Henry DJ'ed our wedding and really went above and beyond. From our first call, he was extremely diligent in figuring out what we were looking for, documenting every detail, and explaining every part of how he would fit in to our big day. When we had a few extra questions and request in the weeks leading up to the day, Henry was extremely responsive and worked with us with all the extra details to make them happen. He even had great suggestions and clarifications to make sure we were getting exactly what we wanted. When the day arrived, everything came together like a well oiled machine. All of the logistics of different locations went off without a hitch, and when the dance floor opened up, we kept having our guests come up to us and tell us how awesome the DJ and the dance floor were. Wish we could get married again to book Henry again! -

We worked with Woody for our July 2025 wedding at Nestldown. He went above and beyond for our wedding day, keeping the pace of the day moving with the right ambience. The dance floor was SUCH a highlight -- everyone had a great time. He was also really easy to coordinate with in advance of the wedding -- gave clear direction on what he needed from us, and kept things organized. I also really appreciate the way he supported us when one of our other musicians (unrelated to Big Fun) were being difficult last minute. It was a stressful moment and Woody had my back, encouraging them to stick with the plan. Everything went off without a hitch. Thanks again!!! -

We had such an incredible experience with Big Fun Disc Jockeys! We had top notch communication from the start of the process to the end. It was extremely impressive how quick and thoughtful their responses were. I’d like to shout out Henry in particular for his professionalism and communication, who came recommended by our venue. Everything behind the scenes was extremely seamless. The day of, he included all our favorite songs, pronounced everyone’s names correctly as the MC, and kept everything flowing with an upbeat and fun nature. We got a lot of compliments! When I got engaged, I reached out to a couple of DJs just to get some quotes but BIG FUN Disc Jockeys immediately won me over by their amazing energy! Paul was the first person I spoke to and he was amazing in understanding exactly what we were looking for and seemed genuinely excited about our day in every conversation! Woody was our DJ assigned to our wedding and he knocked it out of the park! I had a couple of particular ideas about song timing for entrances and special moments and he nailed it all! One of my family members even commented how seamless the transition from the groom’s entrance song was to the bride’s song and thought he remixed it to work so well together! Everyone had an amazing time and I truly believe a big part of it was thanks to Woody for keeping the best vibes with the perfect music! Thank you again Woody!! -

We LOVED working with DJ Henry for our wedding, and felt so lucky he was available for it. Yes he had the room dancing in their seats during dinner, and yes we got so many compliments from our guests as he played banger after banger all throughout the reception, but those actually weren't even the best parts about working with him:
-First, he's a dream to work with. He set up a detailed checklist for us to work through, responded to every email in less than 24 hours, and worked really hard to make sure he did a great job for us -- from understanding what we wanted in each moment (and more than knowing how to handle a hora) to making sure he knew how to pronounce everyone's names throughout.
-You know you're in good hands for everything beyond the dancing too. Henry mixed sound for our ceremony as well, muting us when appropriate so we could have our own moments up there, and making sure we, our officiant, and our readers all sounded great otherwise.
-He made sure we had the right cuts of every song we wanted to use for special moments -- turning around options for us to choose from basically overnight -- and when we had a song we wanted to process to but it had parts that were too high pitched, he made a new version that toned that down and worked perfectly for us (also overnight!).
Truly could not be happier we had DJ Henry for our wedding, or recommend him more highly! -

We used Big Fun DJ (Henry Kim) for our wedding and highly recommend their service! From the first time we met with Henry, we know we'd be in good hands - he was extremely organized and went through the day with all his touchpoints in the most clear way possible. And we were right. Communication with Henry is a breeze - he always summarizes our meetings afterwards with detailed notes, clear action items, and deadlines. We had a wide selection of music for dinner and the dance floor, including having one of our friends who's also a DJ do a set in the middle and incorporating English as well as Chinese songs, and Henry handled all that very well. The dance floor was packed and the vibes are great. Thank you Henry! -

