David was, without a doubt, the best photographer we interviewed for our wedding (and we spoke with a LOT!). We took advantage of David’s “10k Wedding”, which included an engagement shoot, day-of photographers, videographers, wedding planner, and photo booth. The plan has other available options, including floral, DJ etc. but we already had those vendors locked in by the time we discovered David and his team.
The engagement shoot:
Our engagement shoot was the first time getting in front of the camera with David. From the beginning he made us feel very comfortable. David has extensive knowledge behind the camera, but because he was a model in his previous career, he really understands what it’s like on the other side. He worked with us on our poses and gave us a lot of tips for how to stand, smile, hold each other etc. which really came in handy on the day of our wedding. David taught us how to dip for the camera (yes it’s different than how you’d dip during dancing). It might sound weird, but we actually got a lot of compliments on how smooth and natural our first kiss dip was during the wedding, and we have David to thank for that!
The wedding:
David and his team are very prompt on the day of the wedding. He just got married himself so he completely understand the pressure and stress of the big day. He spent the beginning of the day with me and my bridesmaids and the other photographers on his team spent the morning with my husband and his groomsmen. David has a deep network of photographers, videographers and other vendors throughout the Bay Area. We were very happy with the crew he brought on the wedding day and we actually hired my makeup artist from his list of recommendations. Throughout the wedding, David and his team worked very discreetly. After the ceremony, we had a lot of family photos to get through and everything went really smooth thanks to their organization and communication with everyone involved. We left the ceremony site to get some photos on a cliffside at sunset and David did a fantastic job setting up quickly, getting the right shots and getting us back to our venue to not miss out on the good times.
Photo reveal:
David and his team are very responsive and on top of their communication. After the wedding, we knew it would take a while to get our photos back since we’re in peak wedding season. They sent us a couple sneak peek photos to keep us excited while we waited for the big reveal. When our photos were ready to be viewed, David invited us to his studio to make it special. At his studio, David had popcorn (he remembered we love popcorn and had a popcorn machine at our wedding), and champagne waiting for us. We had a good time chatting about the wedding, his recent travels and where he’s off to next. The reason I’m telling you this is because I feel like we made a genuine connection with David and enjoyed spending time with him. It never felt like a transaction with him, which is exactly what you want from the person capturing the best day of your life.
Overall, our experience with David has been incredibly positive and we’ve already passed his name along to some of our other friends that are in the market. You won’t regret the experience of having him a part of your wedding team and you surely won’t regret the amazing photos he will deliver.

David provided the videography for our wedding in October 2018 at The Lodge at Sonoma and he was such a pleasure to work with. He brings so much enthusiasm and positive energy to his work, it's contagious and helped to keep a positve upbeat vibe throughout the day. He was organized and had a vision for the shots he wanted and made sure to capture them. We ended up getting a highlight video of our wedding and we absolutely loved the final result. It was so fun to gather the family around to reminisce and watch it together and it will be something we cherish and look back on often. I highly recommend working with David. -

Best Wedding Photographer in the Bay Area
I can't find enough words to describe the amazing experience we had having David as our photographer on our special day. From the first communication to the day of the wedding and after, the process was so easy and professional.
The days leading up to the wedding, we had a great conversation about schedules, what we wanted to capture and so much more which was so great because it gave me a peace of mind knowing that he knew exactly what I wanted!
On the day of our wedding, he was so great! His smile and his energy was contagious! He was on it! He got every single photo I wanted. He worked so well with our videographer as well and made it so fun to shoot all of the pictures on the vineyards and with our huge family!
Looking at the photos for the first time brought me to tears because he truly captured the love and every emotion on that day and I am so grateful that I will have those memories live on in these photos forever.
The team was so great helping us put together our album as well, even with my million request for edits and in the end it turned out perfect!
We highly recommend David N. Sachs to any couple looking for not only an amazing photographer but also a genuinely loving and caring person that takes so much pride and care of your big day! -

David and Vinh are fantastic! Since I did most of the wedding planning, the hubby did all the reviewing! Read his comments below:
David and his partner Vinh clearly know what they’re doing. They both wear Bat-belts and cool harness vests holding cameras, lenses, flashes, umbrella-shaped light focusing tools, and so on. They know about sunlight and angles and what type of light will flatter us, what time of day to be where, etc. From a technical standpoint, they immediately set themselves apart from the 96 wedding guests walking around with their phones out, ready to take photos.
The pictures came out crazy good, like magazine quality, like the best we’ve ever looked, like we want to blow these photos up and hang them above the mantle, like that good!
However, their cool tools are probably the same as everyone else who does this. And the quality photos were only apparent after our wedding day.
So… how did we know we loved them before we got the photos?
David took over an hour to talk to the two of us about our wants and needs before we’d even chosen him.
Vinh helped me tie my tie in a cool new way I’d never seen before.
David had an endless amount of cool, silly, flattering poses for us and our guests
When I was nervous and flustered before the wedding even began, Vinh chit chatted with me about Jess (wife), how we met, what we were like as a couple, etc. I thought he was just being polite because he could see I was nervous, but, after working with him, I think he likes to get to know the couples in order to take more authentic photos.
David and Vinh both are masters at candid photos, but are also so fun and silly, that the posed photos feel natural.
The two of them made us laugh so hard, we didn’t need to try and smile for our photos.
Halfway through the wedding, we took a break to do a beach (cliff) photo shoot. It was freezing and windy and Jess and I wanted to be eating or dancing with our friends. That said, because of David and Vinh, the shoot ended up being one of the best parts of our entire wedding!
On the way back from the photo shoot, David caught the sight of an amazing sunset view and pulled over immediately, encouraging to walk through a random meadow in our wedding clothes. The pictures were amazing!! And we got a true sense of David’s artistic eye and his commitment to going above and beyond for our special day.
When we renew our vows 50 years from now, we’ll only accept 80-year-old David and Vinh as our photographers! -
