JULEA BB is responsive, punctual and talented!

I struggled to find a team in Pittsburgh that had experience with brown skin and was lucky to come across this team! JULEA BB is responsive, punctual and talented! In my trial and on my wedding day, Lauren SLAYED! My makeup did not move and it was amazing! She gave me the glam of my dreams. I only wish I lived closer so she could do my makeup more. I plan to visit again just for a lesson from the JULEA team. If you’re looking for a group that can do your hair and makeup no matter your skin tone, hair texture etc- this is the way to go! Everything was excellent!

I recently had the opportunity to take a makeup lesson from Julianne, and I cannot say enough good things here. If it was possible to rate higher than 5 stars, I would.

I had been dealing with moderate to severe allergic reactions to the makeup I had been using around my eyes, and was fortunate enough to have been referred to Beauty At Its Best. Her expertise was invaluable. She accommodated my crazy schedule; recommended high quality products that best suited my needs (and completely alleviated my allergic reactions), and really just took the time to teach me how to apply each product.

I am extremely picky about who I let touch my makeup or hair, but I actually couldn’t wait to get in Julianne’s chair. She is just so knowledgeable, talented, and passionate about what she does. She helped me figure out the right colors for my skin tone, gave me tons of pointers about brushes, application, and what products best suited my needs, and helped me find a few bargains while she was at it. She’s also the brow QUEEN. I messed mine up a long time ago and thought it was hopeless, but she taught me how to achieve a really nice shape again in a very subtle, natural way with the right product/technique. She has also been really great about answering any additional questions after our appt as well. And it was really FUN! She has the best sense of humor and really makes you feel comfortable the whole time.

I feel so much better informed about my makeup now, and so much better about how I look. The thing about Julianne is that she has a way of making you look incredibly beautiful, yet effortlessly so. Her style is elegant, chic, and classy. And she’s such a great teacher, it’s truly a look you can “take home” with you. Julianne is a miracle worker, and you will be incredibly lucky if you have the chance to work with her! Highly recommend for everything from special events to everyday wear. I will 100% be going back, and can’t wait for my next appointment.

Great MUA experience

I hired JuLea Beauty to do my wedding makeup and they were so great and helpful! We had 3 bridesmaids, MOTB, MOTG, SIL, bridesman, and a few others get their makeup done and it all worked out really well. My makeup made me look gorgeous without looking not like me, which was exactly what I wanted. Julianne was great and worked with my Hair stylist to set up the Hair and Makeup trail for me and my mom. Thank you!

Phenomenal Hair & Makeup Artists who are super accommodating and such a blast to be around!!

Julea Beauty absolutely ROCKED our hair & makeup for my wedding on 11.18.2023! We had 8 total people getting glammed up – 2 moms, 4 bridesmaids, 1 bridesfairy, and me (the bride) – and every single one of us was absolutely in love with how our hair & makeup turned out! I was especially grateful for Juelz's ability to cover up my redness - I have a few weird health issues that cause me to turn BRIGHT red whenever I feel strong emotions (hello, wedding day!!), and I was really nervous about going full tomato during the ceremony. But thanks to Juelz, there was not a single spot of redness visible ALL NIGHT LONG!!

Juelz & her team were also extraordinarily accommodating. During my trial, I mentioned that the venue coordinator didn’t recommend getting hair & makeup done in the on-site bridal suite due to poor lighting. Juelz said she could bring extra lighting and we would be perfectly fine, and she was 100% right! They lugged 4 MASSIVE lights to the bridal suite, which saved us time and SO much anxiety from traveling from the hotel to the venue with our glam! Juelz also accommodated me by adding an additional makeup artist a few months prior to my wedding – we were originally scheduled to have 1 makeup artist and 2 hair stylists, with a 6:30am start time, but the additional makeup artist allowed us to start at 9:15am! As someone who is NOT a morning person, that was very appreciated! At the last second, I also decided to extend Juelz’s time on-site, as I was concerned about crying & sweating (I do both, a lot 😂). BEST DECISION EVER!! Juelz made me feel like a movie star, as she followed me around during pictures, continuously adjusting my hair & makeup to make sure I looked perfect for every single shot! My hair kept getting caught in my veil and earrings, but Juelz was there between every photo to un-stick me! After the ceremony, she gave me one final touch up, and I stayed looking flawless until 3am (see the attached crazed picture of me getting some air outside at 10:30pm)!

