Mayra was a dream to work with for our wedding January 2025. I've never felt more beautiful.
Everyone in our wedding party (including my wife and our moms) were super happy.
We all didn't know anything about makeup and couldn't really tell her what we wanted and Mayra just slayed.
I had a mountain of a pimple on my cheek, and I figured I'd just have to live with however it looked, and Mayra made it absolutely disappear.
It's invisible in every photo. Effing magic.
Mayra arrived early and stayed super chill and on top of everything through all the hectic energy. We were all ready to go perfectly on time.
The makeup trial before the wedding was also really fun, and my wife and I enjoyed the process and getting to know Mayra.
Mayra brought Karla to do hair, and everyone was so happy with their looks.
My wife had Karla do an updo for the trail run and afternoon of the wedding day as she sat in the chair decided having her hair down would be a lot better.
Karla slayed it. My wife's hair was exceptional and flawless even with it being down for an outdoor ceremony on a windy day.
Karla even helped me pin my veil in when I asked.
They both slayed it. Highly recommend! Mayra and Karla are the best in Los Gatos! Don't look anywhere else! -

If you are deciding who to do HMU for you and your bridal party, STOP YOUR SEARCH. Lash Out Loud is the real deal! Mayra and her team were super easy & quick to communicate and coordinate with from Day 1. Mayra helped me put together a timeline for day-of HMU for 10 gals and her team worked like clockwork on wedding day, making sure we were done on-time for photos (even when we added extra hair service, last minute). The end product was beautiful for everyone. Honestly, it was the best HMU I have had done in years. They listened to what each girl wanted and delivered flawlessly. 10/10. -

Planning a wedding during COVID was definitely a challenge, but Mayra and her team were amazing. When we needed to push our wedding out a year, Mayra worked with me to update the contract. When some of the wedding party was not comfortable attending, Mayra allowed me to adjust my wedding party up to the week of the wedding. Not only did my hair and makeup come out beautiful, but she helped make planning for my bridal party a breeze. I highly recommend her and her team! -

The Best Service I Can Ask
From first inquiry to the end Mayra did a wonderful job on myself and my mom's wedding day hair. We did the hollywood glam waves with the extensions i had.
She even trimmed my extensions to blend better with my hair. My mom felt so pretty and she exuded happiness and a youthful glow that whole day.
I was so happy about that because my mom has never got her hair done so nice like that. So it was very special to see her so happy.
Mayra and Lluvia (makeup artist) were so professional, polite and timely. They gave clear instructions on what was expected on the trial and wedding day and followed through on the few changes that I wanted to make.
Ladies- I recommend you go through with the trial makeup run because it gives you time to see the look on you all day/night.
how it sits on your face after a few hours, how the primer works for your particular skin, how the lipstick looks in pictures etc.
I would definitely recommend their services to those in the Bay Area.
They both work so well together and I am so glad I went with them as I had checked out a few hair and makeup artists in my area.
I will definitely work with them again for future events! -

Mayra, Lluvia and Rhea are your go to ladies for wedding day services. I was working with Mayra from the coordination perspective and she is so quick to answer emails and provide guidance. I never waited more than 24 hours to get a response from her. I did a hair trial at their studio with Lluvia. I must admit that I am very picky and Lluvia made each tweak as requested and wanted me to leave there with full confidence. On the wedding day, it looked even more stunning than the trial day. She stayed on time and kept us girls laughing and had a great time. The entire team at Lol are professionals and they offer on-site services or you can go to their studio close to downtown. -

Had the pleasure of having Mayra do my hair and makeup for my friend Monica wedding yesterday and she was AMAZING!!! She was early and came prepared to get the bridesmaids ready before the events of the day. She was super through with airbrushing and my skin looked flawless in pictures. Also my hair was so cute and stayed in place all night despite the wind and crazy dancing. haha. I felt like a movie star all day!!
Mayra also super sweet and easy to work with. I'm sooooo glad I found her!! I'm going to have her do all of my future events!!! Yay! -

Very Talented and Professional.
I've never felt more beautiful as I did on my wedding day after Mayra spent 2 hours on my hair and makeup!
I was first introduced to Mayra when she was my friend's MUAH for her wedding (I was a bridesmaid in my friend's wedding). I loved how my friend and my own makeup looked and immediately reached out to Mayra when I became engaged.
Mayra is incredibly sweet, responsive, and thoughtful... Everything a bride needs from a MUAH. She takes great care to ensure that the bride and her bridal party is taken care of during the makeup and hair process. My vision for what I wanted for my hair and makeup was made possible by Mayra.
She is located in the Los Gatos area and even traveled to the San Jose area to be my MUAH. She's truly a joy to work with and I would highly recommend her.

