Greg Lanzillotta from Beat Train Productions was an excellent DJ who went above and beyond to make our wedding celebration memorable. From our early planning stages, Greg provided valuable feedback on our initial song submissions in terms of what would fit best. He also did a great job pairing certain songs back to back in clever ways, and seamlessly wove in special cultural music we also wanted to hear. Greg was able to incorporate all of our “must plays,” and also impressed us with the other songs he played which went over very well with the crowd and kept the energy on the dance floor high. Greg also took the time to share playlists of the exact music played throughout the ceremony and reception so that we could relive the sounds from our special day whenever we’d like. All in all Greg was great to work with, and we would highly recommend him and Beat Train Productions!Beat Train Productions's reply:

We were fortunate to lock down Dre for our New Haven wedding in August, and she met our expectations in every way! We couldn't have asked for a better DJ. She had everything organized for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and receptions. Everything was seamless. She followed through with our recommendations, provided amazing input, and was hit with our guests. Our planner and the rest of our team loved working with her as well! Katy Sackett from Beat Train Productions was the DJ at our wedding this October, and we had an amazing time working with her! Katy met with us prior to the event and truly listened to our musical wishlist for the big day- and boy did she deliver! Our wedding was renaissance fair / steampunk-themed, and Katy did a wonderful job of putting together an instrumental setlist for the cocktail hour with only rough "vibes" from us as guidance! During the dancing, she expertly blended musical options from diverse genres- combining our nerdy must-haves with pop favorites that we (and the audience) couldn't help but dance and sing along to! Katy also provided mics for the major speaking moments during the ceremony and reception, and the sound was always top-notch. It's also notable that, due to unforeseen circumstances, Katy stepped in to DJ our wedding pretty last minute, which makes all this preparation that much more impressive!Beat Train Productions's reply:

We used DJ Jeff G at Beat Train for our wedding and he was AWESOME! He DJed my friend's wedding and was so great which is why we hired him and he truly delivered!! The dancefloor was packed all night, vibes were up right away, we got tons of compliments on the music selection, and he worked with us to incorporate specific songs and playlists we wanted while putting his own unique spin on it. Every song was a hit and now I have friends asking for his contact info for their weddings. He is super experienced and talented. We had so much fun! Thank you Jeff!! The company was also great to work with in general - very responsive, reasonably priced, and we filled out a very thorough survey on our music taste/wedding details & had multiple meetings with Jeff.Beat Train Productions's reply:

We had Dre from Beat Train Productions DJ our wedding and I would leave her six stars if I could. Dre has great energy, listened to our suggestions, and had the dance floor going the entire night. Jeff was the DJ for our wedding and was a joy to work with. He is a consummate professional: timely, friendly and responsive. He was able to make suggestions while also being super flexible to our unique music tastes. He has a great announcer voice/presence and is experienced enough to handle any hiccups that naturally occur during these types of events, such as last minute changes in the program. His ear for what will get a crowd going is excellent - we were delighted to see family members on the dance floor we never would have expected to see up there! During the latter part of the evening, his mixing skills were able to shine and a lot of his choices were totally new to us and exciting to the guests. We couldn’t have asked for a better DJ than Jonas Weissberg for our Wrentham, MA wedding, hired through Beat Train! From start to finish, Jonas was incredibly professional and easy to work with. He kept the evening running smoothly as an excellent MC, handling all the announcements and transitions perfectly.
One of the highlights of the night was the custom mix he created for my dance with my daughters — it was personal, seamless, and absolutely unforgettable. Jonas played an amazing selection of music that appealed to all ages and kept the dance floor packed all night long.

Our DJ, Matt Perry, did an incredible job for our wedding at Migis Lodge. Matt began discussing our vision for the wedding over 6 months before the date arrived and really listened to what our goals for the evening were. Beat Train had a music planning form that made the whole process pretty straight forward and even helped us think of somethings that we hadn't considered before. During the wedding itself, Matt brought a high level of both professionalism and fun and was able to get everyone, old and young, dancing from the first to the last song of the evening. DJ Jeff D was an amazing wedding DJ! The dance floor was packed all night long, and we've heard from many of our guests that he was one of the best wedding DJ's they've ever experienced!
He was friendly, professional, and easy to communicate with in the lead up to the wedding. He also understood our vision for the evening and absolutely delivered.

