Janet Westall is a wonderful officiant!

My husband and I got married at my dad's home in Temecula earlier this year. We hired Janet to officiate our wedding ceremony and could not have asked for a greater and kinder person to guide us. Janet was also present for the wedding rehearsal and gave us great suggestions leading up to the ceremony, including suggestions for our vows. I really loved the unique touches that she brought to this special moment in our lives. We felt completely at ease thanks to her professionalism, preparedness, and graciousness. It was extra special to receive a transcript of our wedding ceremony. You will be very happy if you choose Janet to officiate your wedding!

Worth every penny!

My husband and I first met Janet at our friends wedding four and a half years ago. We knew then that she would be a perfect fit for our own wedding someday and she really was. She is just as amazing then as she is now. Super kind, friendly, and communicative. The thing that we loved the most and many other people at our wedding also complemented her on was her ability to speak very clearly in both Spanish and English. She truly made our wedding ceremony so memorable and special.

Janet was amazing from the moment we had our consultation till the wedding day! The process was enjoyable and seamless. Amazing Janet

We are so blessed we came across Janet Westall when we were looking for an officiant. She brought so much tenderness and loving harmony to our ceremony. Her voice is soft and tenter that made every word she said much more meaningful. She is organized, responsible, puntual, so sweet, and was prepared to make our ceremony so memorable. Family Oriented and Professional!

A wonderful and amazing experience

Our officiant cancelled on us last minute and we were able to book Janet last minute. She was extremely flexible with us and super helpful when it came to doing our wedding in both English and Spanish. I was extremely grateful to have an officiant that was able to perform a beautiful ceremony for us that everyone could enjoy.

The best ceremony I could have ever wished for.

Janet Westall is like an old friend the moment you meet her. She is warm, caring and was so attentive to what we wanted.
My husband and I were married, and then divorced decades ago. But we found our way back to each other. When we decided to remarry, we chose our original wedding date to have the ceremony. It was more like a reconfirmation of our vows. We didn't want to have the big ceremony like we had before, so we decided it would be a surprise wedding. We had just bought a house so we told everyone it was a house warming party. Janet Westall played along so perfectly. I introduced her to people as a friend and she blended right into the party - that is until she announced that we were getting married - again - right then! Everyone was confused, at first, then so surprised and happy for us. We are both of Irish decent and wanted to incorporate an old Irish tradition into our ceremony. We had a basket of stones and everyone chose one, not knowing why. Janet then explained that they were now a part of our marriage and would support us like family. Each person then made a wish for us, pressing it into their stone and then the stones were collected from each of them and sit in an honored spot in our home. I think that some of the most priceless moments of the ceremony was when she would reiterate the "getting married, again" point of the vows. Everyone was laughing and crying tears of joy for us. Janet couldn't have done more - she was perfect.

The best of everything

I had the best time at my ceremony! Janet really knows how to make the best ceremony to be Remembered! She added some things that I asked if it was possible to add and she was so helpful with everything! I am from Mexico and she even added some things to say in Spanish! My husband and I and everyone else loved the ceremony! She is the best and I am so greatfull i really really recommend her! ...... thank you so much Janet 💝

So accommodating!

Janet was great. We threw her for a loop with our wild bunch and plans to take a shot at the ceremony and she handled it well. She was very helpful and informative on how everything was going to go. Always responded very quick to emails. She is so sweet and already knew to get out of the way before our first kiss without me having to ask at rehearsal. We really enjoyed having her.

I was very skeptical we were so last minute with our wedding day. We found Mrs. Westall through the internet, she took our phone call even though she was out of town with her husband.
Mrs Westall met us that same day and after only spending one hour with her I felt like we knew each other for years. She sent us a couple of ceremonies to review they where both perfect but we chose one again the ceremony was perfect so perfect our guest asked if she was a friend or a relative.
She handled everything as a professional but personable as well

Janet was an amazing officiant who formed a relationship with my partner and that felt like
that of an old friend, with the eloquence of a professional officiant. Incredibly organized and provided amazing guidance when designing our ceremony. Flexible (even running through our rehearsal at 9pm at night in two different locations (in case of rain!). So positive , kept us laughing, and really was a calming presence prior to and during our wedding ceremony.

