I hired Vesta & her amazing team for my own wedding (and bridal shower)! after they did my hair & makeup when I was part of my friend’s bridal party, and I’m so glad I did. Vesta is a true expert in her craft. From the beginning, she heard my vision of how I wanted to look on my wedding day, and used her skilled hair & makeup abilities to make it come to life. In moments when I wasn’t sure of what I wanted, Vesta helped guide me in the right direction, and her instincts were correct every time. She & her team bring a calm & pleasant energy, which is exactly what every bride needs on their wedding morning. Her team did the hair & makeup of my bridal party, as well as my mom, beautifully and actually ahead of time on our strict wedding day schedule. Not only that, but the looks they created lasted all the way through until the end of the night. My hair was in a bun that barely moved an inch even after several hours of dancing! I have full trust in Vesta & her team, and would recommend them to anyone. Even though my wedding is over, she will still be my first call whenever I need my hair or makeup done. I HIGHLY recommend Vesta! She is an incredibly kind compassionate caring warm person with good energy and positive vibes. She instantly made me feel comfortable at my trial which made me look forward to working with her on my wedding day. The wedding day had a few bumps as they do but Vesta remained calm and worked with me to make sure everyone would be ready on time. She also helped keep me calm which is a feat lol she’s also incredibly talented and did a phenomenal job! She made me feel absolutely gorgeous on my wedding day and I kept getting compliments all night! Amazing Artist and Person
Booked Vesta for hair and makeup for a photoshoot and she was absolutely AMAZING!! I asked her for her professional opinion on my updo, and she gave me great advice and did an amazing job. Even after she did my hair, she felt it was missing something and put pins in my hair that were hers. Super sweet and kind. She did a soft glam look for my makeup and I looked stunning. Everyone in my photoshoot said I looked like a princess. I would definitely book her again and recommend her to everyone. Such a great artist and person!

My Desired Look
My service with Vesta was AWESOME. She arrived on time. Once i informed her of my theme and desired look and she saw my nice brown complexion she performed her magic. Also my makeup lasted all night too which was good for my post wedding celebration. I did not need anything else, my look was completed and I was satisfied beyond my expectations. My husband & I loved my makeup look for our wedding & all my guests complimented me on how beautiful I looked, I felt beautiful too. i kept staring at myself all day because i was still at awe of my look. Wedding hair and makeup - amazing work!
Vesta did both me and my mom’s hair and makeup for my wedding day 9/28/2024. I first discovered Vesta almost 10 years ago when she did my hair and makeup for my senior prom, and knew I had to use her for my wedding! Vesta is truly a skilled artist and has a talent for knowing what looks best. She does hair and makeup for TV as well which especially gives her the expertise of knowing what looks good on camera. My mom and I were so happy with our hair and makeup, and it stayed the whole night even with a rainy day. My makeup looked perfect in all lighting. Vesta is a pleasure to work with. She’s very calm, professional, and warm which made the morning go smoothly. I would highly recommend!!

I had an amazing experience working with Vesta for my hair and makeup on my wedding day. The communication was excellent both before and during the event—she responded promptly to my texts and calls. I also did a trial at her home, and I was very pleased with the results (some pictures included).
Vesta has a warm and inviting personality. She brings a calming and positive energy to her work. Her extensive experience (15 + years) in doing hair and makeup for TV set me at ease, especially since it was my first time having professional hair and makeup done. Her background in painting and art history from multiple cultures gives her a deep understanding of color and style, which I truly appreciated. She knows exactly what type of makeup works well for the camera. I wanted my makeup to look natural and accentuate my features, and Vesta perfectly understood my vision. I received countless compliments on my makeup throughout the day.
Working with Vesta was a delight—we chatted about my work as a teacher, my future plans for married life, and she shared her own journey, which I enjoyed hearing about. As a fellow animal lover, she and I connected on that level as well. I contacted Vesta in a last-minute search a month before my wedding after my planned stylist fell through -- and I couldn't have been more thrilled that we found each other. Vesta was a wonderful partner the whole way through. She was incredibly communicative and flexible from the very start, even with a giant wedding party and several changes on my end. During the trial, she really listened to my thoughts and preferences and gave me the gorgeous Marilyn Monroe curls of my dreams. The day of, she came with a giant crew and was so friendly, fun, and sweet to all of my bridesmaids. Each left with a look that was true to them. Vesta even offered and made the time to come to our venue for a touch-up later in the day. Vesta is a wonderful person and a gifted stylist - I would recommend her to anyone in a heartbeat.

