The cake itself was absolutely delicious. We opted for a white cake with raspberry filling and vanilla buttercream, and it was a hit among our guests. We received numerous compliments, and some guests are still talking about it, going so far as to send us drool emojis in texts, which speaks volumes about its deliciousness. The Best Cake You Will Ever Taste!
There is absolutely no question as to why everyone says that Bethel Bakery is the best wedding cake in town! We were planning our entire wedding remotely since we were not local to Pittsburgh and Bethel Bakery helped us through the entire process and made our wedding cake experience as easy as could be! When were were able to visit town 6 months prior to our wedding, we scheduled a sampler pick up and we had so much fun trying all the different flavors with our family. On the day of our wedding, we arrived to our reception space with the cake beautifully centered on a table and looking exactly how we pictured it. AND THE CAKE TASTED INCREDIBLE!! It was definitely the highlight to the end of a wonderful evening.

Beautiful Cakes, Fair Price
I loved my wedding cake from Bethel Bakery. I also loved that I was able to do a virtual tasting, and order additional round cakes to keep in the refrigerator in case was ran out! Of course, we didn’t run out and I got to enjoy my wedding cake again the next day.

Beautiful & Delicious too!
We ordered our cake from Bethel Bakery for our 9/30/23 wedding. It was absolutely gorgeous and delicious too! We did pay a bit extra for our bottom gold tier but loved the look of it. All staff members we interacted with were kind and knowledgeable and took note of what we wanted. We purchased our cake separate from our venue, even though they were one of the recommended bakeries. This allowed us to tailor how many flavors and slices of cake we actually wanted. We chose three flavors and had them sliced and plated on a table, as opposed to served to all guests, to eliminate waste and allow for guest selection. Even our three tier wedding cake had two of the flavors. We enjoyed all three choices and particularly love how their buttercream is tasty and not overly sweet. Bethel also coordinated with our florist so fresh flowers could be used on our cake. We just celebrated our one year anniversary and were blown away by how delicious and fresh our top tier stayed in the freezer. I would definitely recommend going with their almond cake with raspberry buttercream filling! The chocolate cake with cookies & cream buttercream and lemon cake with lemon buttercream were delicious too.
The only thing we wished we got to experience was the in-person tasting. I went to my friend's tasting at Bethel pre-COVID and it was really enjoyable. The at-home/virtual tasting allows for more people to enjoy, but I do hope they bring the in-person option back for future couples.

Words can't describe how happy I am that I had Bethel Bakery do my wedding cake and cookie table! Working with them was the best! They really took into consideration the vision of my cake and made sure it was exactly what I wanted for our themed Phantom of the Opera wedding. Every detail put into it was absolutely amazing and everyone loved it! We had so many compliments not only on the design but how wonderful it tasted along with our cookie table. Great Taste!

A Gorgeous Wedding Cake & a Seamless Experience!
We had a seamless experience working with Bethel Bakery for our wedding cake. At the beginning, we weren’t sure what design we wanted, and so they spent a lot of time with us and were so patient and helped us pick out the perfect cake. They did an amazing job with the design, and it was beautiful. Wedding cake isn’t usually good, but Bethel cakes are GOOD! We chose chocolate cake with a raspberry buttercream + European raspberry fillings and all of our guests raved about how good it was! We can’t wait for another excuse to eat another Bethel Bakery cake!

My husband and I absolutely loved our cake. I normally can't stand wedding cake! We were able to do our cake tasting in our home (cup cakes) which meant we could discuss without feeling rushed, and we were able to include one of our closest friends for another opinion! It was super fun and memorable!
They created a perfect cake! It was simple and beautiful, like something out of a magazine. All of our guests loved it! I couldn't have asked for anything more!

Bethel Bakery was included in the Bella Sera wedding package and we were so impressed with the quality and taste! They provided and extensive array of flavors and cookies to sample before our meeting and we decided to go with their crystallized sugar cake design which came out beautifully. The staff was great at walking us through all the different presentation options and the flavors during our meeting and the process was seamless. We did the European raspberry with almond batter and are so excited to have the top tier of the cake on our anniversary and taste it again next year! We added the cake topper and the real flowers after it was delivered and we love how it turned out.