He made us feel so energized during our 6-week-out planning call–which was top freak out time for me—laying out so clearly what we could expect and how he would run things as MC. He made us so many thoughtful song edits to make sure we had the absolutely best choices to fit our vibe (and accommodate our aversion to dancing to three minute long songs). He kept the dance floor going strong all evening, navigated the transitions between him and our live entertainment seamlessly, and spoke excellent phonetic Spanish. We booked Henry for our wedding in May 2024 and felt that he did an excellent job of managing the festivities throughout the whole day! When looking at the DJ / entertainment options for our big day, we knew we wanted to make sure that people really compelled to actually get up and dance.
Henry came recommended to us through our planner who mentioned that he had the guests at her last wedding absolutely SWEATING on the dance floor. That sounded just perfect to us!
We had a special request music compilation for a combination father/daughter mother/son dance that Henry was able to turn around to us in absolutely record time! It made our lives so much easier since we no longer had to struggle with making a bootleg quality cut with youtube and a free version of audacity
Henry had great attention to detail when it came to the pronunciations of everyone's names (including those of our parents and whole wedding party). Additionally, he provided us with a convenient way of breaking down our music selections by category (ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, wedding party walk in, etc.). This made the process of curating the tone of the day much easier since we were able to pick music to match each place and time.
Even though our group was mixed generations, Henry did a great job getting everyone up and dancing with a mix of music that catered well to all ages and demographics.
We highly recommend Big Fun for your next big (or small) event! -

We cannot thank Woody enough for his excellent DJ and MC services for our wedding at Villa Montalvo. The moment we met with him on Zoom for our pre-wedding meeting, we were so confident that we were in excellent hands. We felt so comfortable around him- he is approachable, friendly, professional, easygoing, detail oriented, and very funny. We had never navigated wedding planning before, so he gave us much needed and helpful advice on how to plan our ceremony and timeline as a whole. It definitely helped that he also asked us important announcements to make to the guests because the guests were effortlessly guided to the next event without any stress.
Woody executed the ceremony very well. All the music was played at the right times, and he even spent the time looping our processional songs so that we would not have to awkwardly walk in silence at any point. He worked so hard at home to prepare for the wedding day so that we would have great music. Woody also was great at clarifying our must-haves for the ceremony, which we appreciated because we knew we were in great hands with him.
For our cocktail hour and dinner, Woody was a fantastic MC. Everyone knew what was happening or what was coming next, and his upbeat energy matched the vibe without interjecting too much into the events - it was really perfect! For our grand entrance, he was flexible on when to play the start of the song, and also cut our first dance song to be 2 minutes so that we could hear our favorite parts without dancing for too long. We are so appreciative of his hard work in cutting the song prior to the wedding for us to have the most perfect first dance that we envisioned.
We had an EPIC dance floor with Woody. We had SO MUCH FUN. He knew how to keep the dance floor going and played all the right songs. We had a playlist for him to use and he decided when to play certain songs depending on his expertise and experience with which songs play best at the beginning vs end of dancing and it was perfect. We had a special request for him to play All I Want For Christmas Is You as our last dance song and his intro for that song was so great - Woody rolled with our idea, and everyone had a great time with it and it was very memorable. We especially loved that his DJ set up included strobe lights and a fog machine - it is the little details that make a huge difference!
Overall we highly recommend Big Fun Disc Jockeys and Woody for your DJ services. We had a busy packed timeline but Woody executed it so well; we had SO much fun at dancing and we owe it all to you Woody! -

Henry was our DJ through BIG FUN for our wedding and he was amazing! We had no idea at the time, but he has DJed a few of my family members' weddings too! We were so happy to have him be part of our special day too because he made the party unforgettable. He was able to take our eclectic music taste and make it flow from one song to the next so that the dance floor was busy all night. Everyone loved it! We loved the company's professionalism, our DJ's expertise on optimal song length for important dances, the awesome light/fog setup that comes with the standard package, and his commitment to making sure the vibe is great for the whole party. Big Fun DJs is awesome! When I first reached out to them, I was really impressed by how quickly they responded, how detailed their introductory email was, and how helpful they were right off the bat. We first spoke with Paul, who gave us a very detailed overview of their services and answered all the questions and concerns we had. We then worked with our assigned DJ, Henry, who is super professional, nice, and responsive. He did a fantastic job at our wedding and I really couldn't recommend him enough! Henry took care of all the sound systems at different locations at the venue, music playlists, emcee duties, and microphones for the ceremony and reception. Honestly, it was totally worth having a total professional handle all of that so we didn't have to worry about it at all. -

Paul from BIG FUN Disc Jockeys was such a pleasure to have DJ and emcee our wedding because of his professionalism and the perfect atmosphere he created.
Professionalism: He was extremely organized and made the planning process as easy as possible for us. When we had trouble deciding on aspects of the schedule or song choices, he offered suggestions which always ended up being the ones we went with. He was proactive, responsive, and we never worried about the music or emceeing because Paul was on top of everything and communicated well with our other vendors.
Atmosphere: We had a variety of atmospheres we wanted to create for each portion of our reception and Paul found the perfect music to do that. For the dancing portion, we had a wide range of ages and music tastes amongst our guests but he somehow filled the dance floor and had our guests dancing on (and around the perimeter) until the end of the night.
We had a wonderful experience with Paul and BIG FUN Disc Jockeys and would absolutely work with him again for future events! -

