10/10 Beachside Occasions Experience

We used Beachside Occasions for our beachfront wedding, and we couldn’t be happier with our decision. They created a setup for our special day that exceeded anything we could have ever dreamed of. The arbor was absolutely stunning, and the arrangement of the chairs and aisle was nothing short of perfection.

Maggie was a complete gem to work with. She answered all of our questions with grace and patience, guiding us through the process since this was our first wedding and we had no experience with the unique details of a beach wedding. Her expertise and calm demeanor made everything so much easier for us.

On the day of the wedding, everything went off without a hitch. Maggie arrived with Jeff and Shane, introduced themselves, and got right to work setting up the most magical ceremony space imaginable—it truly looked like it belonged in a magazine. After the ceremony, while we were enjoying cocktail hour, the three of them seamlessly and efficiently disassembled everything without us even noticing. It was as if the magic had appeared and disappeared effortlessly.

We cannot recommend Beachside Occasions enough. If you’re looking to get married on the beach, this team is everything you could hope for and more. Thank you, Maggie, Jeff, and Shane, for making our wedding day unforgettable!

Nothing short of amazing!

The team at Beachside Occasions is nothing short of amazing! They were on the beach at 7am to make sure that our spot was saved and there were no issues with the public being in the space where we were having our ceremony. EVERYTHING was gorgeous, and set up perfectly. We had some personal requests for our family, and our wedding was not a typical wedding.. but they took our requests and turned them into reality. We are so unbelievably happy with everything that they provided for us.
They are the most down to earth, friendly and personable team that I have ever worked with for any event. If you are thinking about hiring Beachside Occasions for your wedding on the beach, they are hands down the best there is! We will always treasure the memories we made that day, and be grateful for how they made our dreams come true!

Perfect setup for beach wedding

They were on the beach at 6 am setting up and stayed there all day to make sure no one sat in the chairs or moved anything. I changed the colors of the sashes on the chairs and they were very helpful, they even sent me some songs for my ceremony. Also had water for our guests. Great company! Would recommend 100%!!

Gorgeous setup and amazing service!

Booking Beachside Occasions was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding! They found us the perfect officiant (Paul Biancardi was amazing), and was with us every step of the way. Maggie, Jeff and Paul came to the rehearsal and made sure all of our family and wedding party were on the same page. Their team was up early setting up in the exact spot we wanted on the beach and the setup was GORGEOUS! Maggie even helped put on boutonnieres and guided our wedding party (including the little ones) with where to go on the big day. Truly an amazing company to work with from start to finish and I’m so thankful they made our wedding so special!

Handled extremely well and had fun throughout the process.

Our big day went so smoothly thanks to Paul and Katherine. They walked us through everything from gaining the necessary permits, to who was sitting where. They made sure we were covered every step of the way and are true professionals.

Beyond Perfect During The Pandemic

Katherine and Paul took care of everything with such professionalism and ease for our big day. A lot of things can go wrong when you plan your wedding with an infant in a wagon, a sassy 6-year-old, a dwindling guest list due to The Pandemic, and 25 mile an hour winds for a “No Plan B” Beach Ceremony. But Katherine made it fun, and took all of my detailed requests to heart. She wrangled our guests, and even found my mother at the bar when the procession was ready to begin, while still managing to lead me and my daughter calmly down the shell-lined aisle. She coaxed everyone to sit and stand, and the music I chose was executed to my high performance standards. Paul did such an amazing job with the pavilion/fabric set-up, even with the high winds which didn’t make it easy. I will never forget how special they made my wedding day. If this wasn’t my third, and LAST (I swear)...I’d do it all over again. Thank you Katherine and Paul for your exceptional services. You guys need a raise.

Beachside Occasions Saved the Day!

