Made us all feel beautiful

We absolutely loved working with Bei Capelli. They did 8 bridesmaids, mother of the bride and bride for us. 10 people, and we all felt beautiful. Amanda did a fantastic job on my hair (bride) and it held all night! They were a pleasure to work with especially during COVID, I was still able to have my trial done in a mask! Would highly recommend!

Wedding Prep Bliss

Mia and Dustin came to our wedding venue at Inn on Peaks. They were timely, professional and very comfortable to be around. I can't express how BEAUTIFUL everyone looked and felt after our hair and makeup was done. I feel like the hair and makeup trial set my look up for success and made the day of so much less stressful. I'd choose Bei Capelli again in an instant for a wedding. Thank you!

Wonderful Hair & Make-Up Experience

Bei Capelli was great for wedding hair and make-up. We chose to go to the salon the day of, as there were only four of us getting hair and make-up done. Everyone had their own stylist, which made the process go quickly. Renee was wonderful for bridal hair and make-up. She was attentive during the bridal trial and was responsive to feedback. She made me feel comfortable and beautiful on my wedding day.

Amazing Hair & Makeup

I hired Bei Capelli to do onsite hair and makeup for myself and my bridesmaids. We had them come to my hotel which was super fun! I usually see Emma as my stylist so we have been working together on my look for quite a while. She came with Kaylee who I also know from the salon and they were total rockstars! Everyone commented on how great we looked. I loved that they didn't overdo our looks and we all looked like ourselves.

I loved working with Lisa to coordinate everything. She was always prompt to respond and so easy to work with. Bei Capelli is an amazing salon and they certainly hire the best of the best! I have never felt so beautiful and I loved my look!

Amazing!!!

Danielle from Bei Capelli did the hair & makeup for my wedding, she was absolutely amazing at her job and made me feel so beautiful and was also just a wonderful person to be around on the morning of a big day! The salon was easy to work with during the planning process, I highly recommend!

Exceptional service and amazing results!

I am super picky with my hair and makeup. I made sure to do a consultation and communicate and work with the stylist to get the perfect look for the bit day. She arrived on time to the venue and did airbrush makeup on me/hair as the bride as well as my bridal party's hair and makeup. She was conscious of time and everyone loved their result. Highly recommend.

Flexible and Top Quality

I was looking for a professional to do my (bride) hair and makeup offsite. All other places I looked at nearby had party number minimums I couldn't meet or they wouldn't go offsite for a reasonable price. Bei Capelli was able to meet this need but they also did everything just perfectly so I wish I didn't spend time researching other places when I was trying to find someone. If I ever need anything again in that area, I won't hesitate to go to Bei Capelli again.

Relaxing experience before the wedding

I used bei cappelli twice in the days before my wedding - first I took a bridesmaid for a mani-pedi and we had a fabulous time! The salon is gorgeous and very relaxing. The manicurist was very friendly and let me look at different color options on my nails before picking the final color.

I then went with the MoB and MoG and my 2 bridesmaids on the morning of our wedding for hair and makeup. We had an excellent time - each stylist took the time to listen and understand what each of us was looking for. We have very different hair types and they were able to accommodate all of us. The salon is a relaxing place to be. As everyone else finished before me, the salon sat me near a couch/lounge area where my bridal party could sit and keep me company while I was finishing. A friend brought in take out for lunch and they let us eat while there.

Beautiful Salon, Great Experience!

I would highly recommend this salon! Not only is the space beautiful and clean, everyone there is talented and the service is above and beyond. I had Emma do my hair and makeup for my wedding and I’ve never felt more beautiful in my life. She listened to all of my input and was fun to work with. Both my mother and mother in law had hair and make up done as well and they were very happy! They also had the most reasonable prices in the area! Definately will be coming back.

