Becky was amazing! She knew everything about navigating a City Hall wedding: what to bring, when to get there, which entrance to use, and where to take the best photos. She gave great direction, made everyone in the party feel comfortable, and captured some great shots. We’re so glad we had her!

Literally the Best!

Becky is literally the best. We could not have had a better photographer for our wedding. We were so nervous to take wedding photos. We are a plus sized couple and were definitely worried about being photographed well. She did perfect. Instructed us on how to pose and made posing not feel so intimidating. She was also really great at blending in when roaming the room to take candid shots. I will continue to recommend Becky Brown Photography every chance I get. She was so great and the photos were so beautiful

Best micro wedding photographer ever!

We can’t say enough amazing things about Becky! We were recommended to her by our wedding venue, Big Delicious Planet, as she focuses on micro weddings. We did an engagement session with Becky after reviewing a few previous clients full wedding galleries and they matched the vibe we were hoping for our pictures. We also had a Zoom chat prior to engagement session to get to know her a little bit and confirm she was the photographer for us. Becky made us comfortable right away during engagement pictures and taught us smiling and posing techniques so we didn’t look or feel awkward. For our June 2023 wedding we scheduled Becky for 6 hours for first look, 3 photo stops throughout Chicago, and finally our ceremony + reception. She was great at communicating what we should be doing to capture pictures that made us and the City look great. We had a pre planned photo list for family pictures and she quickly called out groups from the list to make it was an easy process. We have gotten nothing but amazing feedback on our photos. We can’t thank Becky enough for capturing our day and giving us lifelong memories of the most perfect day.

$2,900 included engagement session and 6 hours of wedding day coverage.

Incredible Microwedding Day

We couldn't be happier with our choice to work with Becky for our tiny wedding day! As an out of town couple, we needed someone who knew their way around the city and could recommend other vendors. We also went through a lot of stressful experiences (date changes, wedding party issues, immediate family having flight delays...), so leading up to our wedding, we were pretty overwhelmed! Becky was such a warm, calm, and all around supportive presence. She made us laugh, carried my flowers/dress when needed, and fulfilled all our special photo requests. And the photos!!!! We got NINETEEN previews delivered the night of our wedding that just made us cry. We can't wait to see the rest, and would so, so highly recommend working with Becky and the Elope to Chicago team to anyone looking to have a smaller affair in the city of Chicago.

Change of Plans - No Problem!

Our original wedding plan was to get married at Chicago City Hall in August 2020. With Covid, City Hall was not offering the same experience and we decided to get married elsewhere. Becky suggested a few other places around the city and we ultimately chose South Pond in Lincoln Park. It was a perfect summer day, we were all sweating by end of our ceremony and pictures. Becky was amazing to work with. She felt like an old friend who was happy to work with my no so into photos husband! Although we chose Elope Chicago due to their City Hall Experience, I wouldn't change a thing even though our plans were changed. Thank you, Becky & Elope Chicago!

10/10 would recommend!

Where do I even begin?! First, I recommend following Becky's Elope to Chicago Instagram account! Throughout the pandemic, she was quick to keep us informed of the ever-changing COVID guidelines and what that meant for elopements/microweddings.

She is knowledgeable on all things Chicago! I live in Chicago, but the information Becky provided was invaluable. She offered wonderful recommendations on areas that are less crowded and more intimate for the ceremony location. She also helped me narrow down hotel options that were walking-distance from the restaurant where we were celebrating afterwards. She answered all my questions thoroughly, and her response time is quick. She is a great resource to have during the planning process!

Becky has this special quality that makes her feel like a friend you've had for years! I'm usually an anxious person, but Becky helped me feel comfortable and relaxed on our wedding day. Because of this, I feel like she truly captured our personalities through her photos. From her website and social media, I knew her work was professional and high-quality. But when we received our gallery, I was stunned!!! Looking through the album, I felt like I was reliving my wedding day -- the best day ever!

A lovely day

Amazing photographer and person!

If you are looking for the hardest working photographer in Chicago, you've come to the right place! Becky is down to earth, amazing at photography and will very quickly become a member of your family! Capturing your relationship during an engagement session or your big day should not be stressful, but that is so much easier said than done. Becky's personality helps to get the photos you are looking for and realistically assess the situation so you are able to enjoy the celebration you've spent so long planning! She is quick to adapt when things like weather or location maybe don't work out as you initially planned (trust me when I say we've seen it ALL with Becky from the heat to the rain to the snow!)