Delicious and beautiful wedding cake
We wanted an elegant 3 tiered wedding cake for our wedding. Despite postponing several times due to Covid, Bethel Bakery was really accommodating and we still got to do our tasting and get the wedding cake of our dreams. Plus, it tasted really good! We went with an unconventional combo of yellow cake with mango and chocolate filling. It tasted so good and went perfectly after our reception dinner.

We’ve been coming to Bethel Bakery for years to get birthday cakes, holiday treats, and just a quick sugar fix. We knew that was where we were getting our wedding cake years before the day arrived. The process was extremely easy, even due to Covid. They had a taste testing box ready for us to pick up and discussed online via webcam about what we liked and didn’t like. We are able to provide images of cake / cupcake styles for inspiration, and I think they came out better than we could have thought. We went a non-traditional route by providing guests with cupcakes instead of cake slices, which gave them the option of four different flavors to choose from! We also ordered some cookies to bag up for the cookie table as take home favors. Absolutely would do it all over again and we can’t wait to have our 1 year cake remade!

Great presentation and taste
Bethel Bakery was great to work with. They were one of 3 the Gateway Clipper partners with that we got to choose with no charge for our cake. They did cupcakes for us instead and had a great taste test where we could choose our flavors and had so many options and great flavor and texture. I got to choose the icing on top and they were nothing short of perfection. Would have liked if setup was an option but understand with the pricing it's not.

The Best Cake!
Bethel Bakery was amazing to work with for our cake. We had to change our date four times due to Covid and they were so responsive and flexible with our needs.
They also have the most delicious cake! In our tasting, we were presented with so many options ranging from fun to seasonal to traditional. We settled on cake layers of chocolate and white almond, and fillings of Nutella, raspberry buttercream, and vanilla bean. Many of our guests told us it was the best wedding they’ve had, and they complained that they didn’t get bigger pieces!
We would 100% recommend Bethel Bakery for wedding cakes and we will be ordering anniversary cakes from them in the future!

Bethel Bakery has a great reputation for making amazing wedding cakes and desserts. So when I got engaged it was a no brainer to have Bethel Bakery be apart of our vendor team. We decided to do a two tier wedding cake for our wedding party to share and then did 8 different cakes with a cookie table for our guests. Everyone was blown away with the display of the cakes and how delicious they were! Emily, the wedding consultant was so nice and answered any questions we had. Sweet wedding treat
As expected, Bethel Bakery did not disappoint! We were beyond impressed with our wedding cake and the cookie table that we ordered through Bethel, for both quality and taste. Emily took the time to sit with us to discuss all of our cake options in detail, and provided various samples to help us choose a cake that worked best for us (Almond Cake with Raspberry Jam). My mom ended up ordering about 800 cookies for a 107 person wedding, and literally all but about half a tray of cookies went. We remember there being a point in the night where our guests came up to let us know that "if we wanted cookies, we had better go grab them now because they were about to be gone"; this conversation happened around 7:30pm (so I'd say they were a huge success). We have been loyal customers to Bethel Bakery for years, and will continue to be for years to come. Thank you, Bethel Bakery, for making our wedding day so sweet!

My husband and I went on many, many cake tastings and finally decided on Bethel Bakery. The cake is delicious and not too dense. We also liked how you essentially could mix and match cake and fillings because it's 3 layers in one tier! We originally were going for a large statement piece cake enough for 180+ people but because of covid we cut things down to just 13 including us. We worked with Nicolette and she was amazing. I had an idea of an ombre cake based on a few pictures from pinterest and she brought it to life in miniature form for our small ceremony! Can't wait to work with them again for our 1 year celebration (fingers crossed) next year!

12 days before my wedding I had to switch venues; I now needed a cake! I frantically called Bethel Bakery! They were so calm but understood the urgency; They had samples available for me the next day and set up a zoom call to get an idea of what I wanted. And within 11 days they had me sample; met with and a perfect idea of what I wanted and had it delivered to my new venue!!

