Perfect Wedding experience

Bekker's is the best :) We had so many compliments on how amazing the food was and how great the staff was. Everyone was so friendly and had the venue set up in record speed. Using Bekker's bartenders made coordinating seamless and they were also amazing to our guests. Kimberly was AMAZING as our coordinator as well. She was so organized, communicated with all vendors, and kept to the timeline with no hiccups at all. She took away all day of stress, and everything went as planned. We are so grateful for how easy she made things and how beautiful everything turned out. We had multiple guests with dietary restrictions, and she made sure they were catered to appropriately. I cannot say enough positive things about her and Bekker's team !!!!

Bekker's is the BEST!

From start to finish, our experience with Bekker’s was exceptional. There’s a reason their ratings are so high and why they’re consistently voted the best catering company year after year.

After reading their incredibly positive reviews, I decided to reach out and Haley answered my first call. She was so helpful in talking through a proposal and quickly sent over what we discussed. There were so many things I hadn't thought of that she explained and asked questions about. I contacted several other local caterers, but many took days to respond or required scheduling calls just to answer simple questions. With Bekker’s, I could call during business hours and always reach someone. That level of accessibility was invaluable when quick questions or changes came up.

Their menu and rental options were fantastic as well. I highly recommend booking a tasting once you’ve narrowed down your menu. It's a really great opportunity to talk with staff about your proposal and understand the menu options.

The service and food on our wedding day were flawless. We got married at the Junípero Serra Museum in October, and the event staff were truly wonderful. They were kind, attentive, upbeat, and fully engaged throughout the entire evening. We offered passed appetizers, wine service, and cake service, so they were assisting guests nonstop. We also received countless compliments on the food. After the event, at least ten people mentioned how incredible the Kale & Strawberry Salad was!

You absolutely cannot go wrong with Bekker’s. I would recommend them again and again!

I hired them for my wedding and from the initial phone consultation, through planning meetings, and the event itself, I felt completely taken care of by every single staff member. One of the owners, Olga, went over my menu with me in such detail—we were so impressed! Everyone is thoughtful, detail-oriented, kind, and professional. I felt like a priority because they take the time to listen to what you want and offer great suggestions based on their decades of experience! Great Experience with Bekkers!

We had a fantastic experience with Bekker's Catering! The food was absolutely delicious and very affordable, and their customer service was incredible. Even with all the details they had to handle, the team was so patient in helping us choose the perfect table linens and answering every question we had.
We decided to go with bamboo plates, cloth napkins, and metal silverware, which not only fit our garden theme beautifully but was also a very budget-friendly option. The farm tables they provided were gorgeous, adding an extra touch to the overall atmosphere.
The entire team was lovely, and our guests kept mentioning how kind the bartenders were—the friendliest they've ever met! Bekker's Catering really went above and beyond to make our event memorable. Highly recommend!

Bekker’s catering

Bekker’s catering was AMAZING! There was an issue with my venue not leaving enough space for the buffet inside, however Bekker’s was quick to accommodate and set up outside. The set up was elegant, the food was delicious, and the staff were amazing. Thank you Bekker’s Catering!

Best Wedding Caterer in Town!

If you need to contract a catering service for an event in San Diego, CA, look no further than Bekker's Catering. They have been voted the number one catering company in town and have won Wedding Wire's Couple's Choice Awards for the past 7-8 consecutive years.

My husband and I began looking for catering companies a year before our wedding date on 09/30/2023. We used The Knot to book tastings. From the get-go, we knew Bekker's was on the top of our lists for the following reasons: 1. transparent pricing - all package costs are posted on their website, and there are no hidden fees; 2. tons of catering food options; and 3. they offered additional services, such as wedding coordination services, making it a one-stop option for all your wedding planning needs. Once we did our tastings, we knew we had to go with Bekker's for our wedding catering. Not only did they have the best-tasting food, but they also offered the ability to add more things to our packages, such as the late-night snacks, boxed and ready to grab and go, for the end of our wedding event.

In addition to the food catering services, we also decided to hire Bekker's for our Day-of Wedding coordination, run by Kimberly and assisted by Makela. Kimberly was the best! Not only did she help put a list together for our master timeline and vendor information months in advance before the wedding, but she also attended our site visits for our wedding reception, kept in contact with all our vendors, and made sure that my husband and I felt cared for and taken care of the day of our wedding. We cannot emphasize enough how amazing it was to work with Kimberly and Bekker's for our wedding, and we would highly recommend any bride/groom to use their services, especially if you have a big wedding in San Diego.

Would Recommend in a Heartbeat

Bekkers did an amazing job on our wedding! We had a huge guest count but the team at Bekkers handled it so easily and took a lot of weight off our shoulders during the planning process with their positive attitudes and long-time industry experience. In addition to their catering services, we chose to use Bekker’s Complete Wedding Coordination and Kimberly was the best coordinator that truly cared about our vision and worked with us every step of the way! Kimberly has an exceptional amount of industry experience and a great amount of grace that really kept my husband and I calm and focused throughout the planning process. On the day of our wedding, Kimberly and her staff made sure that my husband and I were well taken care of. The single photo I have included doesn't do this vendor justice- they provided all table setting and so much more. Following our wedding, I have received many raving reviews from my own guests about how delicious the food was, how considerate their staff was, and how kind Bekker’s bartenders were! I would recommend Bekker’s in a heartbeat!!

Terrific Food and Service

Bekker's was recommended to us by our venue who had worked with them several times before on different weddings. The service staff was very friendly and efficient! Most of all, all of our guests really enjoyed the food! They were on time and worked hard, I would highly recommend to anyone needing catering for an event.