The Best Decision
I first met Vesta in 2018 when she was our MUA and hairstylist for my sister’s wedding. From that moment on I knew I had to have her for my wedding. Vesta is incredibly professional, a true artist, and a perfectionist. She knows exactly what she is doing and makes your vision come to life. Not only is she incredible at her craft, she is such a kind soul. She is someone you would want to spend the early morning of your wedding day with. She keeps you laughing, and puts your mind at ease. I was able to work with Vesta for so many events, and I will not be able to use any other hair stylist or MUA again. I had asked her to bring on other people for the day of my wedding, as we had a larger party to get ready, and her assistants did not disappoint. Everyone who got ready with me loved their looks, and we loved spending time with Vesta and her team. You will not go wrong with Vesta.

Stunning work that left my groom speechless
When I got engaged and began planning my wedding, there was only one person who I wanted to do my hair and makeup – Vesta. I first met Vesta in a corporate setting when she was hired to do my hair and makeup for a video shoot and I was struck by her professionalism, skills and ability to enhance a person’s natural beauty through the artistry of hair and makeup. After that day of working together, I didn’t want to take my makeup off or change my hair and never forgot how she made me feel that day. Fast forward to my wedding planning – from our first conversation she immediately understood my vision. We spoke several times exchanging ideas leading up to the wedding and she listened to what I wanted and how I wanted to feel on my special day. I could not have asked for a better experience and her work exceeded my expectations. My hair and makeup was flawless and even more importantly, my makeup did not fade and my hair did not fall throughout an outdoor wedding and full evening of dancing. In addition to doing my hair and makeup, Vesta also did my sister and mom’s looks. The day wasn’t frantic and her calming presence made all of us feel immediately at ease. I did not want to stress and she made sure of it! She was also incredibly kind and compassionate to my mother who has dementia and made her feel so special. She helped weave a thread of connection between my mom, sister and me by suggesting a small detail of having each of us wear a similar, but different hair clip. I had brought several clips and couldn’t decide so she placed one in my hair and two smaller ones in my sister and mom’s hair as well. It was so special. On your wedding day you want to feel your best self and I cannot recommend Vesta’s work enough – you will not only look beautiful but gain a friend.

Vesta and her team are the very best!!
Vesta was amazing - I found her through wedding wire, and I'm so glad that I did. She is warm and incredibly talented and experienced - we did a trial at her home and she was so fun to talk to, I knew she'd be a good match for my wedding party. Everyone was happy with their hair and makeup - my mom and now mother-in-law in addition to my friends. She brought in two other artists, Addison (makeup) and Ty (hair) to make the day go smoothly, and they were great too. They kept us on time and made us all feel beautiful - what more could you ask for?!
I highly recommend hiring Vesta to do your hair and makeup on your wedding day, you won't regret it!

I hired Vesta to help me and six other bridal party members with hair and makeup on our special day a few weeks ago, including our two bride & groom mamas. Vesta's services included: a preliminary consultation call, finding and coordinating an assistant stylist (Ty), a hair & makeup trial, and covered around 7 hours of on-site styling assistance on the day-of (including last minute touch-ups); a tremendous amount of assistance for an extremely affordable price!
From the first consultation call, Vesta put my mind completely at ease with her positive and bubbly personality and can-do attitude--which is all a bride could ever want. :-) Vesta was super accommodating with the day-of schedule, especially since the two mamas were unsure about which services they wanted. She helped me plan out our day-of schedule to be flexible to allow them to see her in action and make up their minds on-the-fly.
Our hair & makeup trial, which took place in her beautiful Brooklyn studio a few days ahead of the wedding, was less of a trial and more like talking to a long lost friend. :-) Vesta came with tons of ideas based on my initial inspirations, and she crafted a look that was so beautiful and emblematic of our special day and my overall wedding vision, that I STILL can't stop looking at those pictures! I honestly couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the final result, and I've never felt more beautiful!
On the day-of, Vesta and Ty arrived on-time and ready to rock and roll. Inevitably, there were some people running late, and Vesta and Ty helped me stay calm and work with what we had. In the end, everyone got done and looked GORGEOUS, and the mamas were so happy with their looks! Vesta knew exactly how to style everyone according to their tastes and what looked genuinely beautiful on them. I also want to note, I had a very diverse group of friends/family getting makeup done, and Vesta knew how to work with the full range of skin colors and profiles of my group. :-)
Overall, I could not recommend Vesta enough! You are VERY lucky if you manage to make it into her schedule -- and you will NOT be disappointed! :-) Thank you for everything, Vesta and Ty!!!