We knew early on that Beachside Occasions was the vendor we wanted to go with for our 170+ guest wedding ceremony at Carolina Beach, NC. In March when the world stopped spinning and COVID flipped our wedding plans for May 2nd upside down, we were devastated. Paul and Katherine were quick to jump on the phone with me and reassure us that they were committed to doing our wedding no matter what changes we needed to make. They worked with us as we switched dates, decreased our wedding size down to 10 people, and continually reassured me that they were going to make this happen for us!!! And they did not disappoint! They made our wedding day SO special. It seriously brings tears to my eyes. I could not have imagined doing this without Beachside Occasions. The arch and flags were so gorgeous and really made it feel like a destination wedding!! The sound worked great and everything was just perfect. Having our wedding rescheduled due to a pandemic was heartbreaking, but Beachside Occasions went above and beyond to make sure we had the wedding ceremony of our dreams. When I look at pictures from our wedding, with my husband and I standing under that arch, I am so happy it turned out the way it did.

Extremely kind and helpful.

I loved working with Paul and Katherine. They were incredibly helpful during the entire planning process. Unfortunately we had to cancel my daughter’s wedding because of Co-Vid. They gave us a full refund even though the first deposit was non-refundable from the contract. Great people and very professional.

Great beach ceremony vendor!

We opted for a more simple and intimate design for our wedding. Katherine and Paul worked with us to create the perfect set up for our day. They were on time and flexible. They made sure no detail was overlooked. We really enjoyed having them be part of our wedding day. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

Great experience!

Beachside Occasions helped make our wedding day perfect! Paul and Katherine have more knowledge and experience in the business than I ever could've imagined. Planning long distance was stressful in itself, but they were willing to help in any way possible. I highly recommend them and their crew! The Beach Wedding Experts

Beachside Occasions managed our beach ceremony and officiated. THESE GUYS ARE AMAZING FOR BEACH WEDDINGS!!! Paul and Kathy were wonderful to work with. They are a power couple doing weddings on weekends and so they might not have as many flashy pictures up as bigger companies. Our ceremony was smooth and felt natural. They let us modify the ceremony to our liking as well. They were definitely worth the money and will help you make your dream beach wedding come true. Don't worry about the small cost items, they are not that expensive compared to some vendors but still give you that professional look and personal touch.

If you’re looking to do an outdoor ceremony I highly recommend you book your ceremony at least through Paul and his wife Katherine. Not only do they provide reasonable pricing, they set up and tear down all their equipment and supplies. They also act as a coordinator and officiant should you need one. They’re also well-versed in the Wilmington area so they have connections to find you what you need. I worked with them while I was deployed and was able to plan a wedding from half a world away without a care. I didn’t even have to worry about weather being a potential issue because they had connections to help get that covered the morning of if need be. They also make sure your photographer has access to the best shots and keep you segregated from guests after to facilitate family photos. Highly recommend them .

Beachside Occasions was wonderful to work with and executed everything we wanted (and more) on our wedding day flawlessly. They provide a variety of rentals for your beachside wedding and allow you to pick and choose what you want to make your day everything you'd dreamed it would be. I chose turquoise chair sashes for my aisle chairs and they even thought to send me a variety of color swatches to make sure the color was what we envisioned (which my florist did not do).

The day prior to the ceremony, we met with Katharine who ran through everything with us and reminded us to be prepared for things we hadn't even considered. They are obviously experts in their field and can make everyone feel ready to walk down the aisle from the bridesmaids and groomsmen, ring bearers, flower girls, and even the bride and groom! They even help you stay on schedule when you're inevitably running late getting ready for your own wedding.

The one thing I wish we'd been reminded of is how to do the sand ceremony properly - in the moment my new husband and I just poured away as we were nervous and on display in front of everyone and neglected to carefully layer our colors.

Katherine and Paul were an absolute job to work with. They did a great job helping us plan every detail of the ceremony process and made everything seem effortless. The wedding was beautiful and Katherine and Paul were amazing. They did the rehearsal also which helped alot since we had 8 children under 8 years old in the wedding! We ran a little late for the wedding and they were calm and professional. My sister put it in words perfectly. It was magical!

