  They made out night!

  I found Big Lucky on the internet and after never hearing them in person, was pleasantly surprised (and relieved!) that they are awesome. Paul was professional and communicative leading up to the event. On the night of they set up quickly and easily. The female lead singer (sorry I don't know her name) is talented and personable. She interacted with me when I needed to make announcements and was absolutely wonderful from the first song, to the last. I highly recommend the Big Lucky -- they made my event a success!

  We could not have been happier with Big Lucky! They completely understood the type of experience we wanted to create for our guests, from the ceremony to the cocktail hour to the reception. They provided a unique musical quality to each portion of the day. We received lots of compliments on their music, and they really set the tone for a good time! Val and Paul were great to work with, responsive to our requests and brilliant in their suggestions. They are the best!!

  Wow!!!! I was looking for a band for my La La Land themed graduation party for my son. I found these guys! The reviews were amazing and so I went with it! They did not disappoint! Paul was very responsive to my needs and these guys have a huge repertoire of songs! I got a 5 piece band and Val sang for us! What an awesome voice! She also wanted to make sure that she was accommodating which I totally appreciated! They in fact do know how to feel the crowd out a liven up the party! I got so
  Many compliments from my guests! They were blown away! I told Paul that I was hoping to bring them back to my house for another party in the future! If you are looking for a band I highly recommend Big Lucky!

  Big Lucky is amazing - helped coordinate the music, organize the setup, do the announcements and keep to the timeline with venue coordinator. We just got to enjoy the wedding. Very professional, excellent musicians.

  Our experience was AMAZING!!!!
  They are PROS. If you want to work with a team that is truly professional - they are they way to go. And they are incredibly talented musicians. I ended up also hiring Valerie to Cantor our WEDDING MASS. She was an amazing resource for me during the wedding planning phases and navigating music planning. I really wanted a lot of "smooth jazz" and maybe a different vibe than the band was used to - but they NAILED IT. Brought 3 different saxophones and KILLED IT. Our guests were complimenting us on our choice of band all night (and still days after the party) They are amazing and really good people. That was actually one of the reasons I went with them right off the bat because Paul called me right back and we were able to chat about music and venues. They are good people and true professionals. We were happy to have them fit right in with our family and give a perfect flow to our evening. We love Big Lucky!!! Thank you, Paul & Valerie! We love you so much xoxoxo Steph & Eddie

  We searched for a band that would match our taste in music and theme. We wanted a band who would bring life to our party so guests will have amazing memory of our wedding party-- Big lucky fits perfectly.
  
  Very easy to work with- we were in contact through email and they always respond right away. A few weeks before the wedding we had a conference call to discuss and be on the same page on what we wanted and what they can offer. They will work with your request in terms of music.
  
  Our guests were dancing and enjoyed the party. Love their vintage style. They give you a list of songs you can choose from. Even added more of our preferred party music mixing my taste and my husbands. From our parents to our nephews and nieces who enjoyed and danced to their music. My relatives whom i would never see dance, they did and it was fun to watch everyone enjoying.
  
  Valerie was very organized, even though my coordinator (who did a poor job) sent wrong information, Valerie emailed me right away to confirm and asked me directly, I mean she really did an excellent job, Im thankful she confirmed with me and not the coordinator. The sequence of our reception wouldn't have been perfect if it wasn't for her.
  
  They even had a PA system and played their music while they were on breaks and had a wireless microphone when speeches were made.
  
  They were a sport even though it was a hot day (being the stage outside on a hot summer day), they still performed great regardless of the situation. We had fun having them as our band.

  Our wedding ceremony was a formal church affair, and so when it came to the reception, it was really important that we set a contrasting tone from the outset, letting us guests know that we intended to do some serious partying! Music was therefore the single most important ingredient to a successful night, and without doubt, Big Lucky brought it home for us!
  
  We spent months trying to find the right band, but so many of them felt cheesy and old-fashioned. Big Lucky is anything but that. They have an air of cool sophistication about them, but they also know how to ramp up the energy and get people moving on the dancefloor.
  
  They’re also incredibly inventive and came up with the creative solution of a New Orleans inspired marching line (a combination of brass and percussion) to move guests from one area of the reception venue to another (it solved many headaches, as it was becoming a major roadblock in the design of how we wanting the night to unfold).
  
