Ashley, Liz, and the whole Bel Air Bay Club team were an absolute dream to work with for our wedding! They were so flexible when we were thrown curveballs, first with the fires and again when it ended up raining. They made us feel so taken care of and helped the whole day feel seemless for our guests, even if it wasn't exactly the way we'd originally planned! I especially have to shout out the bridal assistant Maria Elena who was so devoted that my husband thought we had known each other for years!! The venue was so stunning, rain or shine, and we were so lucky to have our dream wedding reception at BABC!! -

We had an absolutely magnificent wedding at the Bel Air Bay Club. This venue is everything it appears to be and much more. Their on-site planning team is amazing; we had the pleasure of working with Ashley as our coordinator, and she was phenomenal.
We held our ceremony on the lawn facing the ocean, our cocktail hour in the courtyard, and our reception in their main ballroom. I come from a family of food industry folks, and the one thing that was really important to me, aside from a scenic location that was comfortable for guest of all ages, was the ability to to customize a menu and serve delicious food. The food and beverage options at BABC are far and beyond what other venues offer. Their packages offer an excellent ability to mix and match different options to reach your F&B minimum, and everything is delicious. Their chefs pride themselves on making delicious food that satisfies a variety of palates. We were so pleased with our final menu, and our guests and vendors alike consistently shared that one of their favorite parts of our wedding day was the delicious meal and appetizers. We all appreciated the diversity in menu options!
The venue offers so many different ways to make your day feel unique. From cappuccino stands to tray-passed champagne, to permitting cold sparklers and having hotel rooms on site, there's nothing they can't do. They even let us bring in an In-N-Out truck for the last night of the evening.
We were blessed with a stunning overcast day (that made for beautiful pictures) that then cleared up for the perfect beam of sunlight at dusk for our ceremony. With any weather, this venue is perfect, and it needs so few additional decorations to make it shine.
Our vendors all loved working with the BABC staff, too!
If we could do it all over again, we would pick BABC every single time. We love love love this place and are so blessed to have it to return to for many years to come. If you're thinking about the Bel Air Bay Club, book it before you lose your date! -

We got married at BABC on New Year's Eve 2024 - a week before the fires in the Pacific Palisades. Although I'm not sure what 2025 looks like for Bel-Air, I still wanted to share my wonderful experience working with the team at BABC.
From the first interaction with Jenny and the on-site tour and working with Liz for almost a year in planning and then the day-of team of Ben and Madison, everything was 15/10. Every detail was addressed and taken care of. I was able to personalize each aspect and our wedding day was planned down to the (literal) 5-minute. We had countless calls and video meetings planning in the months and weeks leading to the big day and Liz could not be more patient in working with me and changing previously made decisions.
Part of my thank you note to the BABC team: "It was truly perfect!! I keep saying “I wish I was a guest at my own wedding!” so we truly could’ve experienced every detail. We’ve gotten so many comments from our friends and families that it was the best wedding they’ve ever been to.
You and the entire BABC staff went above and beyond. The service was incredible, every tiny detail was noticed and taken care of, and the whole day was so smooth. Kyle and I had zero nerves all day and I didn’t look at a clock once if you can believe it!
That brings me to Ben and Madison - wow! What a fantastic team they make. I hope they know how much we appreciated them (and Vivienne!) in bringing the day to life and handling anything that came up so we could just enjoy the day.
I will miss working with you but am so excited to have these perfect wedding memories and the best experience to look back on."
If you have the chance to get married at Bel-Air Bay Club - DO IT! It truly was a magical day and will forever hold a special place in my heart. What a perfect place to start our marriage. -

If I could give 1,000,000/10 stars I would. Words can't even begin to describe how amazing this venue, staff, experience, etc. is. My husband and I live in San Diego but are from the east coast & decided early on that we wanted to get married out here in SoCal. Ideally we would of loved to get married in San Diego (because duh we live there!) but didn't fall in love with a venue in the area. Our thought process was "if we're going to ask everyone to fly across the country, we need to give them that Southern California feel" and when we found Bel Air Bay Club...our jaws literally hit the floor. If anyone is looking for a venue that not only is STUNNING inside and literally outside + have the absolute best support from the venue, please look no further. From Ashley to Steve to Maria- everyone was unreal. The email and phone support (& yes I was one of those brides who emailed 35 million times a day and Ashley Hann answered every.single.question without any hesitation!) this venue provides of second to none. When I say that every.single.one.of.our.guests couldn't stop talking about how good the food was, how beautiful the lawn was, how amazing that we had so many different rooms to hangout in, etc. I mean, every guest was blown away by the venue. For getting ready, the boys had their own room that's huge and spacious and overlooks the lawn (I did get some feedback that it was a little warm while they were getting ready) and then us girls had the boardroom downstairs that went straight onto the gorgeous patio that overlook the water (I will admit that I think adding some additional couches or something for comfort would be nice but overall, very comfortable!) and made it super easy for the 10 of us to all get ready! I could write a million pages on why this venue made all my dreams come true, and I truly mean it. Cost wise- you're paying a premium but you're getting an absolute premium with service, food, alcohol, VIEWS & overall experience. If anyone is on the hence about BABC, just do it. We had all 160 guests fly into LAX (only 10 of our guests live on the west coast!), they all stayed in the Courtyard Marriott in Santa Monica, and then we hired shuttles to take everyone to the venue (13 min drive). For the entire weekend we wanted to give our guests an experience that was seamless and beautiful & BABC did just that. Was hands down the best weekend of our lives & we have Bel Air Bay Club to thank for it!
P.S- Maria (venue bridal coordinator) is sweetest lady I have ever met. An absolute god sent- she helped me with everything & anything I needed! Made the entire night so amazing for both me and my husband. Right before I walked down the stairs for our ceremony, I was so nervous/anxious and Maria literally just held me to calm my nerves and help me be less anxious. I mean, what other venue offers a literal wedding emotional support coordinator?! If the above rant didn't convince you to book BABC, have 1 conversation with Maria and that's all you need! -