Big Fun provided excellent DJ and sound services for our wedding at Rengstorff House in Mountain View. When we first inquired, we were really impressed by Paul Burchfield's professionalism and enthusiasm as he explained everything and answered our questions — after speaking with him, it was an easy decision, and we ended up being thrilled with their service throughout the entire process.
We worked with DJ Stefano Bortolin for our wedding, and he was also a pleasure to work with. He was super communicative, flexible about a last minute song change, and very detail-oriented. We gave him a playlist with some of the songs that we wanted to hear at the cocktail hour and reception, and he made sure to include more than just the handful we had picked as "must plays." He made the music feel more like a reflection of us as a couple, which was really special. We also got a lot of compliments about the music on the dance floor, which stayed full throughout the night.

My wife and I have very specific music taste, but Henry seriously delivered at our wedding!! We couldn’t be happier with how everything went. Firstly, he is super organized and detail-oriented. He asked which song we would like for every big moment, how we would like to be announced, and even gave us homework for items we needed to think on. Henry also gave really helpful advice and suggestions regarding our event timeline (like how long it takes for guests to move from one area to another, how long certain special event songs should be, etc.) He was quick to send the shortened edited versions of our first dance song, father-daughter song, and so on. (This was super helpful for dance practice!) He was also a great emcee at our wedding, smoothly transitioning through each part of the day.
The music really sets the mood and tone at an event, and we are extremely pleased that our wedding truly sounded and felt like “us” the whole way through. Henry had us make Spotify playlists for cocktail hour, dinner, and our dance party (including a “must have” list for dancing). This allowed him to play the exact songs we love, and gave him ideas of what we wanted. A lot of our guests are friends that share different elements of our music taste (house, techno, kpop, pop, funk, and r&b). We also had older relatives present, so we weren’t sure how this would go. Henry did an amazing job mixing everything in, and he captured our music tastes perfectly. He even managed to play every single song on our “must” list! Many of our guests told us how much fun they were having, and all of our guests stayed until send-off.
We can’t explain how special and awesome it felt to have our wedding soundtrack so personalized to us. It felt like we were in a movie!!! You’ll just have to see for yourself.

We had the incredible pleasure of working with DJ Henry Kim. Henry was very professional and highly knowledgeable from 1400+ events he's DJ'd. His approach to DJ is masterful - helping to curate the perfect songs list, doing the homework, understanding the crowd, then flawless execution while making adjustments on the fly. One other thing that really stood out was his ability to communicate in a clear manner during the pre-event call and in his emails. TLDR Henry is awesome and you should hire him immediately for your bay area wedding.
We couldn't have asked for a better DJ for our wedding at Villa Montalvo. Big Fun DJs was honestly a steal for the level of expertise and service you get. From his ultra-responsive communication during the planning phase to the epic smoke on the dance floor, Henry absolutely crushed it. Our working relationship with Big Fun DJs was perhaps the smoothest and low-stress out of the ~10 wedding vendors we hired. Henry was the epitome of "strong opinions, loosely held", meaning that he had an astute point of view when we sought his opinion, but was always flexible to accommodate any out of the box requests. We would strongly recommend Henry & Big Fun DJs to anyone planning a wedding in the bay area. -

Great Experience; Smooth and Easy
We worked with Henry from BIG FUN for our wedding, and he was really great and communicative. From setting up meetings to email reminders about outstanding songs, Henry was easy to work with and easily understood our desire for a non-traditional reception. (No dancing, video game station) He helped us with the projector set up placement and even helped to come up with a mirroring solution when we forgot one of our Switches for the game station set up.
Henry was also great on the music cues and our ceremony was flawlessly executed. He also was flexible and able to make shifts when we needed to move up the cake cutting and was great in making the announcements when things needed to be changed.
Would definitely recommend working with Henry from BIG FUN DJ! -

We are SO happy we went with Big Fun DJs for our wedding. Woody was absolutely amazing and we are so grateful that he was a part of our big day. Woody met with us prior to our wedding to walk through our day and answer any of our questions. He was extremely thorough and knowledgable walking us through all of the specifics around not just the music but also the sound system, lighting and events of the day. He even helped us edit our first dance song so that we could have a shorter version of it to practice with in advance. On the day of our wedding, everything went super smoothly. Our ceremony had perfect audio sound and everyone could hear everything very clearly. All the speeches throughout the night had perfect audio as well. The music on the dance floor was spot on and so much fun! Make sure Woody plays Mr. Brightside by the killers. We would’ve never requested this song, but Woody put it on and it was the highlight of the night. Our guests were going nuts with their light sticks, and it’ll be a memory we never forget! Woody absolutely killed it and we are so grateful!! Thank you Woody! -

