    SQN FTW! (for the win ;)

    Partnering with Beth and her fabulous SQN Event team was a wonderful experience. Beth provided great recommendations, kept us organized and on-track, and the day-of coordination was outstanding. As a bride, one of my favorite things about SQN Events was having someone that was solely focused on making sure my dress was perfect, my purse was packed with everything I needed for the day, I was wearing deodorant!, my bridesmaids dresses were steamed, and every bowtie was perfectly tied & straight. It was nice to "not sweat the small stuff" and know that everything was handled so that we could truly focus on enjoying the day with our family and friends. Beth also had a very thorough checklist of "to dos" prepared leading up to our wedding day - including details such as "break in your wedding shoes" a couple months prior to the big day. When we first decided to move forward with working with Beth we were strangers, and throughout the process of planning our wedding together we became fast friends! It was a pleasure working with Beth and the SQN team and it was an experience that we will never forget.

    Simply the best!

    Working with Beth (and SQN events) was all around wonderful. We truly were able to relax and enjoy our day knowing she is fiercely organized and has a strong attention to detail. Leading up to the wedding, she worked closely with me, helping manage a significant amount of detail items which were unique to our wedding. I couldn't imagine our day without Beth, and am lucky I didn't have to. She is the best and I could not recommend her more!

    Fabulous Event Planner!

    We could not say enough about Beth and her team. We had a complex venue at the Chicago Cultural Center with all of the nuances of having a large, elegant wedding a public building. But when the freight elevator became unavailable for our event, Beth was amazing. She had triaged with all of the vendors and had a plan worked out before even calling me (kudos to Lara from the CCC also). Beth is the ultimate professional - she is organized, methodical, cool under pressure and has exquisite taste. I cannot recommend her highly enough.

    Beth pulled it all together

    Beth was such an amazing planner and I would recommend her to anyone planning a logistically difficult event! She handled every step and complication with ease and had solutions ready and vetted before even speaking with us. We had our wedding at the Chicago Cultural Center and right before the event, the service elevator broke! Beth had already arrange walk-throughs with all of the vendors and developed a game plan that worked both for our guests and the vendors. She only called to inform us of the situation once she had a plan and knew that it would work! Beth and her team eliminated so much of the logistical head aches for us and let us truly enjoy the event. Beth was always available through the planning process, respectfully listened to what we wanted, and helped us execute flawlessly. I highly recommend Beth and her team!

    I've already recommended Beth to friends I know planning their own weddings!

    Beth was wonderful to work with, I have already recommended her to friends of mine planning their own weddings. She got to know me and worked off of my crazy Type A organization. I asked what felt like a million questions via text and email over the course of the year and she would respond in a timely manner, in full detail, no matter how small the question- it was a HUGE help to have that as I went through the process. I had lost my mom less than a year before planning my wedding which made it an emotional time- Beth was very understanding and went above and beyond to be there for every single appointment and dress fitting, she even helped to plan our rehearsal dinner when she could tell how stressed I was about that undertaking. We got married at the Art Institute which came with it's own set of rules, tight timelines and stipulations; Beth had worked weddings in that venue before and it was very apparent- she knew questions I did not even know to ask. On the day-of, I did not have to worry about a single thing, we were able to just relax and fully be in the moment and enjoy the day knowing that the SQN team had everything under control. Countless people came up to ask who the "amazing woman running the show was". Thank you SQN and especially, Beth!

    Our first and best step

    We decided to work with Beth Bernstein very early in our wedding planning journey, and it was absolutely the best initial step we could have taken. Beth worked closely with us on all aspects of planning our wedding, from selecting our venue, band, and florist to the details of our ceremony and dinner menu. Beth coupled her depth of expertise with a remarkable ability to understand our preferences and style and to translate that into concrete plans. She helped us to articulate and realize a vision for our wedding day in ways that we never could have done without her skillful guidance, and she seamlessly managed innumerable details so that we could be fully present and enjoy the wedding weekend. The result was a wedding day that perfectly embodied us as a couple and the experience we wanted for our guests. Finally, Beth is truly enjoyable to work with: she is responsive, organized, and demonstrates the joy she finds in her work. Choosing Beth was one of the best choices we made in the wedding planning process—aside, of course, from choosing each other.