The Bel Air Bay Club team was wonderful in helping my wife, my family, and I plan and execute the perfect wedding. They were super communicative and attentive throughout the entire process and made sure our many adjustment requests were tracked and executed. Ashley and their team proved to be extremely knowledgeable and caring every step of the way. I can't say enough about them. Helps that the venue's architecture and views are world class as well! -

I just got married on August 29. I cannot say enough good things about this venue absolutely gorgeous breathtaking ocean views such a beautiful California style wedding. It has everything you would want .amazing outdoor lawn for the ceremony perfect house for cocktail hour gorgeous Spanish patio and of course, the most beautiful reception with ocean views the staff are professionals very helpful and kind Liz, the catering manager is absolutely lovely to work with super patient and professional. If I were to do this all over again I would absolutely pick the same menu. I highly recommend this place. You will have no problems. They provide day of coordinators and personal assistant very, very, very organized. -

We had our wedding at the Bel-Air Bay Club almost a month ago, and my wife and I couldn't be happier with our choice. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful, with breathtaking views of the ocean and beautiful facilities that made our special day truly magical. The elegance and charm of the location provided the perfect backdrop for our ceremony and reception. The myriad of amenities and benefits provided to us as we had family staying at their guest rooms and as clients were immensely helpful for making our wedding planning less stressful without a professional planner.
A huge thank you to our event coordinator, Ashley. From the very beginning, she was attentive, organized, and readily addressed all of our concerns leading up to the wedding. She understood our vision and ensured that every detail was executed flawlessly. Her expertise and professionalism made the planning process smooth and stress-free.
We also want to give a special shoutout to Ben, our onsite coordinator. On the day of the wedding, Ben was an uplifting presence and ensured everything ran smoothly despite the occurrence of some hiccups. He was always available to answer questions and handle any last-minute changes, allowing us to fully enjoy our day without any worries.
Overall, the staff at Bel-Air Bay Club went above and beyond to make our wedding day perfect. With regards to the unusual situation that arose during our ceremony, BABC probably could not have handled it better. Their dedication to excellence and genuine care for their clients is evident in everything they do. We highly recommend Bel-Air Bay Club to any couple looking for a beautiful venue with outstanding service. -

My husband and I had our wedding just a couple months back in March and it was everything we had envisioned!! Bel Air Bay Club is such a beautiful venue that provides a breathtaking backdrop for the ceremony and such an awesome indoor reception space that acts more like a blank canvas allowing for a couples to really create a space that embodies their vision and personality, no matter your budget. For the couples that our budget conscious, the venue is all encompassing and does not require you add a ton of decor but for those who want to go over the top there is plenty of space to doll it up. We were somewhere in between as we did not want to spend a huge amount on venue decorations, which is why this venue was perfect for us.
The staff at the venue from Jenny to Kira were super helpful in answering all of our questions from start to finish. They had great communication from the moment we filled out the inquiry form to the day of our wedding. They did have a few staff transitions but been with that, communication was great in the handoff process. The true MVP was my wedding concierge - she was AMAZING!! She made sure I was taken care of from wiping my tears to making sure I was eating throughout the entire night. She even took a few pics that was such a sweet treat to look at the end of our wedding night.
The tasting was really good as well. It was great being able to try their popular selections for food and wine; many of the items we chose for our wedding day. The day of our wedding, the dinner did not wow us like how it did in the tasting but the guests could not stop raving about the flatbread and ceviche during the cocktail hour.
We wished we had the flexibility to to confirm our rehearsal date/time sooner than 14 days as you can imagine our wedding party and parents had a ton of questions on where to be and by when as they planned out their own travel logistics. It was an inconvenience for members of wedding party who were flying in from out of town to book hotels and flights 14 days out. This impacted their ability to take advantage of our hotel room block and ultimately had the wedding party split up across various hotels in Santa Monica which did not allow for them to take advantage of some of the pre-wedding festivities the day of our wedding.
Also, payment options are only limited to check payments. Given our experiences with guests not receiving our mailed save the dates and wedding invitations we were concerned about the checks getting lost in the mail. Luckily all payments were received on time but given the digital era it would have been more efficient to send these payments via wire transfer.
General wedding advice, make sure you actually read the contracts in full for all of your vendors. We wouldn’t say there were surprises but you should fully understand what the Food and Beverage (F&B) minimum is. We interpreted it as a contract/venue minimum but we found out later it is purely a minimum that can only be reached through food and beverage purchases. It was a slight inconvenience as we were thinking about some of the upgrades (i.e chairs, chargers, dance floor etc.) could be included in reaching this minimum.
Otherwise, this venue was amazing and so happy we did our due diligence in researching! BABC met our expectations and if we could do it again….we would pick this place 1,000 times over!! Also highly recommend the passed champagne for your guests upon entry to your ceremony, you won’t regret it!!! -

