Positively wonderful
I absolutely adored my experience with this bridal shop. My dress was a bit different- I wasn’t sure how she was going to adjust it to have a bustle or even hem it with the horse hair edge but she did it and it was INCREDIBLE. She even sewed in detachable sleeves so I could have them for the church! Professional, prompt,
And kind 💗 thank you for helping me shine on my wedding day. -

Better than I could have imagined!
Bettina turned my mother’s gorgeous wedding dress into something perfect for me! It turned out better than I could have hoped. Bettina worked with my very tight schedule. She was very fast and flexible. I was worried about anyone working on my mother’s intricate lace and pearl dress, but she did an amazing job. -

Perfection
Betty was such a pleasure to work with. She made sure my wedding dress fit perfectly and that I was 100% happy with it before I took it home after several fittings. My dress was full lace with beads and I was so impressed that I couldn’t tell where she cut the lace and hemmed for my 5’ frame. She even made me custom detachable drop sleeves at my request, and they turned out amazing! Betty is truly a master at what she does and really cares about her client’s satisfaction. -

Bettina is INCREDIBLE. I had less than three weeks to alter my dress--it was late, I was living internationally, and I got married on Jan 1, so she was not working starting 12/23, and she magically got it done. She is highly skilled and a clear expert at her craft. She has the perfect eye, made my dress fit like a glove (from bust, to waist, to hemline) and even took the fabric she cut off the bottom to hand stitch each appliqué onto the end of my simple veil. I felt like an absolute princess the whole night and was never uncomfortable. The bustle was a beautiful french style. My dress was custom hand made from Australia, with very delicate lace, and she handled it perfectly. I couldn't trust anyone more and am beyond grateful to be her client! She is so sweet, and gave me a fantastic deal on a hair piece that completely topped my look! -

She went above and beyond on making my fabulous dress fit to my body like a glove and each fitting felt very safe and very fun. Betty is so amazing to work with! 10/10 She exceeds expectations to ensure you are happy with your dress. I had a stressful time picking out a dress and she made the dress even more beautiful than it originally was. My parents are pretty conservative and I ended up adding lining to the front of my dress last minute! She helped me pick up a beautiful lining that matched the dress perfectly! She also has amazing fashion sense herself and gives great advice! -

I attempted to engage Bettina for a custom gown last year and ended up firing her because she wasted hours of my time and talked in circles. My experience with Bettina did not give any indication she could make custom from scratch or please her established customers. I feel for businesses hit by the pandemic, and the local wedding and fashion industry have definitely been hit. At the same time, if Bettina cannot make custom gowns, she should not advertise it. She wasted hours of my time, and as a busy professional, that was the last thing I could spare.
When I first visited Bettina, I was so delighted! She seemed like a kind, non-judgmental creative friend excited to work with me on my wedding gown. We talked through my inspiration photos and she assured me she could easily make my gown. She had a vacation planned and asked me to return afterward to continue the process. I politely asked her for a proposal document after each visit but never received one.
When she returned from vacation, she asked me the same questions as she had in my initial appointment and failed to take notes or write down my measurements. During two or three of my following appointments, she basically did the same thing and made excuses about fabric availability.
During those appointments, other clients stopped by profusely ringing the doorbell to her studio asking why their gowns were late. After two or three of my appointments ended like that (with an interruption by an angry client) and she had only shown me three fabric swatches after two months of endless chat, I informed her I would not be moving forward. She was confused and asked why.
After months, I still had no price proposal, fabric, design sketch or anything from her. Luckily, I found a local professional designer afterward and received all of those things along with a timeline and contract during my first appointment. My gown from them was spectacular, and I continue to receive compliments on it more than a year later. I just wished I had not wasted so much time with Bettina pretending to be a designer. There is no shame in specializing in alterations, and if that is what others think Bettina is good at, she should not advertise custom design.