Fabulous food and service!

Bekker’s catering did such a fantastic job at our wedding in April this year! We searched around for a while looking for a caterer and finally landed with them, and I’m so glad. They were very professional. The tasting was fabulous and they laid out all the options for us for our day. We picked the ‘Elegant by Design’ menu and it was wonderful. The tray passed appetizers were SO GOOD! We loved the meatballs and the little ahi poke chips! We elected for family style platters for dinner and they were so fast with getting them to the tables. They made sure the groom and I got food as soon as we sat down and were attentive all night. They specialize in large weddings and their service is top notch! Highly recommend them for your event!

Amazing quality all around

We hired Bekker's as our caterer for our wedding on 5/20/23 and we also had Kimberly as our day of coordinator. To say we would have been extremely lost without Kimberly is a massive understatement. I was a DIY bride so to have Kimberly was life saving. Kimberly was extremely knowledgeable and helped us with any and every question we had throughout our process of planning our wedding. She gave us so much insight with how to make the flow of our day go smoothly. From the moment you first meet her, you'll feel comfortable right away. She's super approachable and you can just tell she's someone you're glad to have your back. Kimberly made sure our day was done with no hiccups. Our family all had compliments to give for Kimberly for her professionalism and expertise.
The food from Bekker's was immaculate! We did the traditional buffet with the tri tip steak and herb rotisserie chicken. I've never heard of chicken being complimented as much with any other catering I've experienced. The staff that was attending the wedding were all extremely kind and professional. I remember one incident where I was cleaning up some spilled drink from the dance floor at the end of the night and one of the staff immediately ran over to take the rag from me and say she'll take care of it so I don't have to even though they had pretty much already finished packing up their chairs and equipment.
There's literally not enough words for us to say with how grateful we are to Kimberly and the team at Bekker's!

Still drooling over the food

We chose the South of the Border for apps/dinner, and added on the ceviche shooters, and then the fresh banked churros for dessert. We live in San Diego, so we (both us and most of our guests) are definitely very familiar with delicious Mexican food, and let me tell you Bekker's hit the nail on the head. The food was absolutely delicious, everyone went back for seconds. We actually ended up with a decent amount of leftovers, and I was so worried it meant people didn't eat enough, but everyone I talked to over the next few days all raved about how delicious it was and how full they were. The Bekker's team was fantastic to work with, and answered all of our questions. They even assisted/advised on linen colors as needed. Do not hesitate and hire the Bekker's team if you are thinking about it

Amazing Vendor! Highly Recommend!

Look no further!!! My husband and I chose Bekker’s for our wedding and it was AMAZING! We have received SO MANY compliments on our wedding food, literally saying “It was the best wedding food I’ve ever had”! Our main dishes were the Herb Crusted Tri Tip and the Chicken Breast in Garlic Herb Sauce. Communication with Kimberly and Rita was always prompt, professional and efficient. They both worked with my husband and I to switch out different dishes from the pre-made menu to change to items we wanted. Outstanding caterer. You won't regret choosing them!

Bekker's did an amazing job at my daughter's wedding this past Saturday! The presentation was great and the food was so delicious! I would definitely recommend the Tri-tip carving station. So many guests mentioned how good the food was and that the Tri-tip was cooked perfectly. One guest commented that she has been to many weddings but this was the best food she ever had and I have to agree. They also provided items we forgot like the cake knife and plastic forks for our dessert table that really saved the day. I would highly recommend them for your wedding. They are reliable and easy to work with.

Caterer for LIFE

Covid wedding here! We pushed through with keeping our wedding date while maintaining the health and safety of all our guests. Our backyard wedding had all of the PPE bells and whistles. I’ll keep this short and sweet so that it’s read!
1. The proof is in their pudding! They’ve been in the catering game since 1958. They have it DOWN!
2. Communication and Follow up is ALWAYS timely. They crossed all of my T’s and dotted all of my I’s with a smile.
3. In the midst of the pandemic we were scrambling for ideas on where we could host our canceled winery wedding and looking for the safest options to serve food. They were quick to provide a variety of creative ideas. Being malleable is very important for the success of any business.
4. The food is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. They have a setup system followed by food delivery to maintain the quality of the food.
5. Ask for Barb! Her customer service is some of the best we’ve ever experienced. She made us feel like family and I will forever be grateful for everything she did to make our wedding day perfect.

Best Bang for your Buck

I LOVED Bekker's for our wedding. My first impression of Bekker's was our liaison, Tatiana. She is spectacular. I was overwhelmed looking at everything online, so I gave Bekker's a call. She was so courteous and thoughtful. She walked me through many options and even showed us other options that may be a better value. I couldn't believe how much she helped me get focused.

When we decided to book Bekker's, I had a lot of specific needs. They went above and beyond to fulfill all of them. They sliced a cake we got from another vendor, and passed an Hors d'oeuvres for us.

I love that Bekker's made sure everything on our day was perfect! Thank you so much!

Very good food

I went in for the tasting of Italian food. We had chicken cacciatori and penne pasta. They were both delicious. I am and will recommend them to anyone looking for catering. They have prices in all ranges. I am working with a strick budget and they were able to meet my needs.

Great service - delicious food!

Our food was hands down - THE BEST! We chose BBQ because it's one of our favorite types of foods and fit in perfectly with our backyard wedding. Ribs, chicken, baked beans, corn on the cob & cornbread was so plentiful for the low cost. They were also so accommodating when we needed to add vegetarian meals for our guests and even took my calls the day of and brought additional for last minute vegetarian guests.