My wife and I were recommended Bethel Bakery for our wedding cake by one of our vendors and WE LOVED OUR CAKE! From our first initial meeting with Nicolette, we felt very comfortable and were not pressured into choosing any options outside of our budget. Nicolette was fantastic in suggesting certain designs, flavors, and colors for our cake and she make the entire process fun and relaxing! Did I mention that the cake tasted amazing!?!? We chose a three-tiered cake with multiple layered batters and filling, as well as three backup cakes. They are the BEST!
Bethel Bakery was honestly our first and only choice for our cake. My grandma bought something from Bethel AT LEAST once a week, and before she passed last April, she basically said we better get our cake from Bethel 😂 (which we were going to do anyway). Katlyn was our point of contact for everything, and she is the best! She’s incredible at her job and was so creative and helpful when we were designing our cake. The cake, unsurprisingly, was absolutely delicious. It’s killing me knowing that our top tier is just sitting in the freezer for the next year. I also learned after our wedding that the owner himself delivered and set up our cake the day of our wedding, which may not seem like anything special, but it did mean a lot to me after talking with him about my grandma a few days prior to our wedding and how he remembered her ordering from them. 10/10 will always recommend.

Amazing cake!
Our reception venue had a few bakeries that we could choose from for our wedding cake that was included in our package. We are so happy that we chose Bethel Bakery! After our tasting, we still couldn't decide on a flavor combination, and Katlyn went out of her way to make sure we had the opportunity to try several more options until we decided on the perfect combo - almond cake with coconut cream filling - ABSOLUTELY delicious! Our guests raved about it. Beyond the taste, the design was simply BEYOND! I found a few art deco cake designs on Pinterest, and Katlyn was so creative and helpful in melding a few of them together to create the most gorgeous cake that looked like it was straight out of the Great Gatsby! At the end of the night, Bethel makes sure your top tier is packed up and ready to be frozen and eaten on your first anniversary if you choose to do so. The whole process couldn't have been easier or more fun. We highly recommend Bethel and can't wait to eat the top tier of our cake next year!

Delicious, and very pretty, cake!
They were wonderful and very accommodating. We requested a second cake tasting because we couldn't decide, and they had no problem with that, even gave our daughter cookies during the tasting! They called to confirm, were always professional, and delivered exactly what we'd hoped! We'd definitely recommend them!

Couldn’t be happier
When I got engaged, I knew I wanted my wedding cake from Bethel Bakery and they did not disappoint. They were so wonderful to work with and my cake was perfect and delicious! I also ended up ordering cookies which my guests also loved. Everything was perfect.

Very Simple (Just As We Wanted) But Delicious Too!
Bethel Bakery made our cake for our wedding at the DoubleTree in Downtown Pittsburgh. They had a very professional staff and our tasting was so much fun! They made our cake exactly as we wanted it, white cake with white buttercream frosting and buttercream pearls around the base of each tier. Our florist placed hydrangea accents on each tier and we separately bought a Promise Willow Tree cake topper. Bethel Bakery was very easy and responsive when trying to make sure that our cake topper was the appropriate dimension and weight so as not to make the cake fall. The cake was not only elegant on the eyes but was also incredibly delicious. Would recommend Bethel Bakery 11/10! You will not be disappointed!

Delicious Desserts
Our wedding cake was absolutely gorgeous. We had a four tier cake, each tier was two layers of red velvet cake and one layer of vanilla. Our guests raves about how delicious it was! We also ordered cookies for our cookie table and they were wonderful as well. The coconut macaroons were particularly delicious!

Beautiful and delicious custom cake
We had Bethel Bakery do a three-layer, multi-flavored cake for our wedding in June, 2019. They did a beautiful, custom black and white design for us to match our theme. One of the best tasting wedding cake I have had if I say so myself! Also a beautiful and delicious cookie table presentation. They spent an hour with me on the phone making sure they got all the details right.

Our cake was included in our venue
When my husband and I did our cake tasting we asked about lemon cake with strawberry filling. To our surprise they have never made a cake of this combination and the day of our tasting they made a small cake of it so we could sample it! Let’s just say it was the winner!! Even the workers were surprised about the taste of it.