Mayra is an extremely skillful and talented makeup artist. I recently got my makeup for my wedding photo shoot, henna party, and for the brunch after the wedding by Mayra. Several guests got their makeup applied by Mayra as well. As our wedding was heavily influenced by Indian culture (clothes, jewelry, and decor for the henna night), I felt Mayra struck a fine balance in knowing exactly what makeup would work with my skin tone and my overall outfit for the occasions. I realized Mayra is very versatile. I would recommend her instantly as I appreciate her talent, her professionalism and the fact that she is very personable and warm. -

Love this girl! I came to her after my prior trial with other artist failed (pretty miserably). I was 4 month pregnant at the time of trial and my wedding was just a month away. My skin was dealing with hormone changes that involves peeling, acne, and uneven skin tone. I was pretty much running out of time and I decided to switch to Mayra , because... what can be worse than a bad makeup on your wedding date. Pricing is slightly above average but the result was top A+++. The trial results came out great! My skin looked silky smooth after the natural makeup. When I took a picture to send to my friend, she thought I was using filter on my picture lol. The makeup lasted all day without getting cake-y or oily. On the wedding date, the makeup turns out even better and the hair up-do lasted all day. Also, Mayra is very sweet to work with. She is professional, punctual, good listener and patient. -

I truly wish I could give more than 5 stars for Mayra .
She is absolutely AMAZING and made me feel absolutely gorgeous on my wedding day. I had worked with Mayra on other projects in the past and was so excited to book her for my wedding.
When I went to my trial I had an idea of what I wanted to do for my hair, but she took my ideas and made it more beautiful then I could imagine. Then when it came time for makeup, I knew I wanted something a little more smoky for my fall wedding and again she knocked it out of the park.
On the day of my wedding, not only was she more than prepared with lighting and all the tools she could need, she also did an amazing job at helping me keep calm. I had a large bridal party and a lot of activity going on that morning and she made sure I took time for myself to relax while in her chair.
I strongly recommend Mayra to anyone who is looking for their hair and makeup artist on their wedding day! -

She is also very sanitary! All her brushes that she used on me had been cleaned and it is was so obvious how she prioritizea being sanitary and neat. I could not recommend Mayra or her team more highly. I had 3 failed makeup trials before I finally came to Mayra and the difference in quality was staggering! Her background is extensive from Chanel to Nordstroms (and so much more but I can't remember all of it!). Even my mother-in-law RAVED about her and she is the hardest woman to please, especially when it comes to her beauty supplies. (She literally brought her own hair brushes for my hair stylist).
Mayra is great at natural "neutrogena" looks, cat eyes, color choices for skin tones, etc. Aside from her being a LOVELY woman and great at keeping a nervous bride comfortable, she chose makeup that made each woman look fantastic in my party instead of just giving us all a standard "wedding look." This made our pictures look FANTASTIC! Because every woman, face shape, coloring, etc. is all so unique and we all have our best assets - and she highlighted all of our personal beauties.

I hired Mayra for hair and makeup for my wedding, and she did such a fantastic job. I had not slept well in a long time because I was in the middle of a lengthy work project, and Mayra erased those baggy under eyes like magic. Beforehand, she was very careful to ask about what I wanted and what concerns I had--it was a very personalized service. My wedding was complicated because I had two ceremonies, and needed my hair down for one and up for the other. During my trial at the studio, she made sure I was comfortable with everything, from the heat on the blow dryer to glue on the lashes. She offered options during the trial so we could make fine tweaks for the following day. I had no doubts that Mayra would deliver beautiful hair and makeup results (my sister and her best friend both used Mayra for their weddings), but when sitting in a chair for 4+ hours between the trial and event, it definitely helps to have a nice conversation and thankfully Mayra was very easy to talk to which made the whole experience even better. BAY AREA MAKEUP AND HAIR DO was amazing! They are such great artists and truly talented. I hired them to do hair and makeup for myself and two bridesmaids on my wedding day. Mayra did such a great job with hair. I have long, fine, thin hair... doesn't hold curls at all and she was able to do beautiful curls and even placed my last-minute hair extension perfectly. Mindy was equally wonderful. I usually leave the house with a swipe of mascara, so I was nervous that I wouldn't look like myself. I was also worried that my makeup may be too dramatic for the natural light of my venue . Mindy really did an amazing job of making my makeup look natural and glowing. Both made me feel so comfortable on my wedding day. My bridesmaids were also so happy with their looks too and raved about Mayra and Mindy as well. Mayra is really sweet and did a great job on my makeup, giving me a natural look that I wanted (nothing crazy as it was just for family photos and not a wedding-type event). She showed up nice and early and put up with my goofy dog sniffing her a lot during the session. I got all my photos back from our photographer and it just confirmed how great the makeup looked. Would hire her again the next time I need makeup done again :) -