A night to remember!
We had our wedding at the Bel Air Bay Club on February 4th and it was absolutely beautiful! Over the last year, our venue coordinator Kira was incredibly helpful with answering all of our questions and pivoting to a back up rain plan days before the event so we could move everything inside due to rain on our wedding day. We couldn't have dreamed of a more special day, and everything from the food to the service was impeccable. The staff here is absolutely amazing and we would like to give a shoutout to Steve the Director of Banquets, Maria Elena our bridal assistant (a true gem who literally treated us like king and queen), Jacob the sweetest waiter who handled our VIP tables, our day of coordinators Maddie and Ben, and the valet team who worked hard all night in the storm and ensured our guests stayed dry in the rain. Our guests also couldn't stop talking about how delicious the food and drinks were, how smooth the day went, and the true elegance the Bel-Air Bay Club evokes. The food presentation was absolutely beautiful. Even though we had to move everything inside due to the weather, the wedding resulted in an absolutely magical space and we wouldn't have changed a thing! We are incredibly happy that we got married here and highly recommend it for your wedding venue. Thank you to everyone at BABC you are amazing!!!! -

I cannot give the Bel-Air Bay Club team enough praise!!! We hired them as our venue (both ceremony and reception) for our wedding on 12/30/23. Throughout the entire process (almost 2 years from booking to wedding) they were incredibly communicative, kind, and helpful! They hopped on multiple email exchanges and calls to make sure we got what we wanted and that everything was organized and in order. They worked with all of our vendors and myself and my husband extremely well. The staff both prior to and day-of were friendly, professional, and awesome. The attention to detail was immaculate. And the space was the just stunning inside and out. We also loved that the pricing was extremely transparent from start to finish. It was truly the wedding of our dreams. To this day, the guests can't stop talking about it. Would recommend Bel-Air Bay Club over and over again!! -

This venue is perched on the scenic cliffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean, and the stunning views create a mesmerizing backdrop for the ceremony area. We had a dream wedding at the BABC and would recommend it a 1000x over.
Pricing - When we first found BABC through Wedding Wire, the venue looked too gorgeous to be within our budget, but we are SO glad we reached out b/c we were pleasantly surprised to find that the price estimate on Wedding Wire was accurate (before tax/service)! Even though it was a little bit more than we were planning to spend on a venue, their prices are primarily food/beverage minimums and differ by season/day of the week. They also book out SUPER fast so start planning early! When we toured in May 2022, the first Sunday available was in Sept 2023 and the first Saturday available was in Nov 2023.
Venue - The venue is SO beautiful, just like the photos. My husband and I had toured 4 other venues in San Diego and they were all just as expensive but very underwhelming in person. When we toured the BABC, we IMMEDIATELY looked at each other and knew it was the one. The view from the steps down to the lawn is breathtaking, and we loved that we had the whole space to ourselves. We also love that the lawn overlooks the ocean, instead of being directly on a sandy beach, and that we are far enough from the highway that we can’t hear traffic or see random strangers.
Wedding Planning - BABC hosts a ton of weddings so they have a very standardized and streamlined process, complete with wedding planning workbooks, menus, recommended vendors, etc. that made it possible to plan our wedding without a wedding planner. Our event coordinators, Liz and Caroline, were AMAZING — we had sooo many questions which they answered with the utmost promptness, patience, thoroughness. We never had to worry about chasing them down (which we learned is easily the most stressful part of dealing with vendors). They also provided a day of coordinator, Madison, and a bridal attendant, Maria Elena, both of whom were amazing. Maria truly went above and beyond to help me with my dress and bouquet, and even took beautiful photos for us so we could see a sneak peak of the poses / angles our photographer had taken.
Food - BABC also has a monthly tasting, which was super fun. We loved BABC’s hor d'oeuvres, as did our guests. The only mini area of improvement would be their steak, which we did not like at the tasting. But we just avoided it by choosing short ribs and scallops as our entree options, and our guests raved about the scallops!
There’s a reason why two of our friends, and two of our friends’ friends, also had or are having their weddings at the BABC. It’s truly a beautiful venue, with the best staff, at a reasonable price point. Thank you BABC for making our wedding the BEST day ever!!! -

