Simply amazing job
Thank you for an amazing job you did. Kristen was the best! I was able to book them a few weeks before my wedding for a very reasonable price. Kristen was very nice on the phone and at the day they arrived on time and did an amazing job. My makeup lasted all day without even touching it. My hair was exactly what I wanted and also lasted all day. I can not thank you enough for a wonderful job and making my day beautiful and special! -

Not only did Kristen and her team make me and my bridesmaids look stunning on the day of my wedding, Kristen was the steady calm presence every bride needs on the morning of her big day. Kristen made the entire process start to finish seamless. I would hire her again in a heartbeat! -

After weeks of searching for stylists who would accommodate services for just a bride, the clouds parted and I somehow lucked out and found Ivy and Kristen. From the very first consultation call, I knew my bridal look was in great hands. They carefully listened to my meandering ideas and inspiration and offered suggestions I would never have thought of. On my wedding day, I didn't look like "myself but better" - I looked like my best self! I was nervous about being a more mature bride, but working with Kristen and Ivy made me feel like a 20 year old getting ready with friends! After our first trail, I wanted to make some changes. Without hestiatation, they said "no problem!" and gave me exactly what I didn't know I wanted! The team's final product would have been enough to elicit a 5 star review, but the special little details make me wish I could give 6. From a face massage, to eye patches, to a little 'emergency kit' gift, even just having my hair combed made me feel pampered and special! I cannot recommend this team enough for your special day. Or a special event. Or if you just want to get beautified with some great company, Beauty Refinery is a MUST!!! -

The Beauty Refinery NYC did my makeup for my wedding in Lisbon, Portugal. We did trials in Southbury, Connecticut and I just knew I’d feel comfortable with them and that I’d look amazing. Ivys gentle touch soothed my nerves the day of my wedding, she was thorough and knew exactly what I wanted. Throughout the reception she was attentive to any touch ups if any and delivered such a professional performance catering to all my needs. Thank you for an amazing experience and making me look beautiful. -

Ivy was absolutely wonderful. Super attentive to what I wanted, made me so comfortable and relaxed and did an amazing job! She used top quality makeup- only the best which I really liked. I asked her to give me tips on what she was doing and using so I could know for future reference and she was more than happy to do that for me. She even recommended some awesome products too. I have honestly never felt so beautiful! So glad I used her and will def use her again!!! -

I absolutely loved working with Ivy, not only is she an absolute pleasure, she is a very talented makeup artist, I highly recommend her! I was worried I'd look overdone because I normally wear very little makeup but she did such a great job making me look great and more on the natural side. -

My mother-in-law gifted me a glam team to get me, her two daughters and herself ready the day of and the Beauty Refinery team was a great gift indeed. They were very intentional and diligent in their communication prior to the day of the wedding, which was awesome given I opted to not do a hair/makeup trial. I went for a 60s inspired Audrey Hepburn look and they were very thorough on ensuring what I wanted to achieve the look without it coming across costume-y (which thankfully it did not!).
While I do wish I would have done a trial to get accustomed to the team member's personalities/vibe prior to the day of when I had so many thoughts and nerves, they were very professional and adaptable to the working space at the hotel suite where we got ready. They're also very understanding about any adjustments you want made to the look along the way, so feel free to speak up if there's anything you want - it's YOUR day! One thing I do wish I would have asked for is some coverage and contouring on my chest/collar bone area, so just a consideration if you have a dress that shows off your chest.