  Val and Paul also helped us tremendously in the selection of the music. We looked through their songbook and pulled out a few favorites, but beyond that, we told them the genres to gravitate to (and away from) and they put together the perfect playlist. Our only regret is that our couple portraits took so long that we didn’t get a huge amount of time to hear their performances during the cocktail hour, but our guests were raving about them when we arrived.
  
  Big Lucky also played background music during dinner, and took us into our first dance (a special request that Val and Paul worked on an arrangement for) … and then into that incredibly cool New Orleans line. It’s one of those unique, precious memories we have of our wedding that will live with us forever.

  My wife and I were married on June 27, 2015 at the Cicada in Los Angeles, California. The theme was 1920s-1940s (Art Deco & Noir), we were seeking a 'Swing Band,’ and I'd begun the search for our band about eight months prior.
  After fruitless Google, Yahoo!, and Bing searches I finally located BIG LUCKY via a competitor’s website and reached out to Paul… who promptly responded within 24 hours with clarity in communication. After more research (including listening to BIG LUCKY tracks on Spotify) we fairly quickly opted to book them sight unseen.
  
  Paul introduced us to Val (Vocalist and Masterful MC) and we discussed at length (via conference calls) the must plays, the must not plays, genres, mood, atmosphere, and our First Dance song (both beautiful and flawless).
  The evening went off without a hitch, numerous guests inquired about the band raising high praise, and by complete accident they played my grandmother’s favorite song (their repertoire is impressive to say the least).
  
  Paul and Val are communicative, master musicians and artists. They were as involved as we wished them to be and were openly responsive to our needs/queries/desires. I cannot stress enough how important this is -- when you are planning your wedding, anything to help ease the compounding issues and decision-making is more welcome and needed than you think.
  
  I could go on for many, many paragraphs about how incredible Paul, Val and their family (eight-piece) were -- from that deep repertoire and charisma to their look, talents and energy, to their uniformed style and class. To say we are impressed and satisfied lacks the justice and praise deserved here. Each of the 5 stars gets 5 stars.
  
  Thank you, Val and Paul (and your colleagues), you were amazing and everyone absolutely loved you. The day may have whizzed by in a romantic blur, but people always remember good music.

  Big Lucky brought just the right amount of wow-factor to our wedding reception. They are glamorous, energetic, professional and extremely talented. They were one of the first vendors we booked and their style really helped focus the tone and theme for our "vintage with a twist" event.
  
  Traveling them up from LA to our Northern California winery venue was one of the best decisions we made in terms of planning our big day. Their retro city-style was such an amazing contrast to the modern-industrial barn and it made our antique decor and my 1930's style dress make sense in an otherwise rural environment. Their signature sound made a night of very eclectic songs (Bob Marley, The Beatles, Pharrel, etc) feel cohesive and timeless.
  
  Communication with the band prior (mostly via Paul and Val) to the event was PERFECT....just enough for me to get to know them, communicate the important details and just trust that they would take care of the rest, which they did brilliantly. We've attended a LOT of weddings in our days, and we were so thrilled to see our guests all up and dancing up a storm (even my 94 year old grandma). We were also thrilled with the lack of overdone corny wedding music fare....our night felt fresh and modern with just the right tip of the hat to music of the past that we love.

  We met Val and Paul as a recommendation from our planner and our venue. Right away we knew they were our band for our great gatsby wedding. We loved their ideas and they enhanced ours as we knew what songs we wanted right from the beginning. I always wanted Ave Maria to be sung as I walked down the aisle. Instead of the recorded version, Valerie sung it live and it was beautiful. Having a band for our wedding day was amazing and our guests are still talking about the unbelievably great time they had at our wedding.

  Versatile and talented!

  The Big Lucky Band played our wedding this past October and they did an amazing job! Selecting the perfect band was my number one priority and I interview dozens of bands before finding the perfect one - Big Lucky. Paul, the band leader, was very professional and accommodating to special song requests. Valerie, the lead singer, was amazing on stage, with a very charismatic charm. This band's musical repertoire in unmatched. I couldn't believe how many songs they knew and the breadth of their musical knowledge. Wide variety of genres and styles to include the love languages. Valerie can sing it all.
  Thank you, Big Lucky for making our wedding day the most wonderful, elegant, and memorable experience. Our guests loved you! We loved you!

Paul, the band leader, was very professional and accommodating to special song requests. Valerie, the lead singer, was amazing on stage, with a very charismatic charm. This band's musical repertoire in unmatched. I couldn't believe how many songs they knew and the breadth of their musical knowledge. Wide variety of genres and styles to include the love languages. Valerie can sing it all.