My wife and I could not not have imagined our wedding be at any venue other than the Bel Air Bay Club. As you can see from their pictures, the entire property is gorgeous and well maintained. Every staff member there was not only courteous to us, but to all of our guests. Our events coordinating manager Ashley was on top of every detail. She was attentive to all of our needs and changes and she helped keep us on schedule and always followed up on our requests. We were in absolute great hands with her. From day one we knew that we had made the right decision. Amongst the many reasons why we enjoyed BABC, here are a few:
The venue photographs extremely well.
All of the vendors we used LOVE working there and have been there before.
The property is very versatile (and spacious) and can accommodate various types of setups.
They have most of the things you need on the wedding day, between dance floor to dinnerware to chairs, etc.
The option to stay in one of their rooms is a real bonus that we would highly recommend.
The food and catering is top notch. We were told by several of our guests that the buffet spread we had was the best wedding food they’ve ever had.
They do MANY weddings per year, so they know exactly what they are doing. They are like a well oiled machine.
And, of course, the view is perfect.
We can’t say enough nice things about this place. The only drawback is that so many other people feel this way that you will have to book well in advance.

The Bel-Air Bay Club has a fabulous reputation, and after our wedding we know EXACTLY WHY! The club is the most special, wonderful event space / wedding venue you can possibly use in Southern California. Not only is the club and the views alone breathtaking, but every single person who works there is an absolute pleasure. I specifically worked with Jenny and Ashley - who are just unbelievable!!! Jenny helped me source my planner and truly helped guide me on my event when I knew nothing. And, Ashley was our partner throughout the entire process ensuring every detail was perfect. The club is just full of pros, and not to mention the INCREDIBLE FOOD!!!! This place is just top notch!!!! -

Best Wedding Venue in LA
My now-husband and I explored close to 75 wedding venues across Los Angeles, Palm Springs, and Puerto Vallarta and hands down the Bel-Air Bay Club was the best. The staff was immediately professional, friendly, and excited to work with us and venue spaces were exquisite. It was an easy decision to select the BABC as our wedding venue. From day one, they were a breeze to work with and made sure our wedding day was perfect. A special shout out to Jenny Martin, Liz Phan for all of their amazing coordination and help leading up to the wedding and to Banquet Captain Anthony, Operations Director Steve, and Day Of Coordinator Katrina for making the day spectacular and 100% stress-free. All of our guests are still raving about the wedding, especially the BABC's views, spaces, bartending staff, catering staff, food, and experience! -

BABC - Do your wedding here!
From the start, the planning staff was well prepared and offered some really good information to help with the planning. There are a good number of options with selecting location, food, amenities, etc. The day of: We had a dedicated room for the bride's group to do hair/make-up and another room for the groomsmen to get dressed. The location of the altar was setup on the lawn with option of facing Santa Monica, the ocean, or Malibu (we did Malibu). BABC offers light food and your choice of beverages for getting ready. We selected the fireplace room to hold the reception with three long tables and we sat separately at a table at the head of the middle table. The place settings were gorgeous, the wait staff was efficient, helpful, friendly during the multicourse meal. We used the courtyard for both the self-service food stations and also two fully stocked bars. For 125 ppl we didn't have to wait for anything more than a minute or two. The views of the ocean from the dining room was spectacular. We highly recommend this venue over the other ten we visited - and we are so happy we did. Note 1 - We had the wedding on a Thursday as opposed to a weekend (a much better value if you're looking to save a little $$). Note 2 - For transportation, we had multiple 38 seat buses and one 56 seat bus. They say that larger buses can't maneuver up the narrow road and beneath the tree canopy. -

Literally our wedding day dreams come true. BABC and their staff were absolutely amazing and helped guide us throughout the process from beginning to end. I especially would like to thank Liz Phan, our coordinator who helped us out with everything. Liz you are absolutely amazing, thank you so much for everything! It’s all thanks to her that this stressful wedding planning went smoothly and helped our big day be that much more memorable. Liz helped our beautiful dream wedding day come to life. Planning a wedding is very stressful, but Liz was there every step of the way. She would give us advice and guidance and always looked out for us. She was always available when I had questions. Thanks to her, our special day was absolutely perfect. In the midst of world breaking SoCal rainfalls and storms, we are beyond thankful the sun decided to make an appearance that one day of the week and allowed us to enjoy the beautiful ocean views during our ceremony which is one of the main reasons we chose this venue. The views are breathtaking, the staff is very friendly, and the venue offered many things like a ceremony arch, wooden dance floor, wooden chairs, and other wedding reception items that were included in our overall pricing. We had researched and visited a number of venues until we found BABC and I knew this was the place I wanted to get married at the minute I saw the stunning views and met the staff. I would also like to thank Maria Elena, my bridal assistant for that day. She was just amazing and the absolute best! She really is BABC’s best hidden secret! She was like my fairy godmother the entire time - from the beginning till the end of our night. Anything I needed or my husband needed, she was always there to help. We are so grateful for BABC’s amazing staff and service and beautiful venue. Literally our wedding dreams come true.

