The Best Day Ever Officiant was amazing!! John made our day so special. The ceremony was so personal and intimate. He took the time to get to know us before our wedding day and really listened to all we had to say and used that info to make our ceremony incredibly personal. I'm a wedding photographer, and I've been to a LOT of weddings in the past decade, but John is among the very best officiants. We eloped, and he was the perfect choice to make our day awesome. He even arrived early to scope the area out and found the best spot for us. He cares not just for the wedding day, but genuinely invests in his clients. We clicked with him the first time we met over the phone, and really feel like he fit right into our day perfectly. We didn't just get an officiant. We got a friend. If you haven't booked him yet, do it now! You won't regret it. -

BOOK JOHN NOW! Do not hesitate! He is an incredibly wonderful person and the best officiant! John had been an officiant at our friends wedding previously and he truly was unforgettable. His kindness, genuineness, and poise were absolutely perfect. My husband and I met with John via zoom prior to the wedding and it felt like we had known him for years. He’s easy to talk to, get along with, and understands exactly what you’re looking for! Our ceremony was so smooth - (our guests thought he was a long time friends of ours) he was that good!

John was excellent. He was easy to communicate with and did the ceremony exactly the way we wanted! He even ran out of the shot IMMEDIATELY when he said you may kiss the bride so we got great photos. From our very first video call (just one hour!), he somehow managed to truly get us: our story, our personalities, and the heart of our relationship. The ceremony he crafted felt like it came from someone who had known us for years.

What a charming man.
Wowza, John was a genuine kind soul right from the beginning. From an introduction meeting, planning, to the day of. He worked with us on every piece of the script. I am so please that we hired John as our officiant. He was very consistent with reaching out to us, even in the busy times he was patient and understanding with our circumstances. He made time for us around my busy schedule, getting to know me and my partner, to curate the perfect script for our wedding ceremony. He had the script to me and no time, I think it was even the same day as our meeting! As picky as I am, I had no changes that I wanted to make it. It was just perfect. My wife and I were seriously BLOWN AWAY by how amazing John was.
Not only did he meet with us beforehand to discuss the wedding, but he got to know us personally to create a beautiful and memorable ceremony that was personalized to us! He was friendly and enthusiastic about our wedding as well as us as a couple.

John was amazing! We had the best experience. We hired John about 6 months before our wedding. He scheduled a call before to understand what we were looking for, and we hired him on the spot after the call! He was extremely responsive, kind and respectful of what we hoped our ceremony to be. I always thought it a bit strange to have a stranger marry you, but John really felt like a friend in the process and day of. Once we discussed our wishes and details, he created a custom ceremony script for us. We then had many opportunities to update it. I am glad he was so on top of it, and it was great to get that started to avoid last minute rushing. He was so easy going and flexible - just the best experience. Friends asked if we knew him as that's how seamlessly he fit into the wedding. I would highly recommend John! -

Caring, Experienced, Kind, Helpful!
Working with John was an amazing experience! Not only did he officiate our wedding, but my husband and I also worked closely with him for our pre-marital counseling and I know that is something we will cherish for the rest of our lives. John is very friendly, experienced, helpful, and you can really tell he cares about the couples he works with and their stories and is fully supportive of each and every one.
He crafted a beautiful script for our ceremony that factored in all of the qualities we had discussed with him, including some humor which our guests loved.
During the wedding planning process, I lost my dad to cancer. We knew this would be coming at some point but were unsure when so we planned a small elopement ahead of our big wedding so my dad could be there. John was so kind during this process and offered to officiate our elopement free of charge as he'd also officiate our big wedding.
It was always a fun time connecting with John for pre-marital counseling and discussing ceremony details. All of this to say, I highly recommend working with John for your wedding - he's the best! -