    Best Decision for our Wedding

    Choosing to work with Beth & SQN Events was the best and most important decision we made in planning our wedding! Beth delivered on everything that she promised and helped us to have the wedding of our dreams that we didn't even know how to envision. She was 100% accessible and provided us with her sense of humor, emotional support and expertise through out the entire process. Beth connected us with impressive vendors and stayed in tune with our wishes for the day, bringing with her a team that allowed for the perfect day that was enjoyed by all who were in attendance. Beth went out of her way to make the entire planning process a special experience to be remembered. We have attended a few weddings since which has only grown our appreciation for the executing of our wedding.

    Working with Beth was fantastic. She made every stress and worry day off melt away with how organized and prepared she was. She did a wonderful job connecting us the right vendors to make our visions into reality and helped us stay on budget.. And the day of ended up being absolutely prefect. Our wedding wouldn't have been what it was without Beth.

    Working with Beth Bernstein took any ounce of worry or stress off our plate. She was a major component to the success of our wedding. From the pre-planning phase up until the return of all of our items safely in our room, it all was perfection. Beth and her team were extremely professional and more than organized. She helped us compile all our needs into incredible systematic approaches, which helped us get a handle on what we still needed to do. I also should mention what a fantastic personality Beth has. She is extremely approachable and has a presence about her that just puts you at ease. Our perfect wedding would not have been perfection without Beth, and for that, we are very grateful!

    Beth was nothing short of a miracle. Early in our wedding process we entertained the idea of "going it alone." My wife and I are both in the entertainment industry and have lots of contacts who we thought might be able to help us out. In the end we opted against the DIY route and hired Beth. I will tell you that it was, without a doubt, the BEST money we spent on our entire wedding. Beth was compassionate, responsive, helpful. She gently calmed us down when either/both of us were getting anxious. She was the voice of experience to help guide our choices and set priorities. She kept us on time and on budget. Beth SAVED us money by helping to identify where we could reasonably cut costs and by finding great vendor deals we would never have found on our own. The weeks prior to the wedding were calm, easy going and enjoyable because we knew things were taken care of. The wedding day itself was...perfect. So much of that had to with Beth and her team. Their professionalism and experience made our wedding what it was--one of the absolute best days of my life.

    Our wedding was a spectacular and memorable event that was masterfully orchestrated by Beth Bernstein of SQN. She took care of everything so that we could truly enjoy the day and relish in the moment. Beth and her team were wonderful and focused on making sure that my wife and I were taken care of and without any worries.

    Stop your search for wedding planners and choose SQN, NOW!. I interviewed close to 10 different companies to find a “Day of Coordinator” for my Art Institute of Chicago Wedding. SQN offered a very competitive price and I was completely sold at the idea of there being 3 different people (our planner + 2 assistants) at our reception to help get everything ready—while other places only had 2 people and charged significantly more. Our planner even brought all of our personal items/gifts back to our hotel for us—which a bunch of companies said they were unable to do.

    Our planner, Ashley, was incredible. Besides being pretty much the nicest person on the planet, she flawlessly managed all of our vendors—a task made much more difficult because of the very strict rules of having a reception at the AIC. My husband and I are both huge control freaks—and it was so wonderful to have someone just take over and make sure that everything was exactly the way we wanted. We could not have pulled off such an amazing reception without her. From switching some tables around at the last minute at my request, to wrangling our Gelato Vendor who was momentarily MIA, to having a glass of champagne ready for my FIL at the conclusion of his toast, Ashley was on top of everything. She also made sure to personally walk my elderly relatives to a reserved table during cocktail hour, and out to our shuttle bus when they were ready to leave for the evening and check in with my mom multiple times during the evening to see if she needed anything.

    I strongly recommend that anyone hosting a Chicagoland wedding take a look at SQN. We did not have one negative experience with this company. We were so impressed with both Ashley and Beth (the owner)’s professionalism and efforts to make our day as perfect as possible. I truly cannot say enough good things about them!

    I am thrilled that I chose to work with SQN events. My wedding this past October exceeded my expectations and that is thanks to Beth and her talented team. Beth is extremely professional and organized, and she kept me on track during the entire wedding planning process. She took the time to get to know both me and my husband on a personal level, and thus was able to coordinate a wedding that reflected our tastes. She is very connected within the wedding industry, and having access to her network proved to be very valuable for us. Being a very busy professional myself, I was able to save hours of time researching various vendors, because Beth was always able to point us in the right direction.

    Some examples of how Beth went above and beyond her required duties include:
    -Went dress shopping with me several times (her opinion was extremely valuable because she quickly learned my sense of style)
    -Attended dress fittings for both me and my bridesmaids
    -Attended all meetings with photographer and videographer
    -Was always available for questions via email, text, or phone call
    -Helped us design our wedding invitations, save the dates, etc
    -Spent the time to get to know me and my husband (very important!)