We had a truly incredible experience having our wedding here. From the food tasting all the way through to the wedding day itself, our coordinator Ashley was there for us every step of the way and was incredibly kind, communicative and transparent through out the process. While planning a wedding can be stressful, we always knew that we were in great hands.
And when the day came, that couldn't have been more true. Ashley and Katrina were there for us from the morning of the wedding all the way 'til the end of the night to make sure that things ran smoothly. And that they did!
On top of staffing a day-of-coordinator, there was also the bridal attendant, Maria Elena, who is the absolute best!
And also a thank you to Jenny who gave us the initial tour and helped us get set up with our date before being assigned to Ashley!
It truly was a day neither of us will ever forget.
Beautiful views. Great food. Kind and wonderful staff. A personalized experience. We couldn't recommend this place more! -

My wife, Rose Mary and I had our wedding at Bel-Air Bay Club (BABC) on July 15, 2022. Our wedding was pushed back twice from June 7, 2020 and again from July 25, 2021 due to the pandemic. We thank BABC so much for being understanding and flexible with the rescheduling. After 3.5 years of waiting, we arrived on July 15, 2022 and had the most spectacular day of our lives. This was re-echoed by many of our guests saying the "best wedding" and/or "most beautiful venue" ever. The BABC staff was 110% supportive and on their A-game guiding us throughout the day. You can certainly save your money on a "day of" wedding planner, because the BABC Wedding Coordinator Ashley ran things so effectively during our rehearsal, pre-wedding, and during the wedding. They were also very very attentive to my wife Rose Mary in the bridal room, especially during our private moment, helping with her dress, any concerns, and checking in on our mental well-being with everything going on (LOL). Also, the staff from the bartenders, servers, chefs, cooks, the security guard, and front office people... just world-class service all around. We are forever thankful for the experience we had at BABC and we fully recommend them to the moon to have your wedding at their venue. -

No words to describe how amazing this venue is. Worth every penny!
Thank you so much for an amazing event. I'm truly amazed how smoothly the day went. I worked with Liz Pham and she is so amazing. I was planning my wedding while balancing work and nursing school and she made it happen. She helped me through it all and didn’t mind my crazy schedule. She’s flexible and on point! Im glad I decided to go for it and get married at this venue. No regrets whatsoever. Thanks to Liz, my wedding coordinator, and BABC my family was able to enjoy the wedding and have an amazing time. This is a GORGEOUS old Spanish-style villa in a fabulous setting overlooking the ocean. If you're looking for a warm, welcoming and elegant atmosphere for your event, this is the place. Esmeralda was our staff person for our son's wedding, and she organized an array of services and staffing for our event that ran like clockwork. During the planning phase, she answered every question promptly. worked with our son and his bride on details, and had a list of local vendors from which they could choose (florists, hair/makeup artists, photographer/videographer, etc.) who had worked at the venue before. The attention to detail, and the staff and team members’ care for the bridal party and guests were extraordinary. Everything from having refreshments in the bridesmaids' and groomsmen' dressing rooms to lint brushing of the men's suits were such thoughtful touches. I needed to change into sneakers partway through the event, and staff ran to make sure the dressing room was open so I could make the shoe switch. The set up for the ceremony was seamless, the cocktail and food service was perfect. It was worth the price point to have such a professionally run venue and such great staff. Highly recommend this venue. -

