Benjamin is a tremendous photographer and an amazing person. The moments he captured on our wedding day have us in awe. He provided such a warm, friendly and safe environment for us to both feel at ease and help us be in the moment. We felt so appreciated and cared for. My daughter got married this summer in Sunriver, OR, and through her own research found Benjamin Edwards, and we all loved his past work. As a photography enthusiast, I can attest to the very high quality photos that Benjamin produces. His work is outright gorgeous, both from an artistic and technical point of view, as well as being able to tell beautiful stories from the wedding day, while evoking strong emotions. When you watch his photos, you can see that he is a true artist, who loves what he does and who will go the extra mile to produce that very special piece of memory. If all you want are photos of the wedding party, family and guests posing, get a more generic photographer. However, if you want photos of this very special day that you would want to admire and cherish over and over for the rest of your life, Benjamin is a great choice. The only dilemma we have now is to choose from the hundreds of fantastic photos for our prints and books!
Benjamin is also a nice and easy person to work with, accommodating while being full of creative ideas. I couldn't recommend Benjamin more! -

We hired Benjamin after going through his photos and deciding he had the moody edge we were looking for. We were having a medieval style wedding and wanted someone with an artistic edge that could bring out our personalities! His package also included engagement photos which is something we wanted as well.
Benjamin was professional, prompt, and incredibly personable. My husband and I are not very social people, and we were more than comfortable with his interactions with us and our family! Our wedding photo shoots were some of our most memorable and magical experiences during our wedding time! We could not have asked for a better photographer for our unique and special day. We loved Benjamins creative imagination, hilarious personality, and even felt we had made a very special friend! Both my husband and I still talk about how wonderful he is, and it's been almost three months since we were married! If you want gorgeous, magical and unique photos, Benjamin Edwards will deliver. Thank you Benjamin for capturing our amazing memories! -

We cannot say enough good things about Ben; having him for our wedding photographer was SUCH a gift! We postponed our wedding 3x due to covid, and Ben was kind, gracious, and accommodating throughout. On the actual day of the wedding he put both of us at ease immediately. He captured our day so organically, and with such an incredible and artistic eye. From the big group photos to intimate moments just the two of us, he guided us just enough to capture the best image, but really let us just be ourselves. In doing so, he captured our day so authentically and beautifully. All of our family and friends have been raving about our wedding photos, and we couldn't agree more - they are perfect! Incredible pictures!
Benjamin was such a professional! We could not be more happy he was there on our special day, capturing all the little moments and details, during our wedding adventure on Broken Top; at No Name Lake.
He did such a spectacular job with the photos he captured - he did exactly as we had discussed and because of that we will have the most beautifully, timeless pictures to share with all of our friends and family. Brilliant & Dreamy
If I could give 10 stars I would! Having Ben by my side on my wedding day was a blessing. He has a calming presence, he’s intentional yet fun, ... all the things! I tend to be awkward in front of a camera so I really appreciated his artistic direction. He also encouraged us to be ourselves and trust the creative outcome. That said, our photos are incredible! The light seems to bend for Ben in ways it doesn’t for anyone else! You simply will not find a better person & photographer than Ben Edwards. He will always hold a special play in my heart.
PS: My husband loves our photos captured via the drone. We had a beach wedding in October. We climbed rocks, we got wet, and we loved every moment!

He was able to fit us in and recommended some awesome locations to do the shoot. So we got married during a pandemic. If that is not enough of a challenge, try throwing in ever-changing venues, timelines, etc., but Benjamin and his crew were true pros and made our wedding day photography relaxing and fun.
I am usually behind a camera shooting photos of other people, so being in front of the camera is not exactly a comfortable place for me to be. I have very few photos of me as a result, and certainly, not many that I love. Upon interviewing Benjamin for our wedding photography, I told him that all I wanted was one good photo of my new husband and I. Just one. He assured me we'd have plenty and, wow, did we! And, as an older bride, I am thrilled with his craftsmanship and energy in capturing our day.
Our favorite moment, which was unexpected, was him shooting us with a drone, lying down in a meadow. It was perhaps the most peaceful and tranquil minutes my soon-to-be husband and I had spent together in the weeks leading up to the wedding. We didn't expect the drone so it was a huge bonus to get an amazing aerial shot.
We loved it, too, that Benjamin led us on a hike through the woods to some of our favorite spots. I believe we ended up hiking close to two miles - dress and heels and all. It was amazing and incredibly rewarding. If I had to do it all over again, I'd book multiple sessions or extended hours to really get some of the more creative shots. He is so creative - I suggest letting him do his thing and just go for it. It's just a dress and shoes - the dirt is an amazing memory of our experience and I doubt I'll clean them! I appreciate that he was game for whatever we wanted to do yet also captured some of the traditional photos that everyone needs - family shots, group photos, venue photos, etc.
In summary, you can't go wrong with Benjamin Edwards. I researched countless photographers and am incredibly thankful I found him.