We booked Becky after she photographed my sister's wedding and we were very impressed by her photos and enjoyed working with her. She has since photographed our good friend's wedding in addition to our own. She is doing fewer large weddings as time goes on, so if you are planning a bigger celebration be sure to reach out early! If a smaller, more intimate wedding is your thing , even better! Our wedding was 200 guests and our second shooter, Carrie, was great to have with us (her photos are also amazing)!

Quality photography comes at a price, but Becky's pricing is truly on the more affordable end in comparison to many other photographers in the area and worth every penny. During your planning process you'll also find Becky's experience to come in handy in ways you may not have anticipated. She has great suggestions on additional vendors, timelines and even family dynamics (last thing you need is group photos causing a ruckus).

Lastly, her prints are amazing. I didn't believe it until I saw the difference of buying prints from her vs. printing on our own - but there's a noticeable difference. She will occasionally have a sale on prints so be on the lookout for those if you don't purchase right away!

Generous with her time and expertise!

Becky was such a wonderful part of our wedding day! When we got engaged, we knew we wanted a small wedding at city hall, but we had no idea where to start. Becky was incredibly generous with her expertise-- she had great suggestions about logistics, timing, and venues and shared that information with us as we were trying to make our decisions. On the day of the wedding, Becky was amazing-- she was kind and flexible and extremely generous with her time. She also helped keep our 7-year-old entertained by having him play "assistant" when she needed an extra hand. Best of all, our photos are absolutely stunning. Small wedding through Elope to Chicago

The best decision I made (other than marrying my husband) !

I hired Becky Brown as our wedding photographer via her Elope to Chicago website. My husband and I eloped downtown on a very cold day in October 2018. From the moment I inquired on her website her responses felt more like a friend trying to help a frantic bride try and figure out how to elope downtown that had already been through this. I had made so many changes and had gone back and forth on where to get married. She had shown me so many options in addition to her marketing materials and I owe it all to her as she was the one that pointed us in the direction of the small garden in Maggie Daley Park where we got married in October. My family still raves about her, and the great family photos we took. Her attention to detail was fantastic. I can't recommend her enough and I already had a friend from high school ask me if we eloped because they were interested in something very similar to what my husband and I did and I pointed them in Becky's direction.

Absolutely Amazing!

I am so happy that we had Becky as our wedding photographer! The very first time I chatted with her, she helped me determine the timeline for our wedding. On the day of the wedding, Becky and her assistant were both fantastic. They helped make sure everyone stayed on schedule and all the right moments were captured. Becky seamlessly captured our intimate wedding!

Becky photographed our August 2018 intimate wedding. Booking Becky was the undoubtedly the best decision we made during wedding planning. Truly, this woman is in the dictionary next to professional, conscientious, creative, and funny! From the start, we were impressed with how easy it was to communicate with Becky via email. She was so patient with our questions and offered suggestions that helped us with our timeline and overall event flow. The booking process was very simple and able to be done online (we so appreciated that!).

On the day of the wedding, it was such a relief to have someone as organized and calm as Becky! She followed the timeline we’d worked out together and got in all the shots we requested! My husband will even tell you that his favorite part of our wedding day was shooting around the city with Becky – mostly because it felt like were hanging out with a friend!

When initially looking at photographers, we were piqued by Becky’s style (contemporary, photojournalistic, creative – but not too sullen or overly edgy). When we received our wedding photos, we were thrilled that our photos reflected the “look” we were hoping to achieve. Bonus: The photos arrived in a timely manner and well organized! Becky – thank you! We so appreciate all the work you put into capturing our wedding day!

Amazing, creative, everything I wanted

I am so happy with Becky Brown Photography and Elope to Chicago. Everyone that has seen my pictures has said they all look “bridal magazine worthy” or “the best wedding pictures” they’ve ever seen. I agree! Becky hustled around at my very small wedding in a tight space and got so many great photos. I couldn’t believe them when I saw them. I didn’t remember her being in my face or constantly around, yet the pictures are from every angle and beautiful. She worked with our tight schedule and just totally crushed it! Oh and did I mention, we got married on a boat with background and lighting changing at literally every second? She is amazing. We absolutely loved the whole concept of "Elope to Chicago". Becky was fantastic and helpful. She really cared about our special day and helping us make it perfect. Becky is absolutely amazing! She is a very talented photographer as well as a very kind and caring person! Both are qualities you want and need for your wedding. We first new we loved Becky when we met her at my friend's wedding. She was everywhere she needed to be and was offering to take pictures of guests. Becky was great and went above and beyond our expectations. She made us feel super comfortable, she was organized and kept us on track. This was my second marriage and i remember having to ask my photographer in my first marriage to take certain pictures- I also had to remind him to photograph certain people. Working with Becky through her 'Elope to Chicago' business was amazing from start to finish. We were planning our wedding from overseas, and she was incredibly prompt and helpful with every aspect (she even helped us find our venue!). We couldn't have done it without her! Becky came recommended by a friend. The recommendation was 100% correct.

