WHITNEY IS A ROCKSTAR. First, I started planning my wedding 6 weeks prior to the actual date due to COVID shifting our plans. My MOH and I did a virtual appointment over the phone and Whitney was ready to go with our options. She made the entire process quick and easy and ordering was a breeze! She had already spoken with the dress designers ahead of our appointment so we knew which dresses were deliverable in such a small time frame. She gave us a time frame for delivery and Fedex was backed up. Whitney went out of her way, spent two days at a FedEx location on a SATURDAY trying to locate this package. Even though she couldn't get the package herself, she hand delivered these dresses to my house and I literally cannot say enough about this customer service. GET YOUR BRIDESMAIDS DRESSES FROM BELLAS IN BALTIMORE, WHITNEY IS A GODESS!!!!!!!!!!!! -

After getting engaged, I started truly wedding planning Summer 2018. I had used Bella Bridesmaids in 2015 for my best friend’s wedding and didn’t think twice about using them for my own wedding! I was stationed in Germany so I couldn’t join my bridesmaids for a formal fitting in person, but rest assured Whitney at Bella Baltimore had it all under control. My bridesmaids were located in Baltimore and DC. I knew I wanted to use the designer Joanna August in the color Rolling Stone. After the girls got measured and tried on various Joanna August styles in person, Bella had an online portal for payments and dress approvals. The process was so simple, the dresses arrived on time with plenty of alteration time! The girls looked BEAUTIFUL!

When my daughter was searching for Bridesmaids dresses for her girls, it was an easy choice to select Bella Bridesmaids. She had girls in MD and NC and in different cities. It made it so easy for them to go try on the dresses at the different locations, but we utilized the Baltimore location to order everything and to have all the dresses shipped there. We chose Joanna August and allowed the girls to all pick the style they wanted. Whitney who was our consultant was amazing. She helped with every single order, the sizing and then when the dresses came in. We had visited the shop several times and she was great when the girls were trying on all the selections they had. She gave great tips on tying the wrap dress styles that some of the girls chose and with fit of some of the girls. It was a great experience to work with Bella and choose Joanna August for all the girls. -

Bridesmaid Dresses
Whitney was so helpful when it came to finding bridesmaid dresses. The salon was so chic and parking was easy. She gave advice on the color so they didn't blend too much with the groom/groomsmen and they looked phenomenal! I had a pregnant bridesmaid (when we looked but had the baby before so she lost a lot of weight) that she was extra helpful with. I highly recommend Bella to all the brides out there! -

Kathleen Sent on 10/16/2017I had a really good experience picking out bridesmaid dresses with Whitney. She was really friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. The store has a big selection of dresses and colors. We were able to browse through the store and comfortably try on the dresses. Whitney tighten every single dress on the girls to give them a more fitted look. This was extremely helpful as the dresses in store run really big. We went with Watters in a burnt lilac color. Whitney sent the order and contract to all the girls and placed our order timely. When the dresses arrived about 5 months later, two of the girls dresses were wrong (correct size and color but wrong style). This could have been a nightmare but Whitney handled it with grace. She took ownership of her mistake (she ordered the wrong dress) which is the first step in turning this disaster around. She laid out all the options for us to correct the mistake so we could make the best decision given the tight time frame. She offered express shipping, tailoring, refund, etc. We ended up keeping one dress (which was refunded - thank you!) and express ordering another dress. It arrived a week before the wedding and left time for express tailoring. Overall, it wasn't a fully smooth experience but Whitney did such a great job handling the mishap that would I definitely still recommend using Bella Brides in Baltimore!

We decided on beautiful Hailey Paige dresses. This was an amazing experience since we are the only ones in the shop during the appointment time. Whitney was super responsive to all my questions between our appointment and the day the order was placed. Can't wait for them to come in. Thank you Whitney!! -

Whitney was helpful, positive, and really sweet and friendly. I was dreading dress shopping and it was a quick and painless, even fun experience. And no judginess or pushiness to the fact that I got a bridesmaids dress to wear as a bride. Five stars! -

Each appointment was setup just for me and my ladies and didn't feel rushed when making decisions. Quick to respond to emails and answer all questions and concerns. I would recommend this store to other brides who are in need of dresses. -

Nehal Sent on 08/29/2014I have recently ordered my bridesmaid dresses from Bella Bridesmaid Baltimore and had the best experience ever. Whitney is one of the sweetest people in the entire world and was patient and kind with every step of the way. I had to bring all my bridesmaids at different times and every time, Whitney was patient and great! She is very attentive and even was great in letting us go over in time with our appointment due to a late bridesmaid. Never did I feel rushed nor pressured to buy the dress or pick right away. I recommend her to EVERYONE needing bridesmaid dresses. Oh and she was great with my flower girls too (who HATE trying on anything). There is a great small selection of flower girl dresses at the shop and she really works with you on your vision! GO THERE! :) -

