Rev Tod was perfect!

Working with Rev Tod was so easy and fun. We wanted a non-religious ceremony and he was happy to provide just what we wanted without judgement. The ceremony was personal and tailored to us and our relationship with every line. He helped us every step of the way picking out what to say and even suggested a unity ceremony for us to do that we'd never heard of - it was unique and special and our guests remarked how original it was! We wrote our own vows and Rev Tod read them for us before the wedding and made sure they matched in length and tone which was very helpful! I would highly recommend Rev Tod especially to those wanting a non-religious ceremony that's all about the couple and their story!

We were blessed to find the wonderful Rev. Tod Coles for our 25th wedding anniversary vow renewal celebration. I could not have asked for a more perfect ceremony. Working with Rev. Tod was incredibly simple - with just a few conversations he was able to gather the information he needed to lead a beautiful, personal and intimate ceremony. It was like he knew us for years! Rev. Tod has a very joyful, casual yet professional demeanor about him and it made our simple ceremony so very special. Can't wait to call on Rev. Tod when we renew our vows in another 25 years!

Tod was amazing, when we first met I was instantly at ease and he helped any questions we had about having an officiant! He gave us plenty of options for vows and was always there if we had a question!

Jason Cobbs officiated our wedding and he was wonderful. We had several conversations leading up to the ceremony and he listened to everything we wanted. He showed up on time, was super pleasant with my family (everyone commented on how nice he was) and he gave us a beautiful ceremony. He delivered everything we asked for, and did it with such genuine love. Jason really enjoys officiating and it's so obvious when he's standing in front of you at the alter. I loved having him in our photos because his smile is so genuine. He truly was a joy to work with.

Rev. Tod Coles with Big Love Weddings was everything we were looking for our wedding ceremony. He made the process very easy and took a lot of the stress out of such a big decision. We knew we wanted to book Tod the night we met him. He has such a friendly, courteous and sincere personality; we liked him immediately! Not only did he take the time to meet with us and get a feel for our personalities what we were looking for in an Officiant, he provided ideas and guidance in making the ceremony exactly what we wanted- and in the end it was perfect!!

Rev. Coles did an amazing job officiating our wedding at Duke Mansion! He was more than willing to meet with us a couple times to walk through the ceremony and talk through our vow options. We asked him to keep our ceremony light and relaxed ceremony while still honoring the commitment we were making to each other and he did that perfectly!

Rev Tod Coles made our ceremony a truly memorable one! He got to know us so well that he was able to personalize his comments to us and our guests. He added humor to our ceremony which is definitely our style. Many of our guests made comments after the ceremony on how much they enjoyed Rev Coles. My husband and I got married on a Friday morning in a very small and intimate ceremony. Rev. Tod was a wonderful officiant and he created a very special and moving ceremony for us. We especially appreciated his willingness in respecting our wishes for a non-traditional and secular ceremony. Any couple would appreciate his humor, grace and attention to detail for their wedding; he’s also very easy to work with. I highly recommend his services to anyone who wishes to get married in the Charlotte area.

My wife and I are extremely pleased with Tod Coles at Big Love Weddings. We are both from out the Charlotte area and did not have anyone we knew to marry us. We were referred to Big Love weddings from one of our close friends in the area and are so happy that we chose Tod. He is a very likable guy and was extremely attentive to what we were looking for in our ceremony. He answered all of our questions and gave us some great ideas as well. He even took our marriage certificate after the ceremony and mailed it in for us so that we did not have to keep track of it during the reception. I would highly recommend Tod to anyone looking for a wedding officiant.

I was very pleased by the services we received from Rev. Tod Coles. He did an excellent job officiating our wedding just the way we asked. I was even late and he had another wedding to do the same day and he did not rush the wedding. I think i was more worried about getting him out of there on time then he was! He did an excellent job in keeping me calm on the big day. I would highly recommend using Reverend Tod for anyone looking to get married in the future.

