Beauty on Location did an AMAZING job for my wedding in April 2026. I was referred to BoL by my mother in law (who went to HS with Amy) and was so impressed. I was originally booked with a stylist, but ~6 months before my wedding I was informed she was no longer with the company. Amy called to let me know, was super professional, and offered me a free trial with a new artist. My new artist, Cheyenne, was a DREAM. She mentioned that she doesn't do makeup for as many weddings of late, but everyone in my bridal party loved her. She made everyone feel super comfortable, confident and beautiful on the inside out. I wanted natural, beautiful makeup that lasted all night and she completely delivered. I have now gone on to recommend this company to anyone in NJ looking for bridal makeup. They're the best! We hired Beauty on Location NJ for our summer 2024 wedding. When I was looking for someone to do my makeup for our wedding day, I really wanted someone who could give me an elegant and soft bridal look. I was initially very nervous about hiring professional makeup for my wedding day because, since I no longer wear makeup regularly, I was worried that I would end up with a makeup look too dramatic, too thick/heavy feeling on my face and eyes, or unrecognizable as myself. I found Beauty on Location NJ and they seemed to offer exactly what I was looking for. I had my trial run with Holly and officially booked her the same day. Not only was the makeup exactly what I wanted, but she was so kind, a great listener, and eased all of my nerves about the wedding day.
On the day of the wedding, Holly was our lead artist and Anita was our second artist. They both did an amazing job. Holly had all of our notes from our trial and did an excellent job executing what I wanted, which was an elegant and sophisticated natural look with pink hues. During our trial, Holly had applied a half lash instead of a full because I had never worn them before and was sensitive to the feel of them. On the day of the wedding, however, even the half lash was bothering me and it was in my field of vision a bit, which I figured I could live with, but Holly insisted on making sure I was 100% comfortable. She went the extra mile to apply single lashes to the edges to make sure I would be comfortable. I ended up absolutely loving the single lashes look and she made it so it accentuated my lashes without overtaking my eyes or distracting from them. They were so comfortable that I accidentally forgot to take some of them off at the end of the night.
Everyone else in our party loved their makeup as well and thought the artists were very friendly and easy to talk to. In addition to the makeup being perfect, Holly did such a great job at helping me stay calm. She is so down-to-earth and easy to talk to. I was a ball of anxiety during the getting ready phase of the wedding, but she talked me through it and helped keep me sane. I would definitely recommend Beauty on Location to anyone in the area looking for bridal and wedding party makeup.

Beauty on location has been AMAZING for my wedding and wedding events. I worked with Cheyanne and Mahrukh for my wedding events and wedding day. They did a beautiful job on my makeup looks. Their makeup looked natural and gorgeous. They also did makeup for my grandmas, aunt and wedding party and did a beautiful job. I highly recommend beauty on location for wedding day makeup. They helped me figure out my vision and made me feel beautiful. I also was dancing and there were lots of happy tears, and my makeup stayed beautiful all nigh. -

From scheduling trials for me and my bridal party to the scheduling for my special day, Beauty on Location was flexible and responsive. As someone who doesn’t wear a lot of make-up, it’s an understatement to say that I felt out of my comfort zone. My stylist, Sonia, made me feel so comfortable and really took my concerns to heart. I found BOL on IG shortly after finding my hair stylist (JC Hair Design) and I loved that BOL and JC were frequently tagged together in their posts! I booked Amanda after my trial with her. She and Alex did makeup for myself, my mom and MIL, and 6 bridesmaids. We loved our natural makeup looks! We looked and felt like ourselves the whole day and night. Amanda and Alex are also super sweet and friendly and made all of us feel relaxed while doing our makeup. They also worked so well with my hair stylists! Everyone finished hair and makeup well ahead of schedule, so it was an enjoyable, stress-free experience. Thank you BOL! -