Best Food, Service, Wedding Planner and Experience

Our first appointment was the food tasting, we were sold in two minutes, next came booking Tatiana as our day of wedding coordinator, but she went above and beyond the one day. She took care of so many details, took all my calls, emails and texts and made the planning such a smooth experience. If she wasn't my planner I would've invited her as a guest. The food, especially the cheese ravioli was amazing! All of our guests are still talking about it. I'm just waiting for the next even where I can use Bekkers and Tatiana again. Look no further, their positive feedback on all sites is true! They are the best, most professional, delicious, prompt, customer friendly catering I have ever experienced. I did a lot of research before finding them and their affordable prices are also worth every penny. They made our wedding so special and memorable.

Great Caterer!

Bekker's Catering was recommended to us by our wedding venue, and we're really glad we chose them to cater our wedding. We decided to do the "Greek Goddess" menu, and the food was yummy. Our guests raved about the tzatziki sauce, and our vegetarian and vegan friends enjoyed the veggie kabobs. They were also super flexible and worked with our budget. The staff was easy to communicate with and responsive to my questions via email. They were affordable, professional, and the food was great!!!!

Super flexible

Food was the thing that took the longest for us to figure out, but Bekker’s was perfect! Our guests couldn’t stop raving about our food (we went with barbecue), and they made sure that we were taken care of before everyone else. They allow you to add guests and make changes to the menu up until a week before the wedding, which was perfect for us. We did our desserts through them too, and the cobblers were delicious. We were even able to add some last minute heaters that made the outside portion of our venue nice and toasty. We highly recommend working with them.

Great Food

Their food was amazing! We went for the budget menu and added veggie kabobs, and it did NOT taste like we were on a budget! They were very helpful during out tasting and accommodated our special requests perfectly. The groom is vegan and they were able to make everything (except the chicken) vegan friendly! We got so many compliments saying this was the best wedding food they've had. I also got to take the leftovers home, which is always a bonus!

Excellent caterer -- highly recommended!

We found Bekker's Catering through Yelp. We were so happy to have went with this excellent catering and setup/breakdown company, as everything went extremely well and our guests loved the food! We only have great things to say about our experience with Bekker's and would highly recommend them to anyone. The staff was easy to communicate with and were very responsive and helpful. They were very affordable, responsible and we enjoyed the delicious Mexican fajita / taco bar. Yum!

We hired Bekker's for our wedding in May 2018, 130 guests, and needed full service, including food, bartender, rentals, and day of coordinator. My wedding day could not have been more beautiful, relaxing, and AFFORDABLE. If you need a coordinator, ask for TATIANA PENIX!!!! I felt like I was planning my wedding with a best friend. She was so sweet, answered EVERY txt, email, or call within within hours of my calling, so organized, attentive, all her advice and recommendations were spot on!

I used Bekker's for my wedding on April 22, 2018. We had our tasting with them in August of 2017. My venue recommended Bekker's - but upon hours of private research i had decided I wanted to use them. If you want choices, well you definitely won't lack for choices with them!! (It's almost overwhelming how much food they have for you to choose from!)
For cocktail hour we had a stationary cheese station, and passed platters of shots of meat and fruit skewers. (Nice mix of heavy and light we felt.) We did a 4 station buffet for dinner: taco station (we chose fish and carnitas), potato bar station, salad station, and meat carving station. The fish was excellent - not dry at all which is very unusual for a buffet as it's hard to keep them good! My husband adored the carnitas - thought they were so flavorful. We had a huge Aussie presence so the taco bar was a particular hit. Everything about Bekker's food is superb - we had a number of people telling us it was the best wedding food they've ever had. Their BBQ sauce as well is a secret family recipe, and is some of the BEST bbq sauce we've ever had! If you want absolute bang for your buck - the most amount of food for a seriously reasonable price. These are the guys!

We also used Bekker's to hire our bartenders, serve the cake, as well as help with cleanup. My parents said that without Bekker's help for cleanup, it would've taken them hours. As it was they got out about 40 min after the wedding - and that was cleaning up everything!

Barbara was our contact from tasting to wedding - and she has more than 20 years of experience - so we felt very well taken care of.

They made sure we - and the bride and groom - were specifically served during cocktail hour and had the first plates of food - so they made sure we actually ate, which was amazing.

Would 100% recommend these guys to everyone as you literally cannot get better service or food!

I'm so glad we chose Bekker's to cater our wedding! The service was great and everyone was so professional. They have so many great options on the menu. So many of our guests let me know that the Italian food was delicious, especially the sauce that's made in-house! The best compliment, "The chicken didn't taste like all the other chicken I've had at wedding. It was tender, I could actually chew it." :)

We found Bekkers on wedding wire and we were so incredibly pleased on so many levels. They are very reasonably priced, and we really wanted to stick to a budget as catering can get so expensive. From the first tasting meeting, to quick communication and great food, it was such an easy experience and my husband and I were so grateful for that! The staff on the day of wedding was so professional and went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of as well as our guests. We ended up having lot's of left overs (Chicken, pulled pork and Roast Beef) and we enjoyed that for the next two days.

Bekker's Catering is simply spectacular, from our site inspection, event and even clean up, without hesitation exceptional service, delicious food, professional but warm and gracious to our guest. When the chef and crew left they even took the trash and our home was spotless, it was difficult to believe that we had just entertained 50 people. I recommend Bekker's and will definitely be calling them again, thank you Barbara and the entire staff. Many guests made the time to call me, even received thank you notes for our fabulous party! and yes...ask for your contact info!