I contacted Mayra to be my makeup artist for my wedding about a year in advance. Throughout the year, she touched base with me multiple times and always got back to me with any questions or concerns that I had.
The day before my wedding, I sat out in the sun just a little too long and got a nice little sunburn on my chest and arm. Of course when Mayra saw me the next morning she made me feel at ease and told me she could help to make it not so noticeable. Once she was done applying my face makeup, she mixed a couple colors and helped to spread it on my chest to make the red not so apparent. When she was done I was almost in tears with how happy I was with everything. No one could tell that I had gotten sunburned and I received so many compliments on my makeup.
Mayra showed up early for her appointment time to set up, was so sweet and professional. She did my makeup as well as our moms, aunts and bridesmaids; everyone looked stunning. I would recommend her a thousand times over.

It was exactly as I had envisioned and included all the tweaks we discussed after the practice run. I even jumped for 15 minutes on a trampoline during my wedding reception and it didn't budge one bit. I am a basic ponytail and jeans type of girl and never do anything special with my hair or makeup.
I have traveled through Pinterest and gathered some long hair do's and makeup. I needed something bold and out of the normal for me.
We talked over the phone I sent her some images and she was very helpful.
The day came and she was early, well organized, efficient and clean. She takes her profession very seriously and I applaud her for that. She is very good at what she does.
For my hair- I felt so beautiful! It was spot on what I dreamed and clipped photos of. It lasted all day and night. I felt so bad at bedtime undoing it.
My makeup was out of the norm for me. I wanted sexy, sensual and mysterious. It was just that and more. She added, upon her recommendation, false eye lashes. They looked like my own. My eyes just looked so alluring.
After my photo session was done that day I went home and my husband could not keep his eyes and hands off me. He even took me and the kids out to a nice dinner. He kept on telling me how beautiful I was all evening.
I truly felt like a queen for a day.
I have learned a lesson though. I need to try harder with my everyday hair and makeup.
During our hair and makeup session Mayra mentioned she does makeup tutorials-I intend to take a few lessons from her as soon as I have some downtime at my office. -

I booked her for my wedding, the two moms looked 20 years younger, the bridesmaids looked beautiful, I LOOKED PERFECT. YES PERFECT!!! She was also very patient and flexible. I kept changing the hair & make-up schedule and adding more people to the contract, she happily accommodated all the requests. Her assistant Callie was also amazing. I repeat, Mayra has her own shop now. ! Obviously she has a track record that proves her skills as a make up artist and i am very glad i chose her for my make up for my New Year's festivities.
She upgraded my sad looking face by about 200%. I am very pleased with how she did the contours because my cheekbones and nose are my least favorite parts of my face and she corrected those flaws. She also enlarged my eyes by 250%, talk about human photoshop.
She is very professional and she knows what she's doing with make up. If you need to look 100% for a special event, i would highly recommend Mayra. She will get you dolled up. -

Mayra came early to our hotel and immediately got to work. She did a gorgeous fantastic job on my hair and makeup and even helped stop a few fires. She literally was a godsend being speedy, efficient and perfect. I was worried about a lot of things on my wedding day but my hair and makeup was not one of them.