    From the moment that we signed on to work with Beth and SQN Events for our August wedding, it felt like a huge weight was immediately lifted from our shoulders. Everything that might have been stressful about the planning process all of the sudden felt streamlined and fun. The vendors Beth suggested for us were beyond all of our expectations. Not only were they great to work with, but it's a testament to their talent that our guests had comments like, "best engagement photos I've ever seen," "best band I have ever heard," "most beautiful chuppah" ... the list goes on and on! Of course, Beth was the one that brought all of these pieces together, and the fact that compliments were not just about one specific thing, but about all of the different elements, shows what an exceptional job Beth did on seeing the bigger picture and creating the day of our dreams. Beth attended all of our vendor meetings, always prepared with the questions we didn't even know to be asking. She also was always happy to chat/email/meet in person to make sure we were comfortable throughout the entire planning process. Further, the weekend/day of the wedding were flawless. We felt so at ease knowing everything would be under control, and we could focus on spending time with family and friends and actually enjoying ourselves without having to think about details and logistics. If anyone is debating whether or not to hire a planner, we can definitely say that working with Beth was the best decision (and use of budget) during the wedding process.     ​During the year we worked with Beth planning our daughter's out of state wedding, we realized how essential consultants really are. It was obvious to us from the beginning that Beth had a lot of knowledge and experience. We had confidence in her advice regarding etiquette ​&​ current trends--she has an eye for detail ​&​ excellent taste! She was a mix of no-nonsense determination to meet all of the deadlines & calm reassurance when we were overwhelmed.

    It was such a comfort knowing ​Beth​ was there in Chicago making sure we were on schedule. She was always there (when we were unable to be) attending vendor meetings with our daughter ​&​ future son-in law. We felt her consulting fee was very reasonable. She more than earned every penny of it through the year, but everything Beth & her team did on the day of the wedding was priceless.

    All of us had a stress-free wedding day because we never had a doubt that everything would go according to plan. Beth ​&​ her amazing team tied it all together seamlessly so we could relax ​&​ enjoy time with our guests. They were there behind the scenes quietly making sure everything went smoothly. So many of our guests told us that day ​&​ for weeks after the wedding that it was "the best wedding they had ever attended". We know that a major part of creating that​ beautiful​ memorable day was due to Beth ​&​ all of the months of ​careful ​planning we did together.

    Beth was so much more than a 'planner'. She was the ultimate organizer, financial analyst, human behavior expert ​&​ motivational coach all rolled into one friendly, professional woman with a sense of humor & tolerance in any​ situation. Her trusted advice and help, planning and managing were so invaluable​,​ we would never plan another wedding again without a consultant.     Beth Bernstein was such an asset to our wedding planning process. She helped keep my family, my groom and I calm and organized in the months leading up to the big day (and ON the big day, of course.) She's there if you need to vent and is great in a crisis. For example, she helped me figure out what to do when my church told me less than 10 days before our wedding that they were holding a "wing fest" fundraiser in their parking lot. Yes -- true story. Beth helped us find great valet service at the last minute to help our guests. SQN Events rules!

    Beth is the BEST wedding planner in the world. We could not have made our dream wedding come true without her. She is extremely reliable, helpful, and organized. We planned our wedding in a short 4 months, and we didn't think it would be possible. But, Beth had every detail covered and we did not have to worry about anything. We were planning from out of town on a short timeline so she attended meetings for us, helped choose things per our taste and vision for our wedding, and advocated for us the whole time. She was also very timely in responding to all emails and phone calls. She worked so hard to make sure that everything was perfect. On the day of the wedding she was amazing as well. She worked hard behind the scenes to make sure everything went flawlessly. We did not have to coordinate or worry about anything except enjoying ourselves because Beth had it all covered. We cannot say enough about Beth and how amazing she was, our wedding would not have been so perfect without her!

    Beth assisted and guided us for a year through the process of planning our daughters wedding. She was vital in directing us through the selection of the venue, photographer, musicians, event designer and more. We completely trusted her to manage everything about the day of the wedding and couldn't be more happy with the way it turned out. The ceremony, dinner and reception flowed effortlessly from beginning to end and it was because of her attention to detail, constant professionalism, and hands on management. We feel blessed to have been introduced to Beth.