From the minute we chose Bekker's for my son and future daughter in law's wedding, it was the best experience ever. Barbara walked us through every step of the way and felt like family not a business person. The tasting seemed more like a dinner party than a tasting, we had so much fun. We had them cater the rehearsal dinner food, (as well as the chairs and tables which they delivered and picked up at the wedding for us)all of the food was amazing down to the chips and salsa, for 20 people we ate like 40 ! Barbara called and emailed frequently just to touch base all the way to the day before the wedding . They supplied the most beautiful wedding arch complete with flower decoration that made the wedding pictures complete overlooking Coronado. The wedding started a little late and as soon as it was over the staff came to the lawn with roaming trays of appetizers since they knew we were hungry. We had the salmon and chicken as the main course, it was the best ever and how they kept it perfect with us being fashionably late I have no idea. Barbara even followed up after the wedding and we have shared pictures of the event and stories, she is truly one of a kind . Do not hesitate to have Bekker's cater any event , they are truly amazing .

Originally, Bekkers caught my eye because it was so affordable. However, the quality of food and classi-ness of presentation will have all of your guests thinking you paid much much more! Not only was the food wonderful and the price right, but the service was exceptional...above and beyond. From the tasting to the preparation, to the day of delivery, Bekkers was perfection. At the beginning of the reception, a server came to my husband and me to see if he could make us up a plate of food, as we were busy greeting guests and may not get to the food. So thoughtful!

Having good food for our guests was one of our biggest concerns for our daughter's August 2016 wedding. Keeping cost under control was also important. Of the caterers we contacted, Bekker's was the easiest to do business with, the most responsive, and offered the broadest selection of prices and services. We were planning from across the country, so we appreciated Bekker's great service, communication, and flexibility. We met repeatedly with Bekker's to evaluate food options. Through many months of planning, we changed our menu and options frequently. Barbara was always patient and professional in assisting us, making helpful recommendations, guiding us through the process, and making sure that every detail was covered. We opted for Tri Tip, Boneless Chicken Breast in Mushroom Cabernet, Roasted Red Potatoes, Steamed Fresh Green Beans Amandine, and Spring Mix. Gluten-free and vegetarian options were an important requirement. Bekker's handled everything superbly, and the food was excellent. Using Bekker's for table and chair rentals also worked well for us. Bekker's was experienced with our venue, Hazy Meadows, and helped us plan accordingly. We hired Lacey from Bekker's as our wedding day coordinator. We initially hesitated to hire a coordinator, but we were sure glad we did. Lacey was fantastic and enabled us to focus on our friends and family instead of the logistics. Thank you so much, Bekker's. You helped make a perfect wedding day.

We booked Bekker's for our wedding and we couldn't have asked for a more perfect evening. All the food was delicious and all the staff was awesome. The day of coordinator, Barbara, really went above and beyond what was expected, which took a lot of stress off of us so we were able to enjoy the wedding without worrying about anything. She worked really great with all the vendors (DJ, photographer, officiant) and guests to make sure the ceremony and reception went well. Barbara even showed us how to do a few dances. I received so many compliments on the food and how great the staff was from my guests. I definitely would recommend Bekker's for any event and look forward to working with them again in the future.

Bekker's catered our wedding this weekend and everything was AMAZING! We worked with Barbara and Olga to plan our meal and from the start they made us feel comfortable and welcome. The provided everything as promised and then some! Their serving staff was top notch - they worked like a well-oiled machine, setting up, serving, cleaning up and packing up leftovers for us to bring home. And the food - oh my gosh! The food was fantastic. We got SO many compliments on the food. My oldest brother was so impressed with the tri-tip that he asked the staff if they ran a restaurant he could go to so he could add them to his list of favorite places! (Sadly, no restaurant - just excellent catering). And considering all that we got, the meal was very reasonably priced. We couldn't be more thrilled with the way our reception turned out. Thank you so much to Bekker's for the excellent service and high quality dining. It was a pleasure working with you and our reception went off without a hitch!

Bekker's was amazing in their customer service, professionalism, and the food was amazing! Barbara continuously checked in with me the months leading up to my wedding. Both Barbara and the rest of the staff were very easy to get a hold of and always offered to go the extra mile. The San Diego Chapter of the Women Marines Association used Bekkers for their 73rd Anniversary Celebration luncheon at the Veterans Village of San Diego on Feb. 20, 2016. Ordering was easy, quick response with the proposed contract, as well as a needed change to the contract, catering service was excellent, and the food was delicious and enjoyed by all. Almost every single person at my wedding made a point to tell me how great the food was! I have worked with Bekker's before on previous events, so I knew the food would be amazing for my wedding, and they blew me away once again with their service! I rented my linens through Bekker's as well, so they were there early enough to set those up, and then back at just the right time to have the appetizers set up and ready to go, and then again with the buffet for dinner. Timing is everything with a wedding, and they nailed it, all while being almost unnoticeable in the process! The foods that were hot were hot the entire time, while the amazing fruit display held up beautifully! I had a server personally cater to the groom and myself to make sure that we got food and drinks whenever we needed them! Bekker's is a smaller, family owned catering company that takes a lot of pride in what they do, and that really showed throughout the entire event, even to the timely cleanup. The entire process was great, as they are easy to get ahold of, every single person is available to help you, and they make changes and accommodating you the easiest thing! I will definitely be using Bekker's again for future events :)

You cannot beat Bekker's for the price. I had a large wedding (250 people) and they beat out every other caterer's price for the stations that I wanted by $5000. They were completely willing to work with what I wanted and I was floored by how well they coordinated their table decoration with the New Year's theme of my wedding without even asking. The food was always hot and operationally it was completely flawless. Olga also did a fantastic job of finding my husband and I and making sure that we had food to eat the day of.