Our wedding was a very spur of the moment decision. Luckily Beachside Occasions could fit us in. Our wedding was small but we were treated like our wedding was just important as a large wedding. Katherine coordinated everything. She was amazing to work with. She emailed me copies of seating assignments, a timeline of the wedding and even downloaded the songs we picked for the processional and recessional and first dance on the beach to make sure everything went as smooth as silk! She was very helpful in picking a spot for the pavilion and angling it so we had the best light! I highly recommend using them for your beach wedding. Everything went so smoothly. =0)

I planned my wedding myself, and I was stressing very much about the wedding ceremony going the way I wanted it to. I got married on Fort Fisher, NC. Facing the ocean, under these amazing 200 year old oak trees. There was no electricity around, chairs, parking, nothing. I am not from the town, so I had no idea who was going to coordinate all these different vendors and ensure that it went the way it was supposed to!! I was stressing about how to bring it all together. Then I found Beachside. From the moment I first emailed Paul and Katherine, I knew they were going to plan and run my ceremony. All of my stresses and concerns were instantly gone. They provided the chairs, all decor, music, speakers, officiant, wedding coordination, etc. You name it, they have thought of it and have a solution for it! I didn't have to do anything else - they took over and executed my exact vision. I have absolutely zero complaints. Everything you see in the photos - Paul and Katherine did. My wedding was absolutely beautiful and I owe it all to beachside.

Paul and Katherine were amazing to work with! We utilized their services for our beach setup/ decor, officiant service, ceremony music/ AV, and rehearsal coordination. Having Katherine involved in the ceremony planning process and coordination relieved me of so much stress, and she kept everything so organized. Paul was a great officiant with an uplifting personality, and they offered us a lot of help in laying out the ceremony plan and readings. Our wedding fell on the weekend of the incredibly packed music festival, and they helped us find an alternate spot away from the madness, and got out there first thing in the morning and did a partial setup to secure the best spot on the beach. I highly recommend Beachside Occasions and their amazing staff!

Katherine was amazing to work with and helping plan our special beach wedding, even up until the day before when we realized it was going to be high tide but they made it work and everything was beautiful. we had lots of compliments on the pavilion. Paul and Katherine were so professional and comforting throughout the planning experience and on the wedding day! We had a 90% chance of rain, but they had 3 rain plans for us. They made the call around 3 pm and we ended up starting the wedding about 15 min early to avoid storms. We only got about 4 drops and there was a rainbow! I was never concerned with the ceremony in their hands. We loved how personal they made the ceremony template and Paul did a great job delivering it. Thank you so much Paul and Katherine!

We held our daughter's wedding on Carolina Beach on 10/15/16. It was perfect in large part to Beachside Occasions! Katherine is remarkable at her organization skills and the setup and flow impeccable!! She helped to make my daughter's wedding a memory to last a life time!! I highly recommend!!!

I used this company for my onsite beach wedding at Wrightsville Beach, NC right by the Oceanic! They came and set up the alter, chairs, sashes, walkway and etc! They did it all! This is a wonderful vendor, they are extremely accommodating and brought all my dreams to life! I was so thrilled with the set up they provided, it was simply amazing! Paul and Katherine were awesome to work with. I feel like the setup on the beach they offer, is one of the prettiest I have seen. I loved ours, and had so many compliments. It was windy on our wedding day, and everything still turned out perfect, because of the way they have it designed. Katherine kept asking if I was nervous on the day of the wedding, because I was so calm. I really had no worry. I was marrying my best friend and they had everything planned out, and in order for me. They arranged everything with the location, tide, music, colors, layout of the ceremony, and rehearsal. It is so nice to be able to enjoy your wedding day without personally setting up and tearing down everything. I loved their laid back personality too. I recommend them to anyone.

Beach Occasions did a great job setting up our wedding. It was beautiful and worry free. The minister was not all together and they were a big help with it even though she was not hired through Beach Occasions.

Our wedding was held at the Shell Island Resort at Wrightsville Beach, N.C. We had a set place on the beach to have our ceremony. Due to the effects of the hurricane weather, the location of the ceremony on the beach was moved inside. When the weather thankfully cleared up for the afternoon, beach side occasions came to me, the bride personally, in my room to ask where I wanted the ceremony materials to be moved to on the beach. We then decided to move everything to a spot where the water was not flooded on the beach. They worked with shell island, my dad, and me as well, and moved everything perfectly in the right place for the perfect wedding on the beach. Our wedding ended up being a perfect beach wedding due directly to Beachside occasions and their going above and beyond for us.