Bel Air Bay Club is fully worth it; if you are able to afford and reserve a date with them, do it!
Because of the outstanding level of service this venue provides, we did not need to hire Day-of Coordinator. They will not fill the role of a full wedding planner (hiring external vendors, creating color schemes, event design, etc), but you just let them guide you to create a timeline, layout, and menu, hand them your list of vendor contact information, and they will handle all vendors and coordination on the day-of. Our wonderful Special Events Coordinators Gabriella and Esmeralda fully handled and recorded every weird request we had and helped guide us through the process up until the day-of, and the onsite coordinator Sophie + her assistant worked with us and our external vendors on the day-of.
Jenny guided us through their pricing structure, and there were no hidden fees whatsoever, everything was upfront. They provide extensive documentation to clarify what they do and don't do, any options you'd like to add on, and they are also very responsive to any questions.
They were extremely flexible, even when we had last-minute requests due to Covid (changing the whole layout, seating arrangements, even switched out a guest who cancelled with another guest who asked last minute if she could come). Everything went off without a hitch, we were totally relaxed without a worry on our special day and the staff handled everything.
They even provided a wonderful bridal attendant Maria who helped so much, carrying my veil and train so they didn't get messed up for photos, bringing me drinks, and taking tons and tons of photos throughout the day which was a wonderful supplement to what our photographers were able to capture. She's an absolute gem.
The venue is so beautiful that (in my opinion) it does not need much decoration if you would like to be budget conscious in that regard. Just something on the ceremony arch and some centerpieces are all that's necessary.
The wait staff were extremely efficient and made sure everyone got their meals in a timely manner. All the food was delicious, nothing was disappointing. It was served at the perfect temperature, it was all very flavorful, and none of the steak or fish was overcooked (very impressive, I've never been to a large event where everything was cooked perfectly). We chose to serve raw oysters during appetizers and they were extremely fresh and delicious. The cocktails were perfect as well. My now-husband and I are pretty critical of how food is cooked usually and it fully exceeded our expectations in a delightful way.
Guests made so many comments on how amazing the food and drinks were, how insanely beautiful the view & venue were, how "you guys really know how to throw a party". Our families were simply blown away, they'd never been to a wedding where the family could just sit and relax, especially with that kind of view.
It was truly the best wedding we'd ever been to. We are realists; we weren't necessarily looking to create a "dream wedding;" we just wanted to put together an event that we ourselves would remember and enjoy attending as guests; but an absolute 100% DREAM WEDDING is what we experienced with the guidance and support from the wonderful staff. -

Where to begin! The Bel Air Bay Club is an absolutely gorgeous venue inside and out and our friends are still raving about the view weeks later. We had the most amazing team to work with including Esmeralda, Jenny and Sophie. They were very responsive to questions and kept us on track throughout the planning process. For the day of, Sophie did and incredible job coordinating and making our vision come true! The night went so smoothly and we are so thankful for everyone’s help throughout this process!! Incredible experience from beginning to end!
So my husband and I are from Northern California and we had several relatives in the Southern California area so we searched online to find a venue that would meet in the middle and that would overlook the ocean. We did the walkthrough video on youtube and booked it. Crossed our fingers and when we went in person we were blown away with how gorgeous this place is! The pictures or videos don't do it justice!
Sure the place is gorgeous but, what made it such a wonderful experience was the staff. On the wedding day everyone was working to make our day about us. They made us feel welcomed and acknowledged us all throughout the day.
I especially want to highlight our coordinator Jenny Martin for her work ethic, patience, and professionalism.
Since we were doing our planning during the pandemic there were so many additional details involved in the wedding planning process that we didn't realize but, Jenny Martin walked us through every thing step by step to make sure we were happy with all of our selections in the planning process. Due to LA county mandates we also needed to postpone our wedding date from April 29th, 2021 to July 8th, 2021. But, Jenny was professional and gave us the options we needed to make sure that our wedding day was everything that we envisioned. She was a dream to work with. From the start she was truly kept us as her priority and this showed through how quickly she responded to our emails and calls. She even referred us to vendors (florist, photography, etc.) that also contributed to making our day as dreamy as it was. Although we had to travel back and forth to plan our wedding day we felt that it was totally worth it because we were in great hands with Jenny. She is exceptional, hardworking, and knows what she's doing! You will not be disappointed! :)

AWESOME venue!! Thank you, BABC!
We feel incredibly lucky to have had our wedding here. It took us several months to find a venue, as we looked across a few different counties along the So Cali coastline. BABC miraculously satisfied all of the criteria that we were seeking: coastal, historic, private/intimate, a variety of outdoor and indoor spaces, and ideal size for various guest counts. It also offers incredible food, the best staff, and a decent value proposition compared to some other venues. Further details below - but, in sum, we loved our experience with BABC, which was the perfect venue for our special day. Our guests raved about it, from the spectacular views to the superb food and drinks. If you’re considering it, book ASAP because dates fill up quickly!
Setting - Beautiful venue with breathtaking ocean views and impeccably-manicured grounds. The building and interiors convey some old world charm yet are very timeless. There are a number of different spaces (both in and out) for your guests to move about. Spacious and lovely rooms for the bride and groom to get ready in.
Food - We loved the tasting event beforehand when we got to sample several food options and wine. Nearly everything was so delicious that it was difficult to finalize a menu. The chef definitely delivered the day-of... I just wish I had more time to eat!
Staff - The entire staff is incredibly attentive, responsive, and professional, which made planning less stressful and the day-of more enjoyable. We especially appreciate Krissy (our main contact), Jenny (our day-of coordinator), and Christine (who handled our rehearsal), all of whom were such a pleasure to work with. One of the fears I had before touring this venue was that a private club may be too stuffy or elitist. However, the staff is extremely personable and down-to-earth, and BABC is very flexible and accommodating (they allowed us to bring in donuts and accommodated some menu requests).
Value - There's a hefty price tag, but the pricing is comparable to or even less expensive than some resorts/hotels. You get more for your money, as many things are included (arch ceremony structure(s), aisle runner, easels, cake stand, linens, tables, chairs, chargers, small candles, etc). Plus, I saved by not hiring a day-of coordinator since the venue provided one (and a very sweet bridal attendant!). I was worried I had a lot of decor and personal items to set up, but Jenny handled all of it seamlessly and perfectly. -