Julie is amazing! Hiring their company to help out with our wedding was the best decision ever, I don't think we could have made it without her. Julie is super organized and has everything under control, but still remains down to earth and relaxed throughout the process. She is very professional yet friendly and all guests at our wedding loved having her around. She is quick to answer emails and questions, and always comes with great advice or new ideas. On the day of she took care of everything: setting up table decorations, coordinating with vendors, managing the timeline, making sure guests were having fun and cleaning up in the end. We could focus on enjoying ourselves and trusted her 100% to take care of the rest. I can highly recommend both the company and Julie!

My now husband and I went to see them for a tasting in January after becoming engaged. We met the owner Olga who was very personable and friendly and Barbara who did our tasting with us! The food was amazing. Bekkers is very affordable but the nice thing is, they do not sacrifice quality or taste (or portion size) at all. We had their California Cuisine menu!

We booked with Bekkers on the spot and also ended up hiring Barbara as our day of coordinator after falling in love with her. She is amazing and had experience working events at our venue and we knew that she was a firecracker who would keep our wedding running smoothly.

Through out the 8 months between booking with them and our wedding, Barb would check in with me about once a month to see how things were going with the planning and how my fiance and I were doing and the month of when it was coming down to the wire (and I was starting to freak out) she was always there to answer my million questions. I was VERY particular about how I wanted things done. I had detailed lists for the decor and set up for almost every corner of the venue, I had diagrams and pictures of how things should be placed and where. I am a total control freak and do-it-yourselfer so it was really hard for me to leave it all in someone elses hands and not be able to see what I had been imagining and planning for so long until the day of.

I have to say that everything was executed to perfection. I was overly impressed with how well it was all done and how beautiful it all looked. I guess I was expecting somethings to go wrong but it all was done so well. The set up looked amazing and every table and place setting was exactly how I had wanted and the food was delicious. Our package came with cedar planked salmon, chicken fettuccine pasta, salad, veggies ... and their Tri tip! OMG. All of my guests raved about how yummy the food was.

I don't usually use yelp for posting reviews on restaurants or services, but more for getting directions, and hours for businesses. But I decided I needed to sign up for an account so I can give credit to Barbara and the Bekker's Catering staff.

I recently got married and had Bekker's cater our wedding, and Barbara was our day-of coordinator for the event. I must say she took the reigns and handled all the details. This gave my wife and I, and our families a huge sense of relief. We were able to focus on other things and I don't think we could have done it without her!

There's a reason Bekker's came so highly recommended to us from our married friends, from yelp, from word on the street. They are AMAZING! My friends and family are still going on and on about the food, service, flow, relaxed and friendly staff, everyone so impressed on every level after our wedding last weekend!

From my first inquiry call to Barb, I was immediately made to feel like family, and given confidence that I was going to have a beautiful wedding because of their help. We fell in love with their staff and food after coming in for a tasting, and I knew this was the easiest decision we would make in our wedding plans next to saying Yes to my fiancé :) They have a huge, delicious menu to choose from, tons of add on options to make your theme come to life, and creative ideas and pricing to make it all a possibility no matter what budget you're working with.

So many little details go along with weddings and Barb has years of experience to make it all just perfect, we signed her up as a day of coordinator as well. But she was there for me every step of the way! I sent numerous emails and always had a response before the day was up, either offering advice or offering to handle it for me. They have great pricing for coordinator services and a list of vendors in San Diego with equally great pricing to make anything you want or need for your big day happen!

Come wedding weekend I was able to enjoy every step of the way because I knew our event was in good hands. Having Barb there was like having another Aunt running around! She wasn't just working her tail off making the venue look perfect, she also cared that we were all enjoying ourselves, handing out hugs and tissues...happy tears for our happy little family right along with us. The day was relaxed, heartfelt, and blew our expectations out of the water! She even took over baby duty during dinner for us!!

There's a reason why they get 5 stars, our day was beyond perfect thanks to Barb and staff!!

Bekker's Catering made our wedding reception absolutely perfect! We are so grateful for the fabulous food and service they provided us on our special day. All night and the days following our wedding reception we received so many compliments on the food! We had about 40 people at our reception at a beach house we rented following our beach wedding. Weeks prior Barb started all the details making sure to get everything perfect for us! She was so patient and I so enjoyed talking to her over the phone getting all of the details down! I never got to meet her but it was so evident talking with her over the phone how much she loves her job - I felt like an old friend of hers! On the day of the wedding Chris Hull arrived with her team to make sure that all was set up to our standards. From the food to the decorations everything was done above and beyond our expectations - she even made sure our cupcakes and topper looked fabulous with the decorations we provided! Everything looked and tasted much more than it actually cost! What a fabulous fun night - made even better since we didn't have to worry about setting up, serving or cleaning up the food! We used Bekker's catering for our wedding. We highly recommend them for any event. The food was outstanding and the staff was wonderful to work with. One week before our wedding Barbara called me and walked me through the events of our wedding. It eased my stress on how it was all going to come together. We mostly did everything ourselves so this made my day. Also, I had my own linen napkins. She suggested that I drop them off to them the day before so they can fold them for no additional charge. It really added a touch of class to the tables.