We hired DJ Gonzalo for our wedding based on his music portfolio, which stood out to us—especially his EDM mixes, which closely aligned with our musical taste compared to other DJs from Beat Train.
Our first meeting was a no-show, but during our second meeting he apologized and explained he had been sick, which we appreciated. We requested a mix of EDM and K-pop/J-pop, and he was very open-minded and receptive to our vision.
On the wedding day, I believe our recessional song may not have been played after our kiss, likely due to the unexpected rain during the outdoor ceremony. I could be mistaken, but I only recall the processional songs being played.
There were some timing issues during the bridal party introductions—each pair had planned a short skit, but the announcements were made too quickly, which made it hard for the skits to land as intended.
After the cake cutting, he kindly asked if he could introduce some other genres to get guests dancing, which we thought was considerate. However, the dance floor was empty at the time since most guests were still eating cake. It’s possible he wasn’t aware of the exact timing, as his setup was in a tent adjacent to the dining room, which likely made it difficult to see what was happening in real time.
Later in the evening, the energy started to dip, but he did a great job reading the room and getting people back on the dance floor. His ability to adapt and adjust the music was definitely a highlight. -

Working with Maliyah from Beat Train was a wonderful experience! She was professional, organized, and super personable. As a queer and nonbinary couple, we felt very safe and respected by her. She met with us a few times ahead of the wedding to go over details, and Beat Train provided a nifty form that we could fill out with music selections. Based on what we talked about, Maliyah sent us a draft play list a few weeks beforehand, which we loved and got some great new music out of! The DJ set was incredible on the wedding day- we got compliments from a number of guests on the *excellent* selection and great transitions. 10/10 would recommend Maliyah and Beat Train. We decided to get an uplighting kit as a last minute addition and it really brought the ambience, we're so glad we made that choice. DJ Maliyah was by far one of the best choices we made for our wedding. She communicated often with us, answered any questions we had quickly, and brought such an amazing energy to our wedding day. We asked for "nerdy vibes" for pre-ceremony and cocktail hour, and she delivered. everything from our favorite video games, shows, you name it. We loved hearing the soundtracks from the things that brought us together, while we took pictures and caught up with friends. Maliyah timed everything out for us, from our processional music, to our first dance. She did the perfect amount of commentary for our liking, and the only "issue" we had, was that we literally could NOT stop dancing. David was a great DJ for our wedding! From the planning to executing the day of, David was nothing short of professional, detailed orientated, and very easy to work with. He made sure the transitions were seamless with timely announcements, listened to our requests, and played non-stop hits to keep the dance floor moving. Several of our wedding guests even mentioned how great the music was! Beat train had several DJs to choose from, at different price points which is helpful if you're on a tighter budget. We are SO beyond happy that we hired DJ Joe Lopez from Beat Train for our wedding!!! He was so communicative from the start, helping us plan along the way and giving us amazing ideas and suggestions that made our night so special– like inviting our friends and family out to the dance floor with us to join us during our first dance. He was on time, organized, and everything went so smoothly. On top of that, the reception music was amazing. We made a playlist of suggestions and sent Joe the link, but he took it and went above and beyond our expectations. He read the crowd perfectly – choosing what songs to play and when and adding his own – and it was PERFECT. We heard from so many people how great the music was, and all our guests, of all ages, were out on the dance floor literally all night dancing together. DJ Spencer did a fantastic job at our recent wedding. The wedding was in our backyard with about 80 guests, and the dance floor was jumping the ENTIRE time! He also did the music for our very small ceremony, cocktail hour, and dinner and everything was perfect. We gave him a little direction as to what we liked and he was able to take that and curate the perfect playlists for all parts of the wedding. We are in our early 50s, so we had a wide range of ages for musical taste – our late teen/early 20s kids up to our parents, and everyone loved the music! He also did a great job of listening to our wishes regarding how little we wanted to be in the spotlight and just made us feel very comfortable. Greg was an incredible DJ and emcee for our wedding, making the dinner and reception unforgettable! He handled all the key announcements flawlessly, from introducing the wedding party and speakers to announcing our first dance, the mother-son dance, the cake cutting, and the anniversary dance for married couples. He struck the perfect balance, being clear and engaging without being overbearing or too reserved.
The music Greg played was absolutely spot on. The dance floor was electric the entire night, with guests raving that they'd never been to a wedding where the dancing was so lively and continuous. Greg did an amazing job selecting tracks that kept everyone on their feet, and he skillfully mixed and transitioned between songs. He played all our "must play" songs and respected our "do not play" list, which we really appreciated.
There was a moment when a wine glass shattered on the dance floor, and Greg quickly stepped in to clean up the mess, ensuring everyone's safety before resuming his DJ duties. That kind of attentiveness and quick action went above and beyond our expectations.
Overall, Greg's professionalism, music selection, and seamless handling of the evening's events made our wedding truly special. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a fantastic DJ and emcee!Beat Train Productions's reply:

Beat Train Productions were great to work with every step of the way - the whole team was friendly and communicative. DJ Joe was incredibly responsive and easy to work with. We met with him several times before our wedding so that he could get a sense of the vibe we were going for. We had a somewhat non-traditional reception and DJ Joe really listened and took to heart what we asked for. We had a very eclectic group of guests, across ages and cultures, and he got everyone dancing. The atmosphere was just really fun and joyful and no one wanted the night to end. Everything was perfect. Jeff did an amazing job not only with the music itself (which our guests are legitimately still raving about over a month later) but also with understanding our desired emcee vibe (low-key, minimal) and executing everything perfectly. The dance music was perfectly tailored to us and our crowd, and I don’t recall any lulls in dancing. We were also so happy with the ceremony music, and the cocktail hour/dinner music had people coming up to us asking if we had created the playlist because it was so spot-on to our taste. I can't say enough good things about DJ Jeff Gilbride! We had an amazing consultation with him a few weeks before our wedding where he laid out everything step by step what to expect for our wedding. He was so easy to talk to and was always open to our suggestions and was able to fill in the blanks for us along the way. He did an amazing job laying out the scene of what our wedding would look like.
We had some last minute changes basically the day of the wedding and Jeff absolutely nailed them all without a single hiccup, we were so impressed with his professionalism!
Once the music started, no one left the dance floor! We had our friends in their 20/30's as well as our parents' friends in their 60/70's talking about how amazing Jeff was. Can't recommend him enough!Beat Train Productions's reply:

We could not have asked for a better DJ! Mariko had somewhat of a tough task with our wedding (although she made it look so easy). We had an interesting mix of ages as well as a decent chunk 'Spanish-only' speaking family at our wedding. Mariko played music that had every single person on the dance floor (not an exaggeration). Mariko also made a number of announcements/introductions that were perfect. Not too flamboyant as to steal the show...but with enough excitement and enthusiasm that passed over to our guests. Mariko is the REAL DEAL! She's extremely thorough and is determined to make sure there are no mishaps on your big day! I would recommend Mariko 10 times out of 10!Beat Train Productions's reply:

Kara is an outstanding DJ. We had such an eclectic playlist for our wedding and Kara made it all happen in the coolest way possible. We also had a separate vinyl cocktail hour and all of guests loved it! A professional through and through, Kara was an absolute joy through the whole process and we left the feeling like me made a friend on top of having a killer DJ on the most important day of our lives. My wife and I give Kara the highest recommendation for anyone looking for someone to curate their wedding day or event, an endless 5 Stars!

Hiring a DJ was our first task after selecting a venue, and Beat Train Productions was a great choice. We went with a more basic package (I.e., no Photo Booth or uplighting) and the price was very reasonable for the area. Jeff was our DJ for the day and he was awesome! He was very communicative during the planning and had 3 calls with us - intro, planning, and week-of logistics. He has worked many weddings at our venue (Providence Public Library) and had a lot of great suggestions for the flow of the reception and how to best use the space to get people on the dance floor. He respected our "do not play" list, even when a guest requested a song off that list. In retrospect I realize there weren't any slow songs during the reception, but we asked him to read the room/vibe and adjust music accordingly and that is exactly what he did. Multiple guests complimented me during the wedding that they loved the DJ and the music.Beat Train Productions's reply:

When looking for a wedding DJ, we were really nervous. We were so happy we found Beat Train, and that we got to work with Greg L. The whole process of working with Beat Train on covering the basics and selecting a DJ that fit with our style was very easy, and the whole team are very communicative. Once we met Greg, we knew we had made the right decision- he is incredibly friendly and easy to work with, and honestly helped plan the entire event! He asked us about every detail, including many things we had not even thought to plan. The consultations helped us visualize the whole day- from the steps of the ceremony, to the details of each part of the reception- and I am so thankful for the help. Choosing music was also very straightforward, and we were able to have as much input as we wanted. We put together playlists for each part of the day, and Greg did a fantastic job understanding the vibe we were going for and adding in his own complimentary selections. He truly did such an amazing job, there was never a lull on the dancefloor, and he even got the shyest among our guests dancing! TLDR:
Our DJ, David Victor, was the best! Everyone was so easy to work and communicate with! The tier structure makes it easy to choose someone within your budget who you vibe with.
The Deets:
Communicating with Beat Train Prod. was seamless from the initial touch-base through to our wedding day.
I like choices, so the tier structure and add-ons were a plus for my husband and I. We were able to learn about, meet and utlimately choose from several professionals within our price range.
We booked David Victor and he was just the absolute best! Extremely friendly, knowledgeable and professional from start to finish. David reacted quickly and expertly throughout the evening, adjusting volume and quickly making changes.
For instance, none of us realized our "entrance" to the dance floor would be about 5 steps! My husband and I launched into our first dance waaay too early, but David reacted quickly and switched from entrance song to first dance song so smoothly.
But how were the vibes?
IMMACULATE. Everyone was up and ready to dance ALL NIGHT! We got so many rave reviews on David's performance throughout the night (and long after!). We've already given our recommendation for David and Beat Train to many folks, no hesitation. We literally can't recommend them enough!

From the initial stages of planning to the grand celebration, Frankie was a delight to work with. What truly stood out was Frankie's adaptability. He effortlessly remade our wedding first dance to align with our timing preferences. The versatility in his music selection was outstanding, effortlessly transitioning between genres. His willingness to incorporate our personal requests, including Russian and Lao songs, added a personal touch that resonated with our diverse guests.

Working with DJ David Victor was easily one of the best decisions we made during our planning process. From our first phone call, he was kind, thoughtful, consistent, calming, and seemed genuinely excited to work with us and for our wedding. He made sure that every detail of the evening that involved him was to our liking and provided great suggestions when we couldn't decide. David expertly worked off of an inspiration playlist we made for him and added a few songs that were definitely crowd-pleasers based on the vibes we gave him. Awesome experience. We had 2 more weddings 2 weekends after our wedding. Our playlist from Brendan Lau was "songs you could dance to" according to the Best Man of other wedding #1. The DJ of Other Wedding #2 apparently didn't have consistency in flow and music, and this DJ couldn't get as many guests onto the dancefloor as Brendan could. I enjoyed it very much and Brendan was wonderful. He tried and succeeded in de-stressing my wife and I before our big day. Would definitely recommend!Beat Train Productions's reply:

I worked with David as my DJ and I told him early on how the music/dance floor were the MOST vital part of the wedding to me. The music ended up being I wanted it to be and more. I had sent over the Must Play List as well as a playlist with some songs I love to clue him into the vibe and he nailed it. Whenever David added songs, they were always the exact right one.
Getting to dance with my family and friends and husband to this wonderful music will be a memory that lasts a lifetime. David also nailed the perfect execution on things like the processional and the special dances.
Everyone I spoke to of ALL generations commented on how amazing the dance floor was and how fantastic his music selection was, with a lot saying it was the best DJ they’ve ever heard at a wedding, and I couldn’t agree more. He let songs play out for the exact right amount of time (not like most wedding DJs, who do 30 seconds and move on), and there were times I had to stop myself from dancing more so I could catch my breath! He even executed perfectly on my sister's speech, which had some audio elements I knew nothing about until it happened (that all came together day of!).