Everything was amazing. I opted not to do a hair trial and gave Angela just a vague idea of what I was leaning towards and she absolutely nailed it. My hair and makeup was flawless and perfect for my day, and all of my girls looked gorgeous as well. Couldn't recommend them more. Loved the whole experience.

Bei Capelli made not only me, but my entire bridal party, look and feel beautiful on my wedding day! Each stylist was dedicated to making all of us feel our best and Renee was amazing with pampering me as the bride. I would recommend Bei Capelli to all brides!

My experience with Bei Capelli was exceptional, from making the wedding day arrangements for my daughter and her nine bridesmaids with Marketing & Events Director, Lisa LaCroix, to our bride’s trial hair and makeup appointment, to the final results for all on the day of the wedding. The salon made it possible for the bridesmaids to bring lunch in for all of us while we were there, and we were in and out right on time. My daughter and each of her bridesmaids were very happy with their stylists, and they looked amazing!

My fiancé and I decided to elope to Portland - never having been - from NYC. I found great reviews for the salon so I reached out and was responded to politely, professionally and very quickly. I booked and wound up being pleasantly surprised by my experience. When I walked in, I was blown away - the salon is absolutely gorgeous! I was greeted by a friendly staff, had some coffee and chilled in the beautiful waiting area before meeting Amanda who was assigned to transform me with hair and makeup. ;-) I had my hair washed in this amazing room with dim lights, gorgeous decor, and aromatherapy. I was given a hot towel for my neck and sat in a reclining chair while I got a relaxing scalp massage. I felt so pampered and cared for. Amanda did an awesome job making me look like me, only better - without even meeting me until that day. She was super sweet and attentive and made sure I left the salon feeling confident and beautiful for my wedding. I only wish Amanda/the salon were here in NYC!

I have such great joy to be able to write this review for not only the owner of the Salon Melissa but my best friend! It made my day so special to have my best friend do my hair on my wedding day. I trusted her to work her magic as she always does on that day and it looked absolutely beautiful. I just want everyone to know that this salon is amazing and does amazing work because of Melissa and Nancy's devotion and hard work to the craft. Love you all and thank you for everything you do!

Hannah did a wonderful job with my updo. The first trial I did with her didn't go well- my hair quickly fell out and just didnt look like I'd hoped- but Hannah promised she'd keep working with me until she got it just how I wanted. The second trial went really well, and then her work on my big day was flawless. She was meticulous, even calling over other stylists to see if they could suggest improvements for one little loop of hair. It held up perfectly through heat, sweat, and a boat ride, and looked beautiful- I got lots of compliments. Hannah herself was wonderful- so sweet and fun- and the salon is really nice.

AMAZING! Jamie and Emma from Bei Capelli did hair and makeup or my wedding in York, ME. They came onsite and did hair and makeup for ~10 people. We had a blast with Jamie and Emma- it was like we had two of our friends in the room with us getting ready. All of the bridesmaids looked absolutely stunning and Jamie and Emma were able to do exactly what everyone wanted. We all felt like princesses thanks to them!

What can I say that hasn't already been said about Bei Capelli? They are professional, fun, and truly listened to each and every one of my ladies, including my mother -- which was super important to me. Lisa was a doll, and really explained every step of the process to me, and everything from the scheduling to the payment was simple. And she was so understanding when I said I needed some last-minute additions in terms of makeup and hair curling. The ladies at the salon were also incredible. My stylist only needed to look at, I kid you not, one photo of the kind of hair I wanted and one of the makeup, and she delivered a beyond gorgeous coiffure and quite possibly the best makeup I've ever had done in my life. Everyone came up to me to compliment my makeup and how beautiful it was. Thank you, ladies, for helping my beautiful ladies look even more glamorous; coming to the salon was one of the most fun ways to start the entire day (especially that reserved table and all that tea, coffee, and fancy cucumber water... yum)!