Delicious! Bekkers provided such an amazing variety of foods with such an amazing flavor, we chose to use them for both our rehersal dinner (50 ppl) and wedding reception (100 ppl).
Our rehersal dinner was pretty informal, as we had fajitas dropped off with all of the fixings. For the wedding reception we had breaded mahi mahi with mango salsa, smoke chicken and steaks grilled fresh on site! The sides were delicious too, fresh salad, grilled veggies, and a mashed potato bar. Our guest are STILL talking about our wedding food 6 months later and how they weren't ashamed to go back for seconds. I've never been to a wedding where everyone cleaned their plates! You can't get more bang for your buck ( I looked).
The team at Bekkers was very professional and accomodating. They were very helpul in assisting us with our menu and accomodating items for my gluten free guests. And if you're not a fan of wasteing food, they offer to pack up your leftover to take home; which was great for the after party.
I was super happy with the quality and service we received from Bekkers. And it's clear that our guests LOVED the food. Not only would I highly reccomend them, I'm trying to think of a reason that would require me to have a caterer, just so I can enjoy it all over again.

We used Bekker's for both catering and Day-Of-Coordinator. Not only were they super helpful and professional but they worked with our budget. I think the bill came out to around $3500 for 170 people which was amazing!

Catering:
~Food was great! We had the Southwest menu and a fruit/veggie platter.
~They had no issue with my mom cooking her own hors d'oeuvres for the cocktail hour to save money

DOC
~Barb was fantastic. She looked for any possible way for us to save money.
~I didn't worry about a thing the whole day. Barb not only kept the wedding moving and organized but also made sure my husband and my needs were all taken care of.

Overall wonderful experience!

Our bride and groom wanted "breakfast for dinner" and Bekker's did an outstanding job. The buffet line moved so efficiently and everyone raved about the food. The fruit display was out of this world. The chocolate fountain was a big hit. There was plenty of food and the price was extremely reasonable. They helped to make the wedding perfect in every way. Easy to work with and very professional! Great job!

We got our cake and cupcakes through Bekker's catering and the process was so easy. They are a fairly big company so there's always someone available on email or phone to answer your questions. We had to change our drop off time and they were very accommodating.

They are a great company! We met with Olga and she was very helpful. We went in looking for just a caterer, but she helped us with table layout, table cloths, charger plates, and day of coordinating. Our day of coordinator Lacey was amazing. She met with us beforehand and completely grasped our concept. I can be kind of a control freak but I was completely confident in Lacey when setting up the reception room. She did an amazing job and even brought ideas of her own! She kept everything running smoothly and made the evening stress free.

We use Bekkers for an annual family BBQ of 100-150 guests. . They have great food and are willing to work with us on our menus. We love that they set up and clean up seamlessly allowing us to enjoy spending time with our guests. .

We had the BBQ Wrangler Menu from Bekker's Catering. Everybody enjoyed the food. It was hot, flavorful, and delicious! Everybody was raving about the pulled pork and also the Swedish meatballs that we had as appetizers. Bekker's was extremely flexible during our planning process. We must have changed the contract about 10 times before we finalized it. They were very patient and adjusted the contract for us almost immediately.

We also ordered our cake topper and our cupcakes through Cupcakes by Heather which is part of Bekker's. We got the basic yellow, chocolate, and white cupcakes. They were moist and oh so good!!! They were displayed in a nice way too!

We also used Grace as our wedding coordinator through Bekker's. This service was such a reasonable price compared to other places that we looked at. We added Grace to our contract to help set up and break down the venue, as well as keeping things flowing during the ceremony. She did a great job setting everything up.

The only bad thing I can say is that I asked our coordinator twice if she would be able to do the chair covers and sashes for all of the chairs. She told me twice that she would be able to. Then, three days before the wedding, she told me that I should hire extra set up crew because setting up the chair covers would take 2-3 people. Luckily, I had some friends that were willing to do the chair covers. I understand that chair covers take a long time to do. But I asked twice if it's something that can realistically be done and I was told Yes twice and then at the last minute I was told that No, it can't be done. It was just extra stress that I didn't need right before the wedding. Advice for the next bride, make sure every single thing is in writing. I didn't have that in writing so I couldn't really give a complaint.

Bekker's bbq served our wedding reception, both the food service and the rental service. They have lots of choices for table/chair/table cloth as well as other supplies. We were so pleased to decide to use Bekke's bbq for all the cater and rental service.
The food was amazing, very delicious, we used their "Journey to Japan" and added the entree of their famous BBQ beef, that was so amazing!!! Very juicy and smoked very well!! Also, we changed the stir fried shrimp to deep fried shrimp, totally worthy!!! Our guests liked the shrimp as well as the beef, they kept taking the shrimp all the time. For the cocktail hour, we chose "shrimp cocktail" and "crab stuffed mushrooms", very, very, very tasty!!! As a bride, I ate a lot of food during the wedding, my maid of honor said I was the bride who ate the most she knew at the wedding, why not? The delicious food is not only for guests, but also for the host couple to enjoy!
Olga is very nice and thoughtful, she replied quickly for my every email and provide the best service. Our wedding reception was outdoor near the ocean, the weather was very nice, but the sunshine was very strong at the reception time (3 p.m.), Olga gave us a free upgrade -- tent!, free tent! I was very surprised to see the service people set up the tent at first as we did not order it to save the money. The surprise gift saved our guests, not being burned! How wonderful Bekke's bbq was! The tent made our reception perfect, our guests enjoyed the delicious food under the tent.
The service people were very professional, even though they arrived a little bit late due to the traffic, but they setup the table/chair very quickly, make sure everything as expected. The food serving table was very clean and tidy, their smile made our guest satisfied.
The plenty of choices, flexible combination, professional service, sweet promotion, unbeatable price, thanks Bekker's bbq to give us a perfect wedding!