Lovely makeup artist/ hair stylist
Vesta is beyond a delight. She made me look outstanding for my wedding day. Her expertise with hair and makeup was phenomenal. I got so many compliments on my hair and especially my make up. The sweetest and best!
Vesta is warm, lovely, and so, so good at what she does. I did a trial for my hair and makeup, which I highly recommend, and then Vesta did hair and makeup for myself and my maid of honor on my wedding day. It was so nice getting to know each other at my trial - she is so wonderful to be around, and it helped me feel so much more comfortable on the wedding day itself. She really helped me create the type of look I wanted (something special for a special day but not overly glam) and it was so clear that she is extremely adept at a really wide range of hair and makeup styles. Whatever your vision is, she can help you make it happen! With so much going on, the day can feel hectic and stressful, but I just felt really happy and calm getting ready with Vesta. We had such a nice time, and the trial also really helped us hone in on how to approach my look for the day so I felt really confident going into it. She even gave me a little bag with powder, blotting papers, qtips, etc. to have with me since it was a long day ahead - it was very thoughtful and much appreciated. She did a wonderful job with my maid of honor's hair and makeup as well - we all just got along really well and had a great time! I can't recommend working with her highly enough.

Vesta was an absolute dream to work with!
I had a larger bridal party and wanted to include several relatives in the hair and makeup process for my wedding (there were 15 of us total) and Vesta and her team sprang into action to be able to accommodate us. She was extremely communicative throughout all of the planning and always left me feeling like I was in good hands.
When I went in for my trial she took time to listen to what I wanted and offer guidance and advice that was extremely personal to me and my needs, and not just what "brides should do". As someone who is not hair or makeup literate I really appreciated the guidance -- and boy did it pay off!
If I ever find myself needing professional hair and makeup services again I will definitely be reaching out to Vesta!

Vesta was amazing for both hair and makeup for my wedding in March 2023. From the start--at the consultation--she was collaborative and creative. She listened to my ideas and concerns. The day of my wedding she did hair and make-up for myself, my maid and matron on honor and my mom. We were all thrilled with the results. I looked like my self, but elevated and more glamorous. Exactly what I wanted. So many people at the wedding complemented me on my hair and makeup. Vest also has a wonderful and calming demeanor that was great during a very hectic time. Her prices are very reasonable compared to the other vendors from whom I got quotes. Overall it was a fantastic experience and I would highly recommend Vesta to anyone needing hair and makeup for their big day or any special occasion.

Spectacular work
Vesta is an experienced and gifted artist and this comes through in her work. She does a lot of commercial work as well (hair and makeup for entertainment industry events, commercials etc) so that may be a part of it. I will let the pictures speak for themselves, but also worth mentioning that my hair and makeup held up even through an hour long ceremony in 95 degree heat (the church was not air conditioned). She was patient and thoughtful during the trial, experimenting with looks until we figured out something that was perfect for the big day, and providing guidance while also making sure the style was true to my preferences. She was also a dream to work with, communicative, prompt, and clear / fair on pricing. Her team was wonderful as well- and all of my bridesmaids were thrilled with their looks. Would absolutely recommend!