Wow! John's your new friend you haven't met yet! John was so helpful and efficient from the moment we sent him an enquiry. John was not only quick to respond to emails and phone calls, but also so friendly and easy to get along with. My husband and I eloped with only John, a photographer, and a videographer, so it was really important that we had an awesome team supporting us for our big day. John was really flexible with organising phone calls (we were living on the other side of the world with a huge time difference). We were married on a trail at Mount Rainier, and despite the snow, John was there with a huge smile on his face! John wrote a beautiful ceremony script, and when we were feeling a little stuck where to start with our personal vows, he facetimed us straight away and provided us some warm and friendly advice. John was the absolute best officiant. We had an initial call where he asked us all about our relationship, engagement, etc. and it really felt like he was listening to us. We loved that he was so into music and “nerdy stuff” - we felt like we could relate to him. He then sent us an outline of the script and, closer to the big day, the script itself. The ceremony went perfectly, and his script was really amazing - he really captured our relationship and us as a couple. All of our guests raved about how great he was afterwards. Nothing but amazing things to say about John- we really did have the best day ever!!! John officiated my friend’s wedding a few years before ours and when it came time to plan ours, I was still thinking about how great her ceremony was and she highly recommended him. We are so grateful for our experience with John. Working with him was incredibly easy, fun, and calm. Our wedding day was the first day of meeting him in person although we did have quite a few conversations beforehand. However, you would've never guessed that this was our first time meeting as we felt that we had a beautiful connection with him. We had several friends mention how wonderful the length, the words, and experience the ceremony was. We give all the credit to John. He did a wonderful job guiding us, making. suggestions, and being our "yes" person.

Fun and Professional Wedding Officiant
John was amazing to work with starting on day one! He really helped my wife and I navigate and plan our ceremony while also listening to all of our wants and ideas. Spectacular officiant
He made our ceremony so perfectly catered to us as a couple and our story. We loved the little last minute details he put in there after finding out we were pregnant. John was such an amazingly caring and attentive officiant. I am from Washington but my husband and I currently live in Colorado. John was so patient with us and scheduled online meetings with us to get our ceremony planned out. Despite being no stranger to the issues that can occur when logistics aren’t planned face to face, meeting up with John on our wedding day was so easy and everything went so smoothly. He also did a wonderful job making sure our paperwork was in order and he was extraordinarily responsive to questions the entire process. Our families also hail from two different religious backgrounds, Orthodox and Lutheran, and John did a great job making sure our ceremony suited both sides of the family and our combined backgrounds. I would definitely recommend John as a wonderful officiant to those looking to get married! -

John is an incredible officiate. He is extremely easygoing and one of the finest people persons I have ever met. He has mastered the art of officiating weddings and is a pleasure to work with. John took the time to get to know us, asked all the right questions, and designed a memorable and lovely ceremony for us. He does exactly what he says he will do and does those things exceeding well. If any of my siblings were to get married I would wholeheartedly recommend John.
We had been engaged for about a year when some our my wife's best friends were coming into town from Hawaii. We decided that there was no better time to start our time together as husband and wife. The only problem was that there were coming to Washington in one week! I did the research assesing over a dozen officiates and interviewed a handful before calling John. From the moment he answered the phone I knew he was better then the rest. He was able to accommodate our insainly tight timeline. He worked with us during the week to craft a beautiful ceremony. Where do we even begin? If we're being honest, we didn't think we needed to be too picky when choosing an officiant until we began to chat with different ones and realized how different each one was. We didn't know exactly what we wanted in an officiant until we had our phone call with John. Similar to how we found our rings and the wedding dress at the store, we somehow just knew John was who we wanted while we were chatting. Even though we never met in person until our wedding day, it didn't feel like a stranger was officiating our wedding, instead it felt like an old friend. -

Seriously, best day ever.
Upon meeting John over zoom, my wife and I immediately knew we wanted him to officiate our wedding. John is someone that you can trust immediately. He's so genuine and easy to get along with. His personality is incredibly suited for being an officiant. Despite just recently having a newborn child, John took the time out of his busy life to marry us, and that meant the world. He showed up early, he engaged the crowd, he performed the ceremony flawlessly, and he wasn't rigid or boring. Amazing ceremony!
We planned our wedding in less than 2 weeks. We were thrilled to find John and hear that he was available on such a short notice. We're Christians and we really cared about having our wedding officiated by a Christian officiant, so John definitely came as a blessing to us.
John scheduled an hour-long call with us and asked about our story and many other details about us as a couple. We were amazed by how he truly listened to us and captured the most important parts of everything we told him.
After our call, he shared a document with us detailing how the ceremony would proceed. It was personalized to us, and highlighted the important moments of our journey together. We didn't ask him to change anything - it was perfect.
The ceremony itself went exactly as described in the document. John is super energetic and upbeat and gave our guests and us an unforgettable wedding. His words and his delivery were beautiful and he gave us what we most hoped for: connection to each other as we stood on the altar.
We couldn't have hoped for anything more special and highly recommend John as a wedding officiant. -