My Grandma and I went to the San Diego Bridal Bizarre and Simon from Bekker's Catering found me. We were about to leave because his booth was so busy. They were giving out samples of tri-tip that smelled so good. He came around and gave us both a sample. It was amazing and just what we were looking for, for our rustic wedding. They were very quick to respond and always answered the phone. The service and food had all 145 of my guests complimenting. Someone was always asking if we needed anything during our dinner. They were awesome!

I held my wedding in a park and Bekker's was perfect for the task of setting up my ceremony and reception and feeding my guests with quality at a reasonable price. My guests are the type to prefer quality food without too much frill. Everyone was pleased with the selection and thus I highly recommend Bekker's for an elegant option to catering for a budget sensitive bride.

Bekker's hit a home run with every aspect of our wedding!

The food at our wedding was OUTSTANDING! I guess I am a weird bride because I actually DID eat at the reception. Not only was the food completely delicious - but it was light and healthy enough so that I did not get that awful feeling of eating a heavy dinner (even though my plate was full to the brim!).

A big surprise to me on the day of was the display. Everything was SPECTACULAR! We had a medieval wedding and while I did ask them during the planning phase to do what they could in that regard - mostly I relied on my other vendors to add to the decor. But I was so impressed with how totally awesomely the display fit with our theme - it was breath taking and exactly what we wanted.

They were helpful and professional throughout the entire process. The planning process was pretty painless - they addressed every question and took care of every detail. Plus every staff person that I talked to was so helpful and friendly - from our very first tasting, to the frantic day-before calls, right up until being served at our wedding!

Great food, perfect display and awesome staff!

Bekker's was a dream come true for my wedding planning. I had no idea what I was doing and they guided me right through it. They were helpful with everything and they pretty much handled my whole wedding. The food was good, the servers were wonderful and Marla was so helpful. I highly recommend this company. They can pretty much provide any menu you like and were very responsive and flexible with any requests I had. The only problem had was with the furniture company they work with, but everyone at Bekker's was wonderful.

West Coast Catering prepared and served food at our wedding September 12th. We chose steak, chicken, mashed potatoes, steamed veggies, Caesar salad, bread, and cheese raviolis as our dinner option. Everything was soooo incredibly delicious!! They arrived on time and set everything up on time and were so prompt and courteous with all of our guests. One thing I would recommend is to stick with their specialties. We sampled their Mexican food, and it wasn't any good. The beef and chicken were to die for though!

We researched several vendors before choosing West Coast. They had the best prices, the best quality, and the best options. I would highly recommend West Coast Catering for any event!

Olga(the owner) was so straight up with me. I explained the tightness of our budget and she helped me to pick out the proper menu with all the amount of people we had to feed, well she helped me manipulate the funds until we had every bit of detailed ordered andwhen it came down to one week left, I had to change the whole menu and the original order had to be changed by about a few hundred dollars. Well Olga is quite an honest woman, she didnt take advantage of my wants and needs, and she put the business side of things aside and related to having a tight budget and well she made it all very reasonable for us to handle. The day of our event the catered food arrived promptly and boy did it taste fantastic!!! Here's the best of all the kickers.... There was so much left over that we had to send everyone in our Wedding party home with huge trays of delicious foods. You wouldn't regret hiring this company for your catering services. Wonderful family business!!!

Our contact, Kevin Mitchell, was great to work with at Bekker's Catering. We originally called Bekker's because of all of the menu options they offered. We were looking for buffet style and they had some themed buffets that sounded great. Their prices are very affordable and they are willing to work with the budget you have. The day of our wedding, the food ended even better then the taste testing! Our venue, rooftop, is challenging for a caterer, and Kevin and his team worked so hard for our event and it showed. The display was gorgeous and our guests loved the food.

Bekker's Catering was fantastic! Right from they beginning they asked us what our vision was for our wedding meal, and worked hard to meet our needs. When it turned out that we asked for a side they didn't ordinarily make, they went above and beyond to work with the chef and make something that ended up being one of our favorite parts of the meal. Not only was the food delicious, but the service was excellent, both in the preparation stage, but also during the wedding itself. The staff jumped at the opportunity to serve and anticipate our needs.
We rented various table items including tablecloths and charger plates, in addition to having them handle the beverage station and bar. We appreciated that not only were the stations laid out well, but they also brought along decorations that coordinated with our style.

I absolutely recommend Barbara and her staff at Bekker's if you are looking for worry-free, professional, personal and excellence all around! We hired them to do both the rehearsal dinner and the wedding. It was totally stress-free. Many of our guests said this was the best wedding they've attended in a long time. We all know that food and drink are so important to a successful event. Barbara made it all happen. I recommend hiring her for the day-of and just enjoy. Her attention to detail was so appreciated.

From the moment I met them, they were incredibly responsive and diligent, and they were honest about their experiences with some other local venues and vendors--which was INCREDIBLY helpful. Bekker's was a dream come true for my daughter’s wedding. There were so many choices and flexible combinations. The food was very delicious, the servers were great and Barbara Canizales, our coordinator, was excellent. Right from the start, my family hit it off with Barbara. She was so nice, friendly, funny and helpful. We felt like she was part of our family right from the start. She was scheduled to do another wedding on my daughter’s wedding day, but Bekker’s was able to accommodate our request for Barbara to be our day coordinator. What I loved about Bekker’s from the start was that they were so reasonable in price compared to other places. They had all their prices on their web site – something I did not see on any other wedding catering sites. I felt comfortable and confident about them right from the start. We made some changes to the menu, but Bekker’s didn’t seem to mind. I was told early in our business relationship that right up to a few days before the event they would be flexible.