Beachside Occasions was a dream to work with! They made everything extremely easy and were very helpful with all the details and continuous assistance over the phone, email and in-person. Our wedding was a destination wedding and they made it so so easy for us since they handled the whole ceremony and all permits. Their attention to detail was extravagant and it was so great that they had a payment plan so you could space out your payments while many other vendors were half or full up front. I highly recommend them to any couple and know they will take great care of you and your family. Beachside Occasions was amazing for our wedding. We had very simple decorations with just the chairs and bamboo walkways for our sunrise wedding on the beach. The bamboo walkway was perfect for our guests to get to the chairs. We also paid for the officiate and rehearsal. Paul was great as our officiate! The ceremony selections provided to us were absolutely amazing. Everyone loved the ceremony and vows.

I LOVED working with Beachside Occasions!!!! They made us feel important from day on; and they made themselves available to us when we needed them. The best part was I needed advice on what to purchase, and instead of them trying to squeeze out extra money (which I'm pretty sure most companies would've done) they were completely honest and told me the best route to go. I cannot say enough about Beachside Occasions! They were phenomenal. I had berry and lime green as the colors for my wedding, Katherine was extremely helpful sending me several swatches to ensure that the chair sashes matched perfectly. The beach decor was absolutely beautiful, I cannot wait to get our professional pictures back. Katherine was so helpful throughout the entire process and went above and beyond and stepped up as my wedding coordinator when mine failed to show on the day of. Paul and Katherine were fantastic! I loved them even more when I discovered Katherine's exuberance for details, lists and event preparedness. All this with a willingness to be flexible. Soooo flexible that Paul was on had just in case my officiant missed her red-eye from the West Coast. And everyone here knows that it isn't always straight forward to get from Charlotte to Wilmington on a connecting flight, so that extra step made me feel a lot less anxious.

Before our wedding we had witnessed Beachside Occasions preparing and conducting another beach wedding. We were impressed by their efficiency and organization so after two further referrals to Beachside Occasions we chose them to provide all our necessary equipment for our beach wedding.

From the moment we started partnering with them they provided a high level of service to ensure our day was everything we wanted. They went above and beyond by providing a conference call, email updates and an onsite meeting before the big day. Katherine and Paul provided us with the logistical information for the day that we otherwise would not have known. They are experienced in handling beach weddings and not only set up the equipment on the day, but Katherine acted as an event planner ensuring that the ceremony details were conducted just as we had planned.

To say that my wedding could not have been perfect without Beachside Occasions is an understatement. They not only helped create the perfect space for our ceremony but also helped direct family members and guide guests to be at the right place at the right time. I have nothing but great things to say about Paul and Katherine at Beachside Occasions! As a destination bride, it was important to me to be able to communicate with my vendors via phone or email. Paul was great about getting back to me about pricing and tweaking his packages to fit my needs. Paul even sent me color samples for the sashes and parasols so that I could pick the color that matched my color theme.
Katherine was my day of coordinator and ensured that the ceremony setup was exactly what I wanted and she did just that! The ceremony set up was gorgeous! They were fantastic! About 45 minutes before the wedding, it was raining at the beach and they were running back and forth to cover everything and keep it ready for when the rain passed.
They delievered, set up and took eveything down. TOTALLY worth it, so all of your family/friends can realx. Other rental companies will just drop things off with the expectation that you set it up and take it down.
They were professional, and had details covered that I didn't even think of.

We live in Ohio and spent countless hours on the internet looking at a variety of services for a destination wedding. At the time of my first call to Paul, all we knew for certain was that we wanted a beach wedding in July. We did not know where to start and they were able to give us a basis for the rental set up and the ceremony itself. From their suggestions, we were able to create a ceremony that was truly ours. Paul and Katherine were patient, helpful, informative and gracious to work with. Our family raved over their services and our photographer even thought they were part of our family!

The Arbor set up was beautiful! We received comments from people at the beach that they had never seen one so beautiful.

Rental equipment was gorgeous - looked brand new; set up was perfect
Services were all inclusive, professional, flexible, dependable... from obtaining the beach permit, the officiate/ministry service, through filing the license. Top notch!

Beachside Occasions provided excellent services at a very reasonable price. They went above and beyond to help us locate a reception restaurant, and helped in planning the event with their excellent ideas and tips.
I would highly recommend them to everyone in the process of having a wedding.