We hired DJ Brendan Lau for our wedding in Gloucester in July 2023. Having been guests at many weddings, we knew what we definitely didn’t want, but finding what we did want felt challenging. The best thing that happened to our wedding was DJ Brendan. We *cannot* say enough good things about him. Months later, we still have friends bringing up our wedding DJ in everyday conversation. Brendan’s commitment and skill likely surpasses weddings, but we are so thankful we had the opportunity to work with him. Brendan met with us multiple times leading up to our wedding to make sure he understood our likes/dislikes, the vibe we were going for, and what we hoped for from our DJ. Brendan far exceeded our expectations. Once the dance floor opened, we never left–there was no time! His mixes were so seamless and allowed just enough of each song to be amped that the song was playing, time to enjoy it and dance, and then before you could blink another banger was on. He hit the nail on the head for our wedding. Not to mention, it seemed like he was having fun, too and truly brought the perfect energy. Cannot say enough good things about David from Beat Train! One of the universal compliments we have received from our wedding is the vibe & how much fun everyone had on the dance floor all night. We also had certain music cues for both the ceremony & a special reception entrance and he nailed them all with precision. Beat train also has a very user-friendly digital portal that allows you to customize your wedding playlist exactly how you like, as well as each different portion of your day/night (playlist for the processional, playlist for the cocktail hour, playlist for the dinner hour, etc). If you want your wedding to be both fun, have a specific vision for the music & atmosphere, we cannot recommend David from Beat Train enough!

Not only did our musical tastes overlap a fair bit, but his energy level was perfect for a smaller wedding of ~60 people. We had the best time with Dj Brian M. He was so fun and really made our music vision come to life. He was so responsive, made multiple edits to our first dance song for us and our parents and really kept the crowd going wild the entire time.

So we hired Beat Train Entertainment and all I can say was that they are the best DJ Company you can go with! You will not be disappointed. DJ Gustavo was by far one of the best DJ’s and MC’s I’ve ever had the pleasure to deal with. My daughter in law gave him a playlist and all he did was mix those songs with today’s hot hits. All my friends, bear in mind I’m 58, loved the playlist he provided. The dance floor was never empty! DJ Gustavo also MC’d the event. He introduce all the wedding party as well as introduced me and my beautiful wife to the guests at the 74 Wythe Avenue rooftop deck. The last minute change of MC didn’t stop him from making us extremely happy. My son and daughter in law were over the moon on his professionalism and the way he adapted to last minute changes. We absolutely loved DJ Greg! He did everything at our wedding--the ceremony music, cocktail hour music, MC'd the reception, and kept the dance floor pulsing til the very end of the night!!! He was also incredibly well-prepared and communicative throughout the process. Greg's MC style was perfect for us, he was clear and organized, while staying lowkey and not dominating the night. When it came to the dancefloor, he knew exactly what to play. Greg perfectly mixed our requests with similar music we wouldn't have thought of that kept everybody dancing! We got in touch with Matt last year through BeatTrain to DJ our wedding in May, and after our first call with him, we knew he was the DJ we wanted. Not only is Matt a genuinely kind person, but he is very good at what he does. He was such a calm, fun, and encouraging presence leading up to the day - he took the time to get to know us, learn what we liked and didn't like, and really wanted to know how to establish the right vibe for us. Once he had that information he was super self-sufficient in pulling final song lists together, cutting down the parent dance songs, setting up, etc.
On the big day when the reception started, the dance floor was NEVER empty! Our family and friends absolutely loved him. He was amazing at reading the room and playing music that worked for everyone (while mixing in our own requests as well). As a music producer, Matt understands how to mix tracks without weird pauses, jarring shifts in tempo, or other rough transitions. It helped the whole night feel like one continuous party. Our guests were genuinely bummed when the last song played and I can't think of a better sign of a good DJ.
We would absolutely recommend working with Matt - we had nothing but a great experience working with him and are so thankful he was on board for our wedding! -

We chose Allie to be our DJ. Allie has such a friendly and kindred spirit! We couldn’t have asked for a better DJ to be part of our wedding festivities + atmosphere. From all the conversations we had with her while planning and prepping, Allie has been receptive, kind, and thoughtful. We gave a list of songs we liked and trusted her to make any additions if needed and she did a wonderful job on the playlist during our wedding day! She made it seem so effortless and smooth - we had so much fun together! All the audio setup throughout our venue was done well. One of our niche songs from LOTR played during the ceremony (and loved bonding with Allie over that) was a favorite- some of our guests recognized it too haha! DJ Mariko was such an incredible professional and it was such a pleasure working with her for our wedding. She worked with us every step of the way and not only curated the best music, but also was a trusted advisor. Cannot forget to mention that she had the dance-floor moving and the guests absolutely loved her energy and music choice. Beat Train also made everything super easy from begging to end and I would easily recommend!