    Beth Bernstein and her company have done an incredible job planning and directing my daughter's wedding. Being a mother of the bride, I had a fabulous time working with Beth. Her thoughtfulness, ability to listen, and high professionalism made the wedding a "worry free" event. My job was to relax and enjoy every moment of the wedding.

    My husband and I were engaged for nearly eighteen months prior to our wedding and we hired Beth Bernstein at SQN Events almost immediately. Throughout the process, Beth was attentive to our needs and wants. She was the most organized and professional person I've ever had the privilege of working with. Planning a wedding is such a personal and stressful process, but with Beth it was enjoyable and seamless (at least on our end). Be rest-assured that if Beth ever has to come to you with an issue, it's only because she's exhausted all other possible options first. She's honest, talented, one of the hardest working individuals I've ever met, and not to mention she has exquisite taste...and that goes a long way! You'd be a fool not to let her plan your event/wedding.

    I interviewed several wedding coordinators before finding Ashley, and as soon as we connected I was relieved and incredibly confident in her ability to execute our wedding flawlessly and she absolutely did!
    We had 225 guests for an outdoor wedding ceremony and tented reception to follow where everything from floor to ceiling needed to be brought in, and we needed someone who was very skilled with a lot of expertise to oversee it. Ashley has a fantastic reputation in the industry and her and her team were a joy to work with not only from our perspective but from our other vendors as well who she is very well respected by. Ashley was proactive and helped us think through every aspect and detail, was extremely knowledgeable and well connected and our wedding day went off without a hitch thanks to her! I would highly recommend Ashley for your wedding or any event to ensure it is perfect!

    Beth was great at holding my hand and making me feel secure that it was all going to turn out well. She was also able to turn us on to some wonderful vendors for the wedding, and she made all the appointments.We love the photographer – Kevin Weinstein; The band - SWAY - was fabulous! They kept everybody dancing every minute, and everyone loved them. The florist was spectacular. Richard Remiard made the room look magical! The invitations from Elizabeth Grace were just beautiful. Beth seems to have a wonderful relationship with all of these different vendors and that was very helpful to us. Beth also worked very well with the people at the standard club who are absolutely amazing at putting on a wedding. I would do it all again, with Beth has my planner, in a heartbeat.

    We had Ashley Crawford as our wedding coordinator and could not have been happier with her. Ashley was so professional, always available and went above and beyond to plan out every detail of the day and put our minds at ease. Not one thing went wrong on the day of the wedding, and I definitely attribute a lot of that to Ashley. She had a plan for everything, from keeping people on schedule, to even helping us cut the cake, haha. We loved her. If you are looking for someone to help with making your big day go smoothly, you will not be disappointed with hiring her

    Beth helped plan our 8-16-14 wedding. Living in Boston, we knew a planner was a must, and we’re so happy with our decision to hire Beth! Beth was very responsive to all of our emails (which was especially important to us living so far away). We managed to make ALL of our decisions within three short visits to Chicago. Because Beth is so attentive to detail and organized, she had every meeting set up and emailed us our itinerary beforehand. Since we weren’t living in Chicago anymore, it was hard to know which vendors to choose. She helped narrow our choices (based on my style) on everything from florist, décor, invitations, photographer/videographer, food, you-name- it!

    Aside from her keen “business” side, Beth’s personal style is already on-point, so making my vision a reality was pure perfection. That being said, the team she worked with was nothing short of AMAZING!! I still have people talking about the wedding saying there’s no way it can be topped (so true!). You can truly tell Beth is thought of highly in the Chicago wedding industry.

    My wedding day, was honestly the most relaxing, seamless and fun days I’ll always remember! Because I was so well taken care of, I forgot how hard everyone else was working at that time to make my wedding so fabulous. Beth had two assistants working with her that day as well as a stylist (Tonya was beyond-words-amazing) who took care of my bridesmaids and even had to hand tie all the groomsmen’s bowties (poor thing!). As nerve wracking as it may seem, I did not know a single thing that was going on behind the scenes – this goes from the trolleys picking up the guests from the hotel, to the vendors setting up (times they were arriving to the venue), take down, etc. If something went wrong, I still have no clue to this day!

    I’ll say it a million times, hiring Beth was the BEST decision we could have made for our wedding! Thank you for everything :)

    Beth was absolutely fantastic - my wedding could not have happened without her! She had an innate sense of attention to detail that can't be matched. The little touches she put on our wedding were fantastic - chalkboards with our hashtag for the bar area, hiring an extra assistant to help with the girls' dressing needs, and preparing some alone time for my husband and I to enjoy food and drinks during our wedding. She was responsive, organized, and a joy to work with. Her referrals for rehearsal dinner venues, florists, and other services were fantastic. She really made this whole process wonderful.