My wedding would not have been what it was without them! They provided guidance the day of and for the reception. The set up was BEAUTIFUL! Paul and Katherine were amazing! Paul helped me with things that were in my opinion, probably outside of their responsibilities. Helped us with time of ceremony to avoid the time, vows, and everything! Absolutely wonderful!

Beachside Occasions was so amazing on our wedding day! They had everything nailed down exactly how my husband and I envisioned it. Paul and Katherine are very easy to work with and they truly take into consideration that this is your big day and they do all they can to make sure the bride and groom experience zero stress on the wedding day. We had a morning wedding on Wrightsville Beach, so they were at the ceremony site around 6:30am setting everything up. From my hotel suite I could see everything as it was set up and it looked so beautiful. Our wedding day was absolutely a dream and the ceremony couldn't have been anymore perfect! Thank you Beachside Occasions for giving us the ceremony of our dreams! You guys are amazing!

Soo glad we hired them! Paul and Katherine are amazing! Paul does such an amazing job officiating and Katherine organizes everything. Many thing we would not have thought of. Worth every penny!

I don't know how my beach wedding would have been as beautiful as it was without the team from Beachside. I woke up in the morning to see my ceremony completely set out and ready to go to reserve the perfect location. That alone made the day go so much smoother! We were able to hand pick our ceremony and add in details that we wanted (like our own vows, in addition to the traditional ones). I thought our rehearsal was run on such a tight, time managed ship and I loved it. Everyone knew exactly where they needed to be and what they needed to do! Their organization is on point! They have weddings down to a science and really know what they are doing. They were highly recommended to us from our venue, the Courtyard on Carolina Beach. I can't say enough about how wonderful they are! They will help you each and every step of the way to design your most perfect day. In addition, they worked really well with my husband and I from a distance and were able to do a lot of the planning over the phone (we live in DC). I can't thank them enough for everything they did for us!

Katherine & Paul did an excellent job. My wedding was beautiful! I planned my wedding from VA. They responded in a timely manner by phone/text/email. I would definitely recommend their services for a beach wedding. They are very organized.

Beachside Occasions made the planning process for the beach ceremony such a breeze! Although I'm from NC, I was planning the wedding from out of state and Katherine and Paul were so responsive and helpful via email or phone for all of my questions. Katherine really helped to ensure that everything ran smoothly on the day of the event and I received so many compliments on the ceremony setup design. I definitely recommend them.

Paul and Katherine were so easy to work with and they did a fantastic job! They were responsive to all of our questions and made sure everything went smoothly the day of the wedding. They are a really nice couple and they seemed to really enjoy helping us have a beautiful and stress-free day! Would highly recommend them!

Beachside Occasions made our wedding day wonderful! Not only did they provide the rental service, but Paul also officiated the ceremony. Katherine walked us through our rehearsal, as well as provided us with a smooth wedding day by directing the guests and wedding party down to the beach. Paul's ceremony was beautiful. Many of our guests commented on how wonderful it was. The only downfall was that our lineup was a little different on the day of the wedding than the rehearsal, but it really was not a problem, as our wedding party just went with the flow. Overall, I would recommend their service to any bride out there!!

The Best Part of the Wedding

Beachside Occasions was fabulous to work with. We did a destination wedding and they were very responsive and flexible with us being out of town. The day of the wedding everything was perfect and beautiful. The ceremony was one of the least stressful parts of the wedding due to Paul and Katherine. There are other Carolina Beach companies that will do a ceremony on the beach for less, but I guarantee it will not be anywhere close as lovely. Worth every penny.

Paul is the best. Our wedding was gorgeous because of their set up. The umbrellas were beautiful and we loved the Bali flags. We would recommend Brachside to anyone. Great job guys!

Didn't have to worry about a thing-they set everything up for us made sure it was exactly how we imagined. Very helpful and definitely couldn't have done everything without them!

They were very great to work with. Anytime myself or my fiance would email them they would get back to us right away. The only thing was the boutonniere's were not put on the guys and that us something we were told they would do for us. There set up's are very well put together and they put a lot of time and attention into there work.

Was flexible with equipment and options during a busy wedding period with multiple events going on the same weekend. Set-up was a bit behind schedule, as guests starting arriving before all chairs were completed.