Friendly, responsive, relaxed, flexible -- fully invested in our big day!
Vesta was such a joy to work with for our wedding -- friendly, responsive, relaxed, flexible, and with an artistic eye that went far beyond her talent for makeup and hair! For a reasonable travel fee, Vesta was kind enough to travel upstate for the full weekend in order to be at our farm venue at 7am in time to cover both hair and makeup for our full wedding party. By the end of the day, she was not just our vendor but another member of the family fully invested in the success of our day.
Vesta took extra time with my advance trial to try out several styles and ensure I was happy with the result. My default is to be quite minimal on makeup, and Vesta did a wonderful job of finding a makeup style that made me feel extra beautiful and bridal without being too glam or over-the-top. She also created a beautiful braided updo for me with tendrils and woven flowers that matched the casual elegance of our farm wedding while staying securely in place through the night on the dance floor.
Vesta was very responsive in communications leading up to the wedding, and in addition to doing an incredible job on my own hair and makeup, she created a range of beautiful styles for my bridesmaids based on their individual requests. Despite a tight time schedule, and despite being set up in a farmhouse common area with onsite guests roving in and out throughout the morning, Vesta stayed calm and relaxed and got to know our friends and family as she worked -- and stayed to help with touch-ups during the photos as well. (Vesta also has a great eye for photography!) Vesta was completely invested in our wedding, and we felt so lucky to be able to work with her for our big day!

Can't say enough wonderful things about Vesta and her team. She executed my hair, my 5 bridesmaids, and two moms flawlessly. Hair withstood a windy photo shoot and makeup outlasted many many happy tears. She is a joy to have around the morning of your wedding and will bring only make the getting ready period more fun. Incredible Hair and Makeup Artist
The reason I picked Vesta (in addition to her reasonable rates) was that I felt, looking at her photos that she really cared about making each person look their best. She didn't just do the same makeup on every bride. My actual experience with her was even better! She made me feel so comfortable, so beautiful, and was such a pleasure to have around in the morning before the wedding. My hair and makeup held up all day/night and everyone commented that I still looked like myself, only better.

Talented & a joy to work with
I worked with Vesta for BOTH of my weddings. One was mid-pandemic for my very small outdoor elopement in 2020, and the most recent was for my reception in 2021. I LOVED my hair both times. I also loved worked with Vesta because she's very positive, fun and contributed to the exciting wedding day experience.
We first met when I went to her home studio in Brooklyn for a trial run. She did multiple styles for me, taking my dress, the venue and my overall style into account.
She was very sensitive to the pandemic (she wore a mask both times), and she was extremely talented, working with about 9 ladies for my reception. My bridesmaids, my mom and my mother in law all loved their hair as well.
She was so easy to work with and made us all look amazing.

Amazing Make up Artist
She is an amazing person and make up artist! Honestly, when I was planning my wedding I was so scared to look/ hire a make up artist because my acne condition does not make my skin look pretty at all, but Vesta proved me wrong, the make up that she used was amazing, did not even make my face feel cakey, itchy or breakout. I felt so beautiful on my wedding day! she and her assistant was wonderful. The best part about it, is I felt at ease with her, I think that is important too when you hire someone.

Vesta did a wonderful job with my hair and makeup for my wedding and reception! She also did hair/makeup for my sister and mother. Vesta is very professional and as a South Asian bride, I can attest that she is a pro with South Asian features! I loved that I looked like a more glam but still natural version of myself and it was not overdone. She created 3 different looks for all my events and outfits. Also, in light of Covid, Vesta was very flexible and accommodating with scheduling changes, and she is covid-safe! I highly recommend her and will hire her for future events.

Wonderful artist and caring person!
Vesta is a talented makeup and hair artist. Not only that, but she is a sweet person and a pleasure to spend time with.
For my makeup, I wanted to look like myself (only flawless.) I didn’t want to have a color scheme or crazy big eyelashes making me look so different than how I normally look. My fiancé said he wanted to look at me and it to not look a different person than his beloved fiancé! Vesta made this happen. I was thrilled with how the makeup turned out. It lasted the whole day and evening.
For hair, I initially had trouble getting curls to stay in my hair. Vesta recommended I buy extensions and gave me information on the type of extensions and where to buy them. I wore my hair down, with curls, since that is how I look best in photos. Vesta created curls that lasted the entire wedding. My hair was stunning, and I was thrilled.
Vesta was truly a sweet and caring person. I had my makeup trial at her home before my bridal shower and had to take a train from Penn Station later. I did not predict that my uber would not be able to access her home due to half marathon street closures. I called Vesta in a panic. She calmed me down and directed me how to reach her by subway or by walking. When I arrived all flustered, she made me feel so welcome and offered me tea. Afterward, since we were tight on time due to my arriving late, she even drove me to the subway! This was the person I wanted to have around on my wedding day!
On the wedding day, I didn’t have bridesmaids, but Vesta and her assistant did the hair and make up of me, my mom, my mother-in-law, two sisters-in-law and two flower girls. The time took longer than anticipated so I am glad we had the assistant. Vesta was a pro and even helped me steam my gown since I didn’t know how to do it. She clearly has lots of experience with wedding day prep and calming down nervous brides! Vesta was fabulous and I’d highly recommend her.

