My hair and makeup were SOO good. Amy helped me through the whole morning and honestly hiring her was one of the best things I did for my wedding. She’s so kind and just such a warm person.

My mom gifted me hair and makeup by Amy for our intimate elopement and I couldn’t be more grateful. Amy is responsive kind and so amazing at what she does! The morning was stress free and so enjoyable my hair and makeup held up all day and it was perfect!! Everything I asked for and more. Absolutely incredible!
Choosing Amy to do my hair and makeup was one of the best decisions I made for my wedding! I have never felt so beautiful. It was an early morning, starting at 5am, and Amy was on time and ready to get started. She also finished perfectly on time so there was no stress for us at all. She did hair and/or makeup for 4 of us and everyone looked stunning. She was so nice and sweet and really made everyone feel comfortable. The pricing was also super reasonable. (I will add better pictures once I get them from the photographer) 10/10!!! -

My fiancé and I had to travel just before the wedding and couldn’t make the trial!!
But I trusted Amy’s professionalism and honestly, was rewarded for it.
She is crazy skilled! Her hair lasted me 3 days afterwards and the makeup at the end of the night looked like it did right after she got done. Witchcraft sheesh! ayeee
Plus she is an amazing, calm, beautiful person and gave me the calm I needed for the day. 🥹💛
Id book her again in a heartbeat!

Amy made me feel like a million bucks in my wedding day! I’ve never had my hair and makeup professionally done, and I was blown away by Amy’s talents. She followed my preferences perfectly and was very receptive to the small notes I had from my trial. It was so nice to just sit back and relax during the getting ready portion of my wedding! And she made my mom feel so beautiful with her hair and makeup 😭❤️ I’m usually pretty insecure because of my acne, but she didn’t bat an eye at my skin texture and handled it perfectly. When she was done, all I had to do was smile and I knew I’d look amazing in photos. Such a blessing on my wedding day. Amy is the best value in CLT, do NOT hesitate to book her! -

I was a bit nervous since I’d never had anyone else do my makeup before, but Amy made it feel effortless. She was so easy to work with and genuinely cared about making sure I was both happy with the look and comfortable throughout the process. Out of all the responses for our wedding, Amy stood out immediately and her prices were fair. She helped us stick to our budget and her communication leading up to the wedding was clear and quick. Amy did my hair and make up for the rehearsal dinner and it looked phenomenal! She listened to exactly what I wanted and didn’t make me look like I had too much product on my face. On our wedding day, Amy and Nikki were on time for arrival and finished everyone ahead of schedule. Everyone loved their hair and make up and my curls stayed intact the whole night plus the entire next day. I love Amy and will 100% but her again and recommend her for any event you have! -

The Best in the Business
Working with Amy was so seamless she was professional and made me and my bridesmaids look natural and amazing. From the start she explained her services and the process. I truly felt like I never had and concerns or questions as she was always on top of it and explained everything in detail. Her pricing worked with our budget and she was always quick to make any changes that I had for what we needed. I ended up having her do my hair and makeup for two of our events during our wedding weekend. They were two completely different looks and she rocked both of them. It was such a pleasure to work with her and Nikki on our wedding day. They are true professionals that know what they are doing both with their art and with handling their business needs. I am so thankful for them and it shows in all our wedding pictures we look beautiful and flawless. -

Amy and her assistant were ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! She was so easy to get ahold of if I had any questions, had a fantastic prep sheet to follow to make sure my moms and bridesmaids and I looked our best, AND was incredibly professional. Girl knows her stuff!!! I can not recommend her more!! As said, if you’re still on the hunt for someone to make sure you look your best on your best, look no further. -

I had a great experience working with Amy Castro for my wedding hair and makeup! I’m not very savvy with hair and makeup, but Amy’s experience and expertise made me feel comfortable with using her for my wedding day. I showed her photos of what I wanted and Amy absolutely nailed it! My hair and makeup looked beautiful for my wedding day. Amy was able to achieve the soft, natural look that I was going for, and she and her assistant even had my bridal party and me done a bit early! I felt confident and glamorous and was able to enjoy my wedding day without worrying about my appearance. I recommend using Amy Castro HMUA for your wedding hair and makeup if you want a beautiful outcome at a reasonable price with a sweet, professional hair & makeup artist! -