Two stylists (Angela and Charlie) came to my hotel to do hair and makeup for me, my sister, and my sister in law, and hair only for my mom and best friend. They did a phenomenal job! Everyone was thrilled with the results. Angela and Charlie were both very friendly and relaxed. Our room wasn't very large, but they made it work. My hair stayed put for the entire night and I loved my makeup--very polished, but still "me." Lisa was great and very responsive in scheduling the trial and the day-of services.

This place was amazing. I'm a "hair down, no makeup" kind of gal, and the best compliment I heard (many times) was that I still looked like myself. My mom and my bridesmaids all had their hair done as well, and everyone looked amazing. And finally, I would like to say a big thanks to the staff for deftly dealing with THREE updates to my reservation, when first one friend, then another, and then my mom asked to be added to the reservation over the course of a few months.

Loved Bei Capelli and Emma's work so much!!! She is so wonderful and did the most amazing job :) I felt like she was a friend doing my hair and make up. Bei Capelli is excellent and the perfect place for your wedding hair and makeup!!! Everyone was extremely easy to work with, they worked around scheduling despite multiple weddings to arrange the best times for me on my wedding day. We never felt rushed, it felt like it was all about us the entire time. The location is great and the atmosphere inside is classy and sophisticated yet also fun and extremely relaxing (just try the shampoo room!). We were offered coffee, water, tea, and were brought mimosas on the wedding day! (They offer the coffee, water, tea every day). Kelsey did my hair and makeup and it was perfect! (And stayed perfect all night long!). The products they use are great, they are high end and not only smell amazing but feel natural. You can purchase all of the products they use right there, which is great when you might need to touch up your wedding lipstick. Kelsey and the ladies that did my mother and maid of honor's hair/makeup made us all feel so special and made us look beautiful for the wedding day, They are all so skilled at what they do and somehow know just what would look the best. Wonderful company and I would recommend them for not only weddings and special occasions but for every day hair and makeup! Thank you Kelsey and Bei Capelli!!!

Emma (aka Emily) did an amazing job on the makeup for my mother and I. Neither of us wanted too much makeup and she was able to apply just enough to make us both look stunning. I received so many compliments on my makeup and it was all because of Emma. She is extremely sweet, personable and an excellent makeup artist - she took about 15 minutes for each of us for the trial run because she knew exactly what she was doing and what we wanted. I was hesitant about getting a makeup artist and was thinking of just having a friend do it but Emma's work was totally worth it! I will definitely use her again!

Ladies. Are you looking to have the most glamorous up do you've ever seen? Shine for miles, the kind reminiscent of 20s glam? I mean piles of gorgeous "talk about the town" hair? Look no further. I was lucky enough to be paired with Samantha who did my make up and hair, and let me tell you - I look flawless in every wedding photo. FLAWLESS. I can not believe how fantastic a job she did. I wanted a timeless, italian look and she nailed it. She also happens to be an absolutely lovely person as it turns out, and gave me tips on daily make up wear that I now use every day. I seriously get told now how fantastic my make up looks daily. My make up game? On par, thanks to the lovely Sam.

Lisa helped me coordinate setting up hair styling for myself and 5 others, as well as make up for myself! She was so helpful and responded quickly to any questions I came up with. My stylist, Adeline, did a wonderful job on my hair and makeup and I looked like the best version of myself. The location is beautiful and feels so luxurious and peaceful. The staff even brought us mimosas during our session on the day! Overall it was a great experience and I would recommend Bei Capelli to anyone!

I had a wonderful experience with my bridal party, mother and aunt at Bei Capelli for my November wedding. We did hair and makeup on site, and everyone loved their end results! Often I find that bridal party hair drags on all day since there is a low ratio of stylists to women – but at Bei Capelli our party of 10 was able to be matched 1:1 which meant that the girls only doing hair were done in a little under 90 minutes. Those of us who stayed for makeup were done about 45 minutes later. The salon had snacks and mimosas out for our group. We were in a large area with other customers, so the one thing to keep in mind is there is not a private area for the bridal party. We had brought sandwiches for lunch but there was nowhere to sit so we ended up eating them back at the hotel. I received many compliments on my hair and makeup (by Alana who was fabulous) and both lasted through the entire evening including 2+ hours of dancing. I highly recommend Bei Capelli’s services.