If you are considering hiring Ben as your photographer, for any reason, stop considering and get the process rolling! You won’t regret it!
I have felt really unphotogenic in the past. It was something I was definitely worried about for my wedding photos, but I didn’t need to because I look as beautiful as I feel in all of my engagement and wedding photos —which is a priceless feeling! Ben is so wonderful to work with and he has such an eye for light, which makes your photos feel like art. He doesn’t just capture an image but a slice of life, a full moment. It’s hard to explain but when you see examples of his work you will totally understand! Worth every penny and such an enjoyable experience. You won’t regret it, and I couldn’t recommend him more :) -

Benjamin captured every moment in the most beautiful way that we will cherish for a lifetime. He is a master of lighting and knowing the right angle to make everyone look stunning. We were extremely pleased with how responsive he was and incredibly easy to work with by instructing us on where to stand and what to do. His calm demeanor helped to easy any nervous awkwardness and enabled us to not only enjoy the day but each other. Our guests also could not stop talking about his professionalism. When we were looking for wedding Photographers, we wanted someone who had vision, who could display our love to the world better then anyone else. And that is EXACLTY what we got from Benjamin and Parker. We loved his work so much so, that we booked him being a state away knowing we would incur additional travel fees. We did not care as his work spoke for itself! Not only is he amazingly talented, but he made us feel like so comfortable, and it felt like we had been friends for a long time. It made the whole day so easy. The overall experience of having Benjamin as our wedding Photographer is more then we can put into words, but simply put it was beyond perfection.
We spent last night looking through our photos for the first time. I cried, because it was like reliving the day all over again. The emotion, the love, the silliness, and the fun that we felt, it was all right there.
Hands down the best money spent for our big day. We plan to continue to use Benjamin for any and all of our photo needs tell the end of time! So much love and Thanks to you! -

The photos & experience was 10x better than I could have ever imagined!
If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Benjamin and Parker were a joy to work with - it seemed like we had been friends for years. His photos will undoubtedly be the difference between us having fond memories of our wedding to having the most epic story tale to share with our friends and family. They knew exactly where to be and when. Since we eloped, our friends and a lot of family were not there, but through Benjamin's lens they got the experience of the entire adventure.
He was professional, and made me feel like a princess - regardless that my hair was sopping wet from snow and makeup was long gone. He did a great job 'coaching' us for posed shots that look so artistic, and I am blown away by how great his candid shots are. It was a prompt-to elopement, but the photos look like we had been planning the details for months.
We wanted to capture the raw beauty and love that was shared that day and Benjamin went way above and beyond our expectations. Thank you! Will recommend time and time again. -

Benjamin was such a joy to work with! We had a destination wedding so we planned over a year ahead of time. He always got back to me in a timely manner (which can be stressful for an out of state bride!) and even provided a detailed survey to get to know us as a couple, along with our wedding style. During our wedding, he provided humor, made us so comfortable in all the photos, stayed super organized with a list of photos we wanted, and of course they all turned out beautifully! An Open Letter of Recommendation,

With bated breath,
Tim and I sat side by side last night.
Alone in our home, we opened his email
accessing our Engagement Session Photos.
Slowly, we began to click. One by one,
his images moved us.
.
Nothing can prepare someone for the unexpected wave of self-criticism that inevitably comes with viewing so many still shots of ones self. No amount of confidence makes anyone immune to immediately seeing flaws, least of all us.
.
And yet, his work gently shifted our focus, and quieted all fears. Framing the context of the occasion, capturing the very spirit of our partnership, he SEES us, and his ability to interpret us in photo was inspiring.
.
I wish for a moment, the world could see and hear the speechless gasps of wonder and aw from those around us. He is likely no stranger to accolades, but to work with him would effortlessly suggest otherwise. His genuine connection and heart for people is palpable and contagious. His humility holds space for ease and creativity, and we can't help but fall in love...all over again.