Everything was perfect!
I hired Vesta to do my hair and makeup for myself, 6 bridesmaids and 2 mothers on my wedding day. I had her to do makeup and hair trial initially. I didn't know exactly what I wanted, but I was able to send her photos of what I was thinking, and she was able to translate it for me during the trial. On the day of, we had both her and her assistant. They made all of us feel and look amazing the entire day. She was truly a dream to work with. I'm an Asian bride and was concerned about looking clownish (I've had other makeup professionally done before and didn't look right because the artist didn't understand my features), but she totally understood my look. We were all able to send her a photo of what we wanted, and she could replicate the exact look (Blake Lively Hollywood waves were a common request with my group). Every single one of my girls were impressed with her, and we all felt like we looked our best. She was incredibly kind and professional the entire day, and I was so happy I had her with us.

Vesta did an amazing job making my beauty vision come to life. She took my inspiration pictures and gave me the perfect braid crown and semi-natural make-up I was looking for. Vesta is an incredible person and professional-- even through a stressful experience I never had to worry about looking the part! She was so communicative in setting up the consultation and was a joy to work with--she was such a hospitable host in her home even though I was there for a professional consultation. She came to my house promptly for an early morning (~4am!) session the day of the wedding and actually made the getting ready process fun for me, my sister, and mother at that hour (she certainly goes above and beyond). From the second Vesta invited me into her studio for my trial, I felt comfortable. She is extremely talented and warm. She does both hair and make up and works efficiently and quickly. I can not say enough good things about Vesta. I found her online and after having two failed make up trials I didn’t have high hopes. She was very easy to deal with and book. I went to her place for my wedding make up trial and she listened to what I wanted and did just that. Apart from her being talented she is very sweet and personable. She made my time there enjoyable and I felt like I was hanging out with a friend. I hired her for my wedding day. The day of the wedding she arrived on time and I was shocked to find out she even had some car issue on her way yet she made it a priority to make it to me on time. She put aside her own issue which shows how professional she is. She did an amazing job on my hair and make up. I got tons of compliments on how great I looked. She even stayed a little longer after she was finished with me to help me into my dress since my wedding coordinator was no where to be found. If you need a make up artist then look no further, Vesta is simply amazing.

A special thanks to Vesta for the amazing job did with my hair and makeup on my wedding day. As soon as she walked into the hotel room, I knew I was in capable hands. Vesta showed up on time, she is very professional and a lovely person. My sister's hair turned out wonderful, too. Everyone who has seen my wedding photos, complimented how great my hair and makeup looked .I was so lucky to have her take care of me and to say that I loved the outcome, is an understatement. I also enjoyed our chat while she worked. Vesta made my wedding day unforgetable.

I'm so glad I found Vesta to do my wedding makeup! After my first trial with someone else was a total flop I was worried that this makeup process was going to be more difficult and more expensive than I initially planned. Luckily, after my trial with Vesta I knew that was not the case! On the day of the wedding she arrived to our hotel on time and did my makeup, MOB and most of my bridesmaids. Everyone was very happy with her services and her price felt very fair. I could not cover the cost of makeup for all my bridesmaids so made it optional for them. Vesta provided me with some photos from my trial and the cost which as I mentioned already, felt very fair so I felt good about asking everyone if they were interested. My girls all looked so gorgeous and our photos came out great. It helps to have someone who knows how to make you look good in person but also in photos which she does. Vesta even took a few shots with her own professional quality camera when she was done and sent them to me later. They're gorgeous closeups and not like any of the shots we got back from our photographer so I was very happy to have those as well!

I was so happy to work with Vesta for my wedding day! From our first meeting she was a great listener (especially for me, a hair and makeup novice!) and tried lots of different things to find the perfect look. On the day of the wedding she and her two assistants were wonderful - quick and friendly and made everyone feel at ease. I absolutely adored my final look and those of my bridesmaids and mother. She was very flexible, as well, squeezing in a special family member for makeup at the end, as well. She stayed after our first look photos to make sure everything was perfectly touched up for the ceremony and made us all feel beautiful! Highly recommend for wedding or any special event!