Lacey was wonderful! My trial run with her was great and she completely listened to my feedback. She was a very calming presence on my wedding day. Her and the other stylist made me and all of bridesmaids look like the best versions of ourselves. I would highly recommend her!

These ladies did an outstanding job preparing my bridesmaids and myself for the wedding.

I started seeing Lacey about 9-10 months before my wedding, just after I (stupidly) decided now was a good time to change my hair color. She saved my hair color and was a comforting, sweet person to be around, so I decided to talk to her about doing my wedding hair and makeup. She was very accommodating during our trial run and made me feel confident in having her for my big day.

She really cares about doing her best job and she making sure you are happy with your look. I highly recommend her, and the rest of her crew who are always doing beautiful things, at Bei Capelli.

My bridesmaids and I had our hair and makeup done at Bei Capelli, and they did an amazing job! They made the entire experience feel special from the very beginning by meeting us with mimosas and fresh fruit as we walked through the door. Their styling team worked hard to make sure we were all on our way on time.

I worked with Ana, one of the creative directors, and she does a fabulous job at creating the perfect look for a bride on her wedding day! The entire staff is very professional and accommodating, and I would highly recommend going to Bei Capelli for hair and make up on your wedding day or any occasion.

I can't say enough wonderful things about Bei Capelli!
Samantha, my stylist, was a DREAM. She is the perfect person to have by your side when you're getting ready; enthusiastic, kind, and cheerful. She listened during our trials and incorporated my feedback into the final wedding hair & makeup. And it all came out FABULOUS.... better than I even imagined. Her and Addy travelled down from Scarborough to York and created fantastic looks for the whole wedding party (and stayed on schedule!)
Lisa at the salon coordinated everything and was very responsive.
Highly recommend!

Bei Capelli fit me in during the peak wedding season in Maine and I'm so appreciative that Chelsea agreed to take me on. Not only that, but she did an AMAZING job! My hair turned out even better than I could have imagined. Chelsea was also very chill and calm, and we were just shooting the shit on my wedding day - it felt great to be in such a relaxed environment. I would recommend her and Bei Capelli to anyone who is looking for a wedding day stylist in the Southern Maine region.

The stylists at Bei Capelli are very talented- I loved my hair! They also worked with me during the trial to find the style I wanted. It turned out amazing. Everyone there is very professional and I never felt rushed by anyone. Great service!

I absolutely can't fault Bei Capelli on my wedding services from them. I was having a destination wedding which means I wasn't in town until two weeks before the wedding. Their wedding co-ordinator was great to work with over email and responded quickly to my enquiries. They were also very flexible with my requests for trial timing and in coming to my venue on the day. On the day of the wedding my stylist Alana (who was wonderful) came to the venue on time, did my Mum and Matron of Honours hair first, then mine. I was pleased with my trial but it looked even more beautiful on the day. Alana was relaxed, calm and gave me as much time as I needed. No forced chats or uncomfortable gossip. She was a great asset to the wedding morning. Alana then waited until I was fully dressed to help me put in my veil and showed my Matron of Honour how to take it out. My hair didn't budge all day (even with a convertible car ride from the church) and I recieved many many compliments on it. Excellent service. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Bei Capelli to any bride and hope to use them again myself for future special events.

I highly recommend Bei Capelli for your wedding day hair and makeup! Maine was a destination wedding for us, so we were relying on internet reviews and our reception site's preferred vendor list. We had a small wedding so I was looking for a stylist to travel to the ceremony/reception location to do just my hair and make-up. I was nervous that because it was just me and that I was out of state that I may not get as great of service as someone else, but I couldn't have been more wrong.

