We had a larger group for hair and makeup on day of wedding (around 10 individuals) and everybody looked beautiful. Mel was personally unavailable for our wedding date so she secured 3 additional artists for us. Morgan did my makeup and Stephanny did my hair. They were lovely! Mel was awesome as well and very communicative throughout the entire process. Would definitely recommend Mel and her team!Beauty & The Beach's reply:

A magical experience
Mel made my day perfect. The price is great and a trial is available so you can see your makeup prior to the big day. I wasn’t sure if I needed that, but am 100% glad I did. The fact that Mel came to my hotel for both the trial and my big day only made things that much easier. She takes pride in her work and is just plain out fun to be with. So she really ended up making my daughter and I look beautiful on our big day, but also it felt like getting ready with a friend or family member. She really made out everything that even more special for us. Would highly recommend her services for any hair or makeup needs you have. Thanks Mel ❤️ -

So beautiful!
I couldn’t be happier with my choice to have Beauty & the Beach as part of my wedding day! Mel was so awesome & easy to work with to set everything up, including my trial - she did everything she could to work with my schedule! During the trial I wasn’t set on exactly what hairstyle I wanted yet but I showed my artist Ella some pictures and just said “I want a mixture of these…” and she NAILED IT. Wedding day Ella was so sweet, calm & funny - it really helped with the nerves of the day! Her artistry on myself & 2 of my bridesmaids was so beautiful & perfect - it’s like she knew us & she definitely knew what would be best!

Absolutely incredible!
I booked hair and makeup services for myself (the bride), the mother of the bride, and mother of groom for my wedding at Cheeca Lodge. We got to work with Mel and she was incredible to say the least. Mel is absolutely amazing!
I’ve never had my makeup done professionally before but my husband and I were eloping in Key Largo and I wanted to look my best for our wedding day. Mel did an absolutely amazing job with my hair and makeup and made me look and feel beautiful on our special day! I don’t normally wear makeup, besides mascara, but Mel made me look glamorous while still looking like myself.
Mel was great at communicating, listening to things I wanted and letting me know what would look best. The day of our wedding, it was like hanging out with a friend I’ve known for a while. Since it was just my husband and I, Mel also helped me get in my dress and put my veil on for me. Mel is a sweetheart and the absolute best!Beauty & The Beach's reply:

Mel and her team truly gave me the wedding of my dreams. I have been a bridesmaid in many weddings and they blew everyone out of the water. I recently got married in December and they did all the hair and make up for me and my bridesmaids. I'm still blown away on how extremely talented and VERY efficient they all were. There wasn't a single moment where I felt stressed or that we were behind schedule if anything we were ahead of schedule. Everyone's hair and make up was absolutely STUNNING! Mercy did my bridal hair & make up and she was INCREDIBLE. Everything was absolutely perfect. They were all so professional and so so fun. OMG MEL AND HER TEAM KNOCKED MY WEDDING OUT OF THE PARK!!!! My husband and I wanted a Viking themed wedding. After searching for what seemed like forever I found beauty and the beach. I knew she would be the best based off of her braiding and updo skills, and boy did she surprise me. Not only did she nail it but she took my super fine flat hair and made me feel like Lagetha from Vikings. I couldn’t have asked for more honestly. She also killed my makeup and made me feel like the most beautiful bride ever. Kaylee, her assistant, also did my husbands hair and omg she did amazing. He also needed Viking hair and she went above and beyond. She’s the coolest hairdresser I have ever met and made my experience not only easy but fun! I loved loved LOVED working with her and her team and I highly recommend them for any upcoming event. Mel truely gave me the wedding of my dreams. Not only did she give me the make up and hair style exactly how I asked for, she helped me in every other sense of the day. Since my husband and I eloped, we had no guests at our wedding. Mel jumped right in and got my flowers together, helped me put my dress and shoes on, and calmed me down before walking down the aisle. Mel also stayed through the wedding and offered to videotape so my family would be able to see. I cannot recommend Mel enough for not only her services, but how big of a heart she has. The best experience with my maid of honor for the day ❤️
I was a covid bride, with my wedding originally planned for May of 2020, so we all know how that worked out :). I had rescheduled my wedding here in MA but quickly realized the wedding we wanted was not going to happen. We did not want to keep postponing so we decided to elope and do a “weddingmoon” at the Bungalows in Key Largo where our honeymoon had been scheduled. First things first, hair and make up! A google search led me to Beauty and the Beach Artistry in the Florida Keys. I called Melissa and felt an instant connection to her on the phone. I booked her right away and felt relieved to check that box. As time went on, I realized that it was just going to be my husband to me and me, and therefore I would be getting ready alone. Who would button my dress? Who would have mimosas with me? Who would strap my shoes on? I let Melissa know how I felt and she said, “me! I am your maid of honor for the day!”. All my anxiety of not having my mom, sister, and best friends by my side on my wedding day went away as soon as Melissa showed up to my door on September 9, 2020. She texted me early in the morning to make sure I ate, she brought us mimosas, and we immediately clicked to a friendship and even sisterhood I won’t forget. She even helped my husband with his boutinerre! My hair and make up came out perfect, despite the 96 degree heat and humidity. After our ceremony, which Melissa graciously watched and videoed for my family back home on my phone, Melissa put my hair up as I quickly realized I wasn’t going to last with my hair down on our post wedding boat ride! Even quickly and unplanned changing my hair, it looked so good and exactly what I would have asked for if planned. That day we told stories, had laughs, and really got to know each other. As much as I would have loved a get ready day with my loved ones as a bride, Mel made me feel like a best friend, and all the sadness I had about not having a “normal” wedding due to covid rules went away. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for making my day so special. And now we are friends to this day :). I can’t recommend Melissa enough, whether you elope or have her glam your whole bridal party, she is the BEST!Beauty & The Beach's reply:

After a horrible trial experience where I told my mom ‘if I look like this on my wedding day, I won’t be making it down the aisle’, I was fearful that I wouldn’t find someone to do my hair and makeup….and then I met Mel! The most amazing hair stylist and makeup artist! From the moment I met Melissa, we immediately connected! Not only is she friendly and easy to talk to, but she is professional and experienced. She walked me through hair recommendations because I know nothing about choosing the right hair extensions. I showed her a semi-messy mermaid braid look during our trial and Melissa made my hair look even better! It turned out so intricate and delicate on the day of, perfect for the Florida humidity. I wore hair extensions for the first time, and it was so comfortable, I did not even notice it! For my makeup, I was unsure what I wanted exactly except I knew I was going for a more natural, beach vibe and Melissa worked her magic! She knew exactly how to accentuate and enhance my natural features instead of making me look like someone else! I was blown away by how beautiful she made me look and feel that day! She also did hair and makeup for 3 of my girls and my goodness, do they look gorgeous! Melissa knows how to do many different types of hairstyles and makeup looks. One of the ladies in our bridal party was unable to arrive early in the morning with everyone else, but Melissa stayed for as long as we needed her. We are from out of town and our hair reacted differently to the Florida heat, so Melissa offered a different hairspray for my husband to use on the day as well. She really does go above and beyond, and we are so grateful for her. Everyone complimented Melissa on her hair/makeup expertise as well as her sweet personality. It was so fun to have Melissa celebrate with us on our special day! Mel and her team handled hair and makeup for my wedding for me and 4 bridesmaids. She also did my hair and makeup for my rehearsal party. I have A LOT of hair (waist-length and thick) and she did an amazing up/down curl look for the rehearsal party and a part up/part down for the wedding day and I got constant compliments on both. The girls all LOVED the way their hair turned out and all of the make up looks. She was great at listening to everyone and giving them what they were asking for and also knowing what worked best in the Florida humidity. She was also super responsive in the planning/scheduling stages which took a lot of stress out of the process. Her prices were very reasonable and I highly recommend her!!Beauty & The Beach's reply:

Stunning and flawless
Mel did such a beautiful job on my hair for my wedding day. She also did my sisters (maid of honor) hair as well and she was very pleased. It was pretty windy but it held up perfectly and flawless. I had so many compliments on both my hair and makeup. Alissa did my makeup and it was exactly what I wanted and so stunning. I booked Beauty and the Beach for my destination wedding and I can't say enough about how wonderful it was to work with Mel!
Booking a destination wedding I knew I would not be able to have a trial before the day but Mel was responsive and the pre-event communication took away all my worries.
On the day of both she and make-up artist Lex were so great!
Having not done a trial Mel was able to give everyone the hair style they wanted based on pictures and even was willing to make some last minute changes to make sure everything was perfect.
Hair/make-up can be on of the more stressful parts of the day but both of their attention to detail, listening to each member of the bridal party, and their positive energy really made for the perfect morning. They both made sure everyone looked and felt their best!

Melissa was absolutely amazing! I am never happy with my hair and makeup when someone else does it but she did it perfectly, the way I asked, and even better than I could have imagined! She is so personable and talented and I would highly recommend her to any and all bridal parties. Also important to mention she helped calm my escalating nerves when it was go time. Melissa is seriously the best makeup artist. Not only because her work is amazing, but also because she is friendly, personable and professional. It was like having one of my best friends or family member helping me"the bride" and my bridesmaids get ready. The weather is Key Largo was very hot and humid, but my makeup stood flawlessly the entire day. I went with the airbrush which in my opinion is the way to go. I cant tell you how great the whole experience was from beginning to end. The bridesmaids had hair done as well and boy let me tell you how beautiful her work is and you're not sitting in a chair for hours. Melissa delivers beautiful hairstyles in a short amount of time. I also had a tattoo that needed covering and because of how well it was covered you couldn't even tell I had a tattoo. I'm very pleased with everything and I couldn't of been luckier to have found Beauty and the Beach. I highly highly recommend. You will get what you pay for and more. Thank you again. Ella with beauty and the beach was absolutely phenomenal. My wedding was a destination wedding and I was very apprehensive because I went based on reviews and did not have a trial hair and make up. Mel was great. Just makeup for my wedding. So sweet. Super nice. I forgot some personal items at home. Mel offeres to get them on the way over to our appointment. She was awseome. Super sweet. A lot of patience and understanding. Blew past all my facial flaws and made us look like superstars. Everyone was blown away by our makeup. Mel stayed through to cocktail hour.
