  Great food and Experienced Staff

  Big fish has great food-that’s a given. But with so many things on a bride’s plate (pun intended ), what made this caterer stand out was their responsiveness, communication and experienced staff. Susan was so helpful working out the menu and even offered timeline suggestions for this clueless bride/wedding planner. And Ashley and her staff ran a seamless show allowing me to focus on the wedding and not worry about anything. Thanks Big Fish team!

  Book Big Fish - Best Seafood in DE

  We had a freaking blast working with Susan. She made everything really straightforward and easy to follow. She sent us different menu options and made suggestions when we asked. We had fun meeting her at our tasting too. The tasting is WAY fun. We highly recommend the following items which were raved about by our guests: Crab and Avocado Salad, Coconut Crusted Shrimp, Tortellini Alfredo, and last but certainly not least, Neva’s Potatoes. Get the Neva’s Potatoes. You will love them. Your guests will love them. Everyone wins! Big Fish was incredible.

  10/10 Recommend!

  I have been going to Big Fish restaurants since I was a kid, so they were a natural first pick when it came to catering for our wedding- and boy are we happy we chose them! The food was PHENOMENAL and the service amazing. Susan is clearly an expert in the field and anyone working with her is in excellent hands. 10/10, recommend to ANY couple who has the opportunity to use them for their event catering!

  Perfect caterer

  The catering team are absolute pros; they did a fantastic job. Sue had everything planning and running smoothly; she provided great advice throughout the planning. Guests were impressed with actually good wedding food! They were able to accommodate having gluten free options.

  Big Fish in ocean view

  I have paid for two other weddings and I’ve never experienced anything like this. Big fish and Susan and her staff were outstanding!!! They did such a fabulous job. They were so friendly and the Service was unbelievable. Not to mention that the food was outstanding! Presentation was perfect! I have them in mind for my next party! The best was that everyone wants know who I hired. They love it all! More than I could ever expect!

  Big Fish Grill cannot come more highly recommended. Our point of contact and coordinator, Susan Sokowski, was extremely professional and organized. She was always ready to respond, adjust and knew every little detail about our menu. Not only was she wonderful from that perspective but she took a hands-on approach to making sure that everything went as smooth as possible. The service was exceptional and her staff was on-point. On top of that, the food was amazing. Every single item we tasted and added to our menu was delicious. They also have an award-winning baker who made some fabulous desserts including our wedding cake. I would highly recommend utilizing Susan and her staff if you are in need of a food vendor.

  The Big Fish team was absolutely awesome. I would highly recommend this group to anyone having an event. Susan Sokowski kept in great contact the weeks leading up to the wedding. A question never went unanswered. Susan offered great ideas and kept the wedding organized the day of. I did not have to stress about a thing.   Highly Recommend! Everything was perfect!

  Absolutely amazing! Susan was fantastic to work with. She was very accommodating and helpful in creating our perfect menu. Her staff went above and beyond to make our wedding day perfect! Most importantly, the food was AMAZING!! All of our guest raved about the food, especially the raw oyster/tuna bar and the bacon wrapped scallops! Their professionalism and attention to detail was impeccable! I highly recommend them for all of your catering needs!! We couldn’t have been any happier or satisfied.   Amazing experience

  Would definitely recommend Big fish!! Everyone was complimenting how great the food and the cake was. Probably the best cake I have ever had! The best thing was the staff they where amazing they cleaned up so well.

  Best Caterer in Delaware!

  They are AMAZING! Food was absolutely delicious. Was a hit with all of the guests. They let us have customized menu items, hot apple cider and hot chocolate bar, margaritas were ON POINT. They were professional, incredible, and added to my perfect day. I am so happy I went with them, best caterer around!

  Big Fish paid attention to detail and Never told me anything I wanted couldn't be done. I was in love with my Berry Good cake that is a specialty of theirs. It was beautiful and exceeded my expectations as a wedding cake. They worked well with our at home venue in a pole barn, and adapted well to their surroundings. Everyone raved about the food especially the appetizer selection we had. Thank you Big Fish for making my wedding even better!

  Great Experience

  We chose Big Fish Events because we wanted to be able to customize a menu to our likes and within our budget. Big Fish was able to do exactly that. The whole process to tailoring our menu, tasting and the day of was smooth and a great experience. Susan was great to work with and always helpful in sharing suggestions to make sure our day was what we wanted it to be.

  Big Fish Events catered my wedding at Nassau Valley Vineyards in Lewes, DE. Susan was so easy to work with. She always responded promptly to my many questions throughout the planning process. They accommodated all of my menu requests and exceeded all of my expectations! As someone who also plans weddings and events for a living, my expectations were higher than most. I received nothing but good comments from all of our 255 guests, raving about the food, from cocktail hour, dinner, to the amazing desserts. I could not have asked for a better caterer for my wedding day! I would highly recommend!!

  Would hire for other events, too!

  From the initial inquiry through the end of the reception, Big Fish Events was spectacular. They worked with us to narrow down a custom menu to match our vision, and budget. They made our destination wedding a breeze by being so flexible and helpful. Big Fish coordinated with our rentals vendor and was sure to familiarize themselves with the location, set-up, and our desires, coming to the rehearsal and arriving promptly the day of the wedding. Our guests still rave over the menu Big Fish provided; we could not be more grateful for their services, and we would happily hire them again for future events.

  Delicious food, wonderful people!

  Big Fish was very easy to work with, super flexible, and had a lot of great ideas for our price range! The food was delicious and we had lots of compliments from our guests. Highly recommend the raw bar! It was a highlight of our wedding!

  Wedding Catering

  Saying our experience with Big fish was beyond perfect is a serious understatement. From the quality of the food to the service they provided I can say without a doubt was spectacular. No details were missed at all. They were there early to set up and stayed late to help clean. We delt with Susan for the most part and she was awesome. The servers were great and on top of everything. The food was hot and delicious and the mini dessert table we did was a huge hit. The quality of the food was amazing and everyone that attended our special day raved abut how great everything was. I will always recommend Big Fish to anyone looking for catering for any event from weddings to holiday parties the staff at Big Fish knocked the ball out of the park!

  Saying our experience with Big fish was beyond perfect is a serious understatement. From the quality of the food to the service they provided I can say without a doubt was spectacular.   Big Fish Beach Wedding Bash

  Big Fish was super accommodating creating the perfect menu for our beach wedding. The food was delicious and everyone was so helpful. Must try the Neva Potatoes! Yumm!

  Covid didnt stop us!

  Having a wedding in Delaware...call Big Fish Grill .....Susan had such great ideas for my daughter’s wedding which was held at The Pratt Farm on 9/19/20....the bride and groom are “foodies” and they and their guests loved the food!
  Susan and her daughter, Ava, made my daughter’s wedding that much more special with all the wonderful food they served - from the appetizers to dinner...setting up and clean up were was done quickly and professionally!
  No matter the size or location of your event ....Susan and Big Fish Grill will make it spectacular...highly recommend!

  Beautiful Tented Party

  Susan and her crew at Big Fish Catering did a fantastic job with our 250-person outdoor tented party. She was extremely helpful in planning the event, from the set-up and logistics to the catering and service. Our guests were overwelmed by how lovely it all was, and we wouldn't hesitate to hire Big Fish Catering again for our special event.
