don't think we got off the dance floor once the entire night. There was never a dull moment on the dance floor and helped me pull off an epic surprise for my husband and was so down to help with it! The business themselves are very professional and the portal made me have the upmost confidence that the day would go smoothly and it sure did. We got married on 1/25/25 and Pete and his team were amazing throughout the entire planning process! They are very responsive and I never had any issues hearing back from them. We used their DJ services and their photobooth services, which were very fairly priced! The online portal they provide to help with planning was super easy to use and was a huge help for coordinating the timeline of everything. Ty was our DJ the day of and he did an amazing job!! He was friendly, professional, and kept the dance floor popping all night. My friends and I were exhausted from all of the dancing we did :) We got a lot of compliments on the music and the photo booth was a hit! We had the pleasure of working with Ty, Pete, and Big Sand Production for our wedding in Chicago.
Right from the initial call with Pete, we had a good feeling about working with Big Sand. He was clear, genuine, and friendly. His team also provided excellent service and were responsive whenever we had questions.
We were assigned DJ Ty and he was great to worth with. He accommodated our request to meet early to free up more time for us the week of the wedding. On the day of the wedding, he showed up early to the venue to set up the equipment that would be needed for the ceremony, reception/speeches and dance floor. Ty used a nice blend of our "must plays" and coupled them with songs he picked using his expertise. The dance floor was exciting and we had an absolute blast all night.
Overall, we were very happy to work with Big Sand Production and would highly recommend them. Our wedding day was so special, and Ty's emceeing made for an unforgettable time on the dance floor. Thank you!Big Sand Productions's reply:

Working with Big Sand Productions was wonderful right from our initial call with Pete. Our DJ was Mason. The pre-event call with him was exceptionally detailed and put our minds at ease about our upcoming wedding. Mason was key in keeping the evening flowing, and we received many rave reviews from our guests about his work. A couple things that really stood out to us: 1. He did a phenomenal job of reading the room and keeping the our many dancy guests on the floor, especially since we didn't provide many "must play" songs. 2. I've seen DJs blend right from one tune to the next, but never have I seen anyone foreshadow the upcoming song. Incredible, and I had several other friends comment on it as well. Overall, I can't recommend Big Sand Productions enough. They are a fantastic group of people to work with and made our wedding better than we could have imagined.Big Sand Productions's reply:

Fantastic Service. Pete and DJ Evan are the BEST! We had DJ Evan for our event and he was fantastic. Big Sand was so professional from start to finish. Working with Pete was a breeze and we really enjoyed working with him! Day of DJ Evan coordinated with our wedding planner and was at the venue early, all set up, and ready to go for cocktail hour and I didn't have to worry about a thing! For our First Dances, DJ Evan was so easy to work with to play specific parts of the song (so it wasn't too long) and he nailed it! The dancing of the evening was so fun!! DJ Evan was amazing at playing the best parts of the song and moving on so it didn't get boring. Our venue told us they have never seen the dance floor as packed as it was at our event!!! Pete and Evan were very flexible, listened to our needs and wants, and made the day run so smoothly! Something I really wanted was a confident MC that would announce us perfectly, keep the dance floor moving, and keep our event Professional and classy but fun. Evan nailed all of this. I cannot recommend Big Sand enough! Pete was so helpful and communicative through the entire process. He was always there to answer our questions and work with us with whatever we needed. Then, our DJ Mason was absolutely amazing. We felt so comfortable going into the wedding after chatting on the phone with him. He didn’t rush us and really made sure to ask all the questions to ensure he could feel out the vibe for the night. He did such a great job getting the entire crowd hyped up and excited. We can not say enough great things about the service Big Sand Productions provided for our wedding. It was such a blessing to work with DJ Pete leading up to and finally on our big day. He was very thorough with the initial planning process, and provides a helpful outline to provide all song requests, key detailed moments, ceremony and reception timelines and much more. We were involved with all decisions and Pete made sure our preferences were prioritized and checked everything with us a few days prior to the wedding, to make it our vision on the day of. He made sure all vendors were working together and had all things moving well behind the scenes to make our day about celebrating us! We were in the planning process for a few years before our big day came to life, and DJ Pete was with us from the beginning, working with us to meet all our needs. Pete and Said knocked it out of the park for our wedding! Pete was always responsive, helpful, and communicative. He only ever made the planning process easier for us. Said was an excellent DJ, he helped us with some special requests and clarified any questions as soon as we had them. We loved having Big Sand Productions DJ our wedding! Our DJ, Mason, was super awesome to work with. He listened to us describe the vibe we were looking for and made it happen. Our dancefloor was always lively!
The owner Pete, was also amazing to work with. I had a specific vision for walking down the aisle, and he was able to assist me with cutting and editing the music. He was also always quick to respond to my emails.
Overall, we owe so much of what made our special day so fun to Big Sand Productions. If you're looking for a DJ for your wedding or any other event, I would highly recommend them!! (And I would also recommend the cold sparks, they were HUGE hit!)Big Sand Productions's reply:

What can we say about Pete and Big Sand Productions... Freakin' fantastic! We booked Pete, who is also the founder of the business, to DJ our wedding and we couldn't have been happier working with him and his team. He was super simply to work with, a great communicator, and made the entire process easy. He immediately got our style of music and kept the party going all night long. If this says anything about him, my wife was on the dance floor all night long! What we really enjoyed is that all of their staff are also certified coordinators. This made it super simple to work with him as he was able to fill in the little gaps where our coordinator needed assistance when necessary.
We also opted to book their Photo Booth which was an absolute hit at the reception. They provided everything - backdrops, props, multiple prints for guests as well as our guest book, and all the photo files for sharing online as well. (We literally spent hours looking through them all afterwards laughing and reminiscing with friends & family.)
If you're looking for a wedding DJ, or a DJ for any event, Pete and his team are a great choice and make the entire process super easy.Big Sand Productions's reply:

Working with Big Sand Productions was the best decision we made for our wedding. We specifically worked with Pete. Pete was so diligent in asking questions about how we wanted the music/ vibe to sound like, when to coordinate when each song/dance, and even helped add some special details to our wedding: COLD SPARKLERS & FAIRY LIGHTS!!! During our first call with Big Sand Productions, Pete was extremely helpful in outlining their services and what to expect. He also outlined the various DJ experience level options. Their online portal is very easy to use as well. Our DJ, Said, contacted us about a week prior to our event to make sure he understood the vibe we wanted with each part of our reception including the cocktail hour, dinner and dancing. He provided some suggested playlist formats that we could review and let him know what we liked. We had so many compliments on our music. Everyone loved it. Just got married yesterday! We had the pleasure to work with Said as our DJ from Big Sand productions, and he absolutely killed it!
He prioritized timing the songs for us perfectly for our processional and grand entrance, and was a pleasure to work with. My now husband and I were the most anxious about the music and Said and Pete were able to sway those anxieties and let us enjoy our day knowing it was in professional and experienced hands!

We Love Our DJ! We were lucky to have Evan as our DJ and MC. He worked with us to learn who we were and what we wanted the feel of our wedding to be. He read the room so well and made sure everyone had a good time. He timed all of our events and songs perfectly. He even took the time to know each person in the party so he could give them their moment how they would want it to be. Said was our wedding DJ from Big Sand, and I could not recommend him and Big Sand more! Big Sand was very communicative during our planning process, and their online forms to fill out were pretty straightforward and easy to use. Said reached out to us a few days before the wedding to make sure we were all on the same page, which we appreciated a lot. He had folks of all ages out on the dance floor for the whole night!

We had Pete from Big Sand Productions as our wedding DJ, on August 25th, 2023. Nothing but an amazing experience from day one!
We started with a consultation call right away when we wanted to book a DJ. He was the only DJ we talked to, and I was 100% confident with my decision from that call. He was friendly, professional, and a joy to talk to. Booking him was easy, and any questions I had for him during the planning process were answered almost immediately via email. When it got closer to the wedding, we were given an online website to fill out all of our wedding information, and to make our play list. He checked in with us again right before the wedding to confirm everything, and checked in again with us on the wedding day to make sure all names were pronounced correctly and that the order of events was set. His song picks were nothing but perfect. Everyone was dancing all night long and we didn't want the night to end! He picked songs that were perfect for my group of people, including some Spanish hits. How did he know?! Haha.
I wish I had some pics to attach to this review, but we're still waiting for our wedding photos to come back. Hopefully I can add pics later!
Pete made the entire process seamless and enjoyable from start to finish and we highly recommend him to anyone and everyone!

Pete was absolutely incredible to work with for our wedding reception! We were so impressed with him during our consult call that we knew we wanted to book Big Sand Productions right away and were even more excited that Pete himself was available for our day! Throughout planning the client portal was super user-friendly, but Pete was also so helpful, responsive and went above and beyond to take extra stress off our plate. For example, we had a playlist that we wanted to play songs from and instead of having to manually add each song in the portal, Pete offered to do that work for us, so all we had to do was send him a link to our playlist! He handled our entire day seamlessly, had the perfect energy, and kept the dance floor rockin' all night long! We got compliments all night about how great our DJ was and STILL get compliments about how good of a job he did! 10/10 would recommend Big Sand Productions, especially Pete if he is available for your event!! :)Big Sand Productions's reply:

I can’t say enough good things about Big Sand Productions (Pete)! I will start off with his responsiveness, timeliness, and attention to detail. It does not go unnoticed! My wife, Liz and I used Big Sand Productions for our wedding in July 2023 and we could not be happier with the choice we made! Pete, the owner, was extremely responsive and worked with us the entire way. Then, our DJ, Mason, was AMAZING! From cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing, Mason always played the perfect songs for the situation. Then, once dancing started, he had the dance floor packed the entire night and even mixed together two of our favorite songs for our first dance. From start to end, Big Sand Productions was the best to work with and we would highly recommend them for a wedding!