Becky was very responsive and very thorough with her preparation. We sent a few emails back and forth and had at least one phone conversation with Becky to go over what we wanted. We were a laid back couple, but it was comforting to know that Becky had everything under control.

Day of, Becky and her assistant were on time and ready to go. While we were finishing up getting ready they were shooting the rings and some other accessories. Once we were out in the city to get some shots Becky was very good at knowing where the best settings were and how to get us in to the right position. It was awesome to see Becky's passion for photography. We got so many amazing shots. We snuck back out towards the end of the reception to attempt a shot that Becky had been working on in her head forever. What we got was a cool photo where we were backlit just in front of the board of trade building in the loop. Becky was efficient at getting all of the formal family photos. I credit that partially to her preparation and partially to her ability to wrangle our families. Becky was also able to get great photos through out the reception and check in with us multiple times to make sure there weren't any specific photos that we wanted that she hadn't gotten yet.

After the event, Becky was able to get us a handful of photos that we could share online while we waited for the full set. The full set only took a few weeks to arrive, but it was nice to have a few photos to show people while we waited. Becky gave us a set of high-res images for printing along with images optimized to share on the web.

I have nothing but positive things to say about Becky. I would recommend her in a heart beat.

I could not have been happier with Becky as our photographer! Constantly professional and incredibly talented she is amazing! From our first meeting, Becky wanted to make our engagement and wedding pictures the best. The shots we got were absolutely beautiful! Becky excellently captured the personalities of my husband and I in our engagement shots. For our wedding, we asked for a blend of documentary/portrait styles. Becky's pictures perfectly met our expectations. She was a joy to work with. She even helped me with my day-of timeline when I was struggling! She goes above and beyond and delivers the best. She is also a pro with handling large families and wedding parties! Her range is amazing and she captured every moment of our wedding.

We booked Becky through her small "Elope to Chicago" business and all I can say is WOW! I still cannot get over how amazing everything went! We received our first preview photo a few hours after it was taken and the rest of our previews the day after. Everyone that has seen our photos cannot believe how great they look. Becky Brown was simply amazing to work with. She is incredibly organized, thorough, and a true professional. Prior to our wedding, Becky met with my (now) husband and I to get to know each other a little better. She then sent us a packet to fill out detailing each person or group that we wanted photos with. She thought of everything prior to the wedding, so there were no surprises on the actual day. At the wedding, Becky and her assistant kept the photos moving in a timely fashion while still getting all the shots we wanted. She checked in with us throughout the night to make sure we were ok. She even stayed late at the reception to get pictures of us on the dance floor! The Sunday after our wedding, we were so excited to wake up to a sneak peak of photos from our special day! I cannot begin to describe the beauty and perfection in these pictures! Becky has a true talent for what she does and is a complete joy to work with!

We loved working with Becky. She loves what she does and it really comes across. She works hard to get the right picture. Becky did a great job of keeping us informed and planning for the event. She listened to our vision for the day and made sure she incorporated it all. She had a schedule for pictures for the wedding and managed the schedule right on time. She captured a lot of fun pictures and most importantly all the pictures turned out great. I was surprised because I don't think I take good pictures. Becky went beyond the expected when she came to our house after the wedding to get pictures of the invitations and others details that I forgot to bring the day of. Becky was incredible! I hired her for her Elope to Chicago services because I wanted a small, intimate, no-drama wedding with only close family members - my husband and I have demanding jobs which unfortunately leave little room for free time. Becky was always very prompt and professional in our email correspondence, and provided comprehensive suggestions and ideas for our ceremony. The coordination of services with the officiant was seamless as well. On the day of the wedding she was cool, friendly, flexible, and professional. She had tons of ideas for different shots, and put me and my husband at ease so we didn't look or feel awkward for pictures. And oh my goodness the pictures turned out GORGEOUS. I know people who spent much more money on photographers than we did and I think our pictures turned out just as good or better. There was a good mixture of up close shots and beautiful distant shots that incorporated the Chicago skyline. The process of selecting and obtaining pictures afterward was easy as well, and arrived at the promised times. Overall wonderful experience with a professional and all-around fantastic person.

