  Kristen captured our wedding weekend so authentically and beautifully.

  Not only was Kristen an absolute dream to work with as a person, but the photos turned out even better than we could have imagined. She captured our wedding weekend so authentically and beautifully. We feel very lucky to have found someone who matched and understood our energy on our big day and will definitely be using her for future photos to come. Highly recommend!

  Elopement 2021

  Kristen is the most personable and creative photographer we could’ve asked for. She helped us to pick the right location and time of day as well as finding all of the other pieces that we needed. (officiant, florist, hair and makeup) I couldn’t have possibly been happier with anyone else! She’s wonderful and quick with responses.

  Could not have asked for more for our elopement!

  Kristen was nothing short of exceptional! She photographed my elopement wedding and, from the very first correspondence with her via email, I knew I was in excellent hands and I could not have asked for more. From helping plan the timeline of the day, to selecting locations to shoot, to recommending vendors for flowers/hair and makeup/chef and cake, to helping manage iPads for our Zoom guests (ah, 2020), to actually helping us figure out how to sign the marriage license and cut the cake... she did it ALL, which was invaluable as I was planning my wedding from out of state! A close second to my now husband, she was easily one of the most important parts of the day ;)
  Not to mention the photos... oh my gosh, just absolutely stunning. Every single one of them! She made us feel so natural and comfortable - something not easy for me in front of the camera. She has such an amazing eye for a good shot and managed to make us look good at every turn, without directing us too much or making us feel nervous. We felt like we were hanging out with a good friend, chatting and laughing the whole time we were with her and it was honestly just a joy to have her be a part of the day. She even sent a few photos to us, edited and looking perfect, before we went to bed the night of the wedding (huge for an elopement, as we were able to announce our marriage the very next morning). And we got the remainder of the photos, every one more beautiful than the last, in less than two weeks!
  I just can't say enough about Kristen - she is the utmost professional, incredibly fun and sweet, and so beyond talented as a photographer. I could not be any happier with our choice in using Kristen to photograph our wedding and will cherish these photos forever.

  Amazing Work & an all around cool person to work with

  As a photographer myself I found finding someone to photograph our destination wedding a difficult task. When I found Better With You Photography I just knew it would be a great fit. Kristen was absolutely wonderful to work with. Not only was she well priced, responsive to our questions, and flexible, she was open to hearing our ideas and had great creative ideas of her own. She was laid back, cool to hang out with, and made what could have been awkward, very comfortable and natural. We couldn't be happier with the work she produced. Thank you so much Kristen for capturing our wedding day in such a beautiful way!

  Amazing, talented, kind and caring...

  We cannot say enough about Kristen. She was so wonderful throughout the entire process and the day of - in a simple statement, she just made everything better. My husband and I planned an elopement in Big Sur and hired Kristen about 6 months before our big day. We had a consultation phone call with her and then kept in touch over the next few months. She helped us plan our day/timing around the light and gave us several suggestions for locations. When it came down to the day of our ceremony, she was early, which was such a relief, and from that moment everything was just such a breeze. When you are planning an elopement with just the two of you, the officiant and photographer, who you hire really matters and sets the tone. Kristen was so warm, kind, thoughtful and just a pleasure to be around. A few days after our ceremony we got sneak peaks and they were stunning. Shortly after that we received all of our photos. We were so surprised by how fast and painless everything was. The day was a breeze, our photos are breathtaking and most of all we have nothing but happy memories from that day. Cannot recommend Kristen enough!

  We couldn’t have asked for a better wedding photographer for our August 2015 wedding and reception. We got married at our church, Grace Lutheran and had our reception at Bali Hai. Kristen also took our engagement photos for our save the dates. She was incredibly easy to work with, especially since my husband is not a fan of having his picture taken in general. She made the whole process fun and easy. On the big day we barely even knew she was there. She was very efficient with her time and made sure we got through everything we needed. Kristen answered all emails and phone calls in a very timely manner. She helped us put together a wedding day timeline that worked out perfectly. After receiving our photos we were very impressed with the results! The images really captured the feel of our day.
  I would HIGHLY recommend Kristen to others for several reasons; ease of communication, professionalism, creativity, her overall personality - just to name a few! You will not be disappointed with Better With You Photography!

  It’s been a little over a year since our destination wedding in San Jose del Cabo, Mexico - it was truly magical. I feel so lucky that Better With You Photography was there to capture the emotions, the feeling, of our wedding weekend. I just looked through all our wedding photos and relived each smile, each tear, each laugh. The photography captured so many amazing candid moments, in addition to the traditional shots, that looking at the photos is truly re-living the day. Kristen and her team were able to catch fleeting moments – a look, a smile, an exchange…I am so grateful that we have these moments captured. Kristen and her team were very professional, helpful, kind, and felt like we’d been good friends for years, they fit right in and blended in. It never felt like “oh there’s the photographer”. I am incredibly thankful for the conversations we had leading up to the wedding, where Kristen suggested a first-look shoot with my husband and I, something I wasn’t sure about. She kindly explained that she’d love to have more time, and time with just the two of us. We’d also get to the reception and the margaritas faster if we did a first look. :) I am so incredibly thankful that we did a first-look, it was the only time that day my husband and I had time to just let it all set in and be together, revel in it together. It felt very natural and we felt like it was just us, except of course Kristen and her team were there capturing it all. The photos are just incredible, more than I ever could have imaged or hoped for. The photo turn-around after was very fast and the photos are truly amazing, many should be in a magazine – the quality is absolutely outstanding. I will be hiring Better With You Photography for every future milestone event in my life, and have recommended Kristen and her team to all of my friends. Thank you, Kristen, my wedding truly was Better With You!