Janet was an incredible force in lead up to and during our wedding. We met with her for planning sessions in advance of the wedding and each step of the way she gave us clear direction and guidance based on her experience. Her style is warm, calming and enthusiastic. On the day of our wedding, she was one of the main reasons our ceremony came together as well as it did and her overall presiding over the ceremony left us feeling like we were in excellent, experienced, professional hands, and we were! Cannot thank Janet enough for helping to make our day so special.

It was clear upon meeting Janet, that she would be the perfect person to perform our wedding. Before meeting her, she was much more pleasant and genuinely excited for us than any other officiant we reached out to in correspondence.

Janet quickly became a new member of the family as she guided us through the planning of our ceremony. She gave excellent feedback on our vows as well as readings, and provided wonderful instruction in what makes for a heartfelt and meaningful vow.

Janet's fun personality, as well as genuine care, quickly made us think of her as our "wedding mom". She made the entire process seamless and we received so many compliments as to how beautiful our ceremony was and how much it reflected our personalities. We were at ease and encouraged throughout the planning, the rehearsal, and the ceremony itself. Janet helped create this atmosphere. She is a wonderful person and we are happy that she was a central role in the most important day of our lives.

My fiance and I were new to the area and had no idea who to use as our wedding officiant. We were a little concerned about picking someone without a personal recommendation. Janet was totally awesome! From our first meeting she set us at ease and helped us through the planning process and development of a ceremony unique to us. It was a very pleasant experience determining our script, readings, vows,, and the step by step process of the ceremony. Flexibility? OMG yes! Janet was phenomenal in her ability to understand and adjust to our adjustments. From any script changes to a significant location change. There is absolutely no possible way I could look back and see our day being anything near as special as it was without Janet's help. I loved Janet from the moment we "Skyped". We were planning a wedding from out of state, so I had to go with my gut. She was fantastic! When I visited before the wedding, she went over every detail and maid me feel extremely comfortable and that she was someone who was truly passionate about her job. She came up with creative ideas and was responsive to my needs. She always responded to my emails in a timely manner and was able to put my mind at ease. The ceremony was beautiful and I would recommend her to family and friends.

Jane was wonderful in all possible aspects! We had an issue with the officiant we hired originally and got Jane's referral very close to our wedding date. She answered immediately, put together a beautiful ceremony for us and even wrote and performed the ceremony in English and Spanish. Very elegant and moving - exactly the right balance for us -

Janet was very warm and committed to making our day special. She coordinated our rehearsal as well and did a great job of wrangling our rambunctious bridal party. At last minute my father and mother were unable to attend the wedding due to illness, and she was very supportive and was able to quickly adjust the ceremony. My husband and I got married in the Callaway Vineyards of Temecula on July 19th, 2014. I like to consider myself as someone who is organized, but for some reason, we found ourselves being about 3 months away from the wedding and we had not hired a celebrant! I was starting to get stressed out about finding someone to officiate our wedding on short notice (it was wedding peak season), so my husband and I decided to go to one of the Temecula Bridal Shows. And we're so glad we did, because we met Janet!! Basically, we were able to see Janet in-action at the mock ceremony (during the bridal show) and we loved her gentle approach and great stage presence (without being overbearing).

One hour later, we had basically hired Janet on the spot & we couldn't be happier with our decision. Janet was very responsive to the amount of questions that we had throughout the process & we also met with her separately to talk through our vision for the ceremony. Janet even gave us ideas on how to write our vows along with ceremony chain of events recommendations. She also attended our wedding rehearsal & this was extremely helpful so that our wedding party knew where to stand/what to do. Finally, she mailed our wedding certificate in a timely manner (so crucial)!

Final comment: Janet is especially great if you are a couple with two different religions, as she will help you customize the ceremony to something that is reflective of both your beliefs and personalities. We would recommend Janet for anyone who is looking for a great celebrant.

