Julea Beauty absolutely ROCKED our hair & makeup for my wedding on 11.18.2023! We had 8 total people getting glammed up – 2 moms, 4 bridesmaids, 1 bridesfairy, and me (the bride) – and every single one of us was absolutely in love with how our hair & makeup turned out! I was especially grateful for Juelz's ability to cover up my redness - I have a few weird health issues that cause me to turn BRIGHT red whenever I feel strong emotions (hello, wedding day!!), and I was really nervous about going full tomato during the ceremony. But thanks to Juelz, there was not a single spot of redness visible ALL NIGHT LONG!!
Juelz & her team were also extraordinarily accommodating. During my trial, I mentioned that the venue coordinator didn’t recommend getting hair & makeup done in the on-site bridal suite due to poor lighting. Juelz said she could bring extra lighting and we would be perfectly fine, and she was 100% right! They lugged 4 MASSIVE lights to the bridal suite, which saved us time and SO much anxiety from traveling from the hotel to the venue with our glam! Juelz also accommodated me by adding an additional makeup artist a few months prior to my wedding – we were originally scheduled to have 1 makeup artist and 2 hair stylists, with a 6:30am start time, but the additional makeup artist allowed us to start at 9:15am! As someone who is NOT a morning person, that was very appreciated! At the last second, I also decided to extend Juelz’s time on-site, as I was concerned about crying & sweating (I do both, a lot 😂). BEST DECISION EVER!! Juelz made me feel like a movie star, as she followed me around during pictures, continuously adjusting my hair & makeup to make sure I looked perfect for every single shot! My hair kept getting caught in my veil and earrings, but Juelz was there between every photo to un-stick me! After the ceremony, she gave me one final touch up, and I stayed looking flawless until 3am (see the attached crazed picture of me getting some air outside at 10:30pm)!
On top of being phenomenal hair stylists & makeup artists, Juelz & her team also matched the impeccable vibes of the bridal party, which is incredibly important on such a big day! They were jamming to my playlist & seemed to have a good time (I hope, at least!). Everyone was also extremely fun, friendly, and easy to talk to – they truly made our morning even more special! I wholeheartedly recommend Julea Beauty to anyone who needs hair and/or makeup done for any occasion! -

I cannot recommend Julea Beauty Bar enough. I hired them for my wedding in April 2023 for my 7 bridesmaids and I. They were AMAZING! My bridesmaids raved about their hair and makeup & said it was the best they have ever experienced as a bridesmaid. Julianne did makeup & Chelsea did hair and they are both so talented and such nice people to work with! My hair/makeup trial was perfect. Julianne is so quick with communication and answered all of my questions. They were right on time and stayed on schedule the entire morning! Everyones hair/makeup held up beautifully all day long!! Book this team ASAP!!! -

Hotter Than July!
We had makeup services for our engagement photo shoot and wedding, and we are so happy that we found Jules. Finding an inclusive, welcoming, skilled makeup artist as a same-sex couple was important. We came in for a consultation and were immediately impressed with the layout and aesthetics of the makeup bar. The ambiance, the colors, the furniture, and the cleanliness of the space were top-tier! It was evident that she holds a high standard for presentation. In addition, we were treated with the utmost hospitality as she offered snacks and wine during our services. Jules made us feel at home, respected, and also celebrated.
Regarding our makeup, we wanted to create a beautiful and feminine look—finding something that allowed us to stand out as individuals and as a couple was essential. She talked with us and helped us create a look that did just that. Jules made sure we had a 5-star experience. She provided details about the various products she uses and skin care. Jules and her colleague conveniently came to our hotel on our wedding day. Both came stocked with fresh products and supplies, vanity lights, and a makeup chair which was great because lighting and seating can be challenging at hotels. They both were professional, patient, and open to feedback. Together they did ten faces with lashes in 5 hours on one of the hottest days in July! Afterward, we received a touch-up bag with items that helped us keep our makeup together for when the inevitable tears of joy started streaming down our faces. They understood the assignment and executed it very well. Our makeup accentuated our features and paired well with our dresses. We all looked like we had stepped out of a magazine! JuLea Beauty Bar checked all of our boxes and then some! -