Braided on one side, twisted on the other and twisted all together in the back! My makeup was flawless. Mayra had put on an original set of eyelashes on me and she insisted she changed them because she would be too worried about me and I'm so glad she made that call because the individual sets she put on looked much more natural (the look I was going for). Did I mention I needed to be ready for sunrise photos? Yep, Mayra came to my hotel before 3 am to get me ready. We chatted like we already knew each other and it was just so perfect. She is highly professional and very particular about time. I was very nervous about the wedding make up as I am person who doesn't like to wear make up at all. So, she suggested that I should take the trial makeup. During the trial she was very informative. She made sure of that I was comfortable with whatever we decide. On the wedding day she was site on the agreed upon time. We later realized that we should have started even earlier as we were running late for the photographer but she managed to get everything done quickly. She is a fun person to work with!
She tried to ease the tensions around the wedding preparations on the day. I received so many compliments on my wedding day and so many people specifically asked me about the makeup

I'll start by saying I am such a make up girl. I love all make up glam and I am just SO picky with mua. I've never had my make up done and not had to tweak things myself... until Mayra. Not only did I not tweak my make up, I didn't want to move because I had never felt so pretty in my entire life.. I didn't want the make up to ever leave my face! ( and it didn't until I showered the next day, It was still flawless in the morning because I was too tired to wash my face on my wedding night). I was really worried about finding an artist that would make me feel as good as I hoped on my wedding day but after reading all Mayra reviews I felt comfortable booking her with a trial as well (just in case). OMG once we did the trial and I was so elated it took such a big worry burden off my back, I knew no matter what happened on my wedding day I was going to look and feel the best I ever have. Along with myself, seven of the bridesmaids also had their make up done by Mayra and everyone looked SO INCREDIBLE. She tailored their make up to compliment the dresses they were wearing and everyone looked so put together and stunning, the wedding photos are unbelievable. My mom also used Mayra services and she was so happy, I've never seen her more confident and feel so good about herself! Mayra arrived early and set up a very professional studio area in our suite and began working on the bridesmaids, she was able to do seven bridesmaids along with myself and my mom and finish early!! The amount of stress that I avoided using Mayra as our mua was priceless. Her professionalism and talent is not projected in her prices at all... on top of being THE BEST, she's very reasonably priced! I cannot thank Mayra enough for making me feel so beautiful and stress free on my wedding day. Seriously, do yourself a favor and book her now before its too late! -

They showed up at our hotel suite like the A-team glam squad they are and knocked out bride, five attendants, and the two moms in record time. Mayra was great to work with. She was super friendly & super responsive. My trial with her went great and honestly my hair is SO stubborn and does not hold a curl but she did some magic and it stayed curled for over 24 hours! I was bummed I had no where to go after my trial because the make up & hair looked so good lol!
Before the wedding day, Mayra created a timeline for me and my girls which helped a lot! It gave my girls an idea of when they needed to be at my house to get their make up done. Mayra & her assistant May did an amazing job on my girl's make up & Mayra, again, killed it with my hair & make up for my wedding!

I went to her on two separate occasions in the month of June to have my hair done for a couple of weddings. I showed her a picture on my phone of the exact hairstyle that I wanted and she got it exactly right! It came out even better than I had hoped for. The second time I saw her, I had the same exact hairstyle done and it was done perfectly once again. Then today, for the first time, I had an appointment with her to color my hair. Again, I showed her a photo, she told me she could get that color for me, and she delivered once again. It came out beautifully and I have already received a ton of compliments on it so far today and recommended a friend of mine to her who also wants to color her hair. Mayra shared both skin care and make up tips in details, step by step and incorporated both info sharing and hands-on practice in one session. I found the info and tips easy to absorb, easy to apply and I was happy to uncover few of the mis-understanding I had about makeup. I got a ton of compliments. I have so much faith in her skills I never hesitate to recommend her. She actually did my sisters wedding 2 months later. And she's slated to do a family friends wedding this year. I stand by whatever price she charges today and I will tell you it's worth it. Don't waste your money on doing other trials, do hers first!!!
Your hair and makeup will last the whole day. You don't need to worry about paying to keep her around. You get a little lip kit, blotting paper and hair pins.
Mine lasted the whole day including a lunchtime photo shoot though the evening ceremony and reception. I actually slept in my hair and wore it the next day.
I wanted a makeup style that was more than neutral and she did a great job enhancing my face. I saw 3 other makeup artists and she did the best makeup job. I looked like I was glowing, I looked like the pictures I showed her.
I wanted more of a classic hairstyle. The messy look that's in style right now is just not my thing. Other stylists tried to convince me otherwise but I'm glad I followed what I wanted. Mayra will take your picture and do it EXACTLY the way you want it. In my case it was a chignon and a bump on top.
I saw 2 other hair stylists and they just didn't compare. One wasn't really like the picture I showed her and it started unraveling the moment the artist left. The other was good but not great and not what I wanted.
Bottom line: Mayra is a perfectionist who will do EXACTLY what you want and considering it lasts all day it's worth the investment!!
Do yourself a favor and hire her so you can cross this to do off your wedding checklist! -

