Alexis and her team was so amazing. I hired her to do my makeup for my wedding. She Took everything into account and was on top of it! From the moment I had my make up trial to the day of wedding. She really understood what my vision was for myself And my bridesmaids. And took the time to get to know me and my bridesmaids. -

From booking to my trial to my wedding day, everything about working with Alexis and her team was AMAZING. Taylor was my hairstylist and Cindee was the makeup artist, and they blew my expectations out of the water. Each of them made me feel so beautiful, took the time to really listen to what I wanted and executed it to a T. I really wanted to look and feel like myself on such a big day and they both made it happen. They also did hair and makeup for my mom, and two sisters and all of them said it was the best experience they've ever had! A huge thank you to all of them for making me look my best! -

I am so happy I got my dress at the Persnickety Bride! Denise and her whole team are incredible. Her store is amazing and she only carries the best. Both my sister and I found our dream dresses here. Denise worked with the designer of my dress (Dany Tabet) to get me a custom dress so I could get exactly what I wanted. She even had a trunk show and I was able to meet Dany. Completely a dream come true. I was able to get the dress I envisioned and it was perfect for my wedding day. Can not recommend The Persnickety Bride enough! -

Taylor and Cindee were absolutely amazing to work with! From the trial to the big day, they both understood the look I was going for and they delivered! My entire bridal party looked absolutely stunning as well! They worked efficiently to stay on schedule but they made sure everyone was comfortable with their look and touched up before they left. Alexis made things so easy to coordinate and set up, overall everyone was a dream to work with! -

If I could give Alexis more than 5 stars, I absolutely would. From the very beginning of the booking process she was responsive, professional, and exceptionally kind. On my wedding day, Alexis was so on top of timing that I did not have to stress one bit. And when I tell you that my entire bridal party looked STUNNING, that is not doing the glam justice. I was blown away by how perfect the makeup was and guests were complimenting it all night long. Not only did the makeup look perfect, it lasted all night without budging. Alexis also provided makeup services for my mother and mother-in-law who are not big glam ladies, and she made them feel super comfortable and at ease. I cannot say enough good things about Alexis and would recommend her to any bride considering her services! Thank you for making my whole squad look and feel their best for my wedding day! -

I'm so glad I booked Alexis to do my hair and makeup. At the trial a few months before, I showed her pictures and details of how I wanted to look. She was able to replicate both my hair and make up to look amazing. The day of my wedding she came to my venue on time and was excited to work with me and my 4 girls. She took her time and was attentive to make sure we looked good and to touch up if we needed it. I felt so beautiful that day and would 100% recommend her to anyone in the CT area who wants to feel relaxed and gorgeous on her wedding day!!! -

Alexis was so good wonderful to work with. Not only is she so sweet but also incredibly talented. She was able to pivot from my trial on the day of my wedding when I changed my mind about my hair. She made me and everyone in my wedding feel and look amazing. Finding the right hair and makeup for your wedding day is a huge deal- I have had many bad experiences as a bridesmaid, and I’m so glad I chose Alexis for my own day because it could not have gone better! -

Alexis is simply the best. She made the entire process so simple and fun. She was quick to communicate throughout the entire planning process and gave advice on style choices and extensions. On the day of our wedding Alexis kept everything moving in a timely manner and everyone was so happy with their hair and makeup - including me! Alexis is professional and so friendly. She'll make everyone feel comfortable and keep things running smoothly on your wedding day. -

Alexis is SO wonderful. So many positive and happy words come to mind when I think of working with her. From my trial to the day of, she was so kind and understanding. Very responsive and professional. I can’t say enough about her and her work. On my wedding day, she brought her squad who were also equally as kind and professional. We had such great vibes the day of. One less thing to stress about!

Exactly What We Needed!
Alexis and her assistant did such an amazing job with our hair and makeup! When I originally went to Alexis for my trial, she looked at the various pictures I brought, incorporated my vision, and did a great job. She even recommended extensions and color matched my hair to help me get the look I was going for!
A couple of weeks before the wedding, I realized I wanted a different look. Alexis quickly was able to pivot, emailed me pictures showing similar work that she's done before, and put me at ease with the new direction.
On the day of the wedding, Alexis NAILED the look I was going for. Additionally, she did an amazing job with my bridesmaids' makeup. She also did a fantastic job with the groom's family, who rarely wears makeup or intricate updos, and with the bride's mother, who has extremely curly hair and a fear of anyone else touching it.
Overall Alexis was amazing, and I'm so glad she was part of the wedding team! -

Absolutely Perfect
I found Alexis because she was local to my area. She was responsive and completely accommodating throughout the entire process. Starting with the trial, she made me feel comfortable and was extremely personable. I brought photos to share what I was looking for and she was spot on. She adapted and adjusted based on my feedback (but she didn't need much). I also appreciated all the photos she took to preserve the look so we could recreate it on my wedding day. Alexis also recommended which lip products to purchased so I could reapply throughout the wedding day as needed. On the day of the wedding Alexis and her team arrived promptly and ready. I was so pleased with both my hair and makeup and received so many compliments. I had a large bridal party and the team she brought was excellent. Everyone was so pleased with their hair and makeup. I was pleased they were able to work with all skin tones and hair textures and they made each bridesmaid and our mothers feel comfortable and beautiful. Alexis and her team made sure they stayed for touchups and made any adjustments as necessary. I would absolutely recommend Alexis to anyone looking for hair and makeup for not just their wedding day but any event.

What could be considered the worst combination of a bride and bridesmaids who don’t typically wear much make-up and a larger than usual Wedding Party was no issue for Alexis and her team of stylists (Diana(make-up), Cindee(make-up), and Taylor (Hair).
They made us feel at ease, beautiful, and gave us great tips for keeping the looks going!
They were able to have the bridal party (7!) plus the moms of “The Day” styled to perfection and even touched-up before the early afternoon ceremony.
Their kindness, skill, and talent was above and beyond.
Myself and my wedding crew highly recommend them for your event hair and make-up needs.
