Reached out to Joe to inquire about setting up a karaoke experience for a reception at a bar. Joe was extremely responsive and provided quick responses to my questions. He was also able to coordinate with the venue to ensure that the space would work for his setup.
At the party, Joe kept the music going and did a great job at setting up the karaoke for my guests. My guests and I had a great time utilizing his karaoke setup! The next time we need karaoke services, I would 100% reach out to Joe and his team again! -

DJ Joey was a pleasure to work with - very prompt in communication, and professional when connecting with our venue and events coordinator. Our wedding reception turned out perfect with his help! In addition to being our DJ, he was also our MC and karaoke host, and made sure our party of 120+ guests were having a fun time. He built cocktail hour and dancing playlist off the sample songs we shared with him, and blended together bangers from various genres and decades to get everyone hyped up. Even under the difficult conditions of a lunchtime dance event, he got everyone up singing and dancing - it was an incredible time! -

We loved hiring Joey for our wedding! We were specifically looking for a wedding DJ who is also knowledgeable in Karaoke because I’m Filipino and we love to sing. I wanted someone who could play dance music and also integrate the karaoke songs while also being intuitive with a crowd for what they’re vibing with. Joey was just this. Not only was he intuitive but he also was very knowledgeable in different ways to support a wedding, such as, what microphone would be better for our specific ceremony space. Additionally, my brother supported me by playing guitar while I sang, and Joey had the materials to make it happen by plugging the guitar into his sound system. Another noteworthy thing that Joey did was call the venue prior to our first initial meeting (prior to being hired) and he asked them questions to get a better understanding of the venue. One last thing we thought was great was our ability to use our own wedding playlist. Joey told us firsthand that he’s flexible and can play any song we’d like and this also included having our very own wedding playlist. He integrated the karaoke and our playlist seamlessly and the crowd enjoyed it! Overall, great DJ! -

My daughter got married on May 3 at Ravenswood Historic Site in Livermore. Joey showed up on time, moved to 3 different locations at the site during the event, and was very flexible with scheduling changes. He had the whole gang dancing the entire time!!! I would HIGHLY recommend him for any event and hire him again in a heartbeat!! Thanks for contributing to a beautiful wedding! -

My husband wanted karaoke at our wedding (10/13/24) - and Bay Area DJ & Karaoke (Joe) definitely helped us make it happen, and it was a big hit! Communication was responsive, quick, and helpful - even with last minute details. The karaoke set up was clear, and our guests had a blast. 10/10 would recommend. -

We had a great experience with our wedding. The sound equipment worked well. And if there was an issue, it was quickly resolved. All queues were hit perfectly, and breakdown and set up went smoothly. Karaoke was awesome! Everyone had a blast and all song requests were easily granted and queued up. Also, the up-lights were a nice touch. We were super grateful for the experience. -

Joey was an absolute pro with his services. We had set playlists/songs for the pre-ceremony/cocktail hour/dinner background music, the ceremony processional and recessional music that he facilitated without an issue. We also sang for our first dance and he had microphones ready for us to use. The dancing part of the night was the star of the show, where Joey seamlessly transitioned between karaoke and DJ'ed/non-karaoke songs. All of our guests had a wonderful time with the karaoke and Joey helped keep things running smoothly the whole night. The transitions between different locations at the venue for the different scheduled activities (outdoor ceremony to cocktail hour to dinner/cake cutting to dancing indoors) were seamless and our wedding planner + Joey handled those without us even knowing. Highly recommend for weddings in general, and especially if you are planning to do karaoke. We had a blast and our guests did too. Thanks Joey! -

We had such luck finding Joey. Or experience was amazing. By the end of the night we had people who claimed they never danced, dancing alongside us. He definitely kept the flow of the wedding and let us relax and follow instead of feeling like we had to be in charge of everything. -

We were somehow one of the lucky ones who were able to have our planned wedding at the beginning of this year before everything shut down. Joey was the best KDJ ever! He has a huge song selection and runs a smooth operation. He was super responsive to emails and calls and explained everything thoroughly before the big day. Everything went smoothly and exactly as he described. All our guests had so much fun, and he made all the transitions between karaoke songs flawless while keeping everyone pumped up. We ended up extending our booking because we didn’t want the night to end. Joey was very accommodating and had previously explained the option to extend. His rates were super reasonable, especially considering general Bay Area and wedding premiums. Book him for your wedding! -

Book Joey! Wedding planning is stressful.. he makes it easier.
I really enjoyed working with Joey. He kept things simple for me and always maintained a relaxed composure. He sent me a helpful itinerary (which guided me when determining my wedding reception timeline).. this document was a HUGE help!! During the typical stress of wedding planning, he removed a lot of pressure from me by coming up with the entire playlist with very little feedback from me. I just gave him a few songs we liked, to give him an idea of our song preferences, and he came up with a fun dance mix. We also did a combo of dance music and karaoke... and the karaoke was a huge hit!! Afterwards, my guests commented how fun and refreshing it was to have karaoke. I really recommend this dance/ karaoke combo! Joey maintained excellent communication and didn't clog up my inbox with unnecessary emails. I'll book him again if I ever throw another big party! -

Joey is the best!
Joey did an amazing job DJ'ing our wedding in San Gregorio CA on 2/16/19! He was extremely easy to contact and talk to prior to the wedding. With us moving out of the state (after planning the wedding) I was really happy with how easy Joey was with talking and being open to what seemed like my million changes to the music for the wedding.
He kept us on time, without being controlling, he just wanted to make sure that we enjoyed ourselves and had a good time. He played all the country songs that we loved and was really great at keeping the guests dancing and happy.
I would highly highly recommend him! Not only was he an awesome DJ but he was a HUGE sport about having to push his equipment across this really large grassy area that was basically straight mud.. and never complained! He made sure we had everything we needed in case it rained and had a backup plan. He was great, we could not have had a better DJ! Thanks Joey! -

We were so fortunate to book Bay Area DJ and Karaoke Event Services for our wedding this month at Mavericks Event Center. Joey was so terrific to work with leading up to the event, and incredibly responsive- quickly answering all our questions and preparing a detailed timeline of events. On our wedding day, it was reassuring to have him handling the flow of events, from processional to recessional music, to moving guests over to the reception, announcing our entrance, and first dance. He was very responsive to our guests' requests for songs and for karaoke throughout the evening, too. We received so many compliments on his work, and it was just a pleasure to work with him: he has our highest recommendation. -

He was there setting up for our reception before we even arrived, he has a great song list/inventory (we hired him for both dj and karaoke), and he was so patient with and respectful to all our guests! The sound was spot-on, too, and everyone had a terrific time. I am a huge fan and will certainly be booking him for other events in the future.

Joey, the owner of the company, is very professional and displays excellent customer service. If possible, try to get him or his brother as your DJ. Unfortunately, we had an "unpleasant" experience with one of the other DJs--"Andy" would be much more suitable as a DJ for a birthday party or corporate event, but not for a wedding. He was somewhat unaware of the protocol for being a wedding DJ (announcing the bridal party entrance, asking for toasts, checking in with the bridal party etc.), so there were more than a few hang-ups despite having an hour-by-hour breakdown of what I wanted. The bridal party was not announced, so it was an awkward entrance. He also did not announce the cake cutting, so many guests left before the end of the reception. He also completely overlooked the requested anniversary dance, even though it was on the schedule. There was also a rather culturally insensitive moment during one of the songs.
Overall, the company is a good value with good customer service, but do book ahead of time to ensure that you get a quality DJ.