Beyond Professional
Working with Henry of BigFun was one of the best decisions for our wedding. Our guests won’t stop raving about him (some screenshots attached), but also I have never had more confidence in someone going into the event - Henry's next-level professionalism and expertise really shone through. We feel so lucky to have found him and especially for him handling our wedding personally! The weeks before felt like chaos but with Henry's organized planning session, specific questions, guided homework, and informed advice, I felt so reassured that we were in good hands. The best DJ experience EVER
If you're looking for a DJ that will make the process stress free, SO much fun, and get everyone on the dance floor, book BIG FUN now! Our DJ, Henry Kim, was so knowledgeable and helped us with nailing down all the fine details we didn't even think of before the wedding. He took all of our requests and made them happen. His timing with music, ability to gather the attention of our guests, and work seamlessly was amazing. Him and his crew did such a great job at set up and tear down, and brought so many great pieces of equipment that made our dance floor SO much better. Henry did an amazing job at reading the room and playing songs that would get people up and dancing. We had so many of our guests say that our DJ was one of the best DJs they have ever experienced at a wedding, and that they literally could not stop dancing. Big Fun DJ was one of our favorite vendors for our wedding at Nestldown. Henry was our MC and DJ and he did an amazing job. Not only was Henry extremely prompt with email responses, we also had a very thorough meeting with him about our timeline that made us very comfortable with how the day would go on our wedding day.
Two of the highlights from our wedding were the First Dance and the Father/Daughter Dance.
My husband and I did a choreographed piece for our First Dance and Henry did a great job cutting the music to the length that our instructor had suggested. It was absolutely perfect and so much fun.
A couple of days before the wedding, my dad and I decided to change the song for our Father/Daughter dance. We changed it from an English song to a Chinese song which we thought would be more fitting for our relationship. Henry researched the translation of the song and made the perfect cut of the song for our dance. It was a very special moment for my father and I, and my dad is still bragging about that dance to his friends.

We talked to a ton of DJ companies as we were planning our wedding, and Big Fun (recommended to us by our florist) made the decision easy. Paul, the owner, offered to let us pick our DJ from his team, and we're so glad we opted to work with Henry. Every call we had with him, we ended by saying to each other "what a PRO." He just knew exactly what he was doing, what to ask, and what we might be forgetting. He nailed the details, including triple-checking the pronunciation of everyone's names and seamlessly re-cutting our first dance song to remove a long instrumental portion. He played every song we added to our "must play" and had a perfect set up at our ceremony site, appetizer hour, and for dinner and dancing. He even dedicated a song to my mom when I mentioned it was her favorite on one of our calls! The detail they put in to what they do was perfect for us, and that gave us total confidence that everything would go smoothly – and it did! -

Big Fun Indeed!
My husband and I hired BIG FUN DJs for our wedding in November 2019 and they were amazing. Right from the start, Paul was easy-going and funny and you could really tell he was a pro! He explained everything clearly to us and met with us in person ahead of the big day to go over the soundtrack for our day. He worked to find any music we requested that he didn't have and he triple checked everything with us to be sure he had it right. The pricing was very reasonable and they didn't require final payment until 30 days after the wedding, which was such a nice option (one less thing to worry about the day of). Plus, the flexibility with payment allowed us to decide on the spot whether to keep the party going longer than planned.
On the day of the event, Paul was flexible and rolled with the punches. He was prepared for everything, the sound equipment worked great, and he even double-checked the order of things with us before he announced the speeches. The lighting setup was wonderful and our photos look amazing with the fog and lights! Everything Paul did was done with a smile and lots of happy kindness.
My husband and I loved working with Paul and would hire him again in a heartbeat if we have any other events. I recommend Paul and BIG FUN DJ wholeheartedly! Thank you, Paul, for making our event beautiful and a whole lot of fun! -

tl;dr: We had a really great experience with Paul and were planning to have him DJ our wedding before it was cancelled due to COVID-19.
Big Fun DJ was a recommended DJ for our venue (Nestldown). We found out that Big Fun designed the speaker systems at the venue, including the incredible surround sound system in the trees above the outdoor Chapel.
We set up a video call with Paul and found him to be clearly knowledgeable, experienced, detail-oriented, and (very importantly) genuine. An added bonus was that we wouldn't need to pay until 30 days after the wedding.
After we decided to go with him, he sent us a comprehensive list of possible music organized by decade and genre. We could use it to get ideas for songs to play during cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing.
Unfortunately, we ended up having to cancel our wedding due to COVID-19, instead opting for a tiny ceremony. We were grateful for the payment policy at this point as we did not have a deposit with Big Fun.
Paul was very gracious and kind to us, and we hope that others will be able to have him at their weddings. -