Rev Tod Coles captured us completely with his funny and witty ceremony dedication. He delivered a beautiful wedding ceremony for our audience, not completely religious but definitely described how to create a loving successful marriage with God, your family, and friends. Also, when we met up for our initial consultation he gave us great advice how to incorporate our son within the unity candle ceremony. For a couple that wanted a professional traditional wedding without having an everyday church to perform to reach out to for a pastor, Rev. Todd was on point. From the first meeting to the day of he was knowledgeable and his experience really helped in our desicions. I would recommend him over and over for his prompt and professional service. It goes beyond just the professional part though, he has a wonderful smile and personality that makes you feel like you have known him for much longer and he fits right in with the people and the pictures so you have no "odd" shots of a stranger.

Tod Coles was highly recommended by my wedding planner to use as my officiant. From our first meeting with Tod, my husband and I felt a genuine warmth, comfort, and understanding that set us as ease in a process that could have lent to being a stressful one. Tod immediately understood the tone we wanted to set for our wedding ceremony and collaborated with us in designing our wedding ceremony that truly felt like "us". Tod guided us through our wedding ceremony, building a comfort that eased any nerves. His readings were pertinent to us in describing what marriage is and will be for us. I could not say more good things about Tod Coles. He was kind, professional and was very concerned with making the ceremony perfect to our requests. My husband and I could not be happier with our choice of Big Love Weddings for our wedding ceremony! Reverend Tod was great from the very beginning. He was very accommodating when arranging meetings to discuss his services and what we were looking for for our big day, and he was very quick to respond to any emails or calls we had during the whole planning process. We wanted a ceremony that wasn't overly religious, and one that wasn't boring. :) We asked him to keep it a light and relaxed ceremony, while still honoring the commitment we were making to each other. He did absolutely perfect! We had quite a few folks both during and after our wedding state how professional and pleasant Rev. Tod was. We are very thankful and we couldn't be more pleased. We highly recommend Big Love Weddings!

I called Rev. Coles on Tues for a ceremony on Friday. He answered my call and said he was available. I don't really know how much officiants cost but was not extremely concerned since we had not other expenses. Our wedding was at McGill Rose Garden in Charlotte with about 30 friends and family attending. The vows were the hardest part of the planning. I sent the ceremony to him at 9:00 the night before the wedding that was at 11am the next morning. He did an excellent job with such little notice and brought the music as well that we picked out 10 min before the ceremony. Several friends commented on what a nice job he did and thought that we had spent much more time planning.

Rev. Tod was great! He combined my traditional catholic background with my husband's less religious one into a meaningful ceremony with a nod to the traditional, but without all of the pomp and circumstance. It was exactly what we wanted, and it truly reflected us as a couple! I would highly recommend Rev. Tod!

Tod Coles has a one of a kind personality, which definitely added to the happiness of our day. He was truly a wonderful element to the ceremony. Reverend Tod Coles really completed our wedding experience. Tod is AWESOME! I could not have asked for a better ceremony. He was very professional and personal. My guests and family commented all night about what a great ceremony it was and how much FUN Tod made it. I would highly recommend Tod.

We wanted a laid-back, non-traditional ceremony. Todd gave us exactly what we wanted and helped make our day perfect and memorable. We love the personal touches he added and the humor he infused - he also did a great job helping everyone know what to do next, especially since we didn't have a rehearsal, and he rolled well with the punches, like when our daughter started acting like her 15 mos old self, throwing flowers everywhere in the front row! We are so happy we choose Tod to be our minister for this very special day for us!

Todd provided thoughtful and considerate council regarding how to create a service that suited our desires. He was open to our wishes and fully supported us in defining a ceremony that reflected our beliefs and feelings. Reverend Tod was the third officiant we met with. The first two were just not the right fit for us. Once our initial consult with Rev. Tod was completed, we knew he was the one and reserved the date with him on the spot. He was full of great suggestions for ceremony options and provided various language samples from which to choose from. He was genuinely interested in the quality of the service and made it clear that we had a choice in all decisions and reminded us that we had options when it came to working with our other vendors. This is easy to forget or not even be aware of which is why I'm glad he didn't let us forget that. His response time was super quick and he always provided more than enough information. We received several compliments on his heartfelt service and would highly recommend him to anyone!