My husband and I just had our ceremony and reception here and we could fill the pacific ocean with compliments to this staff. Jenny Martin and Cheraya Williams were such wonderful people in helping us plan. They were patient, prompt and flexible in a time of great uncertainty and stress. We will never forget their kindness and how unbelievably GREAT everyone is at their jobs there. That sentiment extends to everyone who staffs the venue. Our guests said over and over how it was the most beautiful, most delicious, most fun wedding they've ever been to.

My husband and I just had our wedding reception at the Bel Air Bay Club about 3 weeks ago and it was seriously such a DREAM! We initially spoke with Carrie to book the event and she was super friendly and professional, and she went above and beyond to make sure everything was clear and all our questions were answered. I was so amazed not just by the beauty of the venue (overlooking the Pacific Ocean at sunset? Hello, gorgeous!) but at how much was included. Everything from the dinner ware and chargers to the linens and even the extra candles... and that’s not to mention the FOOD! A tasting is included and it was divine, just like on the wedding day. As the day got closer, I primarily worked with Jenny, who has become one of my favorite people to chat with. Seriously, she’s hilarious. She made sure all loose ends were tied and that we were able to pull off the wedding of our dreams. I didn’t know this at the time, but I even got a bridal attendant the day of the wedding! She was fabulous, like some sort of ninja who snuck up on me at the exact moment I needed something and had it ready for me before I said anything (including shoes, my dress bustled, extra champagne, food — literally anything I needed!). Everything from booking to the day after the wedding checking out in the morning was so fun and so easy. I’ve also gotten so many compliments from our guests over the past few weeks, all saying ours was the best wedding they ever attended. I’m so grateful to the BABC for that. I almost wish I could throw a follow up wedding just so I could relive it ask over again! -

We knew from the moment we walked into this venue, that this was it. The price, the setting, the staff, the views- were all amazing and sold it to us. This is true California wedding vibes in a classy setting and the staff are amazing. Our wedding ran so smoothly thanks to the incredible staff on site who helped from the beginning of planning and on the day of. My bridal attendant was like my fairy godmother and I would not have survived the day without her! Krissy Allegra is amazing and so helpful with all of the planning and logistics, she also gives great advice. I would recommend this venue without a doubt and hope to attend a wedding here as a guest in the future! -

We just had our wedding here in February 2019 and I can not say enough good things about this venue.
First off, from the first email to the day after the event, the staff are all incredible. The team I worked with was always very responsive, incredibly detail-oriented and VERY good at their jobs. I'm an event planner so I had pretty high expectations and the event team at BABC (Chris, Krissy and Jenny) exceeded them all. They have a workbook for weddings that makes all the decision-making a very easy process, and they are truly a full-service, all-inclusive venue that has everything you could possibly need--they even provided straws in the bridal suite so we could drink without smudging our lipstick while we were getting ready! They literally think of everything so that you don't have to. If you're a bride that doesn't want to have to fuss over renting chairs and glassware and dealing with anymore vendors than you already need to, this is your place.
On the day before and day of the event, the BABC coordinator, Jenny, made sure that everything went according to plan. Special thank you to her for putting up with my "energetic" family and also assembling our paper programs in the blowing wind and making that seem like it was no big deal at all. I've heard lots of stories post-wedding about the team going out of their way to make extra accommodations for vendors and guests. And we've heard continual rave reviews from our guests about the food as well.
This place is also stunningly beautiful. The views alone would be worth having an event there; we got lucky with the weather and had a perfect sunset over the ocean backdrop during our ceremony that blew all of our guests away. But the inside courtyard and living room area are also gorgeous and our guests really enjoyed having the space to get out of the noisy main room and have space to spread out. Sidenote: they have not one, but TWO working fireplaces.
The parking situation is indeed limited as others have noted, but we had 170 guests and provided a shuttle for everyone who was from out of town. That meant there were plenty of spots for locals and vendors and we encouraged guests to use ride sharing. As long as you let guests know in advance, I don't think this is a problem at all.
I can't thank the BABC team enough for making the whole wedding planning and wedding day experience a stress-free dream. Booking this venue was the best decision we made! (Aside from choosing each other of course...) -