My friend and I were in town for a black tie wedding and we needed both hair and make up done. Mayra came to our hotel room to do our hair and makeup which is so convenient for a nominal fee. She sets up a contract ahead of time so you know what you're getting and covers both parties. She returned e-mails and text messages right away. Very professional.
She arrived on time and with everything that she needed including a comfortable chair for us to sit in while putting on our makeup. My friend and I looked amazing. She did such a great job and we both received so many compliments at the wedding. From the start, Mayra was very responsive via email and text message. I felt confident as Mayra had worked with Asian ladies before, and the photos in her portfolio showed she created beautiful and natural styles!
On the morning of, Mayra arrived promptly in the morning, carrying 2 suitcase trunks of make-up supplies! She was wonderfully warm, friendly and easy to work with. We talked through the products and color palettes she plans to use for the day, and I felt Mayra really listened to what I wanted for the day's style.
I have thick, straight hair and it took about 1hr just to get my hair curled & pinned into place as a semi up-do. We then proceeded to make-up, keeping it light and natural as I asked. She was very detailed in applying my eye make-up, and picked the most natural looking set of false eyelashes (which looked beautiful and not too dramatic!)
From start to finish, it took about 2hours for hair and make-up. My make-up and hair held up through 11pm at night with no wear/ smears, surviving the outdoor vineyard (with wind and dust) and indoor dinner reception! Everyone complimented how elegant and clas -

She understood what I wanted and was able to replicate the pictures I showed her but was able to add her own twist and personalize it to suit me and my style. First, let me tell you that shopping for a makeup artist is not easy. I have contacted so many different MUAs and even did a trial session with another (that did not go so well). So when I finally did a trial with Mayra , I was very happy with her work.
Communication with her is a breeze. She's prompt with her email replies, and answers all my questions.
The trial was great! She listened to what I liked and made some of her own suggestions. I showed her the hairstyle and makeup that I wanted and she created an awesome, natural look. I had a few pinterest pics that I showed her and she was able to put together what I had in mind but couldn't say in words. She also made some recommendations for skin care so my skin will be ready for the big day. I had such a great experience that I scheduled a makeup lesson with her as well (on top of the wedding package that I already booked).

We more than enjoyed our time with her and the wealth of knowledge she had to share. From green products to products we already had she knows her stuff! As someone who is half black and half Native American, I have A LOT of hair (down to the middle of my back and very curly). It can seem daunting to even the most skilled hair stylists. Mayra was able to tackle it without a sweat, I was very pleasantly surprised at her skill and confidence.
She was able to work within our budget and was very easy to work with! Loved her personality and you can tell she loves what she does.
Did I mention I loved my hair!
Only had to do one trial to know she was the one!
Also she was able to do the hair of two of my bridesmaids and my mother. They all loved their hair as well.
For my makeup she was able to look at the picture and perfectly replicate it. Not too much make up or cake-y and not too light.
My hair and airbrush makeup lasted the whole day and several outfit changes: from robe to wedding dress to get away dress to after party.
I really enjoyed working with her and would recommend her to anyone.

After contacting several MUAs while wedding planning, I reached out to Ann after seeing my friend's stunning look for her wedding. When I met Mayra the hair and make up trial, I especially appreciated how she spent a lot of time listening to what I envisioned for the wedding and asking about my normal makeup routine so that she could create a look that was natural yet unique for my wedding day. Words cannot truly express how deeply grateful I am to Mayra and her Team for what they did for us! My original makeup/hairstylist canceled an hour before she was suppose to show up on my wedding day. I had very little makeup and no hairspray with me. I explained to Mayra what had happened and her response was "Today's your wedding? I'll be there, I'll come to you, I'm on my way." Tears are filling my eyes as I try to type and relive the love and compassion these two incredible people showed me. My makeup and hair turned out even more perfect than I had imagined. Mayra even calmed my nerves and made sure I had eaten that day. My daughters hair and makeup was exactly what she wanted as well as I wanted. Mayra is truly talented and gifted in so many ways. I have had my hair and makeup done easily over a hundred times in my life for various events, and Mayra was by far and away the best.