    SQN Events provided superlative and consultative service. The owner, Beth, is extremely hands-on and involved in every last detail. From the very beginning, she listened to our vision, made valuable suggestions, and participated in the process. This included not only attending vendor appointments, but contributing to the meetings as both a trusted advisor and (what felt like to me anyway!) a big sister. Many of the vendors we worked with were suggestions from SQN Events; we found that this experience and those connections in the industry were tremendously helpful. SQN Events always looked out for our interests and provided helpful opinions when needed. Responsiveness is critical and eased my mind. One day, I texted Beth asking her what she thought of my beard and if I should try it out for the big day. The response I received was one I will never forget. Beth told me that I needed to do what made me feel like I looked my best. She pointed out that in 10 or 20 years from now, when I look back at the wedding photos, what would I want to see? What made me look my best? This is the kind of advice that goes beyond just "event planning"...there was a very personal connection, and yet it was so professional, in that she made it my decision, and coached me to use my best judgement. Beth's associate, Ashley, was also amazing on the "day-of". I never felt like anything went wrong, and trusted that I could relax and enjoy the day. Her professionalism truly shined. Our every wish was granted that day. My husband, Brian, and I felt like kings (well maybe queens!) that day. SQN Events wholeheartedly contributed to making our dreams come true on the most significant day of our lives. We're forever smiling...and now I want to plan another event!

    I would (and have) recommend Beth to any friend getting married. She was such an asset to the whole process and she went above and beyond what we could have expected of her. She was present for every single vendor meeting and could always offer valuable advice. Beth is well known in the industry and had solid relationships with all of our vendors which made our wedding day run smoothly.

    SQN Events, and more specifically, Ashley Crawford, was the perfect wedding planner for us. We really could not have been more pleased with the services that were provided -- from beginning to end. Our wedding night went off without a hitch & was everything we had imagined (and more), which, was in large part due to Ashley's professionalism, promptness, attention to detail, charisma, creativity, personality & the passion she has for what she does.

    Our 350-person wedding was held at St. Michael's church & our reception was held at the Field Museum. Because we chose a venue that didn't provide catering, decor, etc., we had to work with a number of separate vendors throughout the planning process. Ashley made that extremely easy for us; she was the point-of-contact for all communication and made sure that a VERY detailed weekend schedule was circulated well before the big day so that everyone was on the same page.

    Ashley then had the expansive museum set exactly as we had hoped it would be, and truly went above & beyond with the smallest of details (i.e., adjustment of professional lighting throughout the night, arrangement and re-arrangement of furniture & decor, timing of special dances, gifting, etc.) so that the night was as perfect as it could have possibly been. She was the last person out the door, and made sure that all of our gifts and personal belongings were safe in our hotel room so that we could enjoy the after-party.

    Ashley also provided helpful advice throughout the planning process -- from how much to tip our vendors, to how long we should expect certain moments in the day to last, to valet company recommendations. She was available whenever we needed her, and made a point to check-in with us on a regular basis.

    Choosing your wedding planner is one of the most important things you will do in the wedding planning process. If you're a Type A perfectionist like me, SQN Events is the company for you! I promise you will not be disappointed.

    I've seen it said in other reviews and it almost feels cliche to say, but hiring Beth really was one of the best decisions we made during our planning process. I'll try to be specific so that this review isn't too redundant of all the other raves!

    We had booked a lot of our major vendors for our December wedding but by mid-summer reached the point where we were about to sign contracts for a lot of money for things we didn't understand - I didn't know how to tell if a floral proposal was reasonable for my expectations or what good ways to compromise were. I didn't know how to feel about draping, and I felt like I had lost control of our budget, so we decided we could really use the help of a planner and wanted advice that went beyond day-of coordination.

    Beth stood out to us among other planners we interviewed because we could tell she would be willing to take charge and handle tough situations while truly being our advocate and helping us bring our vision to life. We talked to a few planners who seemed a little too low key and one who was going to be way too much. Beth struck the perfect balance of supportive and assertive for us. (and sure enough, she was able to grab the drink out of an unruly groomsman's hand before walking down the aisle and be an incredibly positive support through the entire process)

    Every one of the vendors that Beth set us up with was awesome, including some last minute plans when our original plans fell through, like our rehearsal dinner location closing a couple weeks before the wedding or a major element of the ceremony that my brother was making not getting done.

    the best part though? I left my phone at the hotel on my wedding day. I didn't worry about timing for anything because I knew Beth had it under control and I was able to be totally present.

