Amazing Photography Team!
Cyd and her team did an absolutely amazing job capturing the special moments from our wedding! I have looked through our gallery probably 200 times because of how much I love our photos, and she got them back to us so quick too! Cyd, thank you so much for making this day so easy, and for allowing us to relive it through your work! -

My (now) wife and I very much lucked into a professional relationship with Cyd and Bayou Rose Photo, and we are so happy we did. We sure hope these comments on her work will help others make an actual educated decision when you are seeking an event photographer. And from our perspective - Bayou Rose photo is the right decision!
I hit on Cyd via a simple Google search to have surprise engagement photos taken in 2022. I'm very thankful that I did, the engagement photos were fantastic. I returned to New Orleans with my son the following year to celebrate his 21st Birthday, and I again booked Cyd. When we decided to get married in New Orleans in 2024, of course we went with Cyd and she delivered big time.
Cyd was flexible and allowed us to add some extra time to get pre-ceremony formals completed on our very tight schedule, then also additional time to stop by our after party on Bourbon to get some great shots. As we have been reviewing the hundreds of great photos Cyd took for us, there have been so many times that we reflect and say "what a great shot she got there!" On our wedding video, Cyd can be seen rushing around getting in position to do great work. She met with us beforehand to ensure we were on the same page about all the different photos we were sure we wanted to get, and we got them.
Saving the best for last here. The moon has been a symbolic and very important part of my wife and my relationship from the very beginning. As an absolute surprise, halfway through our reception, we noticed the moon hanging out above our courtyard. We asked Cyd if there was any way she could get a challenging shot of us with the moon above us - and she immediately knew what she wanted to do and how to do it. She shot the most incredible photos of us with the moon above us, and we had no idea how she was going to pull it off. But she did! We will forever cherish those moon photos, along with all of her other work.
We cannot compliment Cyd enough and hope others will consider her to document your special event! -

Bayou Rose Photography is the BEST!!! Cyd has a great personality, which makes the process so easy. Julie took fabulous pictures of the wedding & reception, which we'll treasure forever. Highly recommend!! -

We love Cyd!!! She was incredibly kind, patient, professional, skilled, and super helpful in walking us through all of the steps in preparing for and downloading our engagement photos and our wedding ceremony + reception photos. She was such a sensitive and resilient presence throughout our time working with her, making a genuine effort to connect with us personally and persisting through all challenges with a sense of humor. We could always count on her to communicate clearly and quickly with us throughout the different stages of working together. Not least of all, we loved her photos, which included a great mixture of classic and more "artsy" perspectives to choose from (and all for a very reasonable price). We can't thank her enough for helping us capture this special time in our lives in such a beautiful way. Highly recommended! -

She captured all the sweet moments as well as the funny moments at my wedding and I never even noticed her bouncing all around getting these shots!! She’s also a master with lighting!! Cyd is an absolute dream! She is incredibly studied in her craft so she and her team produce beautiful photos that are easy to access, download, and purchase after the wedding. On top of that, she is a stellar person who was so fun to have as part of our wedding ceremony and reception. She is organized and thorough, which takes pressure off of the couple and their loved ones. Cyd is also very communicative and her response time to my emails and questions (and I sent a lot of those haha) was always swift. She captured the sentimental moments as well as the goofy moments throughout our ceremony and reception. I cannot over emphasize how fantastic Cyd and her team are! Unicorn level fantastic! -

Perfect choice
Booking Bayou Rose was truly the best choice for us! We wanted a wedding that gave out out of towners a New Orleans experience and Cyd was there to capture every moment! Her and her team were so fun and interactive and made everyone felt comfortable enough to let lose and give us those picture worthy moments!! -

Cyd was nothing short of amazing!!! She did everything I asked of her, she even suggested creating a spreadsheet of any kind of picture we would want and she had it with her on our wedding day & made them happen. The pictures were done in less than a month for me to look at and the quality of them were AMAZING!!! I’d 110% recommend her! She’s reasonably priced and anytime I messaged her she was back with me same day!!! I showed her ideas of photos I had & she did it and MORE. I’ve even started using her for our family photos!! She’s my forever photographer— I like to call her a photo ninja 🥰 -

Cyd, with Bayou Rose Photography, is simply the best! She has photographed several life milestones for our family- engagement, maternity, birth, and will be photographing our upcoming Christmas family photos. She is talented and professional while also warm and hilarious. She has an artistic eye and storytelling style that is very unique and lovely. Cyd was flexible with our shot requests (aka Pinterest) but also gave input from her own experience.
For each of the sessions, she always arrived early and scouted the best spots for us. My husband and I are so grateful that Cyd offered help with posing when needed but also captured great candid shots of us too.
I was really hesitant about getting maternity photos but I’m so glad that we booked a session with Cyd. I asked for engagement photos with a bump and she delivered so many stunning images. It can be pretty awkward posing when 35 weeks pregnant but I had so much fun with Cyd. She really did a great job documenting a special moment in our lives.
For the birth session, Cyd was so comforting to have in the room. Not only did Cyd take care of capturing the memories, but she was there to answer my random questions as she’s been through so many births! She created a beautiful video that we were able to share with our family and friends.
I always go with Cyd whenever I need photos because I love her work, her pricing is fair, and she is very prompt in answering emails and calls. She has a great turnaround time with photos too; you can expect to get your photos soon after the event. I recommend Cyd to all my friends! -
Allison Sent on 04/12/2018Cyd and her team at Bayou Rose Photography are a superb and easy-going team to work with for any occasion. I originally met her the night my husband proposed, as she was available last minute and for an excellent price. She had our “I said Yes” photos available to us within one week. The same goes for our engagement pictures and my bridals. She had ALL of our wedding photos available to us within 2 weeks of the wedding (which was this past March 2018). She is so talented at what she does and really works around your schedule. I got married at the Old Governor’s Mansion (OGM), which required that I separately attain all vendors our wedding. Some vendors that I used were larger companies that had worked/hosted a function at OGM often or previously. Other vendors I chose were smaller companies but had still worked/performed a function at OGM previously (and so were aware of the rules/regulations of the venue). Even if Cyd had not previously photographed at OGM, she would have been so easy to work with and it would not have caused any issues. Her pricing is right on point and you receive such amazing results in a very quick timeframe. There is no way I will ever use another photographer in this area. The pricing that these larger companies charge is so outrageous and inflated. Cyd and her team are devoted to you and create striking photos that just make you very appreciative you chose her to capture your event!! Love love love me some Cyd and Bayou Rose Photography!

We cant say enough good things about our experience with her. She did our engagement, bridals, and wedding. Looking forward to family session soon! Cyd and her crew are top notch in our book.