Our wedding was the third wedding that we've been a part of that Becky and her team photographed. Becky and her second shooter were amazing at all three weddings and we love our pictures! Becky was very thorough in talking to us about our wedding and what we wanted from our photographer beforehand to ensure that we had a great experience. Becky suggested a beautiful forest preserve where we took our wedding party pictures, ran our timeline all day, took fantastic "golden hour" pictures, organized our giant families for formal pictures, and was generally loved by all.

I would recommend her to any and all of my friends and family for their weddings.

Becky is one of the most amazing vendors to work with! She is incredibly responsive and you can tell she absolutely loves what she does! As far as her talent, her photographs speak for themselves. They are incredibly beautiful and artistic without being heavy and dark. She truly captures the joy of the day. From the first time we met her, we knew that she just got us. She really took time to get to know us during our engagement shoot. On our wedding day, Becky and her second shooter could not have been more helpful! Our priest ran over, giving us only 15 minutes for all of our church photographs. Not only did she handle the hiccup incredibly gracefully and professionally, but she totally pulled it off and we got every picture we wanted within the time. It was a beautiful and perfect day and I am so glad that we chose Becky to capture it. Becky was the photographer for my wedding on June 5th, 2015. We booked her in 2014 and she shot our engagement photos in August of 2014 as well. She is very professional and made me feel extremely comfortable. She is literally the only person I've encountered who will answer your emails within 5 minutes, no exaggeration, (unless she's out of town visiting family or for work and has limited access to communicating with clients, which isn't very often). She had great, artistic ideas during our engagement shoot and during the big day. She's GREAT with getting a big group of people to focus and cooperate, which we all know can be very difficult when there are multiple personalities AND alcohol involved. She is very informative with her packages, and offers the option of payments if you don't want to pay it all in full, which is what I did (I found that choice less stressful). She has a sunset app on her phone so she can check what time the sunset will be on your big day and try to get the bride and groom outside for pictures. Unfortunately, it didn't work out for me and my husband because of where the sun was setting and where she needed to take pictures, so instead she improvised and took some awesome night shots of us in a gazebo on the banquet hall's grounds. She is also very scheduled on getting your pictures to you. Her presentation of product and herself is well put together and very professional, I'm so glad we chose Becky for our big day! :-) If you're looking for a photographer who is personable, flexible, experienced, and does great work, Becky is the photographer for you. She's already booking up for 2016 so you might want to hurry up!

Becky was absolutely amazing! She was a joy to work with and extremely professional. She is super funny and made us comfortable right away. She always had suggestions for the perfect pose and even when we were hesitant, I'm glad we listened to her because the pictures came out incredible. She captured every moment on our wedding day and she didn't miss a beat.

The pictures were ready only one month after the wedding. I have had friends who have waited 6 months or more for their wedding photos. They couldn't believe that my awesome photographer had ours ready so quick. She also did a cute viewing party with champagne. What a nice touch!

We used Becky Brown as our photographer for both our engagement pictures as well as our wedding pictures. We absolutely could not have been happier! First of all, Becky is a pleasure to be around. She is a lot of fun and helps make both the engagement shoots and the day of pictures great! You will never have any of those awkward shots because she ensures you feel comfortable in whatever you are doing. She does a great job preparing for shoots to ensure pictures can be taken at all the locations and with all the people that you want.

Becky also does such a fantastic job in capturing everything in her photos. From the tiny details to the entire reception, she was able to capture it all. She has such a great imagination and I was completely blown away with some of the ideas she came up with for shots at our wedding. She has no problem carrying around her step-stool, getting dirty or running around a hotel in order to capture a great shot.

Becky is also really timely in providing photos after shoots. We were able to get our wedding photos back just about a month after our wedding which was faster than some of our friends with weddings months before ours! Also, it is a great value as we had so many pictures to choose from! She is also great about getting you a few pictures back sooner if you want them for save the dates or for thank yous. We received so many compliments from our friends and family on the pictures as well.

Overall, I wouldn't have changed anything about our experience with Becky. She is great photographer and I would and currently do recommend her to anyone getting married. She is willing to do a lot to make sure her clients are happy and get the best result. I am extremely confident that anyone going with Becky will not only have their expectations met, but without a doubt will have the exceeded.