Seamless and Stunning!
Beauty on Location was amazing! From my first trial to the day of the wedding, BoL was incredible to work with and communicated every step of the way. BoL even helped us set up our getting ready timeline. Brittany and Mel were amazing! Not only did they make each and every member of my bridal party (and me!) feel and look beautiful, but they were both such a pleasure to have around. I was immediately enticed by Beauty on Location’s commitment to natural beauty looks. That was absolutely what I wanted myself and my bridal party to have on my wedding day. It was incredibly easy to work with the team leading up to the wedding day. What impressed me the most was how the team jumped into action when during the week of the wedding a last minute change in make-up artist occurred due to illness. The team immediately set me up with Elisa, who was able to squeeze me in for a last minute trial session the day before the wedding. Everything ran smoothly the day of the wedding and all who had their makeup done raved about Elisa and Jessie’s work! Do you want to feel absolutely stunning, but look exactly like yourself? Book with Beauty on Location. I worked with Lindsey as my bridal make-up artist on 12/18/21 and she hit it out of the park. I knew once I did my trial in October that I would be so pleased with my wedding make-up, but nothing could have prepared me for the absolute goddess Lindsey turned me into on my wedding day. The other two artists, Melissa and Sarah, were incredible as well and made my bridesmaids feel like royalty. We are so grateful for the amazing work of these ladies! I hired Beauty On Location NJ to do my makeup for my wedding. At the time, I wasn’t sure how many people would be in my wedding party and estimated a total of 6 people including myself and only secured one makeup artist. About 2 months away from the big day, I realized there was a total of 10 people who needed their makeup done and I forgot to inform Amy. Thankfully she was able to accommodate with an additional makeup artist.
On the day of Melissa D. and Melissa S., who are both AMAZINGLY TALENTED, arrived promptly at 6:30AM and completed everyone’s look on time. I am beyond happy with the way my makeup turned out and so were all the ladies. I was also super surprised at how well the makeup stayed on all day. The only thing I needed to reapply was my lipstick. Highly recommend! -

As someone who infrequently wears makeup, I was thrilled when I found Beauty on Location! I wanted to look and feel like myself on my wedding day and achieving a natural look while still wearing makeup that popped for pictures was important. Beauty on Location was able to deliver! I absolutely love how my makeup looked on the day of my wedding! My mom, husband’s mom, and bridesmaids all looked beautiful as well. Erin was an absolute pleasure to work with! She understood my vision from inspo pictures and was great about starting out light and asking me if I wanted more bronzer, blush, etc. so I felt most like myself. Her energy and kindness was an added bonus; she was so fun to have there on the day of my wedding. Melissa, our second artist, was great as well! Everyone’s makeup was finished on time and lasted throughout the entire day and night for my August 7th wedding. 10/10 would recommend Beauty on Location if you want to look and feel beautiful on your wedding day! -

From the trail to the wedding day Beauty on Location was the best! Lindsey did such an amazing job. She was personable, kind, and listened to my wants/needs along with all my bridesmaids. The best part might have been having Lindsey stay extra for touch-ups. Originally I thought she would only touch up me but nope! She touched up every single bridesmaid, multiple times! I did not have Kristi for my wedding day, but omg she is a superhuman when it comes to answering emails and coordinating the timeline! Day of I had Jamie, Rachel, and Christina and they were all so sweet and fun to spend the day with. Everyone loved their looks, and the team was able to adjust anything that wasn't perfect. For example, my sister in law did not like the poof in her hairstyle, so Rachel completely re-did it and was happy to do so!! We did run behind schedule by 30 mins though and my bridesmaids were not done on time which caused a little stress with the photographer, but I am glad everyone looked perfect. And of course my hair and makeup was flawless - I did not not even do a makeup trial but it was AMAZING. I highly recommend the Verve team for your special day! -