Whenever we called Bekker’s, someone always answered the phone and everyone was always very helpful. They would pull up our file on the computer and take notes so everyone was aware of any updates. Bekker’s recommended a rental company for all the furniture we wanted, and we received a nice discount because it was a Bekker’s referral.

All our wedding guests commented on how everything was so beautiful and how good the food and service was. From the first phone call to the AMAZING wedding day, we were extremely pleased. Everyone was so professional. There was plenty of food and so many options for our guests. Looking back at all the photos and videography, my daughter had a smile on her face throughout the entire event.

The thing that stood out to me the most about Bekker’s catering was their affordability for their quality. In researching caterers I found them to be one of the least expensive. My husband and I did a taste test with them and the food was awesome. Since the wedding, we have gotten so many compliments on the tri-tip. They are quick to respond to emails and very flexible with updating our quote. I also liked how Bekker’s catering offered so many options a la carte, such as water service, a champagne toast, etc. It helped us to stay within our budget by selecting only the things most important to us, instead of a package like other caterers offered. They were very professional on the big day and set up in a timely manner. My only complaint was that they were not clear with us what had to be returned from the bar. We left a few of their coolers at the venue unaware we were responsible for returning them.

I recently hosted a post-wedding brunch in San Diego for my daughter and her new husband. Because I live in Houston, I was unable to meet with caterers or taste the food beforehand. I originally went with Bekkers because of the price and the prompt responsiveness to all of my concerns and questions. Wow--I am so glad I did!!! I was so impressed that Linda and Christina arrived on time and set up a beautiful brunch. The food was very attractive, delicious, and plentiful. We had many compliments on the Quiche, especially. The baked goods were fresh and tasty. But most of all, Linda was organized, friendly, helpful, and professional. She even went beyond expectations in helping us cut a wedding cake; we had no idea how to do it neatly. Christina is one of those employees that one might not notice because she is very quiet; but she is a hard worker and was constantly moving and anticipating our needs. Both women were a pleasure to have in our kitchen. As if this was not enough, they left the kitchen in clean and sparkling condition. Thank you so much for making our event wonderful and worry-free!!! It was exactly what I hoped for.

I wanted to say thank you for helping make our not only one, but two events in the last 7 days a success.

I found your company on the web two weeks ago, you were very professional and prompt in any questions or services that we needed. Not only was our March 10th event a huge success we ended up calling you the very next day to help cater our boys wrestling banquet 5 days later.

Along with you, I wanted to make mention of your staff. On Saturday evening Jen, Doc and Johnny were our servers and WOW... all three we just awesome. I was extremely busy during the party making sure that 50th birthday boy and girl were taken of and your three staff members not only took care of the food they took care of me. They checked in with me throughout the party, they plated food for both my husband and I, brought it too us and checked in with us periodically throughout the party to see if we needed anything. While my husband and I were helping host the 100 guests, your staff was hosting us.

The party went so smooth and the food was so delicious that we booked you for a second event in the same week. Last night while I was unloading my vehicle getting ready for our banquet Jen & not sure of the gentleman's name working with her spotted me in the parking lot. They had already set up and were just waiting for us to give them the green light to serve the food. They both approached me in the parking lot, Jen even called me by my first name, and offered to help unload my vehicle. The gentleman carried a cooler for me and Jen helped as well.

Your staff is a reflection of your company and you should be proud. Attentive, professional and personal all in one. I give you and your staff 5 stars. Thank you for two successful events in one week and please thank your staff members for me. Sometimes it’s the staff that can make or break a business. These 4 employees are top notch and should be commended for their hard work and professionalism.

My best friend will be contacting you for her husbands 50th birthday in April.

Please pass on my thanks to your crew, I looked for Jen last night to give her my thanks, but I missed her. They were so quiet I didn’t even see or hear them leave.

Great service and good food. We went with one of their buffet options, which they served. Bekkers had a staff member plate food and deliver it to our sweet heart table as soon as we sat down to ensure that we got a chance to eat at our wedding. They also cleaned up the food and plates before heading out.

To keep to our budget, Bekkers has several price options for renting plates, silverware, glasses and linens, as our venue did not provide them.

We were on a strict budget, and Bekker's was right up our alley! When we went in for our tasting, they were friendly, sat us right away and immediately offered menus in case anyone wanted something that wasn't part of our tasting. My brother and nephew ended up getting dinner off the menu, and they included it in the tasting and didn't charge us for the extra dinners.

I booked them about a year in advance. Any time I had a question or anything, I would email them, and get a response immediately. The day of my wedding, my food was delivered to my reception site on time, and everything was wonderful! We went with the Italian menu and I had so many compliments on how wonderful our food was! Everything was perfect. I have already recommended Bekker's to several friends and I would definitely use them for any parties I may have in the future! They are wonderful to work with and I never had to worry about anything! It was one of the least stressful experiences of my wedding, they're wonderful!!!

Prices are competitive, and even if they are slightly more than other caterers, the food and service makes it worth a little extra because you know you'll get the best. I trust Bekker's, and they are our "go to" catering company. Professional, friendly and helpful staff, from the first contact to the end result. You know you'll get delicious food that is artfully arranged, and professional, efficient staff. , The only negative I've ever experienced was that someone didn't like their coffee.