I simply cannot say enough great things about Becky and her assistant Robyn! First, the pictures they took from our wedding are just stunning. I think when you can look through a gallery of over 1,000 photos and love them all that says something about the photographer. Becky was a gem to work with- from planning out where we should go around the city, to thinking up group poses and rolling with changes we made along the way, she made everything seem so easy and seamless. Becky was absolutely wonderful to work with! From the start, she was responsive, professional, and willing to work with our budget. We had an engagement session a few months prior to the wedding, which was great. Becky was willing to drive to our preferred location and it gave us the opportunity to get to know her before our big day. If you want to talk details with your photographer, want someone who will really listen to you and make a plan to capture everything you are looking for, and want amazing pictures, then look no further than Becky Brown. Before we even picked Becky to be our wedding photographer, she did extra research into unique album options we wanted and answered all of our questions really quickly. She is very responsive, which is huge when you are planning any large event. We knew she would take amazing pictures that are that happy medium between posed and candid, artistic and journalistic, beautiful and even more beautiful. What we didn't know when we picked Becky is that she would also be our cheerleader - corralling my huge extended family for a picture and then being kind and comforting to me when that large family did not want to cooperate. She stayed late to make sure she got pictures of everyone on the dance floor without even being asked - she will go above and beyond for you to make your pictures and even your event great!

Becky shot both our engagement and wedding photos, and she did a fantastic job with both! She was by far the most responsive, communicative vendor we had, which we truly appreciated. She went the extra mile with every aspect - buying extra props for our picnic engagement shoot, scouting our wedding location the day before, editing and sending over our photos with lightning speed. We had an engagement photo session with Becky and could not have been more happy with everything. I cannot say enough good things about Becky and her skills as a photographer. Becky was excited and responsive right away. She was consistently available via email and even sent a cute welcome package after booking with her. On my wedding day she got every shot I asked for and more. I love that she did not make herself known like some photographers do. She got many candid shots and only got still group shots that I requested. Becky was without a doubt the best decision my fiancé and I made for our ceremony. We had contacted Becky only 2 weeks before our event and her responsiveness and flexibility to meet us and accommodate our specific needs made the entire experience so smooth and worthwhile. Her super friendliness and professionalism is only half the equation — when accompanied with her keen aesthetic skill, incredible attention to detail and commitment to capturing every moment to retell the narrative was truly impressive and highly exceeded our expectations. She's also really swift! We got our DVD of high-res photos way sooner than expected! Highly recommend Becky. Simply put, she rocks.

We LOVE Becky Brown/Becky Brown Photography! Our engagement and wedding photos speak for themselves but what those don't capture is how fun and enjoyable it is to work with Becky. She makes you feel comfortable, normal and we laughed a lot...which was nice. She is willing to do anything to get a great shot or back drop...including rolling around on the ground, getting dirty, freezing in the cold and sacrificing herself for that special moment. We don't intend on getting married again but, if I was, I'd have her join us all over again. Sometimes it is hard to know whether to spend the money for a wonderful photographer...and let me tell you she was worth every penny. Our photos are one of the few things we have left to remember the moment. Who can put a price on that?!?! Choose BBP, you won't regret it!

We had a truly unconventional wedding. My husband and I are British and had a big wedding planned in Scotland with our families. But, for various reasons, we had a courthouse ceremony in Chicago so that we had our marriage certificate.
We still wanted to mark the occasion so we co-ordinated a shoot with Becky and an after party with friends in downtown in Chicago.
Since the wedding was just the 2 of us it meant we had time to go to some excellent spots in Chicago and got amazing pics. Becky was a real trooper. Especially as it was freezing and we had her down at the beach, at wrigleyville, on rooftops and all sorts.
It was a perfect, relaxing day and we got some fabulous pictures to share with our family back home. Thanks Becky!!

Becky was amazing. She was quick to get back to me prior to the wedding with my many questions that I had. The day of the wedding Becky made all of us feel at ease. She worked hard throughout the day for us and we ended up with great pictures. Becky's laid back style made us all feel comfortable and I would recommend her to anyone who wants a photographer that is professional but also so easy to get along with.

Becky was excellent to work with. Had many great ideas to think about well before the actual wedding. Our wedding was particularly challenging because it included a contra dance, fast moving and hard to photo. Becky went the extra mile and stayed late to capture the spirit of the dance. Her pictures from start to finish were excellent.

Wouldn't have wanted anyone else to capture all of the special moments on our big day! Easy to work with, fun to be around, and delivers spectacular photographs. Becky is the best photographer I could have ever dreamed of!!! She is willing to go the extra mile to make sure that every shot is wonderful - she even brought out her bartending skills when we were struggling to open a bottle of wine :) Becky was there for everything and I love all of our pictures. She is truly wonderful and I would recommend her to anyone and look forward to using her again in the future.