Paul from Big Fun DJ was hands down the best vendor I worked with throughout the whole wedding planning process. I was won over from the beginning, when I told him we wanted to get as much dancing time as possible, and he actively suggested not getting the photobooth. I really, really appreciated not getting upsold, and instead getting an honest recommendation on how to make our day the way we wanted it. I actually got a lot of guidance from Paul on how a wedding should work in the first place! I had no idea really what the order of things normally is, or what kinds of music we'd need to think about, and he helped clarify all that within the first couple of calls. He had a long list of popular songs by decade that made it easy for us to give a sense of the kind of music we like, and when we checked in about a month or so before the wedding he was so reassuring, telling us we were on track with the number of decisions we'd made by that point. It was also exactly the kind of collaboration I wanted. Besides a few specific songs I had in mind, I could just give him a general theme, and leave it up to Paul to come up with the actual playlist. He gave feedback if something I had in mind wouldn't really work, and obviously had a lot of experience with the details, like who's going to need to get miked up when, how much time to budget for walking down the aisle, how to avoid awkward silences. All greatly appreciated. Oh, and though the wedding was in the Bay Area, we were planning from London, and Paul gracefully accommodated the time difference.
Then, on the day, Paul really made the show happen. The ceremony worked beautifully, Paul kept us on time as the MC--even when our schedule had to change due to the weather--and as many people have already mentioned, got everyone on the dance floor! Even the people I really did not expect! He had helped with some tips on preparing the slideshow and it was great to be able to just hand that over to him to take care of playing at the right time.
Paul was such a professional, a joy to work with, and it would not have been as successful a wedding without him! -

Paul was amazing from the start. He got us really amped us during our pre-wedding meeting and calmed our nerves. He was very patient with all our music choices and when we needed to make changes. The day of was so smooth and he did a great job of MCing. He was also very patient with our guests who would request songs now and again and he played all the best music. The dancing portion was one our favorite parts of the whole wedding because of Big Fun DJ and Paul. -

I was fortunate enough to have Woody as my DJ. He was so patient and accommodating throughout the planning process. He was also the savior on my wedding day to make sure everything goes according to the timeline.
And oh, their lighting, fog machine, music...everything was just awesome!! Woody turned the dance floor into a night club. He had almost everyone on the dance floor from 8pm till 11pm!!
Please do yourself a favor and hire them. There is no need to fish around no more! :) -

Big Fun DJ was recommended to us by a couple that had recently gotten married. They had nothing but good things to say about them so we reached out.
We worked with Paul who was super professional to work with and walked us through the entire process. He made sure that the playlist reflected our interest in music but was still fun for the rest of the wedding attendees.
We also had specific songs we wanted to utilize for when we walked down the aisle and he made sure he got those and they transitioned seamlessly.
Another great aspect was the lighting and effects that he brought, it really helped everyone get into the dancing mood. We heard countless compliments on how fun and upbeat the dance floor was! -

He was extremely prompt and clear with communication in the months leading up to our wedding which was a huge stress relief. He nailed it on the specifics we had requested for the wedding (ceremony songs, reception entrance, first dance, etc) and he came through on the parts we left up to him (cake, bouquet, garter, etc). Not going to lie... I was a little nervous when he said that he usually handles the music for those parts... but of course, I had nothing to worry about because he completely "got" our style and preferences and delivered :-) Our venue coordinator said she had never seen a dance floor so "poppin" for the whole duration of the wedding reception. I'll credit at least 50% of that to Stefano for the DJing... (the other 50% goes to our crazy friends and family). But Stefano definitely knew how to keep the party going and please the whole crowd, young and old!! Very reasonably priced too.

Henry was our DJ, and he worked tirelessly to meet our needs---Everything from helping us pick the perfect ceremony music, remixing popular songs to fit our ceremony timing, and even helping to find "modern" Persian music to please my husband's family. On top of all this, Henry even helped me AND our best man with separate requests to play surprise songs at various points during dinner. All of this, and very reasonable pricing. We absolutely loved working with Henry and will recommend Big Fun to anyone!