    Seriously, this lady is awesome :)

    From the moment we hired Beth Bernstein as our wedding planner it was clear that we had made the best and most important wedding decision. Beth brought to our planning a level of expertise that one rarely sees in wedding planning or for that matter any event planning. Beth has access to the top vendors from venues, music,videographers, flowers, hair, makeup and the list goes on.     When my now-husband and I began planning our wedding, we knew we’d need someone to help us with the day-of execution, but we couldn’t have anticipated how invaluable it would be to have Beth and SQN Events on our team for the months leading up to the wedding!

    We first met Beth when she was setting up for another wedding at Galleria Marchetti (where we held our reception) during our initial site visit. We reached out to her about 6 months later after we had done a bit more planning to help us in the important couple of months leading up to our wedding.

    Before the wedding, Beth spent the time to make sure she understood our vision for the big day. She was incredibly organized, making sure we didn’t overlook any of the finer planning details, was there to share her advice and ideas on details we hadn’t yet planned, and advocated for us with our other vendors to make sure everything was executed according to our vision.

    On the day of the wedding, she made sure that everything within our control ran flawlessly so my husband, our parents and I didn’t have to worry about anything. She stayed until our last guest left the reception, negotiated with our bus driver to make another trip to pick up our remaining guests, and delivered everything to our hotel the night of the wedding so we wouldn’t have to worry about it the next morning.

    In short, Beth was amazing! I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for an incredibly talented, organized and fun to work with wedding planner!

    Beth was (and is) amazing! Having Beth help us with our wedding was one of the best decisions I have ever made. She is 100% on top of everything, responds to all inquiries very quickly (she might not sleep), and very easy and fun to work with. We had a slight wedding emergency a few months before our event and Beth was invaluable in resolving the issue and she really went above and beyond to help us. And on the actual day of our wedding I literally did not have a single worry or concern - Beth took care of everything, which was awesome! Do yourself a favor, hire SQN for your wedding. Beth and her team are worth every penny (and then some).

    Working with Beth was great! She helped me plan my wedding in less than 7 months. She was very decisive and helped us make decisions quickly since we didn't have a ton of time. I'm very hands-on and she helped relieve a lot of the stress that I was putting on myself and my husband. Towards the end, I felt comfortable leaving every detail to her and just enjoying the 2 weeks leading up to my wedding. On the day of, everything went beautifully. Ashley assisted Beth at our wedding and she was equally as fantastic and professional. My husband and I had the best wedding day and SQN played a big role in that.

    My husband and I hired Beth Bernstein with SQN Events to provide "day-of" wedding services for our February 16, 2013 wedding. Her services started approximately 2 months prior to the wedding (on top of her answering all of my one-off questions along the way). She took over all the of the communication with my vendors, made schedules for the rehearsal and wedding day, and even attended one of my dress fittings! The wedding day went off without a hitch. Beth and her assistant Ashley made sure that every detail came together beautifully. They even made sure that all the gifts and various items ended up back in our suite at the end of the night. The wedding day was the best of my life and we couldn't have done with without Beth's hard work and dedication. The Brener's highly recommend SQN Events!!

    Hiring Beth of Sqn Events as our wedding planner was the first and best decision I made when it came to planning my wedding. Since we were getting married in Chicago, but living in Utah- I was very nervous about the many unknowns of planning a destination wedding. Beth was very knowledgeable, and always able to answer any question. She was also very flexible and able to work around our schedule when were able to fly into town for planning. I really felt like I was her number one client.

    The thing I appreciated most was her advice on which vendors to hire. We absolutely loved every vendor that she referred, especially our photographer. She completely understood our vision, and seamlessly brought that vision to life!

    On the day of the wedding, Beth was able to keep everything running on schedule without making things feel stressful or rushed. I can honestly say that our wedding was everything I dreamed it would be.

    I cannot say enough great things about Beth and SQN events! I hired Beth 4 months before my wedding and I so wish I had found her sooner! Beth completely understood my vision after just one meeting and introduced me to amazing vendors who were the perfect fit and who each did an incredible job. Beth is so organized, professional and helpful in guiding you during your planning. There are so many options and decisions to be made and I completely trusted Beth with helping me. Beth and her team make you feel like you are their only client and will make sure you don't have to worry about a thing on your wedding day. For example, Beth brought lunch to the hotel for the entire bridal party( something that completely had slipped my mind!). On top of that, they brought all of our personal belongings and flower arrangments to my father's house the next day! It is obvious that Beth loves what she does and she genuinely cares about making sure your wedding is everything you want it to be. I am so glad I had Beth to guide me through planning and to have her there on our wedding day!