Wrapping up the shoot, squeezing a hug out of him, he reluctantly teased how badly you smelled...after nearly laying down in the mud for the perfect shot. I say, "Sheer perfection! Would not recommend for weddings
Benjamin Edwards is a very talented photographer with beautiful photos on his Instagram account and website to prove it. As a wedding photographer my husband and I have mixed reviews. Originally Benjamin was recommended to us by a wedding planner in the Bend/Eugene OR area. He was very responsive, kind, asked many questions, and even offered to meet in person to get to know us better, which shows that he loves what he does. Just by the first phone conversation and the fact that he has many, many years of experience we felt very confident in our decision to hire him as our wedding photographer. The wedding package we purchased included the exact time we needed, the number of pictures we expected (and even more than we expected), a $125 credit to use towards an album later on, as well as a “photographer’s assistant”, to help capture as many photos on this important day as possible. On the wedding day Benjamin was punctual, very kind, very professional and easy to work with. Things we didn’t know until the day of were things such as; the photographer’s assistant was only 17 years old who unfortunately made multiple photography mistakes (which I will explain later), although the main photographer has many, many years of photography experience in general, a bridesmaid asked him how many weddings he’s done and he explained to her that he actually has only done a handful of wedding photography sessions in his career, which was not told to the bride and groom themselves at the time of hire. The wedding day itself went very smoothly, and as any bride and groom can imagine, very quickly. Therefore, there were no concerns from our end that stood out until we received the finished album online.
Later after we received the link to look at our wedding photos, we noticed there was not, as some would describe, a classic portrait-like bride and groom photo. To explain in more detail, a photo of just the bride and groom alone, standing together, both looking at the camera at the same time and smiling together. The closest picture we had was both of us looking in the general direction of the camera, but the bride was instructed not to smile and to have a more serious look on her face, whereas only the groom is smiling and looking off into the distance. Every other photo of the bride and groom were candid. To be clear, we got SO many compliments on our other bride and groom photos, and they are absolutely beautiful and elegant. I asked Benjamin to take another look in his gallery to see if he had the photo I wanted and described, just in case and he very kindly and quickly did take another look. Unfortunately the photo was not captured, but Benjamin kindly offered to double our $125 credit amount to $250 to make up for this lack of bride and groom portrait photo. Although this offer was very kind, after taking another look at his website, the absolutely cheapest album cost was $450, therefore we still would have to pay a large amount of money to purchase an album through him. I then had to specifically ask to have a different photo cropped and edited, so it looked like we had that bride and groom portrait photo, which Benjamin did and it came out great and looked exactly like what I had wanted originally. However, the bride and groom portrait photo not getting captured was not the only mistake found in our wedding pictures. The day of the wedding, the bridal party was split between bridesmaids and groomsmen to take separate group photos, Benjamin took the photos of the bridesmaids, and the 17 year old assistant took the photos of the groomsmen. My husband later told me that his photo session with his groomsmen was “messy” and “rushed.” After seeing the photos later on, we realized there was not one single photo of the groom with his groomsmen where every single face was visual. In every photo at least one face is hidden or blocked by another person. Benjamin then offered to edit one of those photos as well, however, it was just too obvious that the photo had been edited, copying and pasting one of the groomsmen in an empty space, and it just did not work (I will attach that photo in this review). Another photo we did not successfully receive was a close up of our wedding rings. The photo captured was unfortunately only a side view of the rings, where you cannot see any detail or beauty especially of the engagement ring. Benjamin responded with an offer of retaking this photo for us, if we were to make a trip out to Central Oregon. However, my husband and I are in the Seattle, WA area and it would not be worth the trip (About six hours). A separate but rather large mistake made was the photo of the framed pictures of our passed loved ones, as many wedding couples display at their weddings. We had four photos, three photos of grandparents and one of a passed military friend of my husband’s. The photographer’s assistant took this photo and unfortunately did not capture every framed photo in the shot. The photo of my husband’s passed military friend was halfway blocked out by the frame next to it. The photo is also taken from very far away, and you can hardly see any of the photos at all. We found this to be very frustrating and borderline disrespectful. Benjamin reassured us that he spoke with his assistant and explained a table honoring loved ones is of great importance and should be captured appropriately. He offered to pay for shipping costs if we were to mail him these same photos so he could capture a better photo of them all together.
Overall, my husband and I were a little disappointed with the result of our wedding photos, just because of the multiple mistakes and important photos not captured from our experience. The photos we received that we did like were beautiful and we received many compliments. Benjamin made more than one offer to try and accommodate, but we declined because of the travel time, cost, and mailing out pictures was more than a hassle to us than it was worth, and those pictures not being captured in the moment just wouldn’t quite be the same being duplicated in some other way, although we appreciated the offer. Given the number of mistakes we found and degree of our unexpected results, we asked for either a 10% refund or the smallest album size free of charge (which was 80 pages). Benjamin responded by explaining the difference between a “mistake” and “expectations”, specifically that the pictures his assistant took (the groomsmen and passed loved ones frames) were mistakes and the other photos he took himself that we either missed or weren’t pleased with (the bride and groom portrait not getting captured and the side view of our rings) were artistic, and our own expectation; essentially it was our responsibility to explain to him beforehand. He then explained that he felt an 80 page album was not appropriate. He offered a 20 page boutique album free of charge, which we accepted. We were able to choose our own photos, however it was incredibly difficult to be able to choose only 20 photos from an entire day’s worth of photos, especially a day as important as a wedding day. The final result of the boutique album came in and included all of the pictures we chose.
His skill as a photographer is clear and obvious. However, for those looking for a wedding photographer specifically, I would recommend looking for more clear and concise communication from the photographer, about their expectations and yours as well, following up the week of the wedding to go over details. I would also recommend hiring a photographer with more experience in weddings, and not just number of years of experience alone.