Lisa, the wedding coordinator, was extremely responsive to all of my emails over the several months leading up to the wedding. She was accommodating and understanding of my schedule especially for the trial as I had to fly in for the appointment. Lisa also quickly managed a last minute scheduling request 2 weeks before the wedding. She checked-in with me and ensured that I had what I needed leading up to and after the event.

Angela did my hair and makeup, and I couldn't be more impressed. She was so personable, professional, and fun! She took the time to truly understand what I was looking for and nailed it. Angela made the vision I had of myself for my wedding come to life - I don't think I've ever looked better. The guests complimented my hair more than anything else at the wedding, and that is one of the first things people have noticed in our wedding photos.

Bei Capelli did an excellent job accommodating 7 people in our wedding party at one time. They were welcoming, professional, and did an excellent job with our hair and make-up.

Bei Capelli is a chic place that had room for all seven of my bridesmaids, my maid of honor, the mother-of-the-bride, and myself to get our hair and makeup done the morning of the wedding. I had Lacy do my hair and makeup, and she was wonderful to work with - and she made me look absolutely perfect for all the pictures and the whole day! I thought the atmosphere of Bei Capelli was a great way to start the morning, and everyone enjoyed themselves. I highly recommend this salon for your hair and makeup, especially in large groups (as the prices are very reasonable as well).

Renee styled my hair for my wedding. She was fantastic to work with, can't recommend her enough. She was incredibly flexible, listened to all of my input and didn't stop working until it was perfect. My hair was just what I wanted and the curls really stayed all day, which was so impressive. She also cut my now-husband's hair just before the big day and it looked amazing. DEFINITELY recommend!

I hired Sam and Renee for my wedding for both hair and makeup. Both of them travelled to my wedding location and were an absolute delight to work with. The hair and makeup was very soft and natural. All of my bridesmaids looked gorgeous.

Love the crew at Bei Capelli! Getting primped with my bridal party was definitely one of the highlights of my day. They set up a semi-private section of the salon for us with a table, glassware, etc. for the snacks and beverages we brought to enjoy while getting our hair and makeup done. Each stylist nailed the vintage-inspired undos I wanted for the bridesmaids, and I am still in LOVE with my bridal hair to this day, it was SO perfect! (stylist: Sarah Berninger) Highly recommended for an exceptional experience.

Sarah and Emma did a great job for me (bride) and my sister/maid of honor.

I had been seeing Sarah consistently when I lived in Southern Maine and found her to be a very talented stylist and colorist. She is a professional person and very creative.

Emma was a bit younger but she did an excellent job with my sister, who is fairly exacting about her makeup.

I have heard people say that Bei Cappelli is expensive. On a day like your wedding, you don't want to cut corners on your face and hair. You are going to be photographed a zillion times. Both my sister and I looked great. You will be in very good hands at this salon.

Bei Capelli sent two stylists to my wedding site to do hair and makeup for me, my bridesmaids and my (now) mother-in-law. Everyone was thrilled with how their styles came out. I went for a trial a month before my wedding and disliked both the hair and makeup, so I was really nervous the day of my wedding. Sam had a great, calming presence, and listened carefully to my suggestions and concerns. My hair and makeup came out incredible, and were more perfect than I had imagined. Everyone at Bei Capelli was professional, punctual and efficient. I am so happy with their service and highly recommend Bei Capelli!

Hired them to come on site for my Buxton, Maine wedding & they were fantastic. Everyone's hair & makeup looked great, the women were fun to work with, the admins were great coordinating ahead of time and all went smoothly. Only problem is that (even thought they and all the bridesmaids, etc. were on time) ended up running over an hour late which really messed up our photo schedule. Other than that, no complaints! Great working with them & would definitely recommend them.