    Beth Bernstein added so much value and so much comfort to my family on my daughter's wedding weekend. Having her on our wedding team made everything run smoothly -- the rehearsal, all communications between the band and the catering staff, the florist/design people, etc. Beth provided a terrific backup makeup artist on short notice when our first choice faced a serious health crisis. Beth kept our Bride calm and confident and helped her resolve a looming wardrobe malfunction with her strapless, backless designer gown. In short, Beth helped us create a magical wedding without breaking the budget. She was delightful and extremely professional in every regard. We didn't even think we needed a day-of wedding coordinator, much less a wedding planner, but we are so privileged to have benefited from Beth and her deep reserves of skills and connections throughout the last six months of the planning process.. Together we created the perfect wedding for our daughter and her groom!

    Beth is amazing, and I can't tell everyone how much we appreciated everything she did for us. She was by far the best vendor that we worked with during the wedding planning process (we worked with a number of high profile Chicago vendors). Our wedding had a lot of hiccups along the way (eg. no officiant 30 minutes before the wedding; guests without pre-ordered food), but Beth handled everything professionally and made both my wife and me feel at ease. She is truly one of the best wedding planner/organizers in Chicago and people would be stupid not to hire her.

From asking (and more importantly, getting answers to!) every question on my mind before I'd even ask at our rehearsal to quieting my nervous concerns right before I walked down the aisle, she was all over it!     Beth Bernstein at SQN made my wife's surprise 40th Birthday party a huge success and i give her all the credit for organizing and pulling the whole event off without a hitch. Beth provided creative ideas with many choices and always was responsive to my requests. She made the whole process incredibly easy for me (husband with no party planning experience) and turned the event into an incredible memorable night for my wife and all of our friends and family. I will always use Beth for any events we hold in the future and highly recommend her if you want to have a fun and classy event with every detail taken care of to perfection.

    Hiring Beth and her team was hands-down the smartest decision we made when planning our wedding. Beth is a true professional: she listens, gets things done the way they are supposed to be, and is a wonderful advocate for the bride and groom (whether it be with working with vendors, or navigating tricky family dynamics). Beth consistently went above and beyond any expectations we could have had when we hired her--not because she was asked, but because she genuinely wants her couples to have the most perfect day possible.

    There are seemingly countless more wonderful things I could say to praise Beth, but if you are reading this and have gotten this far, do yourself a favor: pick up the phone and call Beth. Have a meeting, and then hire her. She is amazing, and you will be thanking your lucky stars on your wedding day and beyond that you had her at your side.

    Beth was such a pleasure to work with - she truly did make the event take flight in so many ways. Her responsiveness was invaluable and something I really appreciate in any vendor. Let's face it, things will go wrong on a wedding day, and it's how you handle them that create the divide between a good wedding planner and a great one. Beth definitely falls into the "great" category, and our wedding simply wouldn't have been so well put together without her. Also, she became a true friend throughout the process, providing direction and advice that helped me greatly both as a woman and a bride.

    SQN brings a fresh, creative and personalized perspective to your wedding. Whether you know exactly what you want or you are still defining it, SQN (Beth Bernstein was my planner)adds value and helps make your vision better than you ever imagined. I do not live in Chicago, but Beth got to know me and my taste and was my advocate at meetings I could not attend in person (or at all). She understood my style and worked to make the wedding mine. She knew exactly when and how to step up to help my family and me and when to take a more secondary role. We loved working with her and would recommend her to anyone - even my closest friends and family.

    SQN events provided exemplary service and value for our money. I can't imagine planning another event without their services!

    Beth Bernstein and SQN events helped us realize the perfect wedding celebration party for our son and new daughter-in-law. Beth completely understood our vision for the party, helping us decide on the perfect spot to celebrate. She suggested so many wonderful touches that added tremendously to the occasion--things we never would have thought of without her help. And she was very respectful of the budget we set for the event. Beth's creativity, responsiveness, big picture vision as well as attention to detail, all made it wonderful to work with her. And we had such fun working with her too! We'd definitely use SQN again to plan a wedding or another special event.

    Beth is a wonderful wedding planner. She attended to every detail and was always ready to help! She has great communication skills and always checked in with us to give an update on what she had done. She went out of her way to make our day amazing. She will ensure your day runs smoothly. I would recommend her to anyone in a heartbeat!!!