Wedding Cake from Bethel Bakery
We ended up using Bethel Bakery based on a special through our venue, and I am so glad that we did! The staff was friendly and professional, and the cake was delicious. They worked closely with our venue to make sure that they had an appropriate headcount, knew where and when to deliver the cake, etc., making things so easy on us. I definitely recommend Bethel Bakery!

I swear that my cake was THE BEST tasting wedding cake I've ever tasted, hands down. My guests were raving to me about how delicious it was as well! My favorite is the icing. It has a whipped-like texture that's not overly sweet...simply perfection!

Bethel bakery made the selection of a wedding cake incredibly easy and fun. Our tasting was very informative and we were able to try all kinds of combinations to make sure we chose the best flavors for us. The design team also took a picture I found online and made a really close recreation with changes specific to our wedding's style. Overall, the cake looked great and tasted fantastic!

We were so thankful to have Bethel Bakery on our wedding team! The wedding team manager Katlyn is brilliant and so easy to get along with. We were planning the wedding from out of town, but they were great at communication and were able to schedule the trials on weekends when we were home. We got a combination of a wedding cake and cookies for the cookie table. They delivered everything on time and in easy to transport containers. Everything tasted amazing!!! People are still talking about the dessert tables. Would recommend to anyone without any reservations!

Our wedding cake from Bethel Bakery came as part of our reception package and we couldn't have picked a better bakery to work with. All of the cakes and frostings that we tried at our tasting were so delicious that it was hard to choose, but we were so happy our beautiful cake and can't wait to eat the top layer for our 1 year anniversary! The Bethel Bakery staff was so knowledgeable about how big of a cake to get based on our guest count, cake design ideas and great ways to alternate cake flavors for the different tiers. The bakery also made it very easy to order gluten free cupcakes for a few guests that were delivered to our reception venue along with the cake. We would highly recommend Bethel Bakery!

We were recommended to try Bethel's Bakeries taste sampling for wedding cakes. As our 4th appointment, we were sold and looked no further for our wedding cake. The delicious quality and ingredients are one of a kind. If you haven't tasted or had their cakes, you should! Our wedding cake was not delicious but a beautiful piece of culture throughout the night. It was almost too good to eat!

I have been to several weddings that used Bethel Bakery, each cake design it's self just blew us away. It's mind boggling what you can with a cake today. Not only were the cakes beautiful--- they were delicious.
In addition to attending weddings I also ordered (birthday, graduations, just because cakes etc) cakes off of Bethel Bakery for years--it is by far the best cake we ever had, keep in mind I have lived all over the country. John & his staff are so talented and are up to date with today's cake designs (think when the fondant craze started- that had to drive some bakeries crazy because people don't understand copyrights etc.)but they are always up for a reasonable challenge.
Bethel Bakery's cake is moist; there is a such thing called, rough cake, Bethel Bakery's is not rough it's moist and you just want more and more.
Their website has designs for guidance and they will work with you if you want to change colors or even create your own design. Bethel Bakery also will deliver your wedding cake. The best thing to do is call them. Or if you want to see what their cakes & pastries tastes like before ordering for your wedding or any other occasion? Schedule a tasting or just go in and order something, all of their cupcakes, cookies, pastries are made daily.. I promise you will love it.
Although I am not married, I still want to leave this review because I want people to know about Bethel Bakery--Bethel Park's hidden gem.
Note: it's making me put in a dollar amount, I just put in $500.00 estimating what we spent the past couple years.

Bethel Bakery has been a staple of my relationship with my husband. He and I always celebrate special occasions with sweets from Bethel. When it came to our wedding cake, we knew there was no other place to look besides Bethel Bakery. Our consultation was amazing, as we tried many different kinds of cake and fillings. We picked out a design, and Bethel Bakery was more than happy to alter the design to suit the theme of our wedding. The wedding cake was amazing, moist, rich, and flavorful. My father even requested more wedding cake at the end of the evening, stating it was the best wedding cake he has ever tasted! I would high recommend Bethel Bakery for your wedding cake needs and I look forward to tasting the top tier of our wedding cake next March for our one year anniversary. I have no doubt it will be just as delicious as it was that day!