Absolutely amazing!
Amy is the absolute sweetest person ever! She’s extremely professional and even more talented! Her assistant Niki is also wonderful! She made my daughter’s wedding party the most beautiful girls around, which was hard to do since they are all already so stunning! My daughter’s hair and makeup was flawless and she looked like a dream for her wedding! I would use Amy’s services anytime! I only wish I had a fraction of the talent she has! Make her some coffee and you’re golden! She travels to you with all the equipment and makes the day absolutely seem less! 100/10 recommend using her for any special occasion or bridal party makeup! -

Highly recommended!
Amy was so wonderful!! One of my big reasons for picking her is she actually had pictures of POC in her portfolio, which for some reason a lot of HMU artists don’t. I loved knowing she would be able to work with my skin tone. She absolutely hit it out of the park with all of our HMU the day of! She’s a perfectionist and her quality of work shows it!
She also speaks Spanish, which was incredibly helpful for my mom who only speaks Spanish.
Her pricing was great as well! Highly recommend her! -

I do not even know how to put into words how thankful I am for Amy Castro. You are supposed to feel the most beautiful on your wedding day and she made that possible! From the start, Amy was easy to work with, informative, and flexible. I showed her what I had in mind and she well surpassed what I could even imagine! Let me save you some time, you will not be able to find anyone as good as her for her price. I really think you just won't! On the day of, she made the day so fun and everyone loved her! Even when the day nearly got ruined by rain (Yes...I did cry and she had to fix my face), she was a fierce advocate, calm, and everything that I needed while in a panic! Amy was amazing to work with! Due to COVID we had to reschedule our wedding and she was extremely accommodating to work with for our new date. On my way to my hair and makeup trial, I had an emergency and needed to reschedule and she was extremely understanding and easy to work with to reschedule. She did my trial perfectly and I loved it so much, I asked her to do my hair and makeup for the rehearsal dinner as well! I received so many compliments at the rehearsal dinner and she truly made me glow! For the wedding day, she arrived on time with her assistant and stayed on schedule for myself, 8 bridesmaids, and my mother/mother-in law. Prior to the wedding, she provided instructions for us on how to best prepare that was very helpful. All of the women absolutely loved their hair and makeup and looked beautiful. I was beyond happy with how my hair/makeup turned out, I truly never felt so beautiful. Amy herself is a pleasure to work with. She is very responsive, considerate, and a very genuine person. I loved chatting with her during my trial and on the day of the wedding. I cannot recommend her enough! Thank you Amy! -

I used Amy for hair and makeup services for my recent wedding in October 2019. She and her team did traditional makeup for my girls and I did the airbrush. PHENOMENAL. Amy was a huge part of making not only my wedding day perfect, but also my bridal shoot. After having a horrible experience with my hair trial for my bridal shoot, Amy was only supposed to be doing my make up that day. I came to her in tears and she fixed my hair and my makeup and completely turned the situation around. Then, I knew I wanted her there for my wedding day for both hair and makeup. On my wedding day, I had an allergic reaction to lash extensions and they needed to be removed. No one locally could help on such short notice, so I let her know and she came and removed the lashes and then worked magic on my swollen eyes and made it completely unnoticeable. Lisa Sent on 11/10/2014I was so hesitant to have someone I did not know do my hair and makeup on my big day. From the very first conversation, Amy was able to put me at ease and I honestly felt very comfortable, which is very rare for me. To complicate matters, I am a strawberry blonde so getting makeup to look right on me is no small feat.
Up to the big day, Amy was always responsive with answers to my questions and gave lots of good ideas and feedback and was so supportive. Once Amy arrived on my wedding day, it was so relaxing and really seemed like she was one of my crew. She was truly a joy to work with. She clearly loves what she does and that makes a huge difference. And the end result...I have never felt more beautiful and glamorous and my husband had the biggest smile when he saw me at the altar. My hair and makeup were just perfect.
Next time I have an event to attend that I need to look like a million bucks without spending that, Amy will be the person I call.