Positive, helpful, and accommodating!
John was incredibly personable and planning our ceremony with him over video felt immediately comfortable. He was flexible, willing to hike up a muddy mountain with us and braved pouring rain in 40 degree weather with a huge smile on his face the entire time.! He wasn't just willing to officiate, he went above and beyond to make our day as special and as comfortable for us as possible. For example, when he saw me picking out twigs and leaves from my dress, he quickly jumped in to help without even being asked -- super sweet of him! John easily accommodated our radically different perspectives on faith and was able to craft a ceremony that was authentic to both of us. Had the best day ever with John officiating!
We feel so lucky to have found John (Best Day Ever Officiant) to officiate our wedding. We met with a couple officiants virtually, but we immediately clicked with John and were drawn in by his kindness, funny jokes, and genuine passion for what he does. He was communicative the whole time and not only did he give the sweetest personalized speech for our ceremony, he did so freezing in the pouring rain. My husband and I flew to Washington from Nevada to get married. We only had one zoom meeting with John and then didn't actually meet him until our wedding. After the wedding the number one question was, 'is the officiant a friend of yours?' He was able to personalize our ceremony and make it special and unique for us to the point that everyone thought we were long time friends! We had a few hiccups that day and I'm thankful that John was able to keep the happiness and humor in our day which is exactly what we wanted and needed. John was an amazing officiant! We are so happy that we decided to go with him for our wedding. John is so personable and responsive. He really takes an interest in the couples that he marries. We booked him in the beginning of 2020 and had a FaceTime meeting with him where we got to know each other and discussed our relationship so that the ceremony he prepared would have personal touches throughout. We had to postpone from November 2020 to November 2021 and John made the process so effortless. We loved that John truly seemed to love marrying us. John was also very knowledgeable about the wedding license process and takes care of everything after the ceremony so that you don't have to worry about it. Best Officiant Ever!
My now wife and I got engaged in late December of 2019, and immediately went into wedding planning. After a couple of referred officiants either fell through or weren't a great match, we turned to The Knot. That is where we came across amazing reviews about John. We reached out to John and scheduled an hour Zoom meeting to get to know each other. After talking with John for ten minutes or less, we knew he was the perfect fit to officiate our wedding. He was thoughtful, diligent, compassionate, and had a true curiosity about our love. Our initial wedding date was supposed to be 8/29/2020; however, we all know what hit in March of 2020. John worked with us through not one, but two postponements and finally officiated our wedding on 11/05/2021! John tailored the ceremony to meet religious aspects, while still focusing on the story of us. John did such an amazing job detailing our love, that after the ceremony we had people asking how he was related to us. We couldn't have dreamed of a better officiant! -

We found John on TheKnott and he did not disappoint! From the moment we exchanged messages he was so fun and relatable to talk to which made it easy for him to get to know us as a couple for the ceremony. Leading up to the big day I emailed him a handful of times with questions and concerns and he responded quickly! For our ceremony, we wrote our own vows. I didn't want to read mine out loud because I'm a messy cry baby to the point where I knew I wouldn't be able to finish my vows so I asked John to read them for me. John not only got my voice across but it sounded so organic. He was friendly and full of smiles throughout the ceremony. John was hands down the best ever to work with! Months out from our wedding he spent quality time getting to know us (via Skype calls) with thoughtful questions and listened to our personal story. John turned out to be one of the highlights of our wedding elopement. I realize this may sound overstated but I just didn't know how much he would add to our day. To be honest, hiring an officiant was the last thing on my agenda... Not that it isn't important because it totally is (it ALL is!🤪 Am I right? 😭😤😬) It's just that the flowers and the dress and locking down a location are FUN (and a lil stressful) and that stuff gets your immediate attention. I was willing to hire the first guy I liked even a little and I'm just so lucky that guy was John. My fiancé and I both genuinely like him as a person and feel what he gave us that day really felt intimate and special. He was great during the whole process and so flexible. He hiked with us to our ceremony location holding all my stuff and he even picked up my flowers on his way from Tacoma to Mt. Rainier. He changed our date when we hit a snag, without hesitation. He did all of this and so much more without charging "extra". In our video, it sounds like he's known us for years and honestly, we feel like he has. I found him because there was some online coupon and I wouldn't even use it because he went so above and beyond. We were truly so lucky to have hired him.
There was only one other person who I called before him... In their VM back to me, they went on and on about how they were going to handle our wedding without even talking to us. That person didn't even get a call back... but from the beginning, John was more interested in what we thought WE wanted from him and then he brought his expertise to that. I hope everyone who's getting married gets to have as great of an experience as we did. I honestly believe that if it rained or had I worn a different dress, it wouldn't have mattered if the ceremony (done with John) was the same. As a bride, you tend to think some things are crucial and you see afterwards they weren't. Your ceremony is something you'll remember... I highly recommend John Candor from Best Day Ever . -

