  So I have to start this review by saying this - when my husband and I were on our honeymoon I asked him the one thing that was the most memorable from our wedding day. He said, "honestly, you were absolutely beautiful but I expected that...what I didn't expect was how stunning the ballroom was when you and I walked in by ourselves before our guests. It was amazing and better than I could have ever imagined - almost like a fairytale."
  
  Yes, that is what a guy said...let alone my husband who is the last person I would expect to say something like that.
  
  Shawn is without a doubt an absolutely creative and inspirational floral and decor designer. From the very beginning I told her what I was looking for and she absolutely 100% delivered (and more!). Is she expensive, yes she can be, but as my father-in-law (who paid for it) said - it was completely and totally worth every penny. We are still (3 months later) hearing from everyone how stunning our wedding was and that they have yet to see one more beautiful and detail oriented.
  
  Our wedding was in Washington, D.C. - and Shawn is located outside of Charlottesville (so say 3 hours south of DC)....she brought everything up and assembled it all in DC and you wouldn't have even known. My bouquet was stunning - my flowergirls, bridesmaids, everyone's flowers were beautiful.
  
  She created a branch like gazebo entrance into our ballroom - I mean I honestly felt like we entered into this enchanted world!
  
  I wish I could find a way to re-marry my husband again just so we can use Shawn! I highly highly recommend her and her work. But I will say this, she is a visionary....give her guidelines and trust her work...don't micromanage her. That is how I did and it was so less stressful and having that element of surprise was as my husband said, better than we could have ever imagined.

  Thankyou, thankyou, thankyou to Beehive Events for the wonderful job they did on the flowers for our daughter's wedding at Keswick Vineyards. From the beautiful hanging baskets at the ceremony to the bouquets, to the table decorations it was a wonderful presentation. I highly recommend them if you're looking for someone to take care of flowers at your event!

  Beehive Events created a wedding that was beyond my imagination. It was truly a dream! I knew I wanted to work with Shawn and her husband David based on previous design I had seen from other events. Their work is just stunning. After a brief meeting discussing basic colors and overall feel, I left it to Shawn to come up overall look, details, and design. Her vision was BEAUTIFUL. I'm so glad I left it to her because it was more amazing than anything I have seen or could have tried to explain. All of our guests expressed it was the most beautiful wedding they had ever seen and commented that the overall feeling was warm and intimate and romantic. Everything you could want! The decor set the tone for the entire event. Every detail was perfection. Beehive Events is THE company for personal, professional, perfection when it comes to setting the feeling for your event. THANK YOU BEEHIVE!

  ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS FLOWER ARRANGEMENTS! All of Beehive's floral arrangements for my wedding (centerpieces, aisle pieces, bridal bouquets, bridesmaids bouquets, etc.) looked BETTER than pieces you see in magazines. Seriously. Don't go with anyone else. Beehive is the absolute best. Very accommodating to your budget too!! They just make it all work for you. They're the best.

  Shawn is a floral and decor genius!!! We were married at Keswick Hall in Charlottesville in April 2010 and Shawn's floral arrangements, tent draping and decor were unlike anything I had ever seen. Our guests could not get over the space she created and are still talking it about -- the long long wooden farm tables (made by her husband David) with alternating tall and low centerpieces and candles everywhere. It was stunning beyond words. She also made a huppah for our Jewish ceremony that the majority of our guests expressed was the prettiest they have ever seen. In terms of working with Shawn, she was the BEST - always responsive to my emails and calls and she knew better than I did what I wanted when I tried to explain it! I highly recommend Shawn and Beehive Events - she is like no other! I miss working with her!

  Shawn's work for our wedding was stunning - she did a beautiful job of creating bouquets, bouts, centerpieces, etc, that represented our vision for the day in the most beautiful way possible. And the chuppah that she created for us was not to be believed... it was so lovely and made our ceremony feel even more sacred and special. Highly recommended for that alone!

  Beehive Events does absolutely beautiful work. If you're an easygoing bride who has an endless budget and doesn't want to deal with doing the flowers and decor (ha), then they are the perfect choice. I initially went with Beehive because I had a very specific vision in mind for our rustic-glam wedding. I was so excited after doing a consultation with Shawn, because she seemed to really get my vision. Not to mention her studio is to-die-for. Throughout the process leading up to the wedding, she was very unresponsive. It took a while for us to get a proposal, and when we finally received one, it was incorrect from what we had initially discussed. Once it was corrected, I was able to really see all of the details come together. It also took awhile for us to get a contract from them, which was a financial stress. There were a lot of things that were left untied until the very end. I am not a picky bride, and I don't like to micromanage, so I had faith that Shawn's creation would be similar to what we had discussed and what was on the proposal. On the day of the wedding, the table arrangements were not at all what we had discussed, and the flowers included a lot of colors that I had not mentioned. It still looked beautiful, but I wish I had checked in a few more times.

  The flowers and decor for our wedding were stunning. Shawn knows her stuff and did an amazing job of creating a beautiful, natural, artistic ambiance. We were married at King Family Vineyards, which has great, neutral space inside. Shawn built two enormous candle walls for us that helped to divide the dining space from the dancing space, and created a very beautiful backdrop in the room. We also rented banquettes and small tables from her to create more of a lounge feel in the dancing area. She sewed our tablecloths (we did muslin cloths with raw silk runners) and really pulled things together very nicely. That said, she was also my most difficult vendor to work with. I found her responsiveness to be spotty. We didn't receive a finalized contract until 2 weeks prior to the wedding, and even on that contract she still had things written like "Bride's Bouquet - exact flowers to be determined. Suggestion of (assorted flowers)". I am someone who is comfortable when things are very clear and spelled out to the last detail (preferably well in advance) so although it all came together really beautifully in the end, I have to say that walking into my reception space and seeing the bouquets on my wedding day, I had no idea what I'd be walking into. I could have done without the stress!! She did make my vision a reality though, so I would definitely recommend her results. It was the process that was trying at times.