I hired Beauty On Location for my wedding on 9/19/20 and they were absolutely wonderful to work with! I was originally scheduled to work with Erin, but before my trial they reached out to let me know that Erin was no longer available but that Amanda could do my makeup instead. Since I hadn't done my trial yet, I was totally fine with this change. Eventually, I did my trial with Amanda and she listened to everything I wanted and made adjustments when something didn't quite feel right. We ultimately landed on the perfect look for me! Day-of, Amanda was absolutely wonderful and did makeup for me, 3 of my bridesmaids, my mother-in-law, and my grandma-in-law. Everyone LOVED their makeup and commented on how wonderful Amanda was, both as a makeup artist and just as a person! My makeup lasted all day and night and made me feel so beautiful. My bridesmaids and I all had our makeup done and WOW, it was such a great experience. Wenya did my makeup and she was FANTASTIC. She was really cool and easy to talk to and very professional. I still cannot get over how amazing I looked that day. My makeup was natural and glowy, it didn't smudge and stayed on all day long. I was also really impressed too by how all my bridesmaids' makeup looked. Everyone looked gorgeous, and their makeup was completely individualized to fit them. They all wore different styles of bridesmaid dresses and different hairstyles - I wanted them to be themselves. One of my bridesmaids was given a dark lipstick that she's never worn before and it looked so good on her (and fits her personality perfectly) she owns that color and wears it everywhere. She looked absolutely radiant and beautiful, but most importantly, completely natural! That was what I was looking for in a wedding makeup artist, so I reached out and they were available on my wedding date. Jessica did my hair and makeup and she was amazing – such a great calming presence the day of the wedding, and she even let me schedule in a last minute morning blowout so I could go to the gym the morning of the wedding. I loved the way my hair and makeup looked and thought all the bridesmaids looked amazing as well. They had a great team and we had a lot of fun hanging out with them that morning!

Lindsay Sent on 01/22/2018Stellar. Incredible. Professional. All natural glam. The list of compliments could go on and on! My friend referred me to Amy once I started wedding planing. I searched for Amy’s Instagram to take a peak at her work and I knew right away that I had to book a trial for the day of my engagement pictures. That was hands down the best decision I’ve ever made. Amy asked what my vision was for my wedding look, I showed a few makeup pictures and described personal preferences and she totally nailed the look. I booked Amy for my wedding right then and there without hesitation! Just when I thought it couldn’t get any better, it did! Amy and her coworker, Angela, came to my house promptly the morning of my wedding, worked her magic and myself, my mom and bridesmaids were incredibly happy with our wedding day looks! Amy and Angela are such talented makeup artists! I’m actually really upset our wedding is over because I miss my wedding day makeup - I felt so naturally glamorous. I’m trying to find any excuse to book Amy again in the near future!

my bridesmaids and i worked with angela and jessica. let me tell you, they did an outstanding job. it was absolutely a privilege working with them.
all of our hair and makeup looked flawless and so natural. as the bride, i was nervous because i wanted everything to be perfect. it was more than perfect, it was everything i wanted and more. i received so many compliments about my hair AND my makeup. i must have told at least 10 people about your company. i would suggest your team over and over again. angela and jessica were on time, pleasant, and were so much fun. i definitely cried a few times while jessica was doing my makeup, and so was so patient and understanding.
i cant thank you guys enough. some people tend to forget about the people that are behind the scenes, but i will not forget. i appreciated everything so much. my perfect, dream, wedding day could not have been possible without you. thank you again, for your unbelievable talents and for everything you made possible. i am so grateful. -

I knew that I wanted to look like myself, just more polished, on my wedding day, so found Beauty on Location, and feel they delivered on exactly that! Communication was strong as they have someone who centralizes and handles emails. Scheduling the trial was easy as well, and I was very happy with the results and the advice my artist gave as I was struggling to pick a lip color.
On the day of, we had two artists, and everyone was done speedily. Everyone’s makeup lasted the whole night and looked great in photos. The only slight issue we had is that one artist didn’t really listen to bridesmaids when they showed inspiration pictures that were what they wanted. We blotted off one lip color, which was an easy fix, and the other bridesmaid still looked great, it was just a glittery complexion when she showed pictures that were more matte. All in all, I would still highly recommend, would just encourage people getting their makeup done to be very explicit about what they want if they have a vision. -