Vesta is an amazing makeup and hair artist. She worked with my 2 bridesmaids, mom, mom-in-law, and I. My husband and I had a fusion American and South Asian (Indian) wedding and Vesta gave me the hair and makeup looks I needed. I knew from my trial that she was someone special. With her, I felt comfortable and beautiful in my own skin. She does amazing things with makeup. Her TV experience is one of many things that makes her truly special. She seems to know exactly how to work the makeup so that everyone looks flawless, both in pictures and in person. Not only is she talented, she is also very kind and has such a bright and happy personality. You can tell that she is genuinely happy for you as she working on making sure you look and feel your absolute most beautiful. Bottom line - I will hire her anytime I need hair/makeup done and also recommend her to anyone seeking a highly skilled artist!

Vesta was so great to work with. She did the hair and makeup for me, my bridesmaids, and two moms and she did a phenomenal job on each one. She was punctual and worked SO fast, keeping us on a really tight schedule. We also had a really fun time hanging out with her on the day-of... some makeup/hair folks can be a little too chatty, but Vesta is awesome. All of my bridesmaids loved meeting her and had a really fun time despite the stress of the day. The hair and makeup held up really well despite the August heat & humidity. Also, having now worked with a lot of vendors who are a real headache to work with, I was so grateful for Vesta's responsiveness and flexibility. She made the wedding planning a little less stressful.

I got married this past July and came across Vesta on wedding wire, when we had our trial we bonded and she was able to take my idea for makeup come to life and go beyond expectation. She did me, my bridal party and other family members. She was able to get 8 people done quickly and efficiently - everyone LOVED their makeup. She was awesome!!!

My experience with Vesta was nothing short of exceptional. I was an out of town bride with no knowledge of New York make-up artists. I found Vesta on Thumbtack. Her price point was reasonable and within my budget When I reached out to her, she responded promptly and warmly. I arranged to do a consultation with her beforehand. It was fantastic! She was professional and easy to talk to. I felt like she listened to what I wanted and took the time to make sure she could meet my wishes. My wedding day was no different. She was punctual and ready to work as we planned. Vesta made sure that I loved everything about both my hair and makeup. Not only did I look stunning, but so did my bridesmaids. One of my bridesmaids was a little difficult, and that was a true testament to Vesta's character. She was patient and reassuring. She kept working with her until she was comfortable. In the end, my bridesmaid was snapping selfies all night! I feel so blessed to have found Vesta and would recommend her to anyone I know getting married in or around New York.

Vesta did the hair and makeup for myself, my family, and a flower girl for my wedding. We were so happy with all of her work. Everyone looked beautiful in the photos and throughout the whole day. My wedding was outdoors on a hot day in June and Vesta knew what was best so that our hair and makeup would last. She is also a very kind person and easy to talk to while she's working and we're getting ready. She will listen to what you want, or come up with an idea if you don't know how you want your hair or makeup. She is extremely talented and I am so happy she was able to be a part of my wedding day!

I hired Vesta based upon other wonderful reviews I had read, and they were accurate!!!! She is not the most expensive yet not the least . I first used her for a engagement pictures scheduled at 8am. She came to my hotel room at 445 in the morning to fit me in before her regular job! She was very easy to work with and there were absolutely no problems. She made my hair and makeup look amazing . On the wedding day she did 3 people in addition to me and everyone looked beautiful!!! Wow!

I'm a wedding photographer who has worked with Vesta multiple times and I couldn't recommend a makeup artist more! She is not only great at her job, with skills in both normal make-up application and air-brushing, but she's also incredibly kind, warm and will make everyone in your wedding party feel beautiful regardless of how she styles you! In particular, she understands how to apply make-up in a way that looks beautiful both in person and on camera - so you don't only look great the day of but in your photos to look back at for years to come. 5 Stars isn't enough!

Vesta is AMAZING! She's super sweet and a very experienced makeup artist. She can do any look from natural to more of the smokey eye look! She takes her time to make sure everything is done perfectly. My make up did not run off at all during my wedding ceremony and reception (highly recommend air brush!) Overall, her work is excellent and she is a very talented artist. I highly recommend her!