    We almost didn't hire a wedding planner. Thank GOD we changed our minds. I truly don't think we would have gotten through without Beth. She has connections all over Chicago but was also more than welcoming with new vendors that we found and wanted to use. She helped navigate some tricky situations that came up both with family and wedding logistics and made it all go smoothly. A wonderful collaborator, professional, and now friend, we can't recommend Beth and SQN Events more!

    Beth is an excellent wedding planner and I could not have planned my daughter's wedding without her help. She multi-tasks effectively with charm and grace. Even at the most stressful times, she uses humor appropriately to help reduce anxiety. Beth is competent, communicative, available, detail-oriented, and just fun to be around. I can't think of a single way in which somebody else would have done a better job than Beth. Please run, do not walk, to sign up with her if you are planning a wedding and want it to go smoothly. You could not be in better hands.

    Beth from SQN helped put us in touch with some of the best vendors in the business, especially our make up artists, stationary from Magificent Milestones and decor from Kehoe! She took a lot of the "guess" work out of choosing different vendors like the band, photography, etc., which were areas we were not familiar with. She had great knowledge of different combinations for items that were needed and provided suggestions as warranted. She helped make our vision a reality on our very special day!

    "Don't worry" and "I will make it happen"....is there anything else a bride wants to hear from her planner?? It was such a pleasure working with Beth since day one. I am scared to even imagine what our wedding day would have been like without her and her team. Beth was on top of everything. She even had decor surprises at the venue for me! She's experienced, professional, organized, was always available for us, and overall just a delightful person to work with. People are still talking about our wedding and we owe so much to Beth!

    Beth and her team were absolutely amazing! Their "weekend of wedding planner services" truly allowed us (and our families) to fully focus on enjoying the celebration and time with our family and friends - they took care of all of the details so we did not have to worry about anything! Beth even went above and beyond and assisted with some of our pre-wedding planning tasks!

    Beth at the team at SQN were amazing to work with. Our wedding on 11/12/11 went off without a hitch and there is no way we could've done it without them. Beth is professional, organized, well informed and fun to work with. She was proactive in giving me suggestions and advice but was never pushy. I took 99% of her suggestions and am so glad I did. Our wedding was amazing and we owe her a huge thank you. I highly recommend SQN events for planning and/or weekend of coordination. They are fantastic. Thank you Beth, Stephanie & Ashley for makeing our wedding perfect!

    Beth (and her team, on the "day of") were great to work with. Incredibly organized and helpful. I decided to work with a weekend/day of planner mainly to help take the pressure off of my parents because I wanted them to enjoy the day/weekend. She certainly helped with that! I am a very organized/type A person, so felt like I had organized a lot on my own, but having Beth there to help made a huge different to my family and helped take a lot of stress away from me to know that she was taking care of all our vendors arrival times, etc.

    Beth and her team were amazing. From the very beginning of our planning Beth had impeccable taste. She introduced us to an amazing florist, amazing custom stationary company, and amazing bakery (which sadly now has closed). Our wedding was very detailed and one to two months before our wedding the venue coordinator moved away. We were so worried with the venue new staff because it seemed that they were unaware of so many of our wedding day details. Beth worked with the new venue coordinator and made sure everything went smoothly. It was 106 degrees on our wedding day. Beth and her team went into contingency mode and worked with the venue to make arrangements to keep our guests cool and happy. She even wore a dress that coordinated with our wedding colors! Her staff was on hand for our every need on our wedding day and we could not have been more impressed. I thought I had lost my bridal bouquet after our reception but when we got back to our hotel room there was all of our belongings from the reception and there was my bouquet in a vase on the table waiting for me!. Beth is very petite but don't let that fool you, she is a work horse! Did I mention she hooked me up with the BEST hair and make up team ever?! My mom is still talking about how much she loved our hair and make up 6 months later and she is tough to impress! If you want to work with the best and not deal with attitude and pretense hire Beth and her team!

    Beth is experienced and professional. She was always prompt and responsive. We had a lot of personal items that needed to be transported to the venue and back to the hotel, and she took care of everything! It was worth hiring her just for that alone. She had two assistants and everything ran smoothly. My brother officiated the ceremony, but since it was his first time, she was able to guide him and help everything run perfectly. I was so happy with this vendor, and I would highly recommend her to have peace of mind on your special day. She also gave us a gratuity guide and took care of all of it on the day of. I can't even write all of things that Beth handled.