10 out of 10!!! We had our dream wedding at BABC and would 100% recommend this venue. First, I cannot say enough about the team at Bel Air Bay Club. They go above and beyond. Not every venue does this and we were completely blown away by the level of service and quality of the staff. Thank you thank you from from the bottom of our hearts - especially to Carrie, Christine, Krissy, and Jenny. FANTASTIC team!!! Second, the venue is absolutely gorgeous - couldn't ask for better location in LA. It was our dream spot. Guests still talk to me about the view of the ocean at sunset. We felt like we were in a fairytale. Bel Air Bay Club is hands down the best venue and staff you will find in Los Angeles. The staff makes you feel like you are the only one that matters, even though they do multiple weddings each week - which means they have tons of experience. We are so happy and grateful to BABC!!! I would tell my closest family and friends to have their wedding at this venue. It will be the best decision you make in planning your wedding! -

Once we choose them, the staff was amazing and helped us turn our dream into a reality. They dealt with a lot of back and forth with us and really helped make this process as easy as possible. Everyone at our wedding could not stop talking about was how great the venue was and how wonderful everything looked. The food was really good, the bar packages were great, and the day-of staff was spectacular and made our big day stress free.
If you want a ceremony that overlooks the ocean and is a beautiful indoor/outdoor venue, then LOOK NO FURTHER. -

Molly Sent on 09/10/2018Hands down, best wedding venue you could ever get married at. Most beautiful view, most organized team, and best food. Oh, and it's a private property, so you won't be getting married at the same time that three other brides are getting married. And there won't be any random spectators.
You also get the best of all worlds. You get married with an ocean view, have a beautiful floral patio for cocktail hour, and have a giant tall ceiling ocean view ballroom.
Even though they have almost 2 or more weddings a week, they make you feel like you're the only bride for the month. Krissy is the head lady and she responds to your emails so quickly, so planning is really easy with her. They even have a bridal assistant for you on day of that follows you around and gets you whatever you need, takes you to the bathroom, etc. We had some pretty weird requests and the BABC worked with us to make it happen. The food is phenomenal, we had so many compliments on it. They have done this so many times that everything runs so smoothly.
BABC has a easy to read packet that describes everything you need to know. Our day of coordinator was really on top of things, she got there really early and made sure we had everything we needed. The bridal suite is perfect, mirrors everywhere, and the grooms suite has the best view.
I got married on a Friday, and although Friday weddings aren't ideal, it was a huge price cut for the same amazing service. I highly recommend it. It ended up working out just fine for my out of town guests, etc.
Lastly, the staff is super down to earth, easy to get along with, NOT fake or superficial. That is something that really stood out to me. This venue is the nicest and holds the biggest, most expensive weddings I've ever seen. My wedding was more simple and on a Friday, and I didn't feel like I was treated any less of a person because we weren't spending as much as the other huge weddings they had there. We still received exceptional service. -

But we can't say enough about the staff and service we received throughout the entire wedding process through the end of the wedding reception. We first visited the club on a whim, on a day when it was foggy and raining and the ocean wasn't even visible. The high quality of service we received on our initial walk through was so amazing that we signed the contract the next day. The food far surpassed anything we ever expected, and their staff is so flexible that you can truly transform the space into anything that you want it to be. The Bay Club was exactly what we were looking for. Beautiful views of the water and the general ability to adjust items as needed for a customized experience. They won’t be the cheapest option but it will be a professional, organized, and just magical time! Food is wonderful and we wouldn’t have changed a thing! -

User1415730 Sent on 11/01/2013unfortunately, this rating system doesnt ask for a rating on beauty and elegance. if it did, the bel air bay club would get a 10. if youre looking for a gorgeous, undeniably beautiful space to have your event, the bel air bay club is the place to do it. but if youre too picky and need extra flexibility, you might run into a few bumps here. the first thing that caught me off guard was the lack of "perks" you get. as the bride/groom on your wedding day, you might expect such an expensive venue to provide some sort of nosh or beverages. nope you get nothing for free here, and youre not allowed to bring in your own food and drinks either. also, on the subject of food, they dont have a "vendors meal plan" so youre paying full (and high) prices for all your vendors to eat. normally thats not too big of a deal, but when you have your photographers, videographers, florists, etc. and on top of that you have a 12 person band, well, it adds up to say the least. i had to turn purple before they agreed to let me feed my vendors a subway meal, but they had to eat outside (and of course, no chairs or tables were provided so i felt bad, but did save a lot of money). MAKE SURE you meet with the wedding coordinator ahead of time and EMPHASIZE how important certain things are for the day-of. my GRANDMOTHER was supposed to walk down the aisle, and the wedding coordinator didnt see it on the list that was very clear and was provided to her ahead of time, so grandma didnt walk down. a HUGE deal and extremely upsetting. also, i had a wedding sign in book that she missed so it didnt get put out and i have a wedding sign in book with no well wishes :( finally, a box of over 100 balloons "got lost" which is BS because it took me forever to figure out the plans for those.
on a GOOD note: ive never had wedding food that tasted as incredibly amazing as the food here. the food was simply top quality, better than restaurant food (minus some trouble with dessert)