So accommodating and amazing work!
Julianne & her team are the best! They were extremely easy to communicate with throughout the entire process. We hired them for both hair and makeup for our big day. They graciously accommodated my large wedding party + 2 moms hair/makeup, and were very flexible when our grandmothers wanted their hair done at the last minute as well. They are true professionals and masters of their craft - everyone looked incredible and their hair & makeup lasted the entire day! We also loved the touch-up kits they provided for us.
I wore my hair down for the ceremony, and then decided to hire them to come back to pin my hair up for the reception - a choice that I highly recommend for other brides; they did an amazing job! Special thanks & shoutouts to Lauren (make-up), Brittany (hair), and Jessie (hair) for the incredible job they did with making my old hollywood glamour vibe wishes come to life! -

Amazing work and team!
I absolutely loved my experience working with Julianne from JuLea Beauty Bar. Firstly, she was so responsive and helpful with all of my questions. Secondly, when my MIL needed to add on services she without hesitation offered to bring another makeup artist. She made me feel heard in what I wanted and executed it FLAWLESSLY. I still can't get over how perfect it was!! 100% would book again for any other makeup needs and will recommend to friends. Also want to add, the girls in my wedding had all different skin types, hair colors, and skin tones and they were able to work with everyone and make them all look and feel beautiful! -

5 STARS Top notch!!
Lauren from JuLea Lash Beauty Bar absolutely killed it on my wedding day makeup!! All of my bridesmaids, my mom, my cousin, and one of my very good friends looked absolutely amazing. Lauren was very professional while also enjoying our music and jammin out with us. We all felt so comfortable with her. My makeup stayed perfect through the hot hot day and all the sweating at the reception, the kisses on the cheek, the flowing tears. I didn’t crack with all the smiling and laughing and crinkling of my face. I literally couldn’t have been any happier or satisfied with the all around experience. I don’t plan to get married again but I’ll definitely be getting wedding makeup done again for sure!!! **will add more photos once the professional ones are back -

Jules is an expert and knows how to make you feel beautifu!
Jules has a keen eye for detail and she can work with any skin color! The bride’s makeup looked phenomenal from early in the day until she turned in for the evening (2am). Jules is fast, extremely skilled and knows how to make you go from drab to fab in 30 minutes. We received so many compliments on the makeup. -

Julea and her team were super professional and responsive. I asked many questions and had a few updates the week leading up to my wedding and she was very accommodating and replied super fast (even at 11pm the night before the wedding!)
Last but not least - I almost cried at the way my H&MU was done. It was a hot sunny day and the makeup did NOT melt! Different skin tones and hair types were not an issue.

100% recommend. They were perfect. I cried a million times on the wedding, and it stayed through the entire day and after party flawlessly. The team finished an hour early on wedding day which gave us plenty of time to make tik toks and have fun. They finished 9 people within 5 hours (including me last and they were able to take their time and really perfect my look). One of the hair stylist was able to take some beautiful photos of me getting ready when he had finished early. We played music throughout, and the whole team was laughing along with us to some great stories. They just made the vibe perfect the entire morning. -

Julianne and her staff were extremely professional and listened to everything that I wanted. The hair and make up trial went really well and they took all of my notes. The day of was wonderful. They came to my hotel. They did not only my make up at my mother’s. My mother had not had a trial but they listened to her and did her make up beautifully. I got so many compliments throughout the night and it was so fun to just talk with them as we were getting ready. They helped me feel not so nervous and or just wonderful company. I loved my hair and make up. And the prices were really reasonable. If I ever have another event that requires hair and make up I will definitely contact them again. -

Extremely talented, genuine makeup & hair team
Let me start by saying that the Julea Beauty Bar team, every single one of them, are brilliant, talented, genuine, informative, top notch artists. ALL with extensive backgrounds, makeup/beauty industry history, knowledge and skill sets! I was weary at first hiring an outside business to do my hair & makeup since I too work in the industry. I started my trial with an open mind & ended it in tears because it was the first time I actually felt like a BRIDE! These poor girls, I couldn’t get my words out to tell them that because I didn’t want to cry and mess up my makeup. I had everyone crying. Lol I knew after the trial I wanted darker makeup & more of my bangs back in my updo for the wedding day. I made sure to let the girls know my “changes” & they absolutely KILLED it. Blew every expectation I had on what I would look like for my wedding day out of the park. Chelsea & Lauren you are my dream team & I’m so blessed to have met you & share good conversation & that you could work your magic on me. Again THE best makeup and hair experience from trial to wedding day. They accommodated my large wedding party of 10 bridesmaids, 2 junior bridesmaids and 2 mothers & me with ease. I was skeptical going into the hair trial because my hair is at an awkward length, but I was extremely happy with the outcome. Long Lasting Wedding Makeup
JuLea's team did hair and makeup for myself and my mom. We had two wedding ceremonies in one day (Indian and then Christian) so the makeup had to last for a long time. We started at 5am, had a touchup at 2pm, and our looks lasted until midnight. The touchup was primarily necessary because our Indian outfits had hair pieces that needed to be removed and messed up our hair some. My sister in law and grandma also got their hair done with this team. My mom and I were very happy with our looks and they photographed well. -