We were able to schedule a tasting appointment and they helped us design a cake that fit us perfectly. We looked at pictures and color schemes and we were able to customize the design cake for what we were looking for. The cake was not only beautiful to look at but also tasted great!

We didn't think we wanted a full size cake but after the tasting we went for it and it turned out great! the best tasting wedding cake I've tried and it looked beautiful. They were flexible on the design and easy to work with. The separate wedding bakery facility is very professional and pretty. Everyone loved it and not outrageously priced.

This bakery is amazing! People are still raving about our cake from our wedding on November 12th! We got a yellow almond batter cake with vanilla and pumpkin spice filling. I was a little nervous about potentially being too basic for being fall, but this cake did not disappoint !

There was never a question of where we were going to get our Wedding Cake, it was always going to be Bethel Bakery! Their cakes and cookies are just amazing, we had Bethel Bakery make the cookies for our Cookie Table as well as our cake. Everyone at the wedding loved the cake and the cookies, they looked beautiful and tasted amazing. Their prices were really good too, everyone said we were crazy for buying cookies instead of making them ourselves but it worked out so much better with Bethel Bakery making them. They were cheaper then everyone thought and it made it so much easier for us to not have that extra worry of making cookies the week of the wedding. We ordered enough cookies for about 9 per person because they were also our favor. At the end of the night there were very few cookies left because everyone loved them!

Bethel Bakery was absolutely phenomenal to work with. The employees were incredibly helpful during our initial tasting, and the cake met and exceeded our expectations the day of the wedding. It looked stunning - the icing colors were vibrant and the icing roses were perfect in their detail. And, it tasted delicious! We got many compliments on the cake during and after the event. Additionally, we had leftover cake after the event (in addition to our frozen top tier), and I have to say that even the leftover cake kept very well! We were extremely pleased from start to finish and would highly recommend them to any engaged couple beginning their wedding planning process!

We met with Chelsea to design our dream cake and are so excited! We can't wait for our family and friends to see it and most importantly, taste it! Chelsea took her time and made sure that we understood the process and allowed us to design every detail of the cake. The experience with Bethel Bakery was great! They were organized when we came in for the tasting and gave us a good variety to taste. They had some displays for us to look at as well as a large selection of pictures to look through. Our cake was beautiful and delicious! I would have them for my wedding all over again!

Selecting a bakery for our wedding cake was easy.... had to be Bethel Bakery!! We have used Bethel my entire life... birthdays, Mother's Day, random cookies on a Tuesday :) Both my family and my husbands family loves the bakery and we were so pleased with our wedding cake! We had a fantastic time at the tastings (and got to bring our Moms!). They took such good care of us and really listened to our design ideas in detail. They were so conscientious about making sure that our vision would be carried out exactly as we imagined it and they totally nailed it! Not only was the cake the always-delicious bethel bakery cake but it was unique! They incorporated our metallic color scheme along with our sophisticated and glamorous design themes. The entire team at the bakery is professional, responsive and pleasant! We also ordered cookies for our cookie table from them and it was perfect as usual. And there weren't many left at the end of the night... I'm sure people recognized where they were from :) Thank you all for making our desserts perfect and delicious!

I never have to worry about the quality and taste of a cake from Bethel Bakery. My wedding cake was absolutely beautiful! People are still talking about how delicious the cake was. I had a white cake with raspberry and mango filling.

The wedding cake tasting must have been our favorite wedding preparation! The ladies at Bethel Bakery were wonderful to work with and made it so easy to choose our cake design, batter, and filling. The almond cake was absolutely delicious and the cake looked exactly how I imagined it would!

Bethel Bakery did a beautiful job creating my custom wedding cake! We chose the batter, filling, and icing based on the samples we tried in our tasting session on the spot! Our cake was decorated after agonizingly (because of me and my indecisiveness) going through every cake that was ever made and deciding on features from multiple cakes!!! The final product was delicious, beautiful, and a total non stressor on the big day! Everything was set up and waiting for us. And the instructions for the top tier preservation was easy to follow and I can't wait to open it next year!!!! Thank you bakers!!!