I can't say enough amazing things about Vesta! She did such an amazing job on our hair and makeup for my wedding, and she's so sweet to work with, too! Her price also can't be beat for the quality of work that she does, and is one of the few people who doesn't charge crazy prices just because of the word "wedding." I wanted something kind of funky, but I knew that my bridesmaids would want standard hair and makeup, and she was able to do it all. She was really accommodating when I asked for a second trial to tweak some things and do more experimenting with my look before the big day. Her passion for her work shows, and she really listens to what you want, but also has a great creative eye for helping you figure out what would work best. If I had to give 1 critique, it would be that we ran over in time a bit. We had plenty of time in our schedule so it didn't affect timing of other things much, so just make sure the day of schedule isn't too strict. I would highly recommend Vesta, not just for the amazing work that she does, but she's a wonderful, sweet person to have by your side the day of.

Vesta is amazing. She did my wedding makeup, and the makeup and hair of my bridal party. When people at work saw my wedding photos, the most common response was, "THAT'S YOU?!" and I know that Vesta is the reason for this.
Vesta gave us so much of her time. My sister joined me for my makeup trial, and started mentioning her hair visions for the wedding, she did an impromptu hair trial as well. She gave us ideas of how to make the hair even better by adding fresh flowers. Vesta listened to everything I asked for, and she did my makeup perfectly so that it would last through the night. Her flexibility shone through when a few of my bridesmaids decided at the last minute they also wanted their makeup done, and one decided that day that she wanted it done. I couldn't be more grateful for Vesta, and I highly recommend her for your event.

Vesta was so great to work with... I was handling so much stress running up to the wedding, and I so appreciated Vesta's immediate and friendly communication. Her trial was wonderful in her beautiful Brooklyn loft, and she tried several looks with me until I found exactly what I was looking for. On the day of the event, she managed a challenging timeframe, arriving right on time and taking me from tired & stressed to beautiful and glamorous. I wasn't 100% sure about making the cost of a makeup artist fit into my very tight budget, but when the day rolled around I was SO glad I hired Vesta. She made me look amazing, and she was fun to work with. My makeup lasted from early morning through a flight that night! I couldn't recommend her more... she's great!!

We met her for a trial a few months in advance and she not only gave us so much time, but also tried out several different hair options for me. She took professional photos to make sure I was comfortable with my look before signing a contract. On the day of the wedding she did a beautiful job with hair and make-up for 7 people! She had great ideas for my hair and I was thrilled with the outcome! Her and her assistant did hair and makeup for our entire bridal party, including our moms and hair for the flower girls. They were very well organized and kept everyone calm and cheery the whole morning. Vesta's communication leading up to the wedding was fantastic and then trial was a blast! She takes photos of all her work (which are also fabulous) which I found so helpful during the trial. Vesta works tirelessly to achieve just what you had in mind. We got so many compliments on the hair and makeup (mine and all the ladies) throughout the day and after the wedding from guests and the other ladies in the bridal party. I highly recommend Vesta!

Vesta is a warm soul who is incredibly good at what she does. We used pictures I liked to figure out the style I wanted for my wedding and she was very open to what I was looking for. Her make up is great quality and the airbrush lasted all night long and I looked perfect for my day. Vesta was amazing to work with. She did hair and makeup for five people (without any help!) and everyone loved how it came out. I even changed how I wanted my hair done since the trial, and she rolled with it and I couldn't have been happier with how everything came out. Definitely recommend!

I hired Vesta to do my hair and makeup for my wedding. I'm very pleased with the experience and would definitely recommend her. She listened to what I wanted and gave me lovely hair/makeup. But more than that she was just a lovely person to work with. She was easy to talk to and put me at ease.
Communications were great; I sent her photos of hair/makeup I liked and we talked over that. A few weeks before the wedding we did a trial run at her gorgeous apartment. The trial run lasted a good four hours - Vesta didn't rush it at any point, even trying out two different "up-do" hairstyles on me until we were happy. She listened to what I wanted and responded.
On the wedding day itself I was running a little late and was stressed out but Vesta's calming personality helped ease me a little. She again did great hair and makeup (I still had all my eye makeup on largely intact the next morning - I know it's bad that I didn't take it off, but it shows it was long lasting!). She also helped secure my headpiece. Both on the day and at the trial she also took nice photos that she shared with me.
She's 100% competent as a hair/makeup artist but she also adds that little extra in that she's calming, makes you feel relaxed, and says very sweet things. Recommended.