Julianne was the absolute best from first email to heading out to our ceremony! She was responsive and easy to work with. We did a trial about a month ahead and I had few ideas. She helped me form my vision. We threw her some curveballs on the day of the wedding with a late addition and some flower girls who wanted their turn in the chair. She was great with everything and provided a perfect to-go back for touch-ups. Start to finish, everything was a 10! Side note: my SIL's hired their own MUA, and my husband commented on the difference between Julianne's work and others... hands down, Julianne's photographed best, and I never felt more beautiful! -

I struggled to find a team in Pittsburgh that had experience with brown skin and was lucky to come across this team! JULEA BB is responsive, punctual and talented! In my trial and on my wedding day, Lauren SLAYED! My makeup did not move and it was amazing! She gave me the glam of my dreams. I only wish I lived closer so she could do my makeup more. The owner, Julianne, was wonderful to work with! She was very professional and flexible. She was extremely accommodating for my hair and makeup trial as I live out of state and she was able to fit me in at a pretty random time. I immediately liked her and Chelsea who did my hair - they were both so fun, friendly and great at what they do!
On the day of the wedding, Julianne and her team of 3 additional ladies showed up at venue ready to rock and were right on time! She and the team were extremely friendly and we all felt so comfortable around them- laughing and joking around! Even with a few last minute changes (my hair style, an extra hair appointment, etc.), the team so flexible and understanding. I REALLY appreciated that!!
This team worked wonders on us! They listened to what my bridal party and I wanted, made suggestions, and in the end, we all looked and felt flawless! Shout out to Chelsea who did my hair and Julianne who did my makeup - I have never felt so beautiful! I even heard the mother of the groom say she had never felt so pretty in her entire life. First of all I would like to say that Julie and her staff did an amazing job! They are all very professional and pay close attention to detail. Julie and her staff made sure that me and my bridesmaids loved our hair and makeup. Another thing that was important for me is that, the stylist & makeup artist knew how to work different hair types and skin types. Julie and her staff are definitely amazing at doing that. If you like their reviews, book them ASAP. Since they are very talented. They get booked pretty quickly. Thank you for making my day so special. I absolutely loved my hair and makeup! Bridal Hair & Makeup: Wonderful Experience!
My bridal party and I had our hair and makeup done for my wedding day on 7/17/2021 by JuLea Beauty Bar and my experience was amazing! I was blessed to have Lauren and Chelsea to do my makeup and hair, respectively. Lauren is an angel! Besides being the sweetest young lady ever, she is a very gifted makeup artist. She put so much effort into making sure I was looking gorgeous for my wedding! My makeup looked incredible and it lasted for the entire event. Her level of patience and care for her costumers is to admire. I will recommend her to any bride without hesitating.
Chelsea is so much fun to work with. She did a gorgeous job with my hair and went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with my look. Se was always very responsive and flexible. She is a very talented hairstylist and I would definitely recommend her too.
Finally, Juelz, the owner, was extremely professional and very helpful. She made sure my makeup and hair needs were met for my wedding day by coordinating everything for me. She was very responsive and always available to assist. I am very happy with my decision of putting my trust on JuLea Beauty Bar! -

Julea beauty bar made my wedding day so special! They came to me! Professional services was a part of my gift to bridal party and my mom as thank you for everything they did to make our day special. It was fate they were available because it was a pretty late decision on my part! Everyone looked so beautiful. My mom’s makeup was still perfect the next day and lashes still on! I have never seen her that dolled up and I loved it and so did she. They made everyone feel so pampered, confident, beautiful and happy and we loved it!
Owner responds promptly to emails and they are super flexible. I changed my mind about things like 5,000 times and they were all super accommodating, calmed me down on the day and were AMAZING! My makeup artist seriously could like read my mind, faces, and emotions and was like my therapist while she was getting me ready. Loved her. Ashley is a miracle worker with hair and everyone is so talented! The owner, Julianne, kept reminding me that it was what was best for ME that was most important to them. I couldn’t have asked for a better hair and make-up crew in my corner!

