The Best Day Ever Officiant was amazing!! John made our day so special. The ceremony was so personal and intimate. He took the time to get to know us before our wedding day and really listened to all we had to say and used that info to make our ceremony incredibly personal. I'm a wedding photographer, and I've been to a LOT of weddings in the past decade, but John is among the very best officiants. We eloped, and he was the perfect choice to make our day awesome. He even arrived early to scope the area out and found the best spot for us. He cares not just for the wedding day, but genuinely invests in his clients. We clicked with him the first time we met over the phone, and really feel like he fit right into our day perfectly. We didn't just get an officiant. We got a friend. If you haven't booked him yet, do it now! You won't regret it. -

The Best Officiant Ever!
John is fantastic! Very flexible and accommodating. He really listened to what we wanted in a ceremony. He is professional in appearance and behavior. Dependable and prompt. Excellent communication. Best of all, John is kind, caring and seems to truly love life. What more could you ask for on your wedding day. Thank you, John!! -

John performed our ceremony in our backyard in front of a small group of friends and family. It was magical and much of it was because of him. He set up a call with us prior to the event to learn more about my husband and I. Then he customized the ceremony with some of what he learned about us. It was personal and really lovely. The best compliment I can give is I hope we see John again. He became a fast friend through this process and we feel lucky to have found him! -

John was amazing! We had the best experience. We hired John about 6 months before our wedding. He scheduled a call before to understand what we were looking for, and we hired him on the spot after the call! He was extremely responsive, kind and respectful of what we hoped our ceremony to be. I always thought it a bit strange to have a stranger marry you, but John really felt like a friend in the process and day of. Once we discussed our wishes and details, he created a custom ceremony script for us. We then had many opportunities to update it. I am glad he was so on top of it, and it was great to get that started to avoid last minute rushing. He was so easy going and flexible - just the best experience. Friends asked if we knew him as that's how seamlessly he fit into the wedding. I would highly recommend John! -

My wife and I were seriously BLOWN AWAY by how amazing John was.
Not only did he meet with us beforehand to discuss the wedding, but he got to know us personally to create a beautiful and memorable ceremony that was personalized to us! He was friendly and enthusiastic about our wedding as well as us as a couple.
On the day of the event, he was also extremely patient and quick to help guide us through it!
If we ever decide to renew our vows years down the road, John will absolutely be our pick to officiate again! -

I am so please that we hired John as our officiant. He was very consistent with reaching out to us, even in the busy times he was patient and understanding with our circumstances. He made time for us around my busy schedule, getting to know me and my partner, to curate the perfect script for our wedding ceremony. He had the script to me and no time, I think it was even the same day as our meeting! As picky as I am, I had no changes that I wanted to make it. It was just perfect. And thankfully, it took no effort on my end, other than having a brief and enjoyable conversation with him, letting him know what we were looking for, what was important to us and who we are as a couple. John showed up exactly when he said he would. I would highly recommend. -

Working with John was an amazing experience! Not only did he officiate our wedding, but my husband and I also worked closely with him for our pre-marital counseling and I know that is something we will cherish for the rest of our lives. John is very friendly, experienced, helpful, and you can really tell he cares about the couples he works with and their stories and is fully supportive of each and every one.
He crafted a beautiful script for our ceremony that factored in all of the qualities we had discussed with him, including some humor which our guests loved.
During the wedding planning process, I lost my dad to cancer. We knew this would be coming at some point but were unsure when so we planned a small elopement ahead of our big wedding so my dad could be there. John was so kind during this process and offered to officiate our elopement free of charge as he'd also officiate our big wedding.
It was always a fun time connecting with John for pre-marital counseling and discussing ceremony details. All of this to say, I highly recommend working with John for your wedding - he's the best! -

Truly best day ever
John is everything one would ever want in an officiant. He is very professional and personable. Took the time to get to know us as a couple and learned our background to orchestra a beautiful story or our lives. Wedding Day
John Candler officiated our wedding on June 18th, 2024 in Olympic National Park, WA. Our experience with him has been nothing less than outstanding. He got to know us as a couple, shared in our happiness, and crafted a personalized ceremony that fit both bride and groom. Our ceremony was light-hearted, funny and made our guests chuckle a few times. Everything went as great as it could have. Our names were pronounced correctly (and our dogs names were right too)! He included the elements of faith that we requested but was open to other versions depending on our values as a couple. Personable, friendly, and calming in the midst of hectic wedding planning. -

Wow! John's your new friend you haven't met yet! John was so helpful and efficient from the moment we sent him an enquiry. John was not only quick to respond to emails and phone calls, but also so friendly and easy to get along with. My husband and I eloped with only John, a photographer, and a videographer, so it was really important that we had an awesome team supporting us for our big day. John was really flexible with organising phone calls (we were living on the other side of the world with a huge time difference). We were married on a trail at Mount Rainier, and despite the snow, John was there with a huge smile on his face! John wrote a beautiful ceremony script, and when we were feeling a little stuck where to start with our personal vows, he facetimed us straight away and provided us some warm and friendly advice. We consider John a great friend of ours, and it's felt like that since the first call! Highly recommend :) -

John was stellar throughout the entire process. He knows exactly the questions to ask during the first meeting to create a wonderful script for your ceremony. He was communicative, personable, and easy to get ahold of at all times. He did everything he said he would do promptly.
On the wedding day, John showed up exactly when he said he would. He took care of everything in his realm without issue which made our day so much easier for us.
The ceremony went off without a hitch and we had many guests compliment how great of a job he did. John was super quick to send in the license and communicate the details to us.
Highly recommend John to anyone needing an officiant! -

John Candler was more than just an AMAZING officiant for our wedding- he made our special day even more special and memorable. He took the time to get to know us as a couple and crafted a ceremony that perfectly captured our love story. We were unsure of what vows we wanted and he was able to give us 8 options right off the bat! Vows were actually something we were stressing about, so just being able to guide us through how to craft the ceremony was incredible. He was an absolute professional! On the big day, he delivered the ceremony flawlessly, keeping the mood light and joyful. John was an invaluable person to work with, and we couldn't have asked for a better officiant for our ceremony. After the ceremony, John helped us with our marriage license and made the entire process run so smooth and efficiently. We would recommend him to anyone getting married in the PNW. -

My husband and I were so thankful that John was recommended to us!
We were able to tell him our story, as crazy as it was, and he heard it beautifully into our ceremony. Nothing but amazing things to say about John- we really did have the best day ever!!! John officiated my friend’s wedding a few years before ours and when it came time to plan ours, I was still thinking about how great her ceremony was and she highly recommended him. John was a joy to work with every step of the way. From the first Zoom call getting to know us, giving us vow options (we wanted a play on traditional vows), helping us craft a ceremony script (that made me cry happy tears every time I read through it), to the wedding day! Fun and Professional Wedding Officiant
John was amazing to work with starting on day one! He really helped my wife and I navigate and plan our ceremony while also listening to all of our wants and ideas. Additionally, John was always so quick to respond and jump on a call if needed which is such a valuable thing while trying tot plan a wedding. After our ceremony, many of our family and friends even asked who our officiant was due to him doing such a great job! Finally, I would highly recommend John to anyone who is looking for a fun yet professional officiant. -