Great choice for hair & makeup!
Working with Beauty on Location was wonderful. Although I never actually met Amy in person, speaking with her on the phone was refreshing and she is so accommodating and sweet. My mom and I went to her adorable studio (set in the back of her AMAZING Morristown home) for our hair trials. It really put me at ease to have that trial and my mom and I both loved our results.
The day of the wedding, Christine (hair) & Kortnie (makeup) were both on-time, and efficiently got through 4 bridesmaids, my mom, and me. They even helped rush at the end when we were running a little behind schedule (totally our fault bc we were late being ready to start). They got us all done & everyone looked great.
I was SO happy with the result of my hair and makeup. Everything looked natural and my hair seriously stayed all night! (extensions 100% helped hold my curls). Thank you guys!!
The only thing I'd say, is that their prices run pretty expensive in my opinion compared to other weddings I've been in and from asking around. I paid for like 1/2 of my girls' hair and makeup because I felt so bad asking them to pay so much (bridesmaid hair= $125, makeup= $125. I think $250 is a lot to ask of people). Bridal hair was $175 + Makeup $175 and a $50 charge for extensions. Anyway, the end result really was beautiful, they were awesome and did a great job. I have no complaints, so if they fall within your budget--- book them!! They are great! -

I had some younger bridesmaids and friends who don’t tend to wear much makeup, but all loved the result!! For myself, I’ve never felt more confident and looked exactly as I wanted to the whole day and night! Jessica specifically did an amazing job at both my trial and bridal hair and makeup! So convenient that they could come to us rather than having to travel to a salon the day of, and worked ahead of timeline while still paying attention to every detail. I’m writing this review 7 months after my wedding, with a clear mind and the intention of sharing an honest and fair account of my experience. While the artists are clearly skilled and the makeup was applied well, the major issue was their refusal to listen to what we wanted and their unwillingness to make changes, even when there was more than enough time to do so. As the bride, this was incredibly upsetting, especially when I had 50 minutes left in my scheduled 90 minute makeup slot.
Planning and communication beforehand were smooth, but the day-of experience was a different story. The team arrived and initially refused to use the designated makeup room. Instead, they set up in the kitchen and moved items we had prepped the night before. They did this without introducing themselves and immediately began explaining why they wouldn’t use the correct room, ignoring the direction of the venue coordinator and myself.
My bridal makeup was rushed through in about 40 minutes (out of the 90 minutes allotted). During that time, the artist did not have me look in a mirror to see the progress. When I finally saw the finished look, I expressed that it was too dark and not what I wanted/not like the pictures I had shown her. Rather than adjusting it, she told me to “let it sit” and reassess later despite us being ahead of schedule. Instead of using the time to correct it, she said she wasn’t going to start anyone else early and just sat around. She then asked me for coffee. When I said no, she went to my mother-in-law and asked her instead, ending up with a coffee that was meant for someone else in the wedding party.
Later, she made a minor change to my makeup, but it still wasn’t what I wanted. I had to request setting spray before she packed up, and I later noticed my mascara hadn’t been fully applied. I fixed that myself. Several bridesmaids and my mom had similar experiences—asking for lighter looks or better coverage, and being told no. Most ended up redoing their makeup themselves.
I was also charged a $50 travel fee per artist, only to learn that one of them traveled just 15 minutes to the venue. That felt excessive and misleading.
After the wedding, I emailed to share my concerns. The owner called me but made it clear she wasn’t interested in having a real conversation. As I began explaining what happened, she interrupted several times and said, “I read your email. I just called to apologize.” She offered a discounted makeup session, but since I live in Hawaii and the wedding was in New Jersey, that wasn’t a realistic or helpful solution. She also subtly placed blame on me for not having a trial, even though that wasn’t feasible due to my location—something she knew. That’s precisely why we scheduled an extended 90-minute slot on the day of the wedding, to allow time for adjustments if needed. Unfortunately, that extra time was wasted, as my makeup artist spent it sitting around and asking for coffee instead of making the changes I requested.
To make matters worse, she told me they planned to contact my photographer and videographer about my feedback. When I asked why, she said they had an existing relationship with my photographer and wanted to make sure they didn’t need to “edit the photos too much.” I told her not to involve them because my photographer hadn’t been made aware of any of this, and it felt like a way to save face rather than take accountability.