I am now based in San Diego but originally from the UK. We had wanted to get maried for some time and decided to make the most of the opportunity of being located in Del Mar, CA. It was quite a spontaneous decision and the arrangements were made in a couple of days. Our expectations of what to expect were fairly low as it wasn't your well planned, traditional wedding day. Fortunately, we found Janet. She met us at the prearranged location in Del Mar at exactly the agreed time, she instantly allayed all our worries and created a real sense of friendliness and sincerity. It was as if we'd known her for ages. I thought we would read a few words, get it out of the way and the deed would have been accomplished. Janet had different ideas and all the words flowed beautifully, our witnesses words were perfect and she managed to turn the proceedings into the occasion it is meant to be. Although, she kept it upbeat and lighthearted, She made me feel every word I spoke had depth and were a true commitment.
My brother and my wife's family were there and we all agreed that Janet played a huge part in creating the amazing atmosphere and sincerity that the day was supposed to hold. Something I'll never forget and will cherish. Thank you.

We were so lucky to have found Janet. When we were first interviewing officiants, we were drawn to Janet's warmth and thoughtfulness. It was one of those "trust your instinct moments" -- because you never really know someone by just meeting them once or twice before your wedding -- but we never had any second thoughts. Janet really wanted to get to know us: she listened to stories about how we met, about our family, and about our dreams for the future. Even on our very first meeting, it just felt like the right fit. My then-fiance (now husband, yay!) and I aren't religious but we do consider ourselves spiritual. We wanted the ceremony to be really meaningful, memorable, a reflection of our values, and a celebration of our love. Thanks to Janet, it was everything we wished for and more. Her words were eloquent, meaningful, personalized, and joyful. Many of our guests said things like, "The party was really great, but your ceremony was our favorite part...it was really special." We chose to read our own vows, and Janet gave just enough direction to help ensure they were perfect. She also brought copies of the vows and the readings on nice paper (so we didn't have to hold our slightly crumpled notebook paper as we read), and was very organized with all of the necessary paperwork to ensure we were officially married. She also helped keep everyone on task at the rehearsal -- a huge feat considering our large 16 person wedding party! I can't say enough wonderful things about Janet. Our wedding is a day we will remember forever, and Janet's words made us all feel so present in the moment and really set the tone for the celebration of love that followed our ceremony -- and also set the tone, so far, for a really happy marriage! I can truly say that the ceremony was my favorite part of the wedding! We are so grateful to have found Janet and we will remember her words and her positive energy probably for the rest of our lives.

I had made a mistake on my part with a time confusion, and she had another wedding to be at I believe 2 hours after mine and things were going to be tight for her, she wasn't mad at all, she said "It will be okay, I will be at both weddings and everything will be perfect!" Janet was an excellent addition to my wedding. She offered premarital counseling and really helped my husband and I discuss some of the potential challenges all couples face but few predict. She happily traveled to Dana Point and preformed a non denominational ceremony for us which fit in perfectly with our beliefs and wishes. Thank you for being a part of our big day almost 6 years ago!

I highly recommend Janet. She was amazing from the moment we met her. She definitely made our day feel so special. She was a lot of fun to work with had are whole bridal party laughing at rehearsal and enjoying themselves. She felt like family.

The BEST officiant

Don't look any further, you have found your officiant! Janet did a great job walking us through the entire process, from writing our own vows to booking a marriage license appointment early enough. She did a great job of making us feel comfortable during what can be a very emotional day. Our ceremony was exactly what we wanted and we received lots of compliments on it from guests.

Exactly what we needed

Janet was incredible. We had some specific needs for how we wanted gender presented and she was incredibly receptive. We also wanted to be respectful of the people we invited who were more religious than we are and we felt that Janet was able to provide a good mixture of reverent and secular. She was quick to reply, showed up early to greet people on the day, and let us know the status of our license soon after. Overall just a great person to work with.

Janet was the officiant for our wedding in Temecula, and she did a wonderful job! I'm based in LA, so we had our initial meeting via Skype, and even through the computer, I could tell she was very warm and enthusiastic about marrying couples! Janet was also very easy to work with; I had a specific script that I wanted to use, and she was happy to perform it, even though it wasn't part of her usual repertoire. She also promptly mailed in our marriage license after our wedding! Thanks, Janet!

She was outstanding, her calmness was so helpful during the initial contacts and wedding itself. She was very attentive to our wants and wishes and incredible respectful. We liked her so much that would like to stay in touch with her.