On top of being phenomenal hair stylists & makeup artists, Juelz & her team also matched the impeccable vibes of the bridal party, which is incredibly important on such a big day! They were jamming to my playlist & seemed to have a good time (I hope, at least!). Everyone was also extremely fun, friendly, and easy to talk to – they truly made our morning even more special! I wholeheartedly recommend Julea Beauty to anyone who needs hair and/or makeup done for any occasion!

Amazing Work!

I used JuLea Beauty Bar for my wedding, and I cannot recommend them enough. Julianne was kind, helpful and accommodating throughout the entire booking process. Natalie did our makeup the day of the wedding, and was flawless. She was patient, thorough, and made sure everyone looked their absolute best. Everyone from myself, the bridal party and mothers all looked stunning and we received countless comments on how nice our makeup looked the entire night. 10/10 would recommend them to anyone!

Amazing team!

I cannot recommend Julea Beauty Bar enough. I hired them for my wedding in April 2023 for my 7 bridesmaids and I. They were AMAZING! My bridesmaids raved about their hair and makeup & said it was the best they have ever experienced as a bridesmaid. Julianne did makeup & Chelsea did hair and they are both so talented and such nice people to work with! My hair/makeup trial was perfect. Julianne is so quick with communication and answered all of my questions. They were right on time and stayed on schedule the entire morning! Everyones hair/makeup held up beautifully all day long!! Book this team ASAP!!!

I used JuLea Beauty for my wedding on 12.31.22. I cannot rave about them enough!! The entire experience from booking through the day of was seamless! Julianne was so kind, helpful, and professional throughout the entire booking process! She explained the process so thoroughly and answered all my millions of questions lol! Lauren and Brooke did the make up the day of my wedding. Both were absolutely amazing and so talented! The totally killed it! My bridal party looked absolutely stunning and Lauren made me feel like an absolute princess! Literally made me tear up when she showed me the final product! Highly, highly recommend!!! Thank you all for helping to make my wedding day perfection!!

Perfect wedding makeup!

Lauren at JuLea Beauty bar truly helped me feel that my wedding day is the day I was my most beautiful. She is extremely talented, professional, and kind. I cannot recommend her work more highly - I would make the same choice every time. She did exactly what I wanted with my makeup and made sure that it suited me. She is a wizard at matching the base color and the makeup lasted all night (through plenty of dancing). I also really appreciated that she helped to make my mom and mother-in-law feel at ease in the makeup chair. Neither lady wears makeup often and she really made them shine without making them uncomfortable. She helped to make the wedding special and I cannot recommend her work more!

So accommodating and amazing work!

Julianne & her team are the best! They were extremely easy to communicate with throughout the entire process. We hired them for both hair and makeup for our big day. They graciously accommodated my large wedding party + 2 moms hair/makeup, and were very flexible when our grandmothers wanted their hair done at the last minute as well. They are true professionals and masters of their craft - everyone looked incredible and their hair & makeup lasted the entire day! We also loved the touch-up kits they provided for us.
I wore my hair down for the ceremony, and then decided to hire them to come back to pin my hair up for the reception - a choice that I highly recommend for other brides; they did an amazing job! Special thanks & shoutouts to Lauren (make-up), Brittany (hair), and Jessie (hair) for the incredible job they did with making my old hollywood glamour vibe wishes come to life!

If I could, I’d go on for hours on just how perfect not only my makeup but my bridesmaids makeup turned out! Finding and choosing Julianne was absolutely the BEST decision I could have made for our special day! Not a flaw in sight, tones matched better than I could have dreamed! So glad I booked!

Johanna from JuLea Beauty Bar was absolutely fantastic to work with.