Bethel Bakery did a fantastic job on my wedding cake! The cake was absolutely delicious and it looked stunning! My husband does not like cake and even he said that it was delicious! We got so many compliments on both the taste and the look of the cake. They made it look exactly how I wanted and worked with me to make sure that they were meeting my expectations. All of the staff there was so friendly I'm so glad that we had them make our wedding cake and I would definitely recommend them to anyone!

Bethel Bakery not only has delicious baked goods but are extremely organized and professional. We decided to do cheesecake for our wedding cake but I wanted to have some regular cake for guests as well and do something nice for my now husband, so I surprised him with a groom's cake from Bethel Bakery. He is from Philadelphia so I found a photo of a cake in the shape of the Liberty Bell with all the Philly sports teams logos on it. The cake was such a hit with guests at the reception (everyone was taking photos of it) and it was delicious as well. My husband couldn't stop talking about it or smiling! Everyone said you can't go wrong with Bethel Bakery and I will tell others the same thing now - it was such a great experience working with them!

I want to thank Bethel Bakery for making my wedding dreams come true! First of all, my fiance and I knew immediately we wanted to have Bethel make our wedding cake because they were so professional, organized and their product was absolutely delicious. We ended up going with a white cake with mango and raspberry filling. It was so light and refreshing, our guests absolutely loved it! In regards to designing our cake, the wedding department was so helpful and accommodating...ensuring that our cake was the cake of our dreams!! We appreciated their input and support so much. Our cake was truely so beautiful it brought tears to my eyes!!
I decided a couple of months before the wedding to make a custom grooms cake as a surprise for my husband. I had a million ideas and Jodi somehow managed to turn them into one amazing cake. She was so patient and helpful, always offerring suggestions to make the cake perfect. The end result was incredible. My husband was blown away by the creativity of the cake and how delicious it was! (Chocolate cake with peanut butter and salted caramel filling.) I would recommend Bethel Bakery to anyone in a heart beat. Thank you so much Bethel for making my wedding day so special!!

Our wedding cake was beautiful!! We wanted a somewhat different design and showed them a couple pictures. The cake came out better than I would have ever expected. It was so beautiful I didn't want to eat it. Although that was delicious as well. They are a great company and I highly recommend using them! :)

Our wedding cake was from Bethel Bakery and it was AMAZING. From the moment we had our tasting, we knew it was going to be perfect. We went with the raspberry filling mixed with the chocolate and almond batters coupled with the famous buttercream frosting. Let's just say, we made time to eat our pieces of cake on our wedding day! YUM! We may just have to have another bite on our one month anniversary before we wait a whole year to eat it! Lastly, the design was gorgeous. They let us come up with our own idea and it came out perfectly! We love Bethel Bakery!

Had a great experience through email & then in person during the tasting. Had many options to choose from & easily mix & matched what we wanted for the design of our cake. After all of the stories in the news about bakeries refusing to do same-sex weddings, we were very hesitant about finding someone to bake for our wedding. In fact, we had emailed several bakeries in the area, and appallingly, most never even responded! Not so with Bethel Bakery. They were extremely professional and enthusiastic about making our cake, and treated us just like any other couple getting married. Going to the cake tasting, we sampled many of their combinations, and all of them were absolutely delicious. We settled on an almond cupcake with mango filling (a weird combination, we know, but it's delicious - try it!), topped with our wedding colors, along with a cupcake stand to display the cupcakes. After settling on the details, there was literally nothing else for us to do. They contacted our venue on their own, and they delivered and set up the cupcakes without us having to worry about any of it. I highly recommend Bethel Bakery, as they are a great value and make wonderful cakes!

Bethel Bakery is the preferred bakery at the Wyndhma Grand (our wedding venue) - and I'm glad. The cake was moist, delicious, and beautiful! We were able to design our own cake and it turned out beautifully!