As a Covid bride, I had a lot of stressors, but working with JuLea Beauty Bar was not one of them. My original date was May 16th, but I had to postpone to September 5th and they worked with me to make sure I still had the team I was comfortable with. I had a bridal trial in March and decided in August, I really wasn't happy with my hairstyle. Although they were extremely busy, they were able to fit me in and I was able to ease my mind with a hairstyle I was happy with.
The day of my wedding was smooth and I couldn't be happier with how my hair and make up came out. They made sure I was satisfied with my look and everyone in the bridal party. I honestly felt the most beautiful I ever have and know that all of my bridal party were happy. My mom NEVER wears fake lashes or much eye make up at all, but she did because she felt comfortable with JuLea Beauty Bar. If you are looking for a team of girls that are professional, on time, great at what they do, friendly and have a great sense of humor - this is your team! I can't recommend them more.

Julz and Ashley did a wonderful job on my hair and makeup for my wedding. As a COVID bride, I was not sure how the big day was going to turn out. During both the trial and day of, the beauty bar team took care to ensure guest safety while ensuring satisfaction. My hair and makeup trial (which I used for my minimony since my wedding was postponed) was FLAWLESS. My hair and makeup lasted well into the night! And Jules was even so flexible to accommodate my last minute request to do hair and makeup for my sister the day of! My sister came in and surprised me and it meant the world to have her hair and makeup done for all of our photos. I’m so very excited for our wedding makeup because I have never in my life felt as beautiful as the hair and makeup I had for my elopement with JuLea Lash. I would recommend them over ANYONE in a heartbeat!!
EDIT: I also used her services for our ceremony on 10/23/21 and was even happier than I was the first time—and all of my bridesmaids were too! This artist and her team are amazing and I cannot recommend enough. -

It was everything I was looking for and more
Julea beauty bar did an incredible job on me and my entire bridal party. We are all different races and ethnicities and they were about to accommodate every skin tone and hair type that we had. I was worried in the beginning because I had approximately 15 people that needed their makeup done, but they told me not to worry they got this. My special day came and their genuine warm hearted souls just filled the room with such positivity and life it made the whole getting ready process amazing. I showed them the look I was going for for the bridesmaids, and they mastered it. They made each and every one of us feel so beautiful in our skin and I couldn’t have been happier. These ladies showed that it was more than just a job, it was a passion for them, they did it with ease with a smiles on their faces. I couldn’t be more grateful and appreciative of the services they provided. They truly made my magical day magical. If you want your day to be as magical as mine book them now! -

Absolutely loved the work that JuleaLash and Beauty Bar did for my special day. I have used them when I was a bridesmaid at my friend's wedding last year, for my baby shower and of course my big day. My experience with JuLea Lash was wonderful, and I could not have been more pleased with my make-up! It lasted for over 12 hours and the make-up felt truly "me".
Originally, I had gone to Sephora for a make-up trial and
planned to just buy my own make-up to do it myself. I've never had my make-up professionally applied and felt it wasn't required. However, as the big day grew closer, I realized I wasn't fully comfortable figuring out how to apply my make-up to ensure it would last the entire day.
I reached out to several Pittsburgh make-up artists, and Ju Lea ended up being the best fit with both timing and price range.
Out of all my wedding vendors, Julianne was the most responsive with email and was the easiest to coordinate with. The make-up trial was a stress-free experience and she really listened to feedback as we played with colors and style. I'm not always the best at vocalizing my "needs", so I really appreciated how easy she made it to feel comfortable doing so.
On the day of the wedding, she was on-time, in the room and fully set-up before I even realized it had already reached make-up time. She was able to read whether or not I liked something from the trial / paid attention to feedback and truly nailed everything about my day-of look. If you go with Julianne, I promise you won't be disappointed. -

I hired Ju Lea Lash from their reviews and online portfolio (website + Instagram), especially since they have such a diverse clientele and you can tell that they don't just apply the same look on everyone. From the get-go, communication via email was prompt and they were easy to work with. And most importantly, I looked and felt like a queen after both my trial run and the Day Of looks were finished. Throughout the planning process, they were so quick to respond to all of my crazy questions, were easy to coordinate with, and were able to make accommodations when I needed more services than originally planned. On my wedding day, Leandra and Brooke arrived right on time and were so lovely! I had a very vague idea of the look I wanted and they brought it to fruition.