Before booking, I had done quite a few trials with other make up artists, but none of them seemed to be able to capture the look I was going for. It wasn't until my trial with Johanna that I finally found the one!! She was so attentive and meticulous with her work, and made sure several times throughout the appointment that I was satisfied with the result. Fast forward to the date of my wedding, Johanna traveled over two hours to come on site and provide services. She came on time, prepared, and was a joy to work with. All of the girls in my party looked and felt so beautiful when she was done. 10/10 would recommend Johanna and JuLea Beauty Bar!

Secondly, when my MIL needed to add on services she without hesitation offered to bring another makeup artist. She made me feel heard in what I wanted and executed it FLAWLESSLY. I still can't get over how perfect it was!! 100% would book again for any other makeup needs and will recommend to friends. Large wedding party

Everyone was extremely timely and mindful of my large party . 10 girls needed makeup done and we still stayed on time for the wedding.

Amazing experience!

Juelz was absolutely amazing and professional. Her communication was seamless from the first day we spoke. She did a bridal trial on me to make sure I liked my makeup before the day of, and gave me the look I wanted for my wedding day. I accidentally gave her the wrong start time for the wedding day and she was flexible and made the changes necessary without any issues. She was on time, had all materials, and was beyond friendly. There is no one else I would choose for my big day, she exceeded all expectations! Thank you, Juelz:)

I accidentally gave her the wrong start time for the wedding day and she was flexible and made the changes necessary without any issues. She was on time, had all materials, and was beyond friendly. Made me feel like a princess

Julianne and her team are absolutely amazing. All of my bridesmaids got their make up done and each one of them LOVED the final look. As for me, the bride, Julianne brought out the princess in me. Hotter Than July!

We had makeup services for our engagement photo shoot and wedding, and we are so happy that we found Jules. Finding an inclusive, welcoming, skilled makeup artist as a same-sex couple was important. We came in for a consultation and were immediately impressed with the layout and aesthetics of the makeup bar. The ambiance, the colors, the furniture, and the cleanliness of the space were top-tier! It was evident that she holds a high standard for presentation. In addition, we were treated with the utmost hospitality as she offered snacks and wine during our services. Jules made us feel at home, respected, and also celebrated.
Regarding our makeup, we wanted to create a beautiful and feminine look—finding something that allowed us to stand out as individuals and as a couple was essential. She talked with us and helped us create a look that did just that. Jules made sure we had a 5-star experience. She provided details about the various products she uses and skin care. Jules and her colleague conveniently came to our hotel on our wedding day. Both came stocked with fresh products and supplies, vanity lights, and a makeup chair which was great because lighting and seating can be challenging at hotels. They both were professional, patient, and open to feedback. Together they did ten faces with lashes in 5 hours on one of the hottest days in July! Afterward, we received a touch-up bag with items that helped us keep our makeup together for when the inevitable tears of joy started streaming down our faces. They understood the assignment and executed it very well. Our makeup accentuated our features and paired well with our dresses. We all looked like we had stepped out of a magazine! JuLea Beauty Bar checked all of our boxes and then some!

Lauren from JuLea Lash Beauty Bar absolutely killed it on my wedding day makeup!! All of my bridesmaids, my mom, my cousin, and one of my very good friends looked absolutely amazing. Lauren was very professional while also enjoying our music and jammin out with us. We all felt so comfortable with her. My makeup stayed perfect through the hot hot day and all the sweating at the reception, the kisses on the cheek, the flowing tears. I didn’t crack with all the smiling and laughing and crinkling of my face. I literally couldn’t have been any happier or satisfied with the all around experience. I changed my whole look from our trial and she nailed it! I felt like myself but with a beautiful glow! My whole bridal party was amazed by her work and really enjoyed spending time with her! Jules is an expert and knows how to make you feel beautifu!

Jules has a keen eye for detail and she can work with any skin color! The bride’s makeup looked phenomenal from early in the day until she turned in for the evening (2am). Jules is fast, extremely skilled and knows how to make you go from drab to fab in 30 minutes. We received so many compliments on the makeup.

Julea and her team were super professional and responsive. I asked many questions and had a few updates the week leading up to my wedding and she was very accommodating and replied super fast (even at 11pm the night before the wedding!)
Last but not least - I almost cried at the way my H&MU was done. It was a hot sunny day and the makeup did NOT melt! Different skin tones and hair types were not an issue.