Tod was a great Officiant, He helped ease our minds about or wedding. We planned our wedding on a tight budget, and timeframe, and were worried we would mess something up. Rev. Tod helped us get through our ceremony without any probloms. I would highly recomend him to anyone needing an Officiant. Very professional, Worked all of our requests into the ceremony. He conducted a traditional style wedding for us with the addition of a sand ceremony including our children. He even helped us with vows to read to the stepchildren.

Reverend Tod performed our wedding in July of 2010 and we were thrilled to have him. This was a second wedding for both of us and we really wanted to include my small daughter in the ceremony. Reverend Tod met with us several times throughout our planning and offered us a ton of great ideas for incorporating her into the ceremony. We were able to customize our vows with his help and the wedding ended up being EXACTLY what we wanted to celebrate the start of our new family. Throughout the planning process, the preparation and the actual day, Reverend Tod was a great resource. He made sure that we had the ceremony we wanted. He made sure that our special day had the look, the feel and the joy we wanted to express. On our wedding day, it was like being married by a good friend that really cared about us. Thanks, Reverend, for making our wedding day all that we wanted and more! We couldn't have done it without you!

Rev. Todd was absolutely amazing! He made us laugh, made us cry... it was great! To be honest, I was a basket of nerves, so I don't remember the entire ceremony, but I remember looking around and noticing that people were actually listening to him, not staring off in to space, or on their phones, like I've seen at some weddings. He wasn't long winded, but made sure to take the time to acknowledge our relationship and what it meant to us. He did great with the unity ceremony as well.
We hired him almost a year before our wedding date and he was more than willing to meet with us a 2nd time closer to our wedding to go over everything once more (since he's familiar with how often a bride's mind can change). His prices were a bit higher than a few of the other officiants we met with, but it was well worth it. Thank you Rev. Todd for a beautiful and heartwarming ceremony!

My wife and I were overjoyed by Reverend Coles' encapsulation of the message we sought to convey to each other, as well as to our friends and family. Rev, Coles was the officiant at my daughter's wedding on April 30, 2016 in Winston Salem, N.C. He did a fantastic job. He was very personable, easy going and had a great sense of humor. He explained to everyone before the ceremony what was going to happen and when. He made everyone feel at ease. I would highly recommend him to anyone planning their wedding.

Tod did a great job with our Ceremony!!
We are not tired to a church here in Charlotte so when we originally met with Tod we instantly felt comfortable and at ease with him. He really helped us create a custom ceremony that fit our personalities and non-religious feel we wanted. He was able to provide great material with typical ceremony order, readings, and verbiage. He was also great with letting us add in extra readings, a wine unity ceremony, and everything felt so customized and flowed so effortlessly. We were so happy with Tod and his services. He is a bubbly, sweet, man and will work with any couple and provide exactly what YOU want!

My fiance and I were not aligned on how to approach the ceremony aspect of our wedding. We both knew it was very important but for different reasons. I come from a strict Catholic upbringing but no longer actively practice and he more of an agnostic & spiritual - but not religous. Reverend Tod Coles met with us over lunch and asked us some questions about how we met, what we loved about each other, how was the proposal done, and what words we would use to describe one another. From that brief meeting, Rev Tod Coles was able to create a beautiful wedding ceremony that fit us perfectly. Rev Tod Coles was funny, charming and soothing --- much like my husband. :) I highly recommend Rev Tod Coles!!

Big Love Weddings was a great choice!

Rev Tod married us in Oct 2022, he was very easy to work with and did a great job with our ceremony! We met virtually prior, we trusted his expertise and he did an awesome job on wedding day! Rev. Tod was so great on our wedding day. The only thing we didn't like so much was that he doesn't go to your rehearsal and gets to the wedding just right before it start- but honestly he is so good at what he does and has been doing it for so long that he doesn't really need to be there. I think I was just very worried because I was an anxious bride and worried about everything. If you are that way then it can make you a little uneasy, but everything ended up just fine and we got several compliments on our minister. I can't wait to see video from our ceremony!