Actually our best day ever!!
John is so amazing! He took the time to chat with us and personalized the speech with our background and love story. The whole process was so easy with very clear explanations of the ceremony flow. Definitely a plus for couples like us who don't know much! John was very punctual and took care of our marriage certificate as well. John is such an amazing person and officiant. We were so lucky to have found him. Right from the beginning he gave all of the information we needed up front. There was no guess work. He scheduled a video call with us and was very attentive trying to get to know my (now) husband and me. He was early to our meeting place the day of our wedding... We eloped at sunrise at Mt. Rainier! John has a great sense of humor and we were all laughing the entire time. The ceremony he wrote for us was beautiful ❤️. He really captured our love story. My husband and I could not have imagined anyone else officiating our wedding. John was so kind and easy to talk to from day one. When we spoke over the phone for the first time he listened to what we wanted our ceremony to be like and his suggestions for how it could go were so thoughtful. Even during COVID (we had to postpone our wedding from 2020 to 2021) he was always making sure to follow up with us and stay on top of everything. The vows he suggested to us were just perfect and the way he described my and my husband's relationship was beautiful. It was clear he'd listened to what we said and crafted it into a touching story. John was also full of smiles the whole time he was at the wedding. It was so easy to be up there with him officiating and there were the perfect amount of laughter and tears.

John was very detail orientated from our very first meeting. He took the time to learn about us and our story extensively. Me and my husband just got married this weekend and John was a true highlight of the wedding. To start, this is our third time re-planning our wedding because of Covid. Along the way John has been nothing short of helpful, understanding, and accommodating with all of our changes. He was so thorough and took the time to get to know us witch really showed in the ceremony. Over 15 guests came up to us and asked how we knew him and how long we have been friends with him because he did such an amazing job telling our story. When we got emotional in front of our loved ones he had a handkerchief ready. Then, when the kiss came, he moved out of the way so quickly and swiftly that I did not notice until we got our photos back (sneak peaks) and realized he was not in the shot. His professionalism, attention to detail, true adornment for love, and clear enjoyment speaking publicly is unmatched. When I initially started planning our wedding I reached out to multiple officiant’s, no one was quite like John and I am so grateful that we were able to work together. I would recommend him 10 times over. Once you meet with him for even 5 minutes you will see how awesome he is. I am confident he could work with a traditional bride, or someone like me who may be a less traditional and a bit more progressive. He is genuine through and through, you can’t go wrong! -

John did an amazing job at our wedding! He was able to personalize our wedding ceremony to reflect who we are as a couple. We had our wedding at a winery, and planned a non-denominational ceremony, but I wanted to honor my Filipino culture and our Christian/Catholic values. We collaborated with John to create a beautiful ceremony that mentioned God, reflected our spirituality with bible verses, and included a Filipino veil, cord, coin and unity candle ceremony. He gives you guidance in developing the ceremony script, and is obviously very experienced. During the ceremony, John spoke like an old friend who knew us for years, talking about how we met and everything else we told him about ourselves during our meetings. All of our guests were impressed by John!
He was also super flexible! He stuck with us when we had to move our ceremony to the next year because of COVID. I also made a lot of changes to the ceremony script after our wedding rehearsal the day before the wedding, and he was able to accommodate all my changes flawlessly! He is overall an amazing officiant and person who will truly make your wedding the best day ever!