She was amazing at giving us a super big window to shop, and working with two jr bridesmaids. We placed our order ASAP and I can't wait to see the dresses come in! -

Fitting Was Wrong, Overpriced, Negative Experience
I visited Bella Bridesmaids in Baltimore to shop for a dress for an upcoming wedding. We only had about three weeks until the date, so admittedly this was last minute, through no fault of our own. I spoke with Olivia before the visit, letting her know I was a size 00. During the appointment, we met with Whitney, who was very friendly. She measured me at a size 0, which I thought sounded off. When the other bridesmaid and I really liked a particular color, we were told this was not in stock. Instead we picked another color, and Whitney ordered the size 0, which I assumed to be the absolute smallest size and figured it would fit me given she took measurements.
I received the dress and it did not fit me. There was also a receipt in the packaging indicating the dress was $140 cheaper than what they had charged me at the store. Hey, they’re a business right? Maybe for that profit they could offer me some customer service in the event the fit is massively off. Well, I also see a return policy with the dress from the designer - stating returns are accepted within 30 days. Bella Bridesmaids states returns are not accepted. I reached out to Whitney to let her know that the dress did not fit, and the only thing she offered me was to get it tailored. The alterations ended up costing $204, nearly as much as the already inflated price of the dress. I understand that the wedding was very close by and options were limited (and really did not appreciate the very blunt comment Whitney had made about this while we were in the store), but the lack of customer service provided to me given the ill fit of the dress is something that is completely unacceptable, especially considering the $140 markup.
I am 5’4, 100 lbs, and later saw the measurements she took as 32-26-35. There is no way she could have honestly believed I was a size 0 - it seems obvious she did this in an effort to get us out of there making sure we purchased something, since apparently size 0 was the lowest size available. Had she been truthful with me that my actual size was not in stock, she would have lost business (because I would have looked elsewhere), which of course was not an option for them.
Feeling so incredibly frustrated by the high markup of the dress and lack on the business’ part to try and accommodate me in any way, I called my credit card to dispute the charge. A few weeks later I received a nasty phone call from Whitney questioning why I did this. Although she expressed wanting to get the situation resolved, she refused to offer me anything in the way of a partial refund. When I received the documentation from her in response to my credit card company, I noticed two disturbing things: 1) Whitney mentioned how close to the wedding I had filed the dispute, and made the assumption that I had intended to wear the dress and then receive a full refund after the fact. I filed the dispute days after receiving the dress in late September. My credit card company, in error, failed to file the dispute until nearly two weeks later when I followed up with them. This is no fault of mine and should not be used in her case against me. I had no choice but to get the dress altered when Bella Bridesmaids offered me nothing in the way of an exchange or return. It was never my intention to simply wear the dress and get my money back. 2) She included the initial email I had sent asking for help with the dress not fitting. I had said some kind words about the dress, and she used these against me in trying to prove that there should be no issue. It’s called being cordial. Had I known she was going to respond the way she did and then proceed to use my words against me, I would have been much firmer about the issues with the dress and my experience.
Though my review is a clear deviation from others here, I want to be 100% honest. I am sure that Whitney will respond with a rebuke to this, mentioning how close our visit was to the wedding – but that is no excuse for a complete unwillingness to help once you’ve taken a $140 cut and the dress fits poorly. After my negative experience with this business, I felt obligated to post for others to consider before visiting Bella Bridesmaids. I stand by my comments here and hope others will shop elsewhere and save themselves the frustration, the hassle, and not least of all - their money.

I made a first appointment there and it went horribly. I’m not sure of the sales person’s name but whoever was working at 2pm on Thursday Feb 22nd 2024.
I had made one appointment in Miami where I live in May 2023. The majority of my bridesmaids live in Baltimore. I didn’t have the best experience in Miami so I decided that now that I am closer to the wedding it would be best to be based in Baltimore.
So I made a first appointment. When I got there the sales person immediately started asking questions that felt like she was grilling me. She said she didn’t prepare any dresses cuz she thought she was doing measurements because of the appointment I had i. Miami.
I ended up just leaving as she continued to be rude and showed in many ways she had no intention of helping me or my bridesmaids.
I’m going to order directly from Dessy for my dresses. In Miami the woman was pushy and in Baltimore she didn’t want to help because she thought the commission would go to Miami because I started my account there.
I am no longer using Bella bridesmaids because their costumer service is not on par to my expectations.