10/26, Wedding at Sebago Lake, ME

Mia and Brittany were FANTASTIC. They totally added to the fun and excitement of the day, but most of all made everyone, including me feel really beautiful. They took their time with everyone, while also sticking to our schedule and managing all the nerves (somewhat anxious) that come along with a wedding day. I got compliments all day on my makeup and hair and felt really special :)

I got married in Portland on August 15, 2015 and Renee and Sarah were onsite to help me and my bridesmaids get glammed up for the big day! Both ladies were excellent, and fun to have onsite. They were on time, got the job done ahead of schedule, and were total sweethearts.
At first I booked my wedding party to come to Bei Capelli onsite on the wedding day- but as the schedule developed for the day I realized we wouldn't have time to go to the salon and back- and when I let the salon know they were totally flexible with us and willing to come to our house we were getting ready at in Portland. So nice to be flexible! Lisa, who managed my appointments from the beginning, was easy to work with, sweet, and professional.
I will say that the price for each girl was steep- $150 for hair OR makeup, $200 for BOTH hair and makeup. I wish there had been a little variance in these prices- like maybe $100 for each service, because it did seem like a lot of money if you did not get both services. That being said all 5 of my girls felt beautiful and looked radiant. Renee put fake eyelashes on all the girls which was a fun added bonus :) My girls had a variety of hairstyles: up-dos, curly/down/beachy, braids.... and all looked great! It's obvious they don't specialize in only one sort of hairstyle which was great as all of my bridesmaids have very different hair types and styles.
Quick sidetone: When I met Sarah for my trial run she did a great job on my hair- then about 2 weeks later I completely changed my mind on what I wanted and she was still able to nail it (without an additional trial) for my wedding day. She is super calming, chill, and go with the flow, which was exactly what I needed on my wedding day.

I ended up in a situation where I needed another make up artist for my wedding with about a month to go. The staff at Bei Capelli were very helpful and set me up with a great person, Samantha! She arrived on location right on time and was very friendly! She made all the girls look great while still maintaining a natural look. Only negative thing was I paid more than I wanted too but I was just glad that they had someone available with such short notice!

Hannah was so easy to work with and Lisa, the manager, was incredibly responsive to changes in appointments and even hair and makeup locations (we had a last-minute adjustment two days before the wedding and it was handled without a problem).
My hair and makeup ended up looking absolutely beautiful, but I did have to offer some guidance to make the look a little more natural, as I had initially requested (at first, my eyebrow makeup was very heavy and made me look like a cartoon character and the lip liner was also too heavy). Hannah was very responsive to my requests and helped smooth things out. I also found that a lot of other vendors included a hair and makeup trial in their prices, but Bei Capelli does not.

In planning a destination wedding, I was not familiar with hair salons, stylist and make-up artists. I chose Lacey with Bei Capelli for hair and makeup, and I was not disappointed. During the initial trial and on the actual wedding day, Lacey was very patient as different styles were considered. She was also very patient and respectful of the mothers and grandmother of the bride. Her goal was to make the bride happy, and she accomplished that. Lisa, the Event Director for Bei Capelli, was pleasant to work with and she made every effort to accommodated our schedule.

The service day of for a wedding was EXCELLENT. The girls got all 11 of us in the chair pretty much at the same time. All but one stylist was mindful of time and got us out the door effectively. It was really perfect - Lisa (the salon's wedding contact) had set our expectations effectively.
Angela was awesome, did bridal hair and makeup, took my ideas and interpreted them really well. I loved the outcome.

Feedback:
- responsiveness was lacking - the wedding contact Lisa is part time, so if I needed a quick question answered, anyone on the main phone line refused to answer, and that would have been okay if Lisa's response was more prompt. It went at least a few days at times, and weeks at another. This is really only disappointing because if she only works with weddings, she should understand a bride's angst to get details solidified, and a few days response is a reasonable expectation.
- connection between front salon and wedding coordination: I had told Lisa I wanted to try extensions at my trial and the stylist had not been notified before my appointment