I must say from the moment I came across her page and website I had a STRONG feeling that Vesta would be my wedding day make up artist. I reached out blindly and received a response from her via Thumbtack. I gave her a call and her energy on the phone is what sold me. Her warm and happy nature was exactly what I needed for the big day. I decided to visit her for a make up trial and I was happy to have received such a warm reception, she asked questions on what I liked and didn't like made adjustments accordingly. I loved the look on that makeup trial day and knew it would be great on the wedding day. My actual wedding day make up was beyond amazing and the make trial did not stand a chance. She took her time and the attention to detail was amazing. I was looking for a Smokey eye, red lipped look and she gave me exactly that! Again that warm energy and spirit put me at ease and made the morning time getting ready part so much easier. I would definitely recommend Vesta Goodarz, she is an amazing talented artist as well as a sweet person.

Wow! I hired Vesta to do my hair and makeup for my wedding. I met with her a few weeks prior to the wedding to do a trial. I needed advice on what to do with my hair and told Vesta how I don't normally wear a lot of makeup. She listened to my concerns, and made some great suggestions about how best to get a loose updo and make up that would enhance my features, not overwhelm them. I was so happy with the trial that I booked her to do my bridesmaids' hair and make up on the day of the wedding as well. She was punctual, did a great job on all of us and her rates were so reasonable. I was so glad to have her come to the bridal changing room to do the hair and makeup, it was so much better than going to a salon. My bridesmaids and I were all so happy that both our hair and makeup stayed put throughout the night!

Vesta was an absolute delight to work with, she accommodated arriving at our hotel nice and early so there were no last minute panics on our wedding day. She made me feel and look utterly fabulous, and I felt like a princess on my wedding day. Vesta was an absolute pleasure to work--both professional and pleasant from start to finish. She was prompt with her email replies (and for her house call on the big day), and worked effortlessly to ensure that I had the look I was going for for both my hair and makeup. Even though I didn't do a trial with her, I was so so pleased with her work; my hair and makeup was perfect all day long and I received so many compliments throughout the day. As a bonus, she was so much fun to chat with during her morning visit--lighthearted, educated, and filled with interesting stories--she helped ensure the morning of my wedding was calm and enjoyable ;-) Best of all, her prices can't be beat!

My bridesmaid hired Vesta to do our makeup as a gift. All of us absolutely adore her. She is so likeable, patient, and of course talented. Not only are you getting a makeup artist, but you’re also getting a professional photographer. I did two trials with her because I wanted to see my makeup in a dramatic and natural look. So it was very helpful that she took fantastic pictures for me to compare which would be the best choice. I also appreciated her skill in applying makeup for women of all colors. I had girls of every shade in my wedding and Velma’s palette was prepared for us. Whether our skin was that of Tilda Swinton or Grace Jones, she had the foundation and she matched our tones perfectly. I had an Indian inspired wedding and she did a Bollywood look for my bridesmaids. They looked stunning. And the best part about hiring Vesta……her low rates! I’ll be surprised if you find someone as talented as she is who is willing to travel to you for what she charges. She’s very affordable and you’ll be getting so much in return. I have worked with Vesta on many occasions for my television shoots (she's a pro with HD make-up!) and hosting events and I'm happy to say that she's much more than a make-up artist to me, she's a dear friend. She is always punctual, incredibly skilled in her craft, and mindful of each individual's personal style. She made me look like a princess on my wedding day, which was a colorful Indian affair. Instead of the typical up-do, she left my hair natural with soft curls and a veil on top. I got compliments galore since no one had seen an Indian bride look like that. She stayed with me the entire day for my two outfit changes which reflected both traditional and contemporary looks. Vesta is the ONLY person I trust when it comes to make-up/hair because she delivers exactly what I envision and helps bring out my natural beauty. I highly recommend her. A++

Vesta was a joy to work with, she made me and my bridesmaids look GORGEOUS on my wedding day. Each of my girls had a different complexion and she brought out each of their beauty.
She was so flexible, during my trial we did something completely different than what she did on the day of and I was so happy with the results.
